Feel the Force?!

It's Star Wars Day... Here in the Netherlands it's actually Dodenherdenking, to remember those that have falled in times of war as tomorrow is actually the rememberance day of the Netherlands being freed from Nazi control at the end of WW2... Hell is observing this, I am partially paying respects but I kinds feel a little guilt - even though the Brits were some of the Allied Forces that helped to free the Netherlands - for all of the destruction that was caused on route to the freedom, and so I choose to celebrate Star Wars Day with a little chaos from a galaxy far, far away... 

I doubt there would be any spoilers here, but now that Darth Sideous is gone and there are lots of people on either side have spread out across the galaxy, there has to be a way to decide which side will top trumps... 
I think I'm definitely veering more towards the thrills of the Dark Side, I mean I read enough Smut full of dark boys and their darker pleasures... The good boys were really never my thing...

Payback Can Hurt!

I'm in a bad mood, I'm wanting to kick some ass of some random people and that's all because recently some random woman decided to respond to the basic question "Can I help you?" with opinions of how I could do with losing weight and that because she'd done it maybe it would help me too... I didn't know this woman, I was asking a customer that came into the store if I could help her with anything and, frankly, she was lucky I was being polite because I was at work...
Really in my mind, I wanted to show her how her rude words affected me... I was pissed...

Beasts Released!

Oh my gosh it's the end of January... Where did January go? Normally the month seems to go on forever and yet this year it was a blink and you miss it situation... 
Now though the Valentine's feelings are able to come in and cause epic amounts of chaos for a couple of weeks... The little naked flying babies have been released and they are on their way to earth BUT there may be a slight problem... A little error occurred in the release process... 

When the release button was pushed, it somehow unlocked other containment units at Cryptid HQ, and things that should have stayed locked away until the scary season have been released... Monsters that may cause Valentine's to become Anti-Valentines, and at this time it is unsure how many of these things were let loose... 
Now, never fear everyone, we have warned the illusive Secret Society that is the Midnight Order, and they will be working tirelessly to both assist our recapture efforts and provide distraction with their wonderful shopping experience... 
Now we just gotta play like they are Pokemon and catch 'em all...Just a shame we don't know how many got loose? This could cause chaos... Valentine's could either be cute or deadly... I guess we have to watch this space right?!

Bang Bang!

I wonder sometimes when I watch movies, especially the action kind, would I prefer to be on the side of the hero or the villain. When I was a little girl - and I'll not hide that it is still true now I'm a big girl too - I was always on the side of the hero, especially in the case of the Disney films that I chose. For example, I LOVE the Little Mermaid, and when I was a kid I wanted to be Ariel, now that I'm an old lady I feel more aligned with Ursula... So perhaps when I grew up I was destined to feel more like I'm hiding a villain deep inside, although plenty of people will tell you I'm a good girl... 

So I don't know about you but when I start working on a blog post I NEVER know where I'm going to bewhen I finish it. Ideas never seem to come easy and when they do form it's like magic... I'm not as creative as some people, and I'm not as able to creative such high quantities of blog posts as I'd like but to think that what I do makes others smile as much as they do me...
Today's post randomly came to me when I was thinking about things to do with Villains... I pulled on a look and for some reason I ended up with a weird Gotham style feeling... Maybe I'll make a Batman adversary, maybe I'll be able to be in league with the Joker...

Tempestuous Tides for Mermonsters and Tentacled Beings

My mind is in turmoil, I am tired and distracted and keep doing things that cause myself harm... Nothing is super bad but I cut myself whilst making dinner tonight and I cried about it far too much... 
As is usual in times like this, when my brain is breaking I find myself disappearing into a prettier and happier part of my mind, somewhere a little more fantastical... The seas may be Tempestuous, but the rough seas should be the worst of my problems... 

The tempestuous nature of the seas are only exciting the tentacled beasts below the depths... They make Tentacle Hearts - like those from Krescendo - at the lovely merfolk that swim alongside them... 
This little mermonster knows that she's well protected by the tentacles from the deep, and her Alien Astral - which is actually the name of the head and skin from BeSpoke - aura will assist them in their hunt for pirates, and the protect her from the very pirates that want to steal her tears...

Calm in the Battleground Camp

I've been on cloud nine today, HellBone decided to cave in and bought himself and I new computers. It was something we needed to purchase so that we could keep up with the Second Life changes...It's like logging in on a machine that took me into another universe altogether... 
The warzone in my mind between the amount of money that it cost, became a losing battle to the way that the upgrade DEFINITELY seemed so needed... 

