Awakening the Spring Spirit

Back from my vacation and ready to get back into being an adult, I think?!! I mean does anyone ever really want to be an adult? There are so many expectations that I simply cannot be excited about it right now... I guess that's why I let my mind wander into the fantasy realm sometimes, and since I'm already missing my parents, that's just where I will let my mind go again... 
Maybe it's time to start planning ahead and welcoming in the spirits of Spring...

The Spirits of Spring have been hanging around the Nature Palace - which is a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - until it was time to start coming out of hiding. Things are still inter changable between the hot and the cold, there is no way that we can be sure and so everyone has been taking scarves and gloves, as well as light coats wherever they go... Hopefuly now that the Spring Spirits are awakening, preparing their magical spells and coming out into the light things may start getting a little warmer, brighter and happier...

Fairy Flower Magic

I wanted a little sprinkle of some light, bright fairytale magic today. I know Halloween is meant to be about the dark and spooky but dressing up, is dressing up, and well originally the fairytales were nothing like the Disneyfied happy endings we get now... 
Still a little sprinkle of fairytale magic can't hurt, especially when I'm feeling so low right now... 

I've always loved readin fairytales. I love the magic, the drama, the love that can be found... I've always wanted to let my inner fae out to play and in SL there are just so many different ways that I can do exactly that... I love expressing my fairytale creativity in Secondlife and having so many pretty things to play with really does help.
Today the fairy in me is trying all different kinds of magic to help the Frog Prince return to his human form, since Princess Tiana is on holiday...

Relaxing with Friends

I'll be honest with you, I am definitely slacking on the blogging front this month, what with the death of my fur baby and then a visit from my parents in RL, I've barely thought about Second Life and anything related. I'm running out of time to get things done, and even though there's an extra day in February I'm wondering if I'll be able to achieve this month's target! 
I had to do something fantastical today, being a fantasy character usually seems to help me get my creativity going... A mermaid, even when she's relaxing at home with her little underwater friends will be the kick I need... 

So what do mermaids do when they are taking their time off from swimming and singing and playing under the water... They kick back, if you could call it that when they have a tail rather than legs, in their underwater room - which in this case is more like an entire Flooded Apartment from Synnergy.Tavis - floating around on a Bubble Throne - from Normandy until February 28th at Abnormality - as she giggles at the adorable Lil' Sea Monster - from Tardfish, he's also available now at Abnormality - that snuck into her room...

Cookies Worth Fighting For

Christmas is coming down a slippery slope, today is in fact Sinterklaas in the Netherlands which happens to be their fke version of Christmas and I'm laughing as I say so... I have noticed that there are so many people getting into stress and dramas and almost fighting for the deals in the stores... 
It got me thinking about these fights, and how they could be better handled... How would fighting be more suitable... For some reason I started thinking about cookies and well the results were amazing... 

Nothing could be more entertaining than the Gingerbread Fighters in the boxing ring that were in the middle of a heated match... The place is crawling with spectating Gingerbread Friends, supporting and cheering and some don't seem all that happy either - both the Gingerbread Fighters and Friends are available now from Aardvark, with the Friends available until December 22nd at Uber whilst the Fighters are in the mainstore - there was even one trying to escape the event... Never worry though, bouncer Jolly Gingerbread - that's me in costume by the way - was able to play Kidnap Cookie - from Tardfish at The Warehouse Sale - and bring him back into the fighting...

An Enchanting Mermaid Dance

 My happy place always tends to be something fantastical. I'venever been very good at straight up, look-of-the-day kinda posts like some of my blogging buddies, and even though I ALWAYS love what I post, I know not all of them will please everyone. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too random and all over the place for most people, you never know what kind of picture you'll see escape my mind... 
Today it was something a little magical and aquatic... Enchantment has opened it's doors to the Mer Kingdom, and if you know me at all you should know that I love to create pretty Mermaids and let them swim through my mind as a happy place... 

Although many of my mermaids tend to look similar, they should as they are from the same family tree considering they all drop out of my mind... I still love to bring them to the surface and allow everyone to watch them dance under the waves, bubbles and fishies swirling along in the dance... 
She's dressed up for a party to dance, wearing her pearls and tiaras, but its the bigger that is the most special... The biggest of the tiara's was a special gift, a Mermaid Headpiece fit for a dancing queen - made by Boutique #187 exclusively at Enchantment until December 2nd - and it definitely enhances her mermaid vibes...

