Neon Planting at the Salvage Station!

I had the day off again today, and I won't for a few days in a row now so I've been busy doing a little blogging prep and I'm excited about what has been happening in the blogging world of Rudh today... It's been nice to just turn offmy brain and do something creative, considering the week I have coming LOL...

Distracting myself from the cloud I'm living under and for me that means READING, Reading, Reading... I am always looking for new books and authors, although I'll admit that I'm usually reading smut where the darker and kinkier the better... Of course, that's affecting my mind when it comes to what am I going to blog each day... Today, I was lead by Monster Porn... LOL... 

I'm thinking today about a book I read when the bear came to life and let the FMC get stuffed just like he was, only I think she was much better stuffed if I get to be honest... Though in my crazy messed up little fantasy, there's lots of friends with her in the dark room...

Fairy Defence in the Darkness!

Sometimes I have a craving when it comes to blogging to do things that are NOT normal and let myslf get lost in a fairytale, be that a good or a dark one... Being lost in a fairytale really helps me with my mental state and right now being lost feels like a great idea. There is just too much going on in my own little world, as well as in the real world, and without complaining here too much I feel like I'm losing the battle pretty fast... So step back from the norm Rudh and find a way to embrace the darkness... My darkness feels like a HUGE monster, lets make him more friendly and things will calm down once more?! I hope... 

In the garden of the Spinners, my monster floats through the light that breaks through the trees and the darkness... He's a cloaked Hornswoggle - made by Tardfish, available at the Fantasy Faire Aventurine Promenade to raise money for Race for Life - and though he lurks in the dark, when he comes into the light he's a lot less scary and more like a Ringwraith from the Lord of the Rings... 
He's always trying to scare the fae folk that wander through the gardens.. Rudh as a sassy little fae isn't one to mess with. I guess that's why I decided to take on my monster as a fae today... She's a little thorny, but she sparkles in the dark so that the monsters are intimidated. She's armed with her Willowvine Wand - from Simply Shelby at the Fantasy Faire Stoneveil Crossing Sim - and the magic within will keep her monster at bay...

The Cavalier Captain

I want a little more fantasy in my mind, I am bored little mind right now as everything seems to be crazy busy and then same old, same old... I'm going to have to find myself an adventure, maybe there is an adventure to be had before the Engine Room closes it's doors and takes away it's wonderful characters until next time... 

I've heard it said that the Engine Room will be closing it's doors on April 20th, so that doesn't give us long anymore to enjoy the adventures that it has brought with it's opening... 
Today we're onboard the boat of the Piratas Salvajes - which is a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - as it sails on the stormy seas. Jason Bearhees on Friday the 13th

It's Friday the 13th, the second one this year so far, and once again my hubby has decided that tonight he's going to scare the pants off me and make me watch another Jason Voorhees movie special. It's worse watching it here, I'm not in my normal home in the middle of a housing estate...Right now I'm in the middle of nowhere lol... 
I had to do something a little cuter to make this evening a little less scary... 

Luckily, one of the makers of the cutest things in Second Life has stepped in to help with that, and created a super special Friday the 13th group gift... Jason Bearhees - the current group gift from Tardfish - is a cute, cuddly, dancing version of our favourite slasher man... Yes he is armed with a rather large knife but his skills at slashing and slaying are much more suited to his killer dance moves... 
Rather than stalking people in the woods and making them jump, he's the kind of cutie killer that will lurk around the roots - a collection from Static, available at The Warehouse until March 18th - of the giant trees outside his Creepy Cabin - a backdrop from Bad Unicorn - and wait to dance until the sun rises...

A Tear and A Ted

I have had a day that has been a little mixed emotion-wise. Today was the funeral of an old family friend in the UK, he was someone I grew up with a little like an extra uncle and his wife was someone that I was very close to. She has been a rock for my mum whilst mum is undergoing her chemo treatments and I cannot be at home to help her. So it's been a day of thinking of the lady he left behind, the memories I have of him in the background of my childhood and my mother, who knew him well and is trying to keep her friend supported in this difficult time.. It's times like this when I HATE being so far away from the family. It's times like this when I feel like I'm not doing enough, and not being a good, supportive daughter... I'm trying not to cry as I say this but I miss my parents more than anything at the moment... 

