Trick or Treating for Pennies

 HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! The day of the darkest magic has finaly arrived and there is so much fun to be had... I'll admit to you now that this October has been a whole lot less Halloweeny than years gone by, and even though it feels like I've done a lot less Halloweeny stuff this year I'm kinda happy to just be able to relax and enjoy the chill in the air... 

I spent a long time trying to work out what I wanted to be this year for Halloween... I finally got my Hop(e) on - which also happens to be the name of the backdrop from K&S - and realised that posing in the sewer there was one character I had to be... The sewer seemed far too full of trash, and even the tentacle monster that dwells in the dark wants to escape... 
What kinda Halloween spooky lives in the sewer you might ask? For those of you that appreciate a good horror movie, there's only one real answer... I'm dressing all cute and evil clowish, I'm going to get my IT on... 
One of my store obsessions, Mug, made the perfectly girlie version of Pennywise's outfit - appropriately called Penny, and available until November 10th at Kustom9 - and with the addition of a little make-up to look a little Scherzo - in a make-up that is a Hunt Gift from Fallen Gods Inc, at the soon to shut Trick or Treat Lane - and my clowning around was ready...

Shhh... She's Sleeping!

 It's Halloween Eve, the night before the night of the darkest magic and creepiest events of the year... 
I've had a busy day, but tomorrow is my day off and I'm going to spend it witching it up... Letting myself enjoy the darkness... 
Rudh has been busy getting herself ready to enjoy the Halloween festivities, and looking for the perfect Halloween costume...

The biggest problem that she has every year is because she's spent so much time playing dress-up all month, that by the time she gets to Halloween she has NO IDEA what to dress up as... 
Her and her little friends - all of which happen to be dolls from Garbaggio - spent today planning costumes to be characters from Silent Hill... Rudh and her manly friend Pyralis even had a costume clash, which meant that even though her fabuluous Butcher Set - from Faunus - was better and very awesome, she needed to find something else and fast!!!

Queen Mab... Moth Oracle

I've had a day at home to create a little magic, and as it's getting closer and closer to Halloween, I NEED to let some of that magic out to play... I have no idea what I will be wearing on Halloween itself this year, but I admit that I'm pretty stumped for ideas this year... It never happens, though I will admit I saw someone post on facebook about how this year is less Octoberish than an October is supposed to be and I can't agree more... WHY CAN'T I GET MORE HALLOWEENY ALREADY??!
Maybe some Dark Magic will help me along the way... I'm going to have to ask the spirits for help with this one... 

The oracle known as Queen Mab is one with the moths - she's also a mask and halo set from Tardfish, for the soon to close Nightshade event - and can be found in the darkest parts of the Living Forest - which is a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - and if asked nicely, she may be willing to consult the oracle moths on their creepy skull for advise, guidance and maybe even a peek into the future...

Fighting in the Cosmic Clash

I know that most people don't associate the Halloween season with space based things, but for me, Aliens go hand in hand with my nightmares. I've always had a bit of a phobia about them, and it doesn't help that my Hubby is an Star Wars superfan, I'm never keen on thoughts of Space... I sometimes cannot help myself with thinking of the stars... 

I have seen all of Star Wars - and by ALL of Star Wars, I mean ALL of Star Wars with all the spin-offs and series and cartoons - and I have a thing for Baby Yoda, but not too sure if I'm that bothered by the rest of it... Just don't tell my husband... 
I think if I was in Star Wars I'd end up as a Rebel... Being a good girl can get a little boring... Although I've been a good girl for a while now, the inner baddie is desperate to escape under the surface... That doesn't mean I'm not a good girl... 
I'd jump in a starship in the middle of a Cosmic Clash - which happens to be a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and I'd bring my own version of a droid, he's a bot that's perfect at making breakfast but is terrible in a fight - just so you know he's the Breakfast Bot from Aardvark, and I've been a little naughty in making his tray invisible for this picture's purposes but I've added the ad below so you can see how cute they are with breakfast trays...

The Mourning Moth and her Pets

I felt like it was time for a little dark magic... Halloween is getting closer and closer, and so far the magic has barely been grey let alone dark... I think the Halloween spirits are beginning to get a little twitchy... 
There are spirits stirring in the deepest parts of the darkest forest... Monsters are getting restless and beginning to crawl out of the darkness... 

