Halloween Magic Starts in September

I've been on a bit of a magical kick lately, and I'm actually really enjoying things... The magical side of things always make me smile, especially when things are able to get pretty, and since it's ALMOST Halloween I have to warn you now that the dark magic will slowly be taking over, step by step, day by day... 
I'm going to let there be a little bit of Witchy Magic today, September is Halloween Eve anyway right?!

Elegantly Lazy

I've been on holiday for almost two weeks now, and I'm still feeling totally tired. Maybe that's because, at least for this week, I've been lounging around at home not doing much of anything. Don't they say that idolness makes the sloth feeling worse?!
Still you know what, I've got two more days off, and then I'm on a 5 day stretch so I'm going to enjoy being a lazy butt while I can... 

I look like a terrible mess whilst I'm lazing around, pyjamas on, cuppa tea in hand and a book under my nose, but Rudh... She's a very different story, she never likes to do things in a way that aren't worth looking at. Even when she's being lazy, she's doing it in style... 
Today's relaxation outfit is on the luxury, decadent and almost sexy kind of style... Soft white lace and the most gorgeous string of pearls that form the Psyche Rose Necklace - which was created by Insomnia Angel and is available until Midnight Order - with a rose that perfectly matches those of her Pink Rose Sleeve tattoos - from Adora-tions. 
Whereas I'm found with my nose in a book being lazy, Rudh likes to pose elegantly and smoke a cigarette in her pretty little Roses Cigarette Holer - from Boutique #187 at the new event 13th Street that runs until August 26th... Isn't she the perfect Diva?!

Challenges of being a Shopaholic!

I am on a roll at the moment with pulling together outfits for everyday, and more than likely not blog, that I would live in... I'm not the kind of person that will buy Fat Packs when I'm out shopping, normally it's one colour that I will pull into an outfit and then wear that outfit for a couple of weeks before I hide it away in my inventory and forget it's there... I'm terrible like that... 
When I put myself into an outfit that I fall in love with, I stop myself from feeling a strong need to pose and show it off... I guess today though, that I'm going to be doing something as a Look-of-the-Day... 

I needed to find somewhere chic, somewhere up-market because this pretty outfit was both of those things... Chic, up-market, and more than a little glamourous with a HUGE hint Rudhish flair... 
I had found both these amazing SAIKO Scuzz pants and boots combo, which are both smart, sexy and have some amazing elements that suit so many different styles, AND this gorgeous Nocturne Blouse, from NOIR, which is vintage chic and very cute. Normally, I'd never have put these two things together, but while I was just trying them on it seemed like a lightning bulb moment... I fell in love with this combo, and once all of the accessories were added like this amazingly, adorable clutch purse - from Aardvark at Dubai until March 15th - 'Let's be clear' thiis is definitely one of my favourite looks this year! 
Now to take this outfit out and show it off... I'm heading out to Rodeo Drive - a backdrop from VERSOV - to become a little 'shopaholic in style'...

Cookies, Milk and My Jammies!

It's been a long day, it's been a long few days, and since the next few days are my days off I plan on relaxing and spending most of them in my pyjamas... Starting from the minute that I walk in the front door, my daytime clohes come off and the jammies come on, bra shucked off and forgotten in the bottom of the laundry basket... It's time for a good book, some delicious snacks and relaxation...

Tonight I'm Going Out!!

I'm posting reeaaaallllllyyyyy early for me today, since tonight, for the first time since I had my scary operation at Christmas, I will be going out for some real fun. Tonight it's all about the live music, and I cannot wait to let my hair down as I go to party at the Five Finger Death Punch concert!! I'm super excited, but also extremely nervous too... I haven't been out like this since before Corona struck... 

Before I get nervous and chicken out, I should get ready. My stomach is in knots, even though I REALLY want to go... 
I wish it was easier, like it is in SL... Rudh will always be ready to go, wandering down the stairs primped and preened and perfect looking. Fresh Spun Cotton Candy

 SPIDERS!!! Some people love them and others REALLY do not, but like them or hate them they are synonymous with Halloween - having Halloween scares without spiders is like having Nuggets without sauce. I don't love them myself, and the bigger they are the more they they freak me out, but I'm not totally anti them! 
So whilst on my daily rounds at the maze today, I dropped in to spend some time with one of HellBone's beloved little pets... 