I think I'm just feeling highly emotional... I turn 40 next Thursday and I won't be seeing my family. It's UK mother's day on Sunday and I won't be seeing my mother, and I guess I'm a little jealous that she's going to be seeing my sister instead but it's easier to go to her between chemo treatments than come all the way to Amsterdam. I'm living in a place that I don't like, that has no privacy and feels like I am CONSTANTLY at work. There are other things too but I am going to get through this and things will be better by the end of the year, I live in hope... 
I needed someone to love me, I needed to feel cozy and comfortable and cuddled... Teddy Bears and cuddly toys have always been my friend in this. I have lots and will keep collecting them and I cuddle them all, despite the fact that I am nearly 40. It is always a nice feeling to have something soft and sweet and friendly to cuddle, right?! For now, until I get a chance to see the family, facetime on the phone and cuddling teddies is the best that it's going to get...

Death Loses His Angel

It's the start of March, and therefore the high season for me starts as it's the start of my Birthday month and the start of the end of my 30s... On March 19th, I turn 40... I cannot wait to celebrate this amazing new chapter in my life, but I'm kinda wishing this year would be done already... Now things are getting a bit worrying as Anna - my darling little kitty - is wobbling on her feet and I'm a bit scared for her too... So I'm starting my month with the amazing death of my 30s... 

Death has been having a field day but today, the death of his beautiful angel of death... The girl of the shoulder that she sits on is about to enter her 40s causing her a massive amount of shock lol... He's broken, he is shedding a tear and on his knees to worship the loss of his gorgeous angel... The Runes of the Bound Blade - from Tardfish - circle around her, warning off anyone from coming near his precious angel.

Sandwiches for Dinner

It's the first of February and I have no idea about where this month will take me... I'm moving to temporary housing in a few weeks because we're having some massive rennovations done to our home. It's causing my anxiety to spike and therefore more stress is in the house than normal. I'm worried about everything and I'll be honest I don't really want to do much of anything, it's a difficult cycle to be in... For right now I'll stick to the easy decisions I need to make... Like what do I want for dinner?!

I would say that's one of the easiest questions but one of the hardest to answer, and there have been SO MANY TIMES I tend to debate with myself for hours... I NEVER know what I want and when there is something that I do want and I don't have it, or I don't want anything that I do have. 
One of my favourite things that has become dinner will always be a Sandwich, I could eat sammiches ALL day long, preferably with a side of chips and maybe a little vinegary... Today, the sammich of choice is a Reuben - thanks to Lucas Lameth - and although I've never had one I hear that they are pretty good, full of pastrami, melted cheese and apparently sauerkraut. Tonight, as it's a special occasion because I feel like it, I'm going to have a lovely bag of Puppy's Tasty Snacks Potato Chips - from MishMish for the Saturday Sale this weekend - and a delicious Snap'N'Dill pickle - from Tardfish - where each of the packages comes with a surprise inside...

Decorations Don't Go Quietly!

It's that most yucky of days after the Christmas festivities in my house today... I'm not sure if it's today or tomorrow that it's traditional to take down Christmas decorations but in our house, we took the decor down today. I was not looking forward to it, but it has been done, everything is ready to be stashed away again and things look dark and empty... 

It makes me laugh how we use the same things over and over and over again, I'm not one of those people that wants a pristine or chic looking Christmas tree, I LOVE it when things are colourful and mismatched and traditions that remain the same every year... I know, especially in times like this, I want things to be cozy and comforting... I dislike this darkness that has decended in my living room today... It's only going to get emptier as we prepare the house for our moving date... 
While stuffing things in to the old chests in the Attic, I made a little discovery... One of the Gingerbread men that had appeared in many of my posts over the festive period was REALLY not ready to return to his Spring/Summer/Autumn sleep, he got angry and tried to Choke Me Out - he's a festive release from Tardfish that I HOPE will still be available in the mainstore but let me know if I'm wrong please! - and well since he wanted to stay awake I'll just have to take his place for a long nap in a cosy old trunk...

The Wraiths of a Christmas Spirit

Why did I think that things might get better soon?? I think I jinxed myself and now not only am I having a terrible visit from Mother Nature, I'm also full of cold AGAIN!!! I feel like I am a total grinch right now, maybe Grinch isn't even strong enough... Maybe I'm reaching full on Scrooge level... Bah Humbug... 

