Monarch Butterfly Dance

I've worked for the last 4 days in a row so that today the hubby and I could be at home to work on a few things that need to be done in the house before the windows are changed next week... I am feeling beyond tired, my body has aches in places that I didn't know could ache and my mind is mostly wondering when it can go back to sleep... I'm proud of what we got done today... 
I Needed to let my mind wander today, I needed to do something a little different from the every day normal in Real Life, I needed a slice of fantasy... 

I NEEDED some fun, I found something gorgeous I HAD to find a way to let my hair down so that I can relax after a long day of hard work. I couldn't let myself avoid the chance I discovered today... 
I went to one of my favourite places for exploring, the gorgeous Kaleidoscope Monarch Education Project location and I made sure that I dressed the part... A gorgeous little Monarch Butterfly Fae to dance amongst her new found friends...

Neon Planting at the Salvage Station!

I had the day off again today, and I won't for a few days in a row now so I've been busy doing a little blogging prep and I'm excited about what has been happening in the blogging world of Rudh today... It's been nice to just turn offmy brain and do something creative, considering the week I have coming LOL...

Is it all just a game?

I've been thinking about something since I had a conversation with a RL colleague about how Tim and I met in Second Life. She was curious and I explained to her about the Second Life world, what it's capable of and all of those wonderful things that can happen because of it... She was raving about the Sims, comparing the two and suggesting that she would be interested in coming to see what SL was like... She said she was looking for a new game, and I offered to help her out, but part of me was twitching about it being game... What are your thoughts?

I have thought long and hard about this topic for the past 20 ish years of being in Second Life. When I think of games I do think of things like board games or video games, I think of PC games like the Sims and world building games, but then do I still consider Second Life in the same way? 
For some it looks like a game... Creating a character, creating a world and living a life that is different from the real one, it's an escape and a chance to be someone you want to be... But is it a game, or is it more of a chat simulation programme? I've worked in Second Life in a Real Life job, I met my husband in Second Life and we've been married for 12 years now, and I met some people that I will keep with me always too... Does that make it a game or is it something different? Is it because I've been here so long now that I feel this way, is it still a game to the new inhabitants or is it really a place that's something different? 
What do you think?? I've been pondering this a lot today whilst going about my boring chores, I just want to know if I'm the only one that feels this way...

Be Proud and Love who you are!

It's June, and aside from the fact that Hair Fair is running to raise money for Wigs for Kids, it's Pride Month and therefore we have a lot more things to both celebrate and bring awareness to... Every year Pride is celebrated all over in Second Life, as well as in RL, and although it should be something we celebrate all day, every day, I dont see any harm in raising any extra awareness as often as we can... 

Pride is such an important thing. It's unfortunate that even these days, people face hatred and discrimination for the way they want to be and the people that they love, and seriously that is something that needs to stop. I admit that these days I am straight, happy and consider myself a straight ally, but I really believe that people should be allowed to love whoevery they want, and they should be allowed to live however they choose... So long as no one gets hurt, the world would be a much better place for it... 
Once again Pride@Home has opened its city streets and blasted the Second Life world with rainbow colours and patterns to match those of the LGBTQ+ community. There are sales events and music events, parties, contests, photography showcases and so much more, and they aren't the only ones running Pride events this month. 
It feels very much that the world needs a little more love right now... Love is Love, no matter what. Maybe if there was a little more love in the world, then it wold be a better place...

A Rest before the Salvage Station!

June 1st today, and there are lots of things going on in our little corner of the world that Second Life looks like a really fun and wonderful place to be... Pride at Home and the fun events surrounding Pride started today, leading in the events for the month... One of those events is totally different from the rainbows and sparkles of Pride, is the opening of Salvage Station... 
It's Electrifying... 

The Atomotel - a building kit from LORE for Second Life Syndicate's Salvage Station, opening today until June 30th - is like a neon mirage in the middle of the Grand Canyon desert... This perfect, little neon hotel is run by a little miss Frankie, who will welcome you to her hotel as you make your trip to the Salvage Station, so long as there is no funny business and she doesn't have to introduce you to her Stun Nail Bat - from Arts&Gear, also at Salvage Station - which will be more of a shock when she hits you with it than any normal bat...

Sunflowers in Summer!