His adorable little spider pet is waiting in the corridors of the maze, and she loves to make new friends. I will warn you now, she's a little friendly, but she makes the best Cotton Candy - all fluffy and soft from UNICORN STORE - and her children love it as much as I do, crawling all over me wanting a little taste for themselves... 
When Rudh is checking in on her Spiderlicious friend, she will often dress herself so that the littles don't get too scared... Cobwebs make up her gorgeous Arachne Dress - from Oubliette at Trick or Treat Lane - her make-up is drawn on to look spider like - by Slack Girl - and even her eyes adjust in the dark to show the spiders within - thanks to the A.D.D.Andel Spider Eyes. To make these things a little clearer though, I wanted to add a collage of the eyes and make-up, both are gorgeous and so worth checking out in a bigger scale than how they show in my photo...

The Concoction of Potion

It's Sunday, and that means one thing... The week is about to start and I am REALLY not ready for it. I don't really want to have to be a grown up anymore, I'd like to go back to the carefree days, when I could just hide out in my bedroom as a teenager... 
Rudh has decided to do just that... Find a dark cosy corner where she can sit with a coffee, and maybe something yum, and cast one or two little spells!

As she sat in the cosy comfortable loft space she was surrounded by a collection of her pretty Witchy Witchcraft things - a set that I was super lucky to win from LEMME at the new round of Equal10. The Tarot Cards, a Crystal Ball and some trinkets to help me prep these adorable little bottles of potion for those in need. Armed with a Donut and a Cinnamon Dulce Coldbrew Coffee - from Reign - and a smoke to get her started, she sits still, calm... That is until the little Moonlight Foxes discovered her hiding place and all hell broke loose! Still, if I can get them calm down a little, I have the "Forgotten Skull" - a Happy Weekend release from FIKA by the way - that I need to for a 'forget your ex' potion... All I need is time to make it up...

No More Wizarding School

Wizarding Faire... It was one of those do I want to or do I not kinda moments... I've said it before and I'll say it again, I AM NOT A HARRY POTTER FAN! I did take a sneaky peek and found a few things that are wizardy but not Harry Potter, and then I thought of my RL little sister and well, she's potter mad, so this one is for her... 

This was taken after my years at Hogwarts were over... I tried to shy away from the Hogwarts house colours and ended up with purple... I went a little crazy in decorating my attic room - a skybox from PITAYA - with some very gorgeous and Oracle designed furnishings - available from Oubliette at the new round of Gacha Garden until August 31st - and then I stuffed the room full of some perfect Wizarding goodies, including potions from Disorderly, some precarious plants from random.Matter and some other Wizard Life goodies to remind me of my days at Hogwarts - from Wednesday, and Raindale. 

This wizard style may never have happened if a fairy godmother hadn't slipped the oubliette collection into my hands... Move over Harry Potter there's a new Wizard that's fresh outta school!

When the Magic Happens...

At certain times we all need a little magic in our lives. Something to pep us up when we're feeling down, or to help us feel a little more confident... I've never gotten so far as to dabble too much into magic, but it's something that's always been something that impressed me... From the silly magic tricks of old school magicians at kids parties, to something more meaningful like tarot readings and the power of crystals I've always been intrigued, I've lived a life filled with reading fairytales, and I love nothing more than that feeling of magic swirling around... 

At the Magic Shop in the Ministry of Darkness, I decided that it was time to harness my inner magic. It's the perfect time to unleash it, the world is full of a Midsummer Enchantment. She's trying to unfreeze Devlin's Iced Heart - a Boutique 187 item - and the magic slowly started to swirl around the room... 

It's the magic of the Midsummer's Enchantment that's aiding a normally non-magical being like myself to do some amazing things... Of course, looking the part is also important, and I think this dress is one of my new favourites! This dress is a new release from Oubliette, for the current Midsummer Enchantment round, and it comes in a huge collection of colours... It was such a difficult choice to choose the one I wore today. With the addition of jewellery from bubble, and a head chain from Zombie Suicide, I think it was partly the outfit that let the magic take control... When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good... MAGIC!

