Feel the Force?!

It's Star Wars Day... Here in the Netherlands it's actually Dodenherdenking, to remember those that have falled in times of war as tomorrow is actually the rememberance day of the Netherlands being freed from Nazi control at the end of WW2... Hell is observing this, I am partially paying respects but I kinds feel a little guilt - even though the Brits were some of the Allied Forces that helped to free the Netherlands - for all of the destruction that was caused on route to the freedom, and so I choose to celebrate Star Wars Day with a little chaos from a galaxy far, far away... 

I doubt there would be any spoilers here, but now that Darth Sideous is gone and there are lots of people on either side have spread out across the galaxy, there has to be a way to decide which side will top trumps... 
I think I'm definitely veering more towards the thrills of the Dark Side, I mean I read enough Smut full of dark boys and their darker pleasures... The good boys were really never my thing...

Collecting the Snacks

Another day off and one again all I could seem to think about was food... I WAS STARVING but as per usual I didn't have anything in the house that I wanted to eat LOL. Is that just the case for me or does everyone suffer this fate? I've never been a dieter, always allowing myself the things I like to eat but do it in moderation, if I didn't and tried to stop myself the moment that I'd get my hands on what I was craving I'd go crazy and eat far too much of it, but I still get times like this when the one thing that I want to eat is the one thing that we don't have in the house... 
So what did I actually want to eat... I'm not even sure I knew that and could tell you lol... 

I had to thinkof things that would distract me... It's not easy when I'm living in this current situation, I know I'm lucky to have a place to live but I really wish I could be moving back home already, and I can't even do what I'd normally do and play loud music to pay attention to other things. I cannot risk causing any disruption to the customers in the shop below the flat, or my boss will be pissed... 
So headphones are a permanent fixture on my head now, and today it was all about the loud emo rock of my teens... As I'm heading towards being 40, I am very much regressing back into my childhood loves LOL... Loud rock music, Cold coffee and Burgers till I pop...

Rainbow Bats in the Rave Yard!!

I think that I MAY be one of the very few people in the world that has had nothing to do with K-Pop Demon Hunters... I mean I have seen it advertised everywhere, I know that it features some catchy K-Pop tunes but could not tell you if they were from the movie and aside from being able to look at a picture and say that I recognise the picture I see, I couldn't tell you anything about it... Am I the only one out there that hasn't seen it? 
So even though I know NOTHING, I'm going to admit I LOVE the look and wanted to play with the style on a night out for a little Halloween fun... 

I decided to get all dressed up and head into the Rave Yard, you follow the neon corridor dotted with neon tombstones and follow the instructions on the floor... As above, So below... The code of the rave yard club, where only members brandishing the logos, which Rudh wears as earrings - available from Six Feet Under at the still open FLF-O-Ween, and for a better look since her earrings are a little small in the main picture, I've added the advert below - are allowed to venture... The Music is loud and heavy... 
Everything is neon, but the best of the decorations has to be the cute little Scary Bats - from MishMish at Kustom9 until November 9th - in their rainbow neon colours...

Bubbles are Little Balls of Magic!

Honestly, sometimes the most random posts seem to be the ones that I LOVE best and maybe it's not a truth but they also seem to be the ones that are least popular with other people... Maybe I'm imagining it...

Gathering of the Rainbow Fae

I was off work today and thought to myself "I'm going to be a good little blogger and get lots of pictures ready for me to post every day this week"... A few hours later and I got preciesly ONE ready... I wasn't being lazy, I just let myself decide to create something that took a lot of work and far too much planning LOL... Wrapping Stations Are Go!

This time next week we will have passed Christmas and be heading into the new year... How scary is that to think that we are so close to 2025, and that Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye?! 
Today I had to get a few things done around the house, and there will be more cleaning to do tomorrow, but there was one thing that I simply HAD to get done before Wednesday... I needed to get my wrapping done, and this little Christmas elf needed a bit of help... I headed to the one place on Earth I knew they could get it done...