The ghosts and zombies of my old PC set-up stil linger in the back of my mind as I spend my time learning how to use the super fast monster machine that I have now... I'm just dealing with making it pretty, letting the hubby install all the right things and hoping that it will last me a LONG time now... I'm learning to use my new friend in the midst of the battle of my old one being sent to PC part heaven... I mean it's not hard, I'm mostly sitting back, to let the aftermath go on around me...

The Bots are DEAD

If you're watching a movie, what kind of movie are you partial to? I know that we all tend to have our favourites... I LOVE the LOTR, my go-to movies include things like the Sound of Music and the Princess Diaries, and I'm still a Disney fan. I recently saw the latest Insides Out 2 movie, and I have never connected with a Disney Character so much as when I saw Anxiety on the screen... My Hubby is partial to Star Wars and anything horror, but he will also choose a superhero action movie... 

I'm not a fan really... I mean I LOVED Aquaman but that's because it's Jason Momoa soaking wet. I really enjoyed the series of LOKI that was made, but then again that's possibl because it was the way Tom Hiddleston would flick his hair at random lol... I've seen many of the superhero movies, but they don't get me excited and I tend not to bother anymore... 
For some reason though, when I put on things and this outfit started coming to life it grew to become a Superhero that destroyed the evil bots decimating Primus City - a backdrop by The Bearded Guy... She hung around a few moments after the big fight scene while the Tiny Tech Bots - from Aardvark - came in to inspect the damage...

Collecting Eggs

Happy Zombie Jesus Day... Happy Chocolate Bunny Day... Happy Chocolate for Breakfast Day... Technically it's Easter but since so many people celebrate it in so many different ways, and since it seems even less religious these days than Christmas, I wanted to cover all of the bases... 

I've always been a bit excited by the fact that it's considered acceptable to eat chocolate for breakfast. Though I often wondered why bunnies were involved... I love the fact that chocolate bunnies are a real thing now. Where do chocolate bunnies come from? The chocolatiers would prefer to take the credit for them, but the fairies know otherwise... Magic the Monsters Away!

Things are so wonky in my mind right now... I, like many brits right now am in a state of shock, mourning and perhaps a little feeling of being lonely and lost after the loss of our constant, our backbone, our Queen. May Queen Elizabeth II rest in peace, back in the company of her beloved Prince Phillip. 
I needed to do something more than a little distracting, I needed to find a place to rest my mind, and let me tell you it's no easy thing when your head is full of fluff... 
I needed to take some magic into my own hands, I needed to defeat some of the monsters in my head... The Monsters are big and scary, they need to be vanquished with the magic that I can only find inside myself... 

Lurking in the darkness of the Phaetons Passageway - a backdrop from Normandy - and whilst I was creeping along the halls, a huge monster appeared from behind a Weird Science Tank - an older release from Violetility - to scare the crap out of me... The magic inside me bubbled up, and I HAD to blow him away! 
I managed to get that mean looking monster, all the while looking absolutely fabulous in the most gorgeous Exie Neon Dress and it's matching sleeves - from Psycho Barbie - which looked adorable with the new Lunchmeat DEFENSE Garters - available now at The Grid. Just a little note for these Garters, I actually tried them with the Maze Soft Kits for Maitreya. It made the straps look like they were cutting in just enough to be realistic, but also meant that I could hide one inside my leg by wearing only the separate thigh options...

Saving Lola...

For some reason I found myself thinking about Star Wars today. I know it's nothing special for a Star Wars day, but you can watch it any day right and HellBone would put it on any time in our house... He's been addicted to the movies, the series and all the stuff in between, we have vintage toys from the 1970s, we have new plushie toys and we have all kinds of random decor... You might say that HellBone is a bit of a fan - in the same way I am about LOTR or Supernatural - and I guess the collection in SL is just an extension of that... 

Some how my day dreams today took me into a Star Wars Empire base, I was sent on a mission by Princess Leia to rescue someone very special from her past. Now we all know that she had been busy running a rebel alliance, yet she never stopped thinking about her pretty, and spunky little friend LAL0 the droid - that was brought into SL by the awesomeness that is the BONDI store. 
The rescue mission went a LITTLE badly though, Rudh had grabbed the wrong LAL0 droid, mistaking the colour patterns and disturbing the armed guards. The resulting hail of bullets sending sparks around the ship... I hope Lola and I make it out of here alive!!!

What will the Future think?