Books on Tape

I LOVEEEEEE Reading... I've always been an avid reader, and over the past few days I've not been wanting to log into SL due to an overly busy few days at work and a feeling of depression... The biggest thing causing this is that I miss my RL family, so I've been avoiding anything that involves social interaction. Hence why I've been reading a lot... All kinda of books, in all different genres... I was wondering though, what do people think about books on tape?!

When I was younger, I enjoyed them. I would fall asleep listening all kinds of stories that would allow me to drift off into all kinds of different magical, fantastical lands... As I got older though, I stopped listening to these tapes and started reading more for myself. I still love disappearing to those magical, fantastical lands, but I've started finding it better to read it and create the voices in my own head and bring the characters to life... 

What do others think? Do you enjoy them? Is there anyone that you'd recommend reading stories?

If you go down to the woods today, you'd better make sure it's the Witchwood... There's lots of awesome things to see and tickets for a festival... In each of the tickets you'll find, goodies stashed from outta the mind, of the awesome designer behind Petite Mort and Oubliette!

A Night for Dancing

I've heard people say that my pics have been fairly pretty and rather light and girly as of late, and while that's not a bad thing, I had a living dead doll that needed a bit of out in the air time. 
I took myself off, dressed myself up so and let the dark little me out for some fun... Heading out in search of a deviant little party to wile away the hours... 

At the NO SALVATION Gothic Cathedral they have a beautiful location that's perfect to spend time with a loved one, dancing or even, if you're so inclined, to indulge in a little kinkiness! 
She dressed up all pretty for her first night on the town, and it felt great to be so darkly pretty and most of it's due to this gorgeous dress from Oubliette. It's a Cleo Lace Dress in a midnight colour, and it's available from Ostara's Altar. I added one or two pretty matching rosy accessories... Some amazing Rose Pentagram Earrings - from Neverwish - and a beautiful eye-patch, the Arachnes Garden, which is also an Oubliette item but is actually the Ostara's Altar hunt prize... 
Now all she needs is someone to dance with, and the party will be perfect...

When Practicing Magic Goes Awry...

While in isolation, Rudh has been taking the time to improve herself, learn a few new skills and dust off some of her old ones... There's no time for things like that normally, so when you get the chance you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth right?! 
Today it was time to make a little magic, I set myself up a new little cosy, safe space where I wouldn't be disturbed, and then I set to work... It's lucky I was on my own... It wasn't going well... 

I whipped the magic up, and got the room looking perfect, then an oopsie happened! 
The cards that I'd set out for a reading started levitating and swirling around the room, causing chaos before I could even start. It was a little DISORDERLY!

Bohemian Spring

A few days ago, the little living dead doll in me went Easter Egg Hunting over at the Witchwood sim... It was an adorably fun little hunt, with some very pretty spring time clothes and accessories from the stores that Witchwood calls home... Both Petite Mort and Oubliette can be found here, so you know you're going to be able to find some adorable bohemian and witchy attire!

I couldn't resist a couple of pieces from this adorable collection, I HAD to share them with you, there was no stopping me... The collection is made up of 10 items ranging from shorts and tops, to skirts and bikinis, with a couple of accessories thrown in for good measure. Each hunt item is priced between 10 - 20L, so it won't break the bank and you will have a new Spring wardrobe, but while you're there, don't forget that the stores are having a sale too!

Break His Stuff

The day after Valentines day... So many people are basking in the romance still, especially since the hearts and flowers day landed on a weekend! Yet there are some of us that just feel like we wanna break stuff... Nothing important, for me, his car will do... 

There are many reasons why breaking things the day after Valentines could seem like a good idea... Him not getting you the gift you want, him not giving you the sex you needed, or - as in my case - him just not being there the day you see so many people getting spoiled by their partners... There are lots of good reasons LOL... 
So - with the help of an awesome new pose from Image Essentials for Sinners & Saints - I beat the crap out of HellBone's car! The windshield was just the beginning... You should have seen it when I was finished! It was art I tell you!