Stand Out in a Crowd

Tomorrow I'll be doing something a little different from normal... Rather than going to work in the city, I'll be meeting up with my mother and her friend who are stopping in on a fancy-schmancy cruise... I'm so looking forward to it. I just hope that I can find her in the crowd, I need a way to stand out in the crowd.. I've never been good at standing out in a crowd... 
At this time of year there are SO MANY fantastic costumes to be found in SL too, it's hard for the usually crazy costumed dresser like me to find a way to stand out... The other ghosties have turned to me for advice... 

It's laundry day in the ghostie glen... A day when the whiter than white sheet ghosts gather together to have a bath with some lovely laundry detergent. There have been discussions about how we're going to get more notice this year, and how we're going to stand out in the crowds of amazing Halloween gear... I had a wild idea, seeking out a LARGE cauldron that is full of the Firework Green Potion - which is actually an amazing Halloween Fireworks Cauldron, that is available from MadPea for the current round of Equal10 - and we were going to tie-dye our sheets!!!
I even managed to find a few accessories with a touch of neon, and some other Glitter Babe - a dress from Neverwish, which is TOTALLY gorgeous by the way - fabric to make a dress to wear under my sheet for added affect...

Glowing in Rainbow Colours

Dancing on my days off seems to be something that happens regularly... I love creating a look that makes me sparkle, I love being creative and finding something that connects both my dark and monstrous side, with something bright and rainbow and full of sparkles... 
The dark little demon in me cannot stop herself from being one of the first on the dancefloor... The club will always be the first place that she goes to sparkle... 

The dance floor in this club is lit by lots of neon lasers, and these amazingly fancy Bubble Wall - that is actually available this weekend from MadPea for Kustom9 Weekend, and can be coloured to fit your bubblicious needs - which sent sparkles all around the dancefloor and made me even happier to be dancing through the colours... 
Never one to be outdone on the colour front, our little demonness decided to take matters ino her own hands and dressed for a rave... Tying Glow Sticks into her horns - which are a release from Neverwish that is available until July 30th at Anthem - wearing a pattern on her shirt that was far from her usual choice since she's a bit anti anything aliens, and even dyed her hair a neon green to reflect the bright colours... It's on days like this when I feel the best....

Balance or Get Wet!

I dont really know what I'm doing today. Things have been slow, boring and I've had way too much time on my hands though for some reason I've not been able to focus and so my mind felt like I was walking on a balance beam... What the heck am I doing with myself? Why can't I enjoy a relaxing day off? 
I NEED to find something to distract myself...

I want colours, I want Summery - although I am definitely not an advocate for Summer - and I really don't know what more I want. I was putting things on, playing with colours, going through the things I'd gotten my hands on and suddenly I found the balancing I was doing on the beam shift to balancing on the cutest Skully Float - from Krescendo at Summerfest now...
I'm not good at balancing, the floatie kept moving under me... I am bound to slip off the floatie soon, and into the cool water of the pool...

Monstrous Psychedelia

I've often said the more twisted, dark and devious a picture I create is, the happier I am... I'm happy at the moment because I've had a chance to relax. I don't have anything to focus on and my boss even gave me a few days off... I am in a good place right now... So today, for the first time in a while, things are getting a little monstrous... Deviously, twistedly, yet colourly monstrous... 

I've said it before but I'm in rest and relax mode. I never fully feel I can relax until I'm back in England, or on vacation at least, but having a few days off after my exam has made me feel much better... Moonlight Glow of a Galaxy Demon

There are times when I get more than a little excited over an outfit that leads to a brilliantly, brightly, sparkly wondful new character who will take up residence in my brain until I'm able to bring her out and show her to the world... Today is one of those days when someone gets to shine... 
She's a spiritual demonic being, she sparkles in the moonlight as she holds the moon in the palms of her hand...

Her outfit is other worldly, a dress with a vintage retro spacegirl style - thanks to the gorgeous Dita Dress from PSYCHO.Byts - and since she's holding the moon in her hands the stars are drawn to her like moths to a flame... She glitters, her aura sparkles and the moonlight gives her a lumious aura. The light radiates from her mottled purple skin, and the stars as they shine tickle making her tail twitch - the body paint, the tail and the halo of purple moons are part of the set from Forest Fantasy Store called "Galaxy Demon"...