I've been feeling so grumpy and there is NOTHING I can do to cheer myself up... Even the book Advent Calendar that my hubby made for me as a main Christmas present this year makes me smile but I soon get grumpy again because of everything else that's going on... 
Maybe I'll slip into the world of a Christmas Carol... Maybe I'll let the darkness in me draw the spirits of Christmasses gone by from the old Gothmas Christmas Tree in the hall - which happens to be a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis for the SL Shop & Hop - and there is maybe some hope that they can save me... These spirits are not the ghosts from the Muppet version, although the last of the three in that film was a bit daunting when I saw it as I was a kid... Enchanting Little Mushrooms

Today has been crap but tomorrow is my day off so I'll be able to take things a little easier for a change. I'm going to spend the day relaxing doing not a lot and reading a lot more... I don't want to think about anything, I just want to turn my brain off and not have to deal with people or things... A fantasy world is the place I need to be...

Crazy Days in the Paraphile Ward

Life is crazy right now and I feel like I'm living in a crazy house... I'm stuck in Holland while my mother is in hospital in the UK having some checks done because she's sick and it's driving me crazy... As if life wasn't crazy enough at the moment. I REALLY feel like I need a break from everything... Someone come and get me please... 

All I seem to do right now is hide away from the world when I'm not at work, all I want to do is sit around a read and hide from anything that looks like responsibilities... 
I mean the Smut that I tend to tead would get me into trouble with Jesus - like the poster states "Is that Smut?" in the neon frame from Venture - and so Rudh's been tied into the darkness to get some time away from everyone... Dressed for her own protection and forced to wear her Shock Treatment Crown - from NORUSH - but it's her imagination she truly has to worry about... My penchant for being a bit of a Paraphile, someone with an erotic interest in things that are inanimate objects among other things, and therefore being sent to the Paraphile ward - signs by Krescendo - definitely meant that she met my match in the Freaky Hands - from Tardfish - which must have come from the devil... I think I might like it here...

For Halloween, there are a few things that I ALWAYS find myself looking forward to playing around at dress-up for... Clowns, Monsters and all things dark and depraved... Things that make people shudder, one of the most reoccuring, every year for me, tends to be the Arachnids... I am a Spidy Lady...

I admit I'm not spider fan, I don't like the creepy crawlie feeling as it makes me feel kinda skeevy and shuddery and gross... I will admit that I LOVE Spiders eating the annoying flies that bug me in my home...

Halloween Moon Rising

That's it... September has almost ended, someone get the kettle on as it's time to wake Green Day and I'm sure they will want a cuppa like I do when I wake up... This can only mean ONE thing though, HALLOWEEN IS COMING... The Witching Month starts tomorrow and this is NOT a drill people, it's time to get a little spooky! YAY for Spooky time!!!!

I'm super tired after a long day at work today and I cannot wait until it's time for bed... I'm home now though and tomorrow I'll be having a lazy at home day... For some reason my mind started getting all excited thinking about the original, and therefore best, version of the My Little Ponies, which in turn led to my brain getting Rudh all rainbowed up and sparkling for a trip to a My Little Pony-esque world...

Oops! I Think I'm in BIG TROUBLE!

Ever have those days when you feel like your brain stops working?! I don't mean in the medical sense either, I'm talking like you cannot remember why you bent down to tie your shoe laces when you are in fact wearing slip-ons, or when you walk into a room and instantly forget what you came in for, or when you're mentally confused because today should be Sunday when it is in fact Friday... That kind of brain fart... I am getting those a lot lately, and someone told me I might be Peri-Menopausal, but I wish this brain fog would clear... 

It's as I was getting overly excited about my new outfit that I'd found at the Midnight Order, a Starla set - from Web Dew - decorated with Suns, Moons and Stars, things that have always made me feel special, and was making me feel remarkly happy that I wondered if I had been forgetting something... I mean I'd decked myself out with some gorgeous accessories, and even remembered to tuck my familiar little burdy into my Burdy Hat - which is a release from Tardfish for The Vault - but it wasn't until I was dancing through the Enchanted Book Hall - which is an older but still gorgeous release from everfaery - that I spotted something with a note attached... OH CRAP... In the bird cage, the Forgotten Birdcage - from CABALPIER - if you will, I think I'm in BIG TROUBLE...

Hiding away to make plans...