How is it possible that it's already the last day of May, where the heck did the last 5 months go. Everything seems to be going at light speed this year and I'm scared to blink in case I miss it... 
June is looking like it should be a good month. I get to go see my family, so I'll be going to see my grandma and can support my mum through a session of chemo. Speaking of Mum, we're taking her to see Take That - if she's feeling up to it - and that will be a fab, fun time at the Circus... AND we are one step closer to being able to move back home... I CANNOT WAIT, but until then how 'bout we get the start of the Summer started... 

There are so many fun things to look forward to, besides the previously mentioned family visit, and chance to see my childhood first loves. I'm ONE step closer to being home and therefore away from this camping situation that I live in right now... 
There are lots of fun things to come around in Second Life at the moment... One of the most important that needs to be shared at the moment, aside from the fact that Sunflower fairies are out in full force to share the sunny love, is the fact that one of Second Life's most important and long standing events has finally opened for it's 20th anniversary edition.
 I remember when Hair Fair first started and it was full of so many weird and wonderful new hair styles, fledgling designers that we know and love today and the chance to raise some big bucks for a charity that is beyond deserving. Wigs for Kids has raised millions to help provide children with wigs when they have lost their hair due to sickness or other issues, and we in Second Life have been great at supporting their mission every year, for the past 20 years - lead by the wonderful Sasy Scarborough - to raise money to aid in that support... So on that note, I'm going to let the Sunflower Fairy fluff up her new Shy Wig - from monso in the Foils Region of Hair Fair, with a 30% donation to the cause - as she got great hair and the kids that benefit have just a teeny amount of extra help!

Roses on the Royal Grave

As always with me you can NEVER tell me which type of mood I'll be in when I start to plan out something for a blog post of the day. I love the fact that I can just open my wardrobe, see what is new to play with and then just see where an item that I picked out will take me... 
Today was a dark and sad and depressed kinda mood today and the result was something partially medieval princess, partially gothic funeral... 

After the death of the king, his undead princess bride was only able to briefly attend his burial before the people of the town started arriving to pay their respects with the rising of the sun... 
She's still bleeding through her pearls from the last bite he ever took, and she hides her face and hair under the trappings of a Solemn Bride - from Static - but just before the sun rises she takes one last rose and casts it into the open grave as the Gravediggers - which is actually the name of the backdrop from FOXCITY - start to bury him in the eternal darkness... 
On a side note, aside from the story I was creating in my head as I set out this blog post, I HAVE to make a little point of sharing this gorgeous Nightshade tube style dress with you... It's part of an outfit from Psycho Barbie, that is available at the main store, with a fluffy off the shoulder cardigan/jacket also being available!!! He was my Skater Boy!

I am so HOT today, it's been close to feeling like the sun has moved into the Netherlands and decided to roast a tone of things in the oven with the door open.... I really want to go back to when it was cooler... WHO THE HECK decided that it would be a good idea to have a VERY hot day in the Spring?! I mean this is AUGUST temperatures, what are they doing in May?? I cannot wait till the sun goes down... 

This evening, when the sun goes down, I'm going to find a place where I can cool down and then make sure that the boys know how hot it could get when we're hanging out at the Skatepark - from Synnergy.Tavis - just me and my Skater Boy... Allergies Be Gone!

Allergies are one of the weirdest ailments that we seem to suffer from... It's always made me wonder about the amazingness of humans when some people are allergic to somethings and others are not. I know that we're all different but then you add something like that to the mix it's just another amazing thing, in a world full of amazing... There are so many things people are allergic too, and that can change any time. I'm just glad some of the worst ones aren't things I suffer with... 

I have a colleague that had a lactose intolerance and because she worked in the cheese shop and tasted small amounts every day she seemed to cure herself, whilst a friend of mine at university ate pasta and noodles for every meal and ended up with a gluten intolerance lol... It's amazing how these things can be affected by the way we live our lives... 
I don't think I have an allergy to anything, but I am MAJORLY against the heat... It's been boiling here for the past few days and while I LOVE the early morning sun and the cooler evenings, the height of the heat in the middle of the day can just bite me... 
SO aside from the rambling I want to say to those that do suffer I'm sorry... A Little Dane-ish Basketball!