In the forest it feels like you are being Watched - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - yet it is not the eyes you need to watch out for. Cave of Creeps and Crawly Things

I'm in a lot of pain after a trip to the docs today but luckily I had something a little creepy to make a girl's skin crawl... I needed some kind of distraction, and I think the creepiness of the bugs may just be the kind of place to do it... 

Some people are terrified of bugs, others love them. I'm not one of those that hates them but certain bugs give me the willies... WHY is that though? I've never really understood why people love things like butterflies and ladybirds but other bugs make them squirm and shiver...

Me and my Monster Ghouls

Dress up is SO MUCH FUN... Today has been one of my favourite days for dressing up because this as with every year I LOVE to get myself a little Monster High on... This year it's not me collecting my own ghouls to spend my Monster High day with, this year I got to meet my favourite ghouls in their high school corridor as I became one of them... 

Today I started a new year at Monster High and got to walk the school hallways with the amazing ghoulfriends of Monster High... I've always been a MASSIVE fan and wished that Monster High had been a thing when I was an 11 year old girl playing her barbie dolls... It would have been a case of BARBIE WHO?!
For those of you that don't know, Monster High is about the children of well known Monsters... I had to decide who my parents would be, of course knowing me I'd be the daughter of a demonness, full of Hellfire and Toxicly Painted... Rule the School

These days I seem to spend a lot of time on my own in SL... I don't really seem to have that many people I want to be around anymore, and since the days of the Gators MC when the world seemed like one drama after another, I'm not sure I'm in a happy place all of the time. My besties and I find it hard to see each other and sometimes I wish I was brave enough to wander through SL and meet more people. I'm even too shy to fan girl at people that I enjoy the pictures of when I bump into them at shopping events... Life has gotten very quiet for me in SL... I think that may also be a reason why I'm finding it harder and harder to get into the Halloween spirit and play dress up this year.. All of my "costumes" are just Rudh outfits with a twist LOL... Today it's Monster High with a Rudh Twist as I'm hanging with my ghouls at School... 

Once the original monster High Divas have moved on from the school, the new class takes over and as with the Pink Ladies of Grease, the role of the cool kids is passed from one core group to the next... Rudh and her Ghouls have that status... Rudh is a random Monster, Penelope a daughter of a Pennywise clown, Pippa the child of the demons in the box and Cornelia whose father is a freak of the andy variety - all of the dolls are past releases from Garbaggio - rule the school... 
Rudh is a monster of indisclosed heritage, but no one in the school would dare refuse her place as the top girl... She dressed in a Spooky Dress - from NeverWish - and mis-matched Spooky Sleeves and Socks - which are available separately from Quills & Curiosities at Trick or Treat Lane until October 31st - and although she accessorised with some cute things, she'd be willing to admit that it would be hard to choose between the Wickedly Cute Chest Tattoo - from Adora-tions - or her hot pink Skelly Bear Pal - from NeverWish at FLF'O'WEEN until October 31st - is always her most difficult decision...

The Monster Within

It's been another busy day at work... There has been a lot of nonsense from people that seem to think that they know better than me about a subject I deal with on a daily basis, and think they have the answers to questions I answer about a million times per day... It brings out the monster in me. I feel like Dr.Jekyll sometimes, feeling frustrated and as that boils up I have to duck into the office to release Mrs Hyde... I think I prefer the Mrs Hyde version of me sometimes... 

This outfit was something that I had played around with when the Engine Room was around but due to all of the scary looks I've been playing with, Mrs Hyde, who is similar to Frankenstein's Monster in her crazy steampunkish way.

The Doctors are IN!

I've been feeling shockingly shit for the last few days, I know that it's nothing too bad - just a migraine which although I'm not suffering like some people but head pains always seem very debilitating - and I guess that it has influenced my photography, as things tend to do, therefore today I've called the Doctors in and they are here to make a diagnosis for my 31 days of Halloween looks... 

The Doctor is in the house, but the diagnosis is NOT looking good... A second Doctor, Dr. Plague - a cute little release from MishMish at Kustom9 - is already in attendance, and that means there must be a bit of a problem... Now that Dr. Noxious - the mask being part of a set with a hat from Quills & Curiosities at the new round of The Warehouse - has wheeled in the Blood Brews Cart - from DRD - a proper diagnosis can be made... The patient laying on the Bat Bed - from Violetility at FaMESHed X - isn't looking too well, in fact he's looking pretty dead, I don't think there is anything that we can do to save him... Onto the next...