Today is the start of my holiday and even though Thursdays are my usual day off, I don't actually feel like I'm on vacation yet. There is so much cleaning and sorting and organizing to do, not to mention makin sure I give my cat tonnes and tonnes of attention before I disappear... Plus the hubby is a bit OCD when it comes to planning so we have lists upon lists and other things to do that he knows and I haven't yet been informed of... It's getting like an secret military mission... I just wanna go home... 

Since it's like a military planning situation right now I'm working out how to hack the system... 
I've been looking at the screens, checking the charts and hiding in the Bunker - which happens to be a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - using only the Vertex Lamps and my Gaming Peripherals - both of which are from Krescendo, although the former is Mancave and the latter available for the MadPea PLAYXPO - and if that doesn't work I have NOT ONE but TWO secret weapons... Firstly my buddy Squiddy - from Tardfish - is an expert gamer and he can get his mind around anything, and secondly, if all else fails I have a set of earrings that will help me. They are made so you can Ctrl Yourself - a pair of earrings from Six Feet Under, which even though they aren't overly large in the picture above, I have added the store ad below for more clarity - with little keyboards that can take control over everything...

A Fat Cat's Love of Lasagne

I'm a food loving kind girl and I'm not afraid to admit it. I've thought about a gastric band in the past, but then I realise that food becomes a limited thing, and I'm put off... I'd rather stay fluffy lol... I am the kinda girl with more rolls than the local supermarket, and I'm nt shy about it... Who cares what anyone else thinks of me right?
I love all kinds of food, and depending on my mood on any given day I can and will eat all sorts of things... Pasta has always been a favourite though, in fact I kinda connect with a certain cartoon cat when it comes to a pasta dish... 

For those of you that have no idea about the cartoon cat, I'm thinking of Garfield... 
I LOVE Sushi, Pizza, Fried Chicken and Burgers. I LOVE Salads, although I'm not really a fan of dressing and prefer it with croutons rather than sauce. A juicy steak, something with lots of veggies, and don't even get me started on how good potatoes are in all of their forms LOL... 
Yet today I had a craving, similar to that of the big, fat, orange cat, I woke up craving lasagna and my hubby being the brilliant lasange chef he is, he made just what I needed... My inner fat cat was over joyed!!!

A Different Kind Of Magic!

Once again I've had a long day of chaos with my daily job and the fact that Holland has no trains running meaning the busses were full and people were having issues... I'm home from work now and needing a little magic to make things feel better...

Magic can be found in many places, and caused by many things... There are many things that people would consider magic and if you asked a collection of people, they may all surprise you by saying things that are different... 
One thing that seems like magic at the moment is that Hair Fair 2025 is now happening, and runs until June 15th... This charity event has changed a lot over the years but the magical part is that every year thousands of dollars are raised to assist in the creation of Wigs for Kids that are very much in need... The smiles on their faces is a little magic the world could use right now... 
The little fae was super excited in the gardens today as her and her Hair Brownie - which is a creation from Tardfish, available at the Hair Fair - were playing in the flowers and she found herself a new wand of the magic kind... It won't do much to tame her wild "Svetik Hair" - from monso, also at the Hair Fair - but the cutie Curling Iron is definitely magic!!!

Games When Pigs Fly...

 I've never been the kind of girl that was into Sports... I mean when I was at school I LOVED to ride around on a skateboard, and when the season was right I played a bit of Rugby, but other sports nuh-uh, and as I've gotten older it's only gotten less and less interesting for me... I don't watch it on TV, I don't like books with sports and I'm definitely not participating... As I always say, I don't even run for the Ice Cream man, why would I do it for fun... Sometimes though, I do wonder... 

I know people get SO excited about certain sporting events every year, there are some that seem more pointless to me than others I mean don't get me started about watching the Formula 1 lol, but I get bored at the thought of many of these things... Tennis being one of the worst. Golf would be boring, but least then it's a walk outside, Tennis is just a big NOPE... 
Though it is kinda cute looking, the outfits can be adorable - and as soon as I saw this outfit from AsteroidBox, the Gabbi Top & Skirt, available now at Equal10 - maybe it would be a good time for me to book a lesson on a Private Court - a backdrop by FOXCITY - but on second thoughts something like that will ONLY happen When Pigs Fly - a release from Tardfish at The Warehouse Event - LOL...
