Fairy Defence in the Darkness!

Sometimes I have a craving when it comes to blogging to do things that are NOT normal and let myslf get lost in a fairytale, be that a good or a dark one... Being lost in a fairytale really helps me with my mental state and right now being lost feels like a great idea. There is just too much going on in my own little world, as well as in the real world, and without complaining here too much I feel like I'm losing the battle pretty fast... So step back from the norm Rudh and find a way to embrace the darkness... My darkness feels like a HUGE monster, lets make him more friendly and things will calm down once more?! I hope... 

In the garden of the Spinners, my monster floats through the light that breaks through the trees and the darkness... He's a cloaked Hornswoggle - made by Tardfish, available at the Fantasy Faire Aventurine Promenade to raise money for Race for Life - and though he lurks in the dark, when he comes into the light he's a lot less scary and more like a Ringwraith from the Lord of the Rings... 
He's always trying to scare the fae folk that wander through the gardens.. Rudh as a sassy little fae isn't one to mess with. I guess that's why I decided to take on my monster as a fae today... She's a little thorny, but she sparkles in the dark so that the monsters are intimidated. She's armed with her Willowvine Wand - from Simply Shelby at the Fantasy Faire Stoneveil Crossing Sim - and the magic within will keep her monster at bay...

Magic of the Fantasy Faire

Today is an important day today in Second Life, since today is the day that Race for Life opens it's Fantasy Fair and therefore the fantasy beings will be able to gather some amazingly wonderful things, experience just a little more magic and raise some funds that will head towards cancer research... 
Cancer Research is something very important but at the moment I am finding it more so than ever because of my mother being sick with Pancreatic Cancer... I would do anything to find a way for her to feel better right now... I would hope that any glimmer of magic could help... 

We are trying to find happiness in every little thing that we're doing, and we aren't planning things too far ahead so that she can just take things easy and let things happen as they happen... 
I'm searching for as much magic as I can in Second Life to help me get through this, so I can support her...

Warning Signs in the Club Tonight!

I may have had the day off today but I've been a busy girl... I'm trying to keep myself occupied at the moment, living in this craphole of a flat... They even asked me if I'd be interested in covering shifts downstairs, and I KNOW the moment that they get me on their list that any time it's busy I WILL be called to come downstairs and help any time it's busy. No thank you, really... I don't want that at all... 
If I was going to take on another job it would be something totally different from the work I already do, aside from the fact that I am entertaining people as they buy cheese, I think I'd need to do something of a little different sort of entertainment?! 

When I first started Second Life, I like a lot of people started as a dancer and an escort. I read a LOT of smut and love it in lots of different forms. I was always a rather bad girl, until I settled down with my hubby that is captain vanilla and like a big teddybear... I love him, don't me wrong but I'm kinda dying to be a bad girl LOL... Maybe that's the new job I've got to start... Maybe I should go back to being an escort and let the bad girl run free... 
It's play time - as the signs on the toy shelves from Krescendo - state, and this club is known to get a little wild... While the money rains down, as I take a moment to sit comfortably - in a pose from piXit - and get a lot of attention just for eating one of the club's Naughty Waffles - from everfaery at this month's round of Lewd Station... It's true what some say, food kinks are the best paying kinks hehe... I will have to put up some signs to warn people about any wetness that may be present around the stage!!!

St.Patrick's Day

It's St.Patrick's Day today... Traditionally only a special day in Ireland, it seems like it's slowly seeping out into the world, and I kinda get the feeling it's become more of a thing in America now than Ireland even. Maybe I'm wrong, but anyone that I spoke to today that seemed to be celebrating was not current Irish but of Irish decent... Funny how traditions shift and change throughout the world isn't it? Wonder why St.Patrick's Day become such a phenomenon, but things like St.George's Day - which is a patron saint day of the English - for example, was less of a thing... I mean everyone celebrates their own chosen things, personally outside of SL I wouldn't be doing anything for St.Patrick's Day but in SL is a whole different story... 