Well it's a HOT day today... How can it legally be allowed to go from 12degrees centigrade to 27degrees centigrade in less than a week... We're experiencing Summer temperatures in MAY and last week it was freaking cold here... WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? 
Since work was so crap today I NEED to find a way to let off a little steam tonight... I've decided to do something wild and crazy, I'm taking my puppies out for a little fun?!

Mermaid of the Desert Oasis

I've had a day off today and therefore I've had a chance to let my mind wander off everywhere that's not the normal day-to-day humdrum, but as usually on a day off I let my mind wander and went to somewhere weird and fantastical... It was VERY much needed, and I made a brand new friend in a fairytale character... She's a mermaid, but lives in a world that could be connected to the Genie's magical cave in Agrabar...
We're going on another magical Arabian Night...

Tail Waggers in the Dog Park

One of the most beautiful things about Second Life is that you can be whoever or whatever you want to be... You can be as creative as your mind will let you and it frees us of any real life limitations. SOMETIMES that works in bad ways, as we have seen recently with all the drama surrounding one of the head honchos at Linden Labs and they happiness at his recent departure. More often than not though, it gives people the creative space - and so long as they aren't hurting anyone - I feel that this can be an amazing opportunity to be, do, and try new things that you'd NEVER have the chance to explore in reality... 
There have been so many interesting advancements in all my years in world... From prim to sculpties to mesh and beyond, animations improved, HUDs revolutionised everything and now there are creative people out there running experiences... There's something for everyone... 

Today I decided to take a trip to the park with the Spring Courtyard - from Synnergy.Tavis - and the Eupawria Dog Park - with items from the Krescendo collection available at Kinky until May 22nd - which is a collection of the cutest puppy things and the perfect place to play... 
This visit ties in with what I was talking about earlier though... Second Life is full of new innovations and every day we see brilliant creators coming up with things to make their entertainment space better... I am going to preface this with saying that I am not a girl with this particular kink, nor am I a Furry - although I have plenty of friends and family that are in both Second Life and Real Life too - but I do LOVE to play dress up and will always be a barbie doll with a big costume box...
An old friend of HellBone's has come out with something that can, will and should be a great new tool for people that have a love of pet play. At the moment there are systems for Puppy and Pony play, all running under the brand of Tail Waggers; a one woman show with a system similar to that of the plant pets and zooby babies that grow... The system will mean that a Puppy or Pony with the HUD needs feeding, exercise, attention and even medical care, and this in turn will create an interactive connection between pet and handler... 
Now as I said this isn't really my bag, but there are so many people out there that may be interested and I feel that this system has been so well thought out that I think people need to know about it... More information can be found in world... Are there any Puppy's or Pony's out there that would enjoy something like this?!

A Day in the Wild West!

It's been a few days since I was last around since I've been stuck at work and I'll be honest, when I have been home I've been lost in a book a long way from thinking about my computer... 
Today when I finally sat behind the screen, I was totally unsure as to what I wanted to do. I don't know how I felt but it was hard to know where my brain was going... That's one of the things that I love about blogging, the therapy seems to come naturally... Once I put something on, it all just magically started coming together... 

Some how when I slipped into the Dianne Dress - from AsteroidBox, available until June 10th at Kustom9 - and played with the colours, the blue-ish coloured seemed almost denim, and therefore my brain ended up with a bit of a Calamity Jane moment...

Dommes and Kinky Bears!

Distracting myself from the cloud I'm living under and for me that means READING, Reading, Reading... I am always looking for new books and authors, although I'll admit that I'm usually reading smut where the darker and kinkier the better... Of course, that's affecting my mind when it comes to what am I going to blog each day... Today, I was lead by Monster Porn... LOL...

Sad, Trapped and Lost

I'm feeling very low today, I don't know why I mean aside from the random things that I usually complain about lately... I'm worried about people I care about are sick, I've got the stress of the house and the fact that HellBone is getting stressed and pissed and overdoing things, and I'm very very very tired... Today, nothing is making me feel happy, and I need to find a way to get my head above water...

I feel like I'm sitting alone in the dark and I am just going through the motions to keep my brain working and not breaking... I'm trying to keep my joyful attitude joyful by bouncing around on one of the Gummy Chairs - a release from Junk Food - that has been abandoned in my mind since my teens. 
I'm feeling shite, I'm sorry that I've been ranting here and there and I'm just wishing I could go home and spend some time with my Mum... I wish I could be there to help her and I wish that I could get back to my own home...