Say My Name... Rudhlejuice...

There's magic, there's mystery and there's madness in the air... It's almost Halloween time, and we should be loving spooky feelings that are all around us... I recently re-watched a film that I love each and every year that I see it, Beetlejuice... I love that crazy Burtonesque vibe, whether it's Beetlejuice or if it's a Nightmare before Christmas, or even a little bit of a Corpse Bride, and  tosodafeeliny I was  a little bit Beetlejuicy... So for my 31 looks of Halloween today I'm going to be a little bit Rudhlejuicy... 

There's always something kooky about Beetlejuice so I let my mind go a little magical and a lottle kooky! Creating my Beetlejuice Look actually came about all because of a release from Normandy, the DRIFT set comes with both top and skirt, but it was the skirt that caught my attention - and I've had to ad the store ad to the bottom of my post so that you can see just how cute the look is - and I'll mesmirize myself with the shinies...  
Now, all I need to do is have someone say my name a few times...

Darkness in the Light

Halloween draws closer each day and for the last few days of my now 29 days of Halloween looks - lol yes 29 because I've missed 2 days so far and yes I'm fairly disappointed in myself for missing those two days - and I feel like right now I need to do something a little darker... Let's say it's because of thepain in my foot after my trip but the darkness is calling me, it's dark and mysterious out there in the black abyss...  

Deep in the darkness of The Forgotten - one of the best SL Events at this time of year - you can bump into all different kinds demonic monsters... 
Today we've bumped into one that is a little dark and demonic, but hiding in a place of the light, where it's warm and cozy... She's helped herself to a delicious bottle of juice from the "Pick your Poison" brand of drinks - available from hive at Equal10 - and standing there in the lava-like light she really catches and demands the attention.. 
Her head encircled by halos - like the Ishtar Headpiece from Six Feet Under, and the Shairi Halo from Petrichor at Trick or Treat Lane - allowing the passer by to see that she's a higher ranking demon. Her skin is marked up, blackened by the heat and scarred with Valhalla markings - from GERMINAL at Necrotize - and she definitely makes a statement, and she'd love to see you in the dark!!!

A Little Ray of Pitch Black

Halloween is now officially over and that means that for many people, the spookies will be stashed away in closets until next year... It's not going to be the case for me, I love the spookies, but then many people might say I've always been a little weird lol... I like it that way!!
I might not be dressing up in full on costumes at the moment, but I'm liking letting my dark little dead doll side out to play... 

I'd been playing in other ways too though this month, and was super excited that this Halloween saw the return of the ever brilliant Pulse Games, with their Cutting Class Game!!! The best Halloween event, aside from the Dark Adventures because I'm biased about that one, by far this month!!
While on the hunt through the game, the little dead doll I am had to find herself in an adorable outfit... I guess you might call this a look-of-the-day, and technically as we're talking about Pulse Games we can focus on the adorable Sn@tch Wrong Crop tops, which come in a set and have both cute Halloween and non-Halloweeny slogans on - these are available until the end of today at Trick or Treat Lane! Painting my skin with tattoos from Germinal and Seydr - both of which are game prizes from the Cutting Class Game...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN PUMPKINS!!

It's the best day of the year, the time when all the spookies come out to play. I've been spooky all month so far but today I decided to pull out the pumpkins... 

I'll be honest I've been kinda saving this pumpkin look and now that it's Halloween it feels like the time to bring it out of the bag...

Witchcraft in Darkwood

 A few days ago, before I had to venture out into RL for work, my boobooface and I went to go a little Halloweening... I love this time of year for all of the fun Halloween stuff to do... While we were out exploring, we found a "Return to Darkwood" and the little witch that I was was drawn home... Somewhere dark and swampy, with more than a hint of magic... 

I was excited to go back, and explore home... Taking my familiar - who looks just as dopey as my RL kitty Anna - but for some reason when I went home my skin reverted to it's gorgeous natural green tone - thanks to this amazing skin released by Wyrd for Trick or Treat Lane! Now that I think about it, my eyes look a little clearer too... The Plague Eyes are looking less white than normal, and more colourful - thanks to The Little Bat, also at Trick or Treat Lane!

Fresh Spun Cotton Candy

 SPIDERS!!! Some people love them and others REALLY do not, but like them or hate them they are synonymous with Halloween - having Halloween scares without spiders is like having Nuggets without sauce. I don't love them myself, and the bigger they are the more they they freak me out, but I'm not totally anti them! 
So whilst on my daily rounds at the maze today, I dropped in to spend some time with one of HellBone's beloved little pets... 