I've seen so many people partying and enjoying their St.Patrick's Day celebrations in Second Life and I think that's bloody awesome... I really do... I've always been like that and lately I'm a LOT less like the party animal I once was. I spend far too much time on my own at the moment, I think I should make some new friends or hang out with the old ones that I still have... I wanted to do something different, something more my usual loner style at the moment... Something with a hint of magic, something to test myself with practising decor pictures... 
Today, I heard a noise in the shed... When I snuck down there was a magical air to the place, the table top where I am learning the new art of flower pressing and drying for arts sake had some gorgeous little bright green shamrocks all over it... Gold coins glittered in the rainbow light, and there was a mysterious hat on the table that wasn't there when I left the shed earlier... 
So for now I'm going to set up a trap and wait to see if there is a Leprechaun exploring my shed, until then, Happy St.Patrick's Day...

Gifts of the Gods

It's been a while since I did something that lt my fantasy side out to play and for some reason I found myself veering towards the magical, dream-like and fanstastical... I had no idea where I would go, but my mind lead me to something a little God-like... Not any modern god either, this one was a little historical magic... 

I think that today though, the magic did have some kind of base in reality... My feet are hurting after a long day of work and well... I kinda wished for magical gifts of shoes from the gods... Little did I know that it was the Egyptian gods that were listening and that they'd grant me the magic of their people to walk on... 
I'll be walking like an Egyptian in no time...

The Anti-Valentine

Valentine's is getting nearer, you can hear it sneaking up on us a little like the Jaws theme is playing on repeat in the background, and honestly as much as I'm trying to enjoy the festivities in SL, I'm distracted and acting a LOT more like a grumpy Anti-Valentine... There is still a little magic to be had for the Anti-Valentine though, and since the Midnight Order is a perfect place for people to seeking something dark and deadly, and the Anti-Valentine is more than willing to help... 

So within the Damirin Halls - which are actually a backdrop by The Bearded Guy - in the Midnight Order's hallowed halls, there are lots of remnants of the Blood Magic of the old Magic Clans... 
The Anti-Valentine is a little Devilish with her red, bloody skin, and wilted roses litter her blood stained wings. She's a Curse Cupid - which is a Faunus release for The Cupid's Curse, available until March 4th - and a little bit of a Demonia - which is a gorgeous new head release from BeSpoke, available until March 6th at Collabor88 - but she's a royalty in the world of dark magic and the dark little counterpart to that horrible baby cupid...

Beasts Released!

Oh my gosh it's the end of January... Where did January go? Normally the month seems to go on forever and yet this year it was a blink and you miss it situation... 
Now though the Valentine's feelings are able to come in and cause epic amounts of chaos for a couple of weeks... The little naked flying babies have been released and they are on their way to earth BUT there may be a slight problem... A little error occurred in the release process... 

When the release button was pushed, it somehow unlocked other containment units at Cryptid HQ, and things that should have stayed locked away until the scary season have been released... Monsters that may cause Valentine's to become Anti-Valentines, and at this time it is unsure how many of these things were let loose... 
Now, never fear everyone, we have warned the illusive Secret Society that is the Midnight Order, and they will be working tirelessly to both assist our recapture efforts and provide distraction with their wonderful shopping experience... 
Now we just gotta play like they are Pokemon and catch 'em all...Just a shame we don't know how many got loose? This could cause chaos... Valentine's could either be cute or deadly... I guess we have to watch this space right?!

Decorations Don't Go Quietly!

It's that most yucky of days after the Christmas festivities in my house today... I'm not sure if it's today or tomorrow that it's traditional to take down Christmas decorations but in our house, we took the decor down today. I was not looking forward to it, but it has been done, everything is ready to be stashed away again and things look dark and empty... 