Money Can Be Spirited Away

So you may know that HellBone and I are currently living somewhere that's not home while our house is being rennovated... If you haven't I don't blame you for ignoring my ranting over the past few weeks LOL, but it's one of the bigger stresses of my life right now, and I'm rambling about it A LOT... Anyway, luckily in this process we're being assisted with government subsidies, and it's not a brag it's a moment of "thank god" because everything is SO FECKING EXPENSIVE... We had to go buy a new toilet today... DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THOSE THINGS COST?! I know that there are costs of manufacture and for the sales company, but they are getting things cost price and it seems the consumer is getting bit in the butthole... Is it greed or is it necessity these days?!

I know talking about money can sometimes seem crass... I'd never ask anyone about their income or share mine with the world for that matter but they always say that money makes the world go round. They also say that it doesn't make you happy, but at the same time that's not enitrely true is it... If you don't have enough to live on or with then you're more likely to be a stressed and unhappy person... It seems though that these days everything is SUPER expensive, and yes I get it's because of all of the war taking place and the cost of living has naturally increased but life gets more expensive by the minute! 
Even the spirits that guard the world's most secretive vaults are concerned... There seems to be an explosion and a drainage of captial here, there and everywhere... Our little Spirit Guide - ears and a tail set from HAZEL by the way - is concened because her soul key - which is actually the Dungeon Keys from [NoRush] that sit in her chest - are no longer needed by the powers that be... They can just raise prices so the people that need her keys are left to suffer...

Time to Rehydrate

I had a day off and decided to spend the day with lots of music and dancing and it made getting my chores done much, much, much more interesting... I'm on a happy cloud nine where music is concerned at the moment... Next month I get to go back to the UK to see Take That - as well as my parents and sister - and yesterday I booked tickets for HellBone's Birthday to see Five Finger Death Punch on their anniversary tour in Europe next year... I know that they are total opposites musically but I LOVE both... I'm a happy girl now... 

So today, I've taken myself out for a little more dancing, the club "Night by Cyber" - a backdrop from Vile - I got dressed up in the most Divine Set - from Psycho Barbie - the comes with a gorgeous spiked corset, dress, garters and stockings. The metal spikes reflect the light and the shiny fabric will catch the eye... 
As much as dancing is fun, I might have to take a few minutes for some fresh air and a chance to sneakily rehydrate - from my Midnight Flask by Boutique #187 at the current round of Dubai - before I head back in to dance some more... I'm not as young as I used to be, this is a lot harder than it looks...

A Day in the Sun

Where I am currently living at the moment is close to a very local marina, it sounds glamorous but it's pretty much the opposite it seems... I mean it looks pretty in the sunshine, but doesn't everywhere really?! What I really want is to be somewhere that's a little bit more interesting with some glamorous vibes and some a chance to get away from reality... 

Since it won't happen in RL, I've decided to take a day away from things in SL and take a trip down to the Santamaria Pier - an old but still cute backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - kick off my shoes and don my sunhat to keep the sun from my eyes...

Feel the Force?!

It's Star Wars Day... Here in the Netherlands it's actually Dodenherdenking, to remember those that have falled in times of war as tomorrow is actually the rememberance day of the Netherlands being freed from Nazi control at the end of WW2... Hell is observing this, I am partially paying respects but I kinds feel a little guilt - even though the Brits were some of the Allied Forces that helped to free the Netherlands - for all of the destruction that was caused on route to the freedom, and so I choose to celebrate Star Wars Day with a little chaos from a galaxy far, far away... 

I doubt there would be any spoilers here, but now that Darth Sideous is gone and there are lots of people on either side have spread out across the galaxy, there has to be a way to decide which side will top trumps... 
I think I'm definitely veering more towards the thrills of the Dark Side, I mean I read enough Smut full of dark boys and their darker pleasures... The good boys were really never my thing...

Fairy Defence in the Darkness!

Sometimes I have a craving when it comes to blogging to do things that are NOT normal and let myslf get lost in a fairytale, be that a good or a dark one... Being lost in a fairytale really helps me with my mental state and right now being lost feels like a great idea. There is just too much going on in my own little world, as well as in the real world, and without complaining here too much I feel like I'm losing the battle pretty fast... So step back from the norm Rudh and find a way to embrace the darkness... My darkness feels like a HUGE monster, lets make him more friendly and things will calm down once more?! I hope... 