Wandering through Witchwood

I love a good Lazy Sunday... The kind where you can laze around and do a few chores or read a book all day... It's what Sundays were made for and I love it whenever I get the chance to use those days somewhat unwisely... Spending the whole day reading and hiding under a warm cosy blanket! 
On the off chance though, you decide to crawl out of hiding to go do things where you may find people... I have a suggestion... The Witchwood Boho Bliss Hunt!!! Witchwood is the home of Petite Mort and Oubliette, and this hunt showcases the best of both of these brands... 

It was lovely to wander through the trees in this beautiful shopping location and explore the hidden corners while trying to find something pretty that I needed to add to my wardrobe. 
The prizes are great - especially if you like purple, no one faint that I am wearing purple here btw, it's all being done in the name of a great cause hehe... Pendulum Magic...

The start of the new year has begun and it's getting off to an interesting start! There's things happening that are out of my control and it has me on edge but looking forward to where things go! 
Having to check the magic to see if there anything that I should be prepared for, I don't want any shocks...

Enchantress in the Ruins

Its been a few days since I´ve sat behind a PC and spent some time to write something here... I´m away in the woods for New Years to avoid the craziness of fireworks that seem to dominate in the Netherlands. It´s been a very restful day, and I´ve sent a few hours just walking in nature in winter sun. It always feels a little like there is something magic out in the woods, an enchanting feeling - though that could also have something to do with the book I´ve been lost in whilst I´m inside. 
So as one of my final posts for the year, the hidden magic is coming out, my inner enchantress is calling us out to the ruins in the woods... 

There´s a magical ruin in the woods, that is calling everyone to it so that the magic of the new year can be brought to life... Out on Pendle Hill, the magic is calling... 
Rudh has dressed for the part and magically gorgeous is precisely the look that she´s managed to achieve. 
The dress just seemed so perfect, it´s a new release - although the release has been out for a while now at the Winter´s Hollow event - from Oubliette. The Asherah Gown has been released in a selection of colours, all with that gorgeous patternation, which makes the perfect look for an enchantress in the ruins... 
She´s calling you to her, you better go find her...

Maybe I Should Clean Better?

So while working on a little magic to carve my pumpkin yesterday, I think I must have left the cauldron cooking just a little too long... There may have even been a little love potion magic in the bottom as it was cooking... 
I say this because I had a moment of "OOPS!" while cleaning the cabin today... So as I was sweeping the floors, talking to my little kitties, I felt a strange presence behind me... I think my cauldron is trying to tell me something... 

The unstable Cauldron - one of the many things available and on show from Trick or Treat Lane by the way - decided to show me a little love, I knew that there was a little love potion in the bottom of that cauldron! He wanted to give me a big kiss, and I guess I learnt that I need to clean things a little better.

Weary Witch's Home Comforts

I've been back to my work finally... I've only done 6 hours in the last two days but I feel shattered, and I actually hurt a little bit... BABY STEPS back to work Rudhiepops, Baby Steps!
It's not just in RL that I feel pretty tired though, even in SL I'm starting to feel kinda tired and the Halloween season is only just beginning... Maybe the tiredness is seeping through... 
The poor little Living Dead Doll in me is wondering how she can be tired when she's already dead, but maybe her magic just needs topping up... The little witch needs to focus and start brewing potions... 

Dressed in some adorably cure witchy wear from the Black Magic Woman Gacha collection by 1313 Mockingbird Lane - available at Salem until October 31st by the way - this little witch chose her rare set to try to help the magic work, once her headache subsides! Her home, usually the calming serenity she needs, is now the cause of chaos as her Feline Fright scours the room looking for his toy mice! 
Now, tucked away inside her sweet little cottage - which has been photographed numerous times by some amazing photographers like IgorAlmedia and Sookie Static - she's hiding inside and you can see all the fabulous furniture within... The soft comfy chairs, the snuggly warm bed, and the skeleton in her closet are all part of the Conjure Collection from Oubliette - available now at Gachaland! - and they are all perfectly inviting... Maybe a nap might help?! The little witch needs sleep to conjure up a little black magic!