If only they knew...

Today is very important for two special reasons... First, and foremost, it's Fathers Day... Happy Father's Day to all of the dad's out there. Secondly, and perhaps although not as important but definitely more delicious. Today is also International Sushi Day... 
I've only fairly recently become a fan of sushi, for some reason I always avoided it but then I tried, and fell in love... I don't know all of the names of the types yet, with the exception of Ebi-Fry, which I will admit that I am addicted to and would be more than willing to eat my body weight in... So, since I can't be with my Dad, I'm going to do something fishy instead... 

In the Mermaid's Cove - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - the dark, devious little mermaid decided that today be the most obvious day to try that sushi food that she'd heard humans talk about... No idea what it is, she had some delivered to that usual spot on the dock. She grabbed the package and slipped below the waves to try the nosh for the first time... I wonder what the little shoal of fish would think if they knew what sushi really is?!

Dance among the Bubbles

When I have days off it's the time that I find myself able to get creatively happy, and sometimes a new product is released that makes me scream and I cannot get my hands on it fast enough... 
Then it was on a journey under the waves, where the mermaid in me met her fairy match and the mixing became one of the prettiest beings I think we'll ever get to meet... Deep below the surface, the Merfae sparkles and dances in the bubbles...  

Under the sea, where the Merfae dances amongst the bubbles, she's greeted and welcomed into the cove by the adorable floraray Manta Rays - from Yokai - who taught her the dance of the magical sea folk...

A Spark of Dark Magic

Today I was able to leave work a little early and I have never been so happy to enjoy few extra hours sitting on the sofa to read and even take a nap... 
When I have a chance to feel better like this, my pictures often take on a somewhat happy, fairytale, fantasy sort of look... The magic starts to swirl in my mind, the sparkles and whether they are pretty magic or dark mysterious magic, everything comes together and the magic makes me smile... 

Today one of my favourite little demonic souls, slipped through the gates of Purgatory in order to collect some of the magic created by the fae... Fairy magic is so potent, that it is highly prized in the purgatory world, where magic is weak and demonic souls need every drop to control the unruly, newly deceased... 
Today it's a spark of neon blue, often used to calm those lost souls...  
I LOVE the way that this demoness turned out, from the colours of her jewels in her collar - the Deathcaller's Mantle from Quills & Curiosities - and the tattoo on her chest - which is a Jeweled Lotus tattoo from Adora-tions - to the colour of her eyes - a new release from Maktub Store at the upcoming round of Ritual that runs from May 22nd until June 12th - it's a look that makes me extremely happy...

Not So Innocent Forest Friends!

If ever I feel lost when it comes to the blogging, I tend to find myself heading into a fantasy world, the sparkles and the magic draw me in and seem to somehow make magic happen. When I start getting the creative bug with the pretty magical feeling, I find myself getting lost in the picture all day and then once the magic has coarsed through me, everything seems to become easier... 
I'm hiding in a magical forest glade right now, somewhere I can be alone and don't have to think about anything, but somewhere that may not be as innocent as it seems... 

The glade in the forest - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis, and a whole host of Fireflies from tarte and MishMish -seems so perfectly sparkly, so far away from the rest of the world. 
Though it's not all as sweet and innocent as it may appear, there is more to this pretty grove in the woods, there's more to the glade than meets the eye... If you look closely you'll notice that the log isn't wood, it's actually a soft comfy pillow - from Elm - that makes for a handy bed, but other things also point to a slightly naughty side, look closely at the set of the Forest Friends - from Krescendo, you'll see things more clearly!!!

Pretty Clutter on the Shelf!

Keeping the house tidy... It's something that we're all expected to do unless we're able to have someone to do it for you. I will fully admit that I HATE cleaning, and the worst of the worst is dusting... I HATE dusting. The only problem wih that is that I have so many itty, bitty things, and that the city I live in is terrible for creating dust, so therefore if I don't do it often enough, it could easily become a scene in any horror film...