The Celebrations for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee were bright and fun and perfect to show thanks to Queen Elizabeth II during the concert at the palace last night. I'm not a royalist, but she's given her life to supporting the country, and has been through so much as a guide for our nation... Now one of the reasons I'm talking about it, is because I was inspired with a section that they shared on the environment, it got me thinking about what we'd be leaving for the future... 
My mind was racin... A story came to life...   

As a lover of all things Mermaid, my mind went straight to "what would a mermaid from the future think of the seas we're creating?" You hear so often of the garbage that is being dumped into the oceans every year - I know that it's not just oceans being polluted but in this case that's what I'm thinking about more...

Bullets and Beer for Bartering!

I find myself sitting around at the moment, wondering what the future will be like... Will there finally be peace? Will the world have another Ice Age? Who knows if people will even be human, or will we have been altered to allow cybernetics become a thing? My mind went adrift, I became a little robotic, and I made sure that I had plenty of things to trade if the economy crumbles... 

I have a feeling that the bartering goods of the future will be bullets - since let's face it there will never be peace so that we can live without them - and beer... I stocked up, and made sure I had plenty of both so that I can pay for any cybernetic upgrades I might need in the future...

Caught in the Food Fight

Sometimes at dinnertime things get a little chaotic with deciding what we want to eat... It's always so difficult to decide on what to eat. I get frustrated and I know that I'm not the only one... It becomes a lot of a fight sometimes... All I want to do is throw something foodish at him to break the tension... 
Right now it sends my mind into overdrive, it took me to a place in space where Rudh had to fight her way to find food... 

In the space station, Rudh started to head down the corridor toward the Dinner Hall she realised that shewas not alone, and there would definitely not be enough to share!! Time to bring out her favouritest of weapons, the Food Fight Gun - from Hangry - shooting all the dark competition to get through the rush... Have to apologise here, I didn't mean to pelt you with a burger, you just got caught in the firing line...

Misbehaving for the Krampus

Yesterday I let out the living dead doll in me and she in turn has decided to let out the little bit of kinky I keep hidden away... Not just for anyone I will have you bear in mind... The Living Dead Doll in me is appealing to the Darkness of Christmas, there will be no Santa needed here for it is Krampus that they want to come down the chimney today... She's waiting to be punished for misbehaving... Krampus punishes those who misbehave, and well she's been misbehaving on purpose all year hoping for this special treat... 

Just a little time to do some final misbehaving before the Krampus is due to arrive... She's on her knees and has pulled down her Bodysuit to check out one of her new Christmas toys - an Ama Snowflake Paddle that leaves perfect little snowflake marks on her skin. 
Wait a minute... How did this gift get opened?! Checking the pile of presents under the tree, she noticed three little Krampus Elves ripping open and terrorizing the gifts... BUT THAT MEANS IF THE ELVES ARE HERE, KRAMPUS IS COMING?! Is it too late to run free?!

The Eclipse is the time to get his Heart

Deep in the dark of the crypt at the Cemetery, Rudh is dealing with the remains of her zombie ex-boyfriend... She has missed his touch, missed his voice, and missed the closeness that came with him... Unfortunately now, the only way she gets to see her man is by heading to the Cemetery and desecrating his grave and pulling his remains free one by one... Today she's taken his heart! 

The blood gets everywhere, especially when you're trying to take his heart... There's only a few days a year that you can do it.. The nights of the Eclipse are the best days for taking your beloved's heart!
The Wicca's Originals "Emily" is the dress of choice with some spiked killer heels, and accessorising with some bandages from HUMAN GLITCH... 
It's the only way to get the heart of her former love... I miss him, and don't want to wait till another Eclipse until he can be reanimated again!

Maybe I Should Clean Better?

So while working on a little magic to carve my pumpkin yesterday, I think I must have left the cauldron cooking just a little too long... There may have even been a little love potion magic in the bottom as it was cooking... 
I say this because I had a moment of "OOPS!" while cleaning the cabin today... So as I was sweeping the floors, talking to my little kitties, I felt a strange presence behind me... I think my cauldron is trying to tell me something... 

The unstable Cauldron - one of the many things available and on show from Trick or Treat Lane by the way - decided to show me a little love, I knew that there was a little love potion in the bottom of that cauldron! He wanted to give me a big kiss, and I guess I learnt that I need to clean things a little better.

Tricks or Treats at the Movies

A couple of days ago, one of my favourite events to blog opened and I'm very excited about it as it means that Halloween is getting closer... I LOVE this event because it reminds me of one of those things I've always wanted to do. It was never really a thing in the UK while I was a child, but I've always wanted to be able to Trick or Treat in the way it's done in the States... That's why Trick or Treat Lane always seemed like such a fun event for me... 
Still failing that, since I cant Trick or Treat in Holland either, I'm going to just resign the fact that I won't be doing it again this year, and watch some cool movies instead... 