It makes me laugh how we use the same things over and over and over again, I'm not one of those people that wants a pristine or chic looking Christmas tree, I LOVE it when things are colourful and mismatched and traditions that remain the same every year... I know, especially in times like this, I want things to be cozy and comforting... I dislike this darkness that has decended in my living room today... It's only going to get emptier as we prepare the house for our moving date... 
While stuffing things in to the old chests in the Attic, I made a little discovery... One of the Gingerbread men that had appeared in many of my posts over the festive period was REALLY not ready to return to his Spring/Summer/Autumn sleep, he got angry and tried to Choke Me Out - he's a festive release from Tardfish that I HOPE will still be available in the mainstore but let me know if I'm wrong please! - and well since he wanted to stay awake I'll just have to take his place for a long nap in a cosy old trunk...

Skellington's Christmas Sciences!

Well we've made it to December, the festive season is officially starting and it's all beginning to look a lot like Christmas... I am not feeling very festive at all, and there is a lot more things for me to be worried about and on edge over at the moment, I'll be fine and will hopefully find the Christmas spirit somewhere... 
At the moment I feel a little like Jack Skellington when he was trying to discover Christmas for himself... 

I guess I was thinking about that when my mind was putting together my picture idea today... 
Jack Skellington's home came to mind, the day after he was starting his scientific search for Christmas secrets. I wanted to create something like my dark little mind trying to find the sparkle of Christmas, the magic that comes with all of the decor and treats and fun of Christmas... There was a little elf getting in the way, and my dark little minions decided to lock him away, but there could be a breakthrough...

Stopping for the Hearts

This time of year is always a little weird, since Halloween has been and gone and everywhere is filled with Christmas for days... I LOVE Christmas, I admit that easily, but I don't like that it seems to start earlier and earlier every year... It's not even December and people are already beginning to get sick of it... It won't be ong till we all start acting like it's Valentine's Day soon, when in fact it's only the middle of January LOL... So I'm getting myself prepared in advance... Lots of hearts and a little romance... 

I know that I read far too much of the Dark Romance genre, but I do love the idea of a little bit of smut. I don't get any romance in RL, I love my hubby but his latest attempt at a date day was a trip to buy a new garden shed LOL... So the dark and some might say scary book boyfriends I have are the ones that I'd make my Valentine and enjoy the romantic darkness with them...

Catching Dreams and Nightmares

When I'm working on looks and setting up pictures, it is only a matter of time before something magical gets it's way and is allowed to escape from the darkest corners of my mind, into the light... That is especially true at this time of year, when the monstrous are waiting to be freed...These monsters can come from dreams and nightmares, fears and frights or even just the deep dark of my mind, but when they come into the light they always seem just that little less daunting... Nightmares have been plaguing me lately, now I'm going to learn how to face them... 

There was one a swamp that I inhabited within Second Life. For the longest time I was one of the Gators, causing chaos in my own little world and having lots of fun being sociable for every minute of it... Since those days are now WAY behind me, I feel much less pressure to be the sociable one, I feel freer and less contained and I really didn't want to be in that world anyway... 
Today though it is to that dark little swamp I return to meet a monster from my past, a demon of the dark and murky places. This one can often be found controlling the nightmares but also collecting the good dreams and locking them up inside the collection of dreamcatchers, to release them when I need the peace and tranquility of good sleep... Not often mind you, this is a monster we're talking about...

The Pixel Fae and Her Arcade Aura

A magical day off that I spent at home in my jammies doing a few odd chores and reading the rest of the time... When I was cleaning the music was loud, cheesy, pop with many, many cheesy karaoke moments, using whatever I had to hand... Just a note to those who do this too, TOILET BRUSHES ARE NOT EVER TO BE USED AS MICROPHONES... Anything else is fair game, and can make you feel like a magical star... 