I love that about Second Life though, I can have all kinds of pretty things decorating each an every surface in my house without any need to clean them up. I have gadgets and gizmos a plenty, hoozits and whatsits galore, there are trinkets on every surface...
Beautiful lamps - like the one from Lucas Lameth - sit alongside potion bottles - from Short Leash, at My Bloody Valentine - books balance precariously alongside beautiful potted plants, and the most interesting of pictures are balanced on the shelves... This pictures in particular is a special one, it's a Bell'angelo, a Living Masterpiece - from Short Leash at Abnormality - filled with the prettiest of rose demons... Roses are beautiful but the thorns are definitely the playthings of the rose demon...

Falling in Neon

Sundays are supposed to be holy and restful for certain religions of the world, but today for me was so far away from holy or restful... I was as far from it as I could be, I feel so sleepy after one of the busiest weeks at work, and all I want to do is sleep for a week... 
I'm definitely not the holy type though, in fact I'm much father fallen from grace than closer to any kind of God... Fallen, dark and mysterious... 

I was shackled and chained into ball and chains, pushed from the heavens and left to fall hard and fast bak to earth... 
Hell looks a little Neon... It's a Curse - an outfit from Normandy - and as she's falling her horns that would be her ruin, illuminating her fall and allowing the Karma Crown - a head piece from LuluB - to decorate her final demonic form... She's a little Dandy...

I've been seeing everywhere about the changes the LL are making to SL in regards to the Gacha policy and I have to admit that I'm on both sides of the fence... I know I can continue to resell my Gacha extras since I will be advertising EXACTLY what people will get, but I'm kinda glad too because I will admit I have a bit of an addiction and can blow thousands of Lindens needlessly on things I don't want anymore! 
To distract myself from all of the talk on Facebook though I decided to slip away and be one with the fairies... 

I really can be all over the place when it comes to blogging, but I LOVE playing around with things... 
I was planning on writing a pretty story, but right now I'm thinking about the Gacha thing and I just love this hair from analog dog that as soon as I tried it I was thinking DANDELION in the blond colour... 
I also know it's TEENY in the picture but I have to show you something AMAZING... The recent release from Celeste - and I have to admit here that I forgot where I bought it but may be able to change that later hehe - is SO FREAKING GORGEOUS I had to add the store add to show it off in the bestest way ever... Picking A Rose

A Tale as Old as Time... That Stockholm syndrome infused tale that saw a young lady trapped in by someone that kept her prisoner, someone that she eventually fell in love with and helped lift his monstrous curse... I've read other versions, in which magic was being eradicated from the land, and the heroine's mother was the one to curse the prince... Twisted and depraved... 
It's time for Belle to get a little retribution.. In my head this would be something like, her suddenly wanting to smell a flower...

After barging into the west wing, our heroine smashed the dome covering the monsters precious rose, snatching it up and walking from the room. Watching his precious leave the room, the monster was not sure which made him more frustrated...

Nights on a Neon Beach

What a hectic day today, honestly I've not seen my day job so busy as it was today in such a long time, that my entire body has a feeling of ouchies... I'm sore all over lol... 
I think that I need a day to just switch off - in truth I need a trip home to my parents - and relax, let my hair down and do something fun... I think I'd like to go back to the beach, but this time I'm going to head to a beach that's a little more day-glo than fun in the sun... 

I'm gonna head to a neon beach, dance on the dark shores and eat icy things... Lollies and Summer Snowcones.... Delicious and cold, perfect for a day on my neon beach, and luckily my adorable "Anchor's Away" bikini and skirt set - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - was the perfect look to play on the neon beach in...

Moths in the Attic

Just when I feel like it's time to come out of the shadows and get back to some semblance of normal, things shift and everything rolls back to square one... After the craziness that has been going on in the Netherlands with regards to the riots, and the loss of a dear SL friend this week, I just cannot bring myself to wander too far into the light... 
I'm like a moth, wanting desperately to enter into the light, not brave enough to dare to get too close... 

In the attic of the Varonis Verendus, the dark little moth girl hides in the shadows, watching the the world pass by out of the window as the moonlight catches just a glimpse of her... 
She's mystical, she's magic, and the glitter is drawing the gentle moth friends around the dusty old attic... If it's not the magic sparkles, maybe it's the magic within the Caithe pendant - a gorgeous necklace from random.Matter - around her neck...