In a local old movie theater, they are playing some of the Horror Greats, and I think I may start with a little Friday the 13th... Before the movie starts I do have a little TOTL inspired look of the day - with some other fun stuff thrown in for fun! 
Yes it's a barely there outfit, thanks to a bodysuit from OOPS - which you can still grab now at Necrosis - but it was purely because I wanted to show of these fab socks and Luna Mary Janes from 1313 Mockingbird Lane! The colours and patterns make for some really funky Halloween shoes for those of you that only live Halloween in October... I'll be using these ALL YEAR!!! 
I found someone else that really liked them too... While I was getting up to go grab I nice bottle of Bubble Magic Potion, a HILTED Zombie grabbed for my shoes, and while I was running away his hand got attached to my leg!!! BEWARE ADORABLE SHOES AROUND ZOMBIES!!!

Last Eclipse in a Junk Yard

It's the last day of the Eclipse now for a couple of months, so the dark and disturbed are creeping back into their evil little hiding places. October Never Dies though, so the event will be back again soon - bringing with it the true month of October and HALLOWEEN!! - yet there's just a little time left for Rudh to ponder over the darkness to come and the fun she's going to have... 

Hiding out in the junk yard, she feels like she's at home especially since this is pretty much what her inventory looks like at the moment - piles of junk everywhere!!! 
For my last ECLIPSE post this round, I've parked myself to stop and think in front of these amazing Wasteland Barrier Walls - from DRD - a collection that is readily available at ECLIPSE until the end of today, August 31st! 
Looking at this though, I am very much reminded that my inventory is a junk yard LOL, maybe soon I will take the time to clean it!!!

How about a Swim with the Fishies?

Today, Sunday June 30th, is the last day for Eclipse! I know, I know... Sad Face! It's also the closing of a chapter for the Eclipse Event as with the end of this round they are making some changes to the way it works... What those changes will be, we have to wait and see but it all sounds so very exciting - as well as a little sad! It's been an honour and great fun to work for this dark little event, that's proved 'October Never Dies'... 
Now for one last post, I'm going to dip my toe into the water and wait to see what comes next for this dark, macabre little event. It's hot, and I think a swim would be lovely! The little dead doll in me is crying out to swim with the nice fishies! 

This post-apocalyptic beach is the perfect place for a dead doll to spend her hot summer days, sitting on an old jetty that sticks out into the sea. Using an Acid Rain Lookout Post - from DRD - to shelter from the sun's heat she watches the fishies devouring some of their last meal. 
I think though it must be something to do with her blood that drew in the sharks today, I mean she's got cuts all over, and the Savette Cami - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - that she threw on over her bikini is looking a little threadbare! 
Although you can't really see it in the main photo too, this living dead doll like to take a few risks... She's wearing her own mini anchor around her neck - the anchor comes from Ama, and would normally be perfect decoration but Rudh replaced the pretty decoration for a huge weight to help her sink!!! Since it's not so clear in the main photo then, oh yes, I've been a good girl and have added a close up!!!

November 11th: Remembering Them...

It's November 11th... Today for the British it's a Remembrance Day. A day of peace, respect and thought in which people all over the country stop for a moment or two and think back on all of the people that have lost their lives to protect our little island nation. 
Remembered on November 11th at 11.11AM, the exact time that WWI was declared over in 1918, I always take a moment or two to stop and to think and although I'm not religious, offer a silent thank you to those people. Other places in the world do this on different days - the Dutch for example have remembrance day on May 4th to mark the close of WWII - but right now, I sit back and wonder what those men and women who have lost their lives fighting for Britain throughout history would make of Ol'Blighty now... 

Traditionally in the UK, Remembrance Day is marked with Poppies, as they were the blood red flowers which bloom over the battle fields in France, and I did just buy some lovely poppies in SL which would have been perfect to memorialise things, but then I found this pose prop from Come Soon - called Lady Autumn - and the white roses just seemed like poignant hints at peace... The world could do with a little more peace nowadays, don't you think?! 
As always with Come Soon Poses, the pose comes with a full scene and just the option to use the pose alone - here I was a little naughty and used the chair and roses along with the pose - but by having the tank and the sandbags - available from H&C Wheels by the way - I brought the memorial to life a little!
Let's make today, and all the days following, a day of peace! I know that it's a lot to ask but isn't it about the time world was allowed that?