There is a loud, rumbling music that can be heard across certain regions of Second Life today as the adorable band that is Arcade Aura - which coincidentally is the name of the collection from everfaery for the newly opened round of Cyber Fair that includes the Wings and Left stocking shown in my outfit - in their matching stage outfits are warming up... Lots of loud cheesy pop music, glittering lights with stars and sparkles, and a lead guitarist that would make things a lot easier to rehearse if she remembered to plug the guitar in LOL...

Free to a Good Owner

A day off, but I'm still kinda on tender hooks as I worry about will work things be ok while I'm not at work LOL... I'm nervous, but I have to get myself past this and let my mind relax properly... 
I've had to distract myself with something that some people might say is a little naughty... Some might even say that this is a LOT naughty... I always feel like I'm not good at blogging the naughty, but then again I tend to over think things when I should let them go... Maybe put myself into the hands of someone better suited to letting me feel stronger...

So yesterday I was thinking a lot about Wonderland, I cannot tell you really what sparked that thought pattern but last night to distract the hubby we watched Pirates of the Caribbean and tonight it's movie night again... I'm not that much of movie buff - Lord of the Rings excluded, I could talk about that all day - but there are times when the right movie can be a good thing... They set the mood, they like my blog can take me away to another place and they bring stories to life that many may never think of... 
Now I'm going to show my age here, I'm a child of the 80s and proud of it, but do you remember when 3D movies first became a thing?! It was an insane experience... 

The first time I saw a 3D movie it was a shock... I think the first time I saw a 3D movie was the Muppets 3d in Disneyland, and I can honestly say as much as the film was fun it set my motion sickness off something terrible and I was more than a little put off from seeing things in 3D again... 
It was crazy to me how a movie brought someone's imagination to life in moving pictures but also that those moving pictures could leave a screen and be right up in your face like they could touch you... It was a bizarre feeling, one that still makes me surprised to this day... Even though now days it's less abnormal andif you try and tell youngans about it they look at you iek you have two heads, with stories of different coloured glasses!!! 
Anyway it's movie time... HellBone plans to scare me a little with a few Ghostbusters...

A lot more Pride, a lot less Prejudice!

Love is love and that's all that matters, or at least it should be... With everything going on in the world right now, from wars that are on going or scarily close to starting, and wannabe kings holding parades that resemble celebrations held for monarchs of distant lands, and even closer to home with people striking for more money and causing masses of chaos for everyone else... It feels so much more important to celebrate love for those who have always faced stigmatism, because we should all be allowed to love, and it might make the world a better place... 

Pride in Amsterdam comes a little later in the year but right now other places are celebrating Pride... I'm always willing to celebrate love, and I KNOW that it's easier said than some people agree to but I want to send huge hugs to everyone... I guess these days I'd consider myself an Ally more than any other letter in the LGBTQ+ range, testing the water at university and my early 20s doesn't really count but I do firmly believe that love is love. It shouldn't be up to any one person to say who another can or cannot love - unless there is a lack of consent or confusion from an involved party and illegal things are happening of course... Like the sign says, I can't believe we're still protesting this shit... It's 2025, let people be who they want, let people live as they want... 
Pride at Home is happening, as are many other Pride events, right now and I want to take a moment to reach out. The world needs more Pride, less Prejudice, I mean isn't there enough crazy shit going on in the world that people also want to control who others love too?!

Dancing for Chicken

You might have gathered by now that I list reading as one of my hobbies but do you know what it is that I love to read most? I am a Smut reader mostly. I LOVE anything dark and twisted and kinky. There are genres within the genre, and some I LOVE more than others. I don't so much like the sports romances but I love the stalker types. I don't really have a preference though and will read ANYTHING... Though give me a masked man that's a bit stalkerish and possessive and I'm extremely happy...

The Ultimate Pain Paddle!

The Demons of Hell have been tormenting people for centuries, and there has always been a bit of a pleasure when it comes to the tormenting of these souls that find their way into the darker corners of Hell... 
Depending on where you end up, you can never know which of the demons wil make an appearance, but it is safe to say that they will enjoy whatever they do... Well most of the time anyway... 