In the garden of the Spinners, my monster floats through the light that breaks through the trees and the darkness... He's a cloaked Hornswoggle - made by Tardfish, available at the Fantasy Faire Aventurine Promenade to raise money for Race for Life - and though he lurks in the dark, when he comes into the light he's a lot less scary and more like a Ringwraith from the Lord of the Rings... 
He's always trying to scare the fae folk that wander through the gardens.. Rudh as a sassy little fae isn't one to mess with. I guess that's why I decided to take on my monster as a fae today... She's a little thorny, but she sparkles in the dark so that the monsters are intimidated. She's armed with her Willowvine Wand - from Simply Shelby at the Fantasy Faire Stoneveil Crossing Sim - and the magic within will keep her monster at bay...

Peaceful Fluttering

Today is the last day of April and that means we're already a quater through the year, the Spring has almost totally sprung and Summer is on the way, PLUS HellBone and I are almost half way through the rennovations to the house and SOON we can go back home... I cannot wait... I'm counting down the days, not wishing the year away or anything but I want to be home SO MUCH... It's kinda hard to believe that I was excited about this little "adventure"... I'm trying to hold my shit together currently and wishing for ways to not crack... 

I need to disappear into a place of peace and quiet, never to return but always to be here for my family especially at the moment since Mum is sick and Dad needs the support to look after her.. HellBone needs to be looked after since he's over-stressed due to the rebuilding... 
All I want now is someone to look after me... I wish there was someone to help me feel better... Someone help me find peace...

It's a special day in Holland today because today is King Willem-Alexander's birthday and so the party that the whole country seems to be in waiting for has been happening ALL DAY today... Celebrating the King, partying and selling off your old junk at the free markets that are taking places in many cities across the country...

Bad Girls have the Uncensored Tapes!

Everyone has their hobbies, and the fact that we all have so many different hobbies is wonderful because it shows how unique we can all be... Some love sports, some love music, others love crafting things be that cooking or knitting or pottery or making something wonderful with your hands...
I love to be creative and use my blog to do that, I also love to junk journal and knit, I love music of all different kinds and you should know by now that I read and read and read... Mostly Smut but I read...

Some other people love movies, HellBone is a movie lover, but with so much choice, how hard is it to choose a movie these days... I know that HellBone is a horror movie lover, I would spend forever getting lost in Middle Earth and on a bad day The Princess Diaries helps me feel better, but there are other types of movies out there... Some days you just need the kind that make you shiver with a different type of Anticipation...

Cubs and Cuties

It's Friday Night and when I was younger that was an excuse to be able to head out for a party... I used to do it fairly often at Uni, but now the thought of that and all the havoc that goes with it is just way too much to handle... I'm definitely not ready for that kinda chaos... I wanna be at home in my jammies with my book, a cuppa tea and my cat... Rudh on the other hand always has different ideas, and in the early evening sunshine tonight she met up with ther fairy friends for a trip to get food and check out the cute local boys... 

I dunno if you've heard of it, but there is an amazing little Fairytale Cafe called the Lucky Clover Cafe - a backdrop from FOXCITY that is one of two similar designs both in regular and fairytale from Collabor88 - where you can get some of the most delicious grub... I fully recommend the Popcorn Cubs - from Junk Food - that look like cute little bears and taste just like the best chicken nuggets you've ever had... 
I was so keen on the delicious dinner that I was able to ignore my two little fairy friends checking out the cute Little Pan boys on the other side of the restaurant...

Magic of the Fantasy Faire

Today is an important day today in Second Life, since today is the day that Race for Life opens it's Fantasy Fair and therefore the fantasy beings will be able to gather some amazingly wonderful things, experience just a little more magic and raise some funds that will head towards cancer research... 
Cancer Research is something very important but at the moment I am finding it more so than ever because of my mother being sick with Pancreatic Cancer... I would do anything to find a way for her to feel better right now... I would hope that any glimmer of magic could help... 

We are trying to find happiness in every little thing that we're doing, and we aren't planning things too far ahead so that she can just take things easy and let things happen as they happen... 
I'm searching for as much magic as I can in Second Life to help me get through this, so I can support her...