His adorable little spider pet is waiting in the corridors of the maze, and she loves to make new friends. I will warn you now, she's a little friendly, but she makes the best Cotton Candy - all fluffy and soft from UNICORN STORE - and her children love it as much as I do, crawling all over me wanting a little taste for themselves... 
When Rudh is checking in on her Spiderlicious friend, she will often dress herself so that the littles don't get too scared... Cobwebs make up her gorgeous Arachne Dress - from Oubliette at Trick or Treat Lane - her make-up is drawn on to look spider like - by Slack Girl - and even her eyes adjust in the dark to show the spiders within - thanks to the A.D.D.Andel Spider Eyes. To make these things a little clearer though, I wanted to add a collage of the eyes and make-up, both are gorgeous and so worth checking out in a bigger scale than how they show in my photo...

Furbabies Never Really Leave!

I've seen so many posts on facebook about people losing their people and furbabies recently and maybe due to this, or maybe it´s due to other things, but I keep having this feeling of coming sadness. Like someone I love and call family is going to disappear or worse! I hope that I´m just being over sensitive and empathetic to the people I see sharing their pain, but it has me on edge! 
Today´s picture is a representation of that sadness, even though the location is somewhere totally awesome I just felt like it spoke volumes of my mood right now!

I have been in a bit of a downer kinda mood for the past few days, I'm trying to blame it on having a cold but I guess there may be more to it than that... So as I was exploring the awesome setting that is Trick or Treat Lane - it's great both as a pretty sim and a shopping event by the way - I stopped in the Cemetery to say hello to old friends. 
I was overcome with a few emotions, but I clearly remember feeling like I was being followed. While I was there I found myself thinking about my old cat, that lived with Mum in RL, and I really had the distinct feeling that I could hear her miaow whispering in the wind as I left the cemetery. 
I'd only gone to TOTL to find a fab place to pose in my new TOTL based outfit! An adorable collection from JACKALOPE, a collection involving the Tabitha Sweatshirts, Fringe Shorts and the awesome Bat Tights! 
Please excuse me now though, I may be back later but I think I need to give my living furbabies a cuddle!

Picking Pumpkins

I went to the store today in RL, and was doing some of my usual grocery shopping... Buying the usual things for the weekend and making sure I had enough cat and dog food too, but then I noticed they have now got pumpkins available for sale so naturally I had to check those out too... 
Yet they were a massive disappointment... TINY and not really made for carving!!! I'm going to have to fulfill my crazing for pumpkins in SL this year!

I went for a coffee in the lovely gardens of All Hallows at Moochie, and stumbled upon their pumpkin patch... Selecting myself this adorable pumpkin - which is in fact by Zombie Suicide at Trick or Treat Lane by the way - I wanted something a little different and this studded one was just pretty with it's purple shimmer it needed to be part of my collection...

Tricks or Treats at the Movies

A couple of days ago, one of my favourite events to blog opened and I'm very excited about it as it means that Halloween is getting closer... I LOVE this event because it reminds me of one of those things I've always wanted to do. It was never really a thing in the UK while I was a child, but I've always wanted to be able to Trick or Treat in the way it's done in the States... That's why Trick or Treat Lane always seemed like such a fun event for me... 
Still failing that, since I cant Trick or Treat in Holland either, I'm going to just resign the fact that I won't be doing it again this year, and watch some cool movies instead... 

In a local old movie theater, they are playing some of the Horror Greats, and I think I may start with a little Friday the 13th... Before the movie starts I do have a little TOTL inspired look of the day - with some other fun stuff thrown in for fun! 
Yes it's a barely there outfit, thanks to a bodysuit from OOPS - which you can still grab now at Necrosis - but it was purely because I wanted to show of these fab socks and Luna Mary Janes from 1313 Mockingbird Lane! The colours and patterns make for some really funky Halloween shoes for those of you that only live Halloween in October... I'll be using these ALL YEAR!!! 
I found someone else that really liked them too... While I was getting up to go grab I nice bottle of Bubble Magic Potion, a HILTED Zombie grabbed for my shoes, and while I was running away his hand got attached to my leg!!! BEWARE ADORABLE SHOES AROUND ZOMBIES!!!