Demons love a good Chassis Augmentation

Anyone who knows me, or has read anything or even has heard of me may well know that I am, and have been or the longest time, a Secretary for the Gators MC in SL, and have been married to HellBone who is a RL Biker for many years. So I guess I have a somewhat pressure built affinity for a good motorcycle. I notice them more in the street, and love the sweeping lines of the bikes that my hubby makes in SL... 
So for some reason today, the demon in me had been playing in the garage, and suddenly she spotted something red and shiny... This demon is a motor head, drinking toxic waste and getting her kicks with the big rumbling machines... 

The toxic waste in the corner of the garage was delicious for her demonic tastebuds... Recharging her inner core, giving her a little Chassis Augmentation - thanks to the amazing new body piece released by FIKA at the new Mainframe event - the inner workings glowing as they charge. 
She approaches the new bike that's been parked by it's handsome rider, it's a shiny red Red Bob Chopper - from Hogs & Cart Wheels that will be available soon at the new round of Necrosis - she cannot help herself but take a seat on the seat of her bike, enjoying the feeling of the rumbling of the machine as it calms down...

Creation of a Chaos Demon

Deep in the basement of the mad science institute, you may stumble into the remains of a laboratory with a very dark past. Experiments took place here, cadavers were brought back to life, and body parts replaced to create evil, monstrous weapons... Most of these were destroyed when the lab was closed, but one remained, lost and forgotten, programmed to wreak havoc on the world in 2020... Now she's awake!

She's been mutilated, tortured and twisted into something that resembles her former demonic self - they left her Seer Horns - from Lovely Alien at Necrotize until November 20th - the rest of her though has been modified to unleash chaos. Her arms have been modified in what they called the "Cenobite's Wrath" - tools for maximum pain from FIKA at Necrotize - and some Sil Lingerie to give that demonic beauty a fearsome look - thanks to PSYCHO.Byts, also at Necrotize - still at least the Weird Science Tank - from Violetility at The Warehouse Sale - will hold her... Or will it?!

Ice-Cream for the Fairies

OK I know that it's nearly Halloween but I decided to have a little change today and do something super cute and fairyful, just because I'd been doing some digging around in my inventory and found some pretty fairy Ice-Cream that had to be shared with my friends in the Lost Unicorn Forest!

Moths Love the Light

 I'm hiding in the darkness today and I'm waiting for the lights to go out... I want to sleep and hide from the bad thoughts going around in my head but my mind is like a moth to a flame and I'm being drawn back towards the thoughts that I so deeply want to hide from. 

I guess when I'm in a mood like this though, it's when the best kind of photos happen, and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this picture right now! 
I fell in love with the body part the moment I saw it shared on facebook, and got even luckier by winning it on my first try of the gacha machine at Lootbox... This is the Rare lootbox item from CURELESS in the Moirai Sisters machine... It's GORGEOUS! It draws the blood thirsty Lepidoptera Butterflies to her skin to mark her as one of the living dead... 
With the addition of a few little things, like these pretty Dragon Eyes - from NoRush - the wings and neck fluff - from darkendStare - and these amazing Moth Antennae - from Lovely Alien that will be available tomorrow for the Secret Sunday Sale - it was the perfect picture for the way I feel right now!

Fairy Scars dance in the light

It's FAR too hot and all I want to do is hide in the shade and wait for the Autumn to come. Every side of me is too dormant to come out to play, and I had to shake them awake... 

One of the dark fairies was the only one to stir, as she arose from her soft bed in the dappled light of the trees at the Lost Unicorn Forest, she steps over her sleeping fae sisters and heads out into the shadows... As she wanders through the the dappled lights of the forest the scars on her skin appear to come to life, dancing like butterflies on the rays of light... 

This outfit was actually not inspired by the butterflies, but I cannot help but get excited about these amazing  Lepidoptera Markings from CURELESS... The Cureless owner has been taunting us with these scars and butterflies for a while now, and I was super excited to see that she had released them! Then I remembered this amazing Spring Spirit Gacha collection from Lovely Alien that has some of the pretties flowery lingerie and straps for the arms and legs, as well as these AMAZING horns...