The Threll - a head from CRYPTID - Demoness is one of those that likes to inflict pain, but loves to do it in a bit of a kinky way... She's working for the deadly sins, hidden in one of the corridors of their house to assist in their work.She likes heavy metal and lots of spikes on her clothes, but puts on a costume of a Nun's headdress for her play sessions... 
Once she's pinned you to the Orion Cross - a release from Violetility at FaMESHed X until May 10th - she gets out all manner of whips, chains, crops and paddles to help her entertain herself and the Sin Demons... Things get a little boring after doing this for so long, and they are always looking for new painful methods to play around with. It has been a recent discovery, people talk about stepping on Legos being a terrible pain all the time, but they are now part of the Ultimate Pain Paddle - from Krescendo - and are eager to test it's pain providing levels...

Sunshine To Defrost In!

Last night I broke free and today I had a wonderful day off... The sun was shining all day and I found myself wanting to curl up in a sunny spot and read a book... I wasn't able to do that, since I have been working so much I had to catch up on the housework... Any moment I had spare, I found myself resting in any sunny spot I came across, I was taking my time to defrost...

I am NOT a Summer girl, I HATE it when it's too hot but the Spring sunshine always feels like it's revitalising. It makes you warm but doesn't feel like it hurts, it gives you energy and happiness and is the perfect dose of vitamin D. Spring is also the time of the flowers, and there are so many wonderful colours and smells and happy moments that go aong with them... 
It's the perfect time to drop my jacket and let the sun warm my skin... A perfect time to defrost...

Twenty Thousand Leagues

What happens on a day like today when my mind is allowed to wander but I can't seem to find myself creating another weird and wonderful fae creation... I got a major case of being stuck today... I was in a rut, couldn't think what I wanted to do and for the life of me things were going no where... I WAS CONFUSED... Then I had a momentary brain fart, remembered that I'm in the blogger team for the epic, somewhat steampunkish themed Engine Room and TADAAAAAA my mind went into overdrive... 
Dreams of travelling with and working alongside some of the most interesting fantasy names in literary history, I didn't think it would ever happen... I loved studying his achievements, but when I was offered a trip Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, to the office of one Captain Nemo... I jumped at the chance... 

It's a brilliant sci-fi novel by the great Jules Verne, and is a great adventure that takes place on board the Nautilus Submarine of Captain Nemo. They discover all kinds of crazy things and even though it's a bit science fiction for my normal tastes, it's a story that should never be missed. 
So now that I'm able to check around Nemo's Study - which happens to be a backdrop from LORE for the Engine Room - there is so much to see... He's using a Mind's Analizer to read his rat's mind, he's got some weird Neoflora - from Blue Blood - mechanical flower things growing in an old Mermaid Tank - from Dirty Rat - and everything seems to be electrified... 
I'd had to make sure I fit into his weird little steampunk world... Luckily, I'd had the chance to shop at the Engine Room before I made my way under the sea...

Looking for a Pot of Gold!

Today is the day for the Luck of the Irish... A day when people go crazy for all things green, drink a lot more Guinness than they might normally ever do and even try a little Irish jig or two. People start hunting Leprechauns and looking for pots of gold at the end of rainbows, and maybe if you're lucky having a nice bowl of a hearty stew... Like many holidays though, St.Patrick's day has its roots in religion and it's true beginnings commemorate the arrival of Christianity in Ireland... 
I am not the religious type, but I've always loved the magic of the world so I'd be much more likely to go on the hunt for Leprechauns and their gold... 

When I was a teenager, my parents took me to Ireland and we travelled around the Ring of Kerry. It was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, enchanting, I even joined in the magic and kissed the Blarney Stone but it felt so easy to imagine the fae folk and the leprechauns hiding in the flowery meadows... If you saw a rainbow, you coudn't help risking a peek around for a pot of gold...