Hoops of Rainbow Colours

When life is dark and somewhat monotonous, it is at that moment we must try our hardest to find the sparkle and bring some light to our own boring day-to-day routine... There are so many ways that I LOVE to relax, unwind and recharge my rainbow sparkles. I am very much back into reading these days - smut and violence dark romances I admit, but it still gets me feeling good - I am crocheting a blanket of old scraps of wool and when I do get into Second Life, I'm currently on a creative wave - athough I'm not sure how long it will last...

It feels easier to let Rudh find our inner sparkle as there's always another personality lurking somewhere beneath the surface... Neon comes pouring out of her today and once it glows, she sparkles... Colours of the briliantly bright surroundings lighting up her skin. Sparkling Shit Happens

 It's cold and dark early these days... I'm exhausted and feeling like I'm just going through the motions... Things keep happening that are not totally wonderful and athough I get the odd spark of good news, all I want to do is slip into hibernation... 
I decided that now I'd be stepping out on a stage, dressed in neons, surrounded by neons and sparkling with a fake smile to act like I'm enjoying myself... BECAUSE well Shit Happens, so you just have to keep a smile on and try to get on with it...

Club Shit Happens, is definitely a place where anything can go on... I love dancing though, I don't care what it is or how I dance but when the music takes control it's easy to dance and let it distract me from the present bleh I'm in... 
Normally when things on my blog are dark and bleak, I'm at my happiest. I love being a fantasy pretty fae being, but tonight I'm hiding my feelings of being down in the dumps behind colours and sexiness... I'm going pole dancing...

These days I seem to spend a lot of time on my own in SL... I don't really seem to have that many people I want to be around anymore, and since the days of the Gators MC when the world seemed like one drama after another, I'm not sure I'm in a happy place all of the time. My besties and I find it hard to see each other and sometimes I wish I was brave enough to wander through SL and meet more people. I'm even too shy to fan girl at people that I enjoy the pictures of when I bump into them at shopping events... Life has gotten very quiet for me in SL... I think that may also be a reason why I'm finding it harder and harder to get into the Halloween spirit and play dress up this year.. All of my "costumes" are just Rudh outfits with a twist LOL... Today it's Monster High with a Rudh Twist as I'm hanging with my ghouls at School... 

Once the original monster High Divas have moved on from the school, the new class takes over and as with the Pink Ladies of Grease, the role of the cool kids is passed from one core group to the next... Rudh and her Ghouls have that status... Rudh is a random Monster, Penelope a daughter of a Pennywise clown, Pippa the child of the demons in the box and Cornelia whose father is a freak of the andy variety - all of the dolls are past releases from Garbaggio - rule the school... 
Rudh is a monster of indisclosed heritage, but no one in the school would dare refuse her place as the top girl... She dressed in a Spooky Dress - from NeverWish - and mis-matched Spooky Sleeves and Socks - which are available separately from Quills & Curiosities at Trick or Treat Lane until October 31st - and although she accessorised with some cute things, she'd be willing to admit that it would be hard to choose between the Wickedly Cute Chest Tattoo - from Adora-tions - or her hot pink Skelly Bear Pal - from NeverWish at FLF'O'WEEN until October 31st - is always her most difficult decision...

17 Years of Second Life

Today is a very special day... Today is my 17th Rez Day... Yes, that's right I logged into the crazy world of Second Life and I've been here ever since. I started because of friends, we joined together from another weird online game and 17 years later I'm the only one that still logs in... It's time to celebrate and find some delicious cake... 

Now I'm thinking about everything that I've been through in the past 17 years, all because I logged in and found myself getting lost in SL... 
I met so many fantastic people, some that have come and stayed, others that have gone - not always in the happiest of ways - but those that have stayed are some of the most important people in my life. I've never met them face to face, although there have been plans in the works, but I would do anything for these people. They know who they are, but I hope that they know just how much they mean to me...
I've had a job that I enjoyed that was RL work, and I've had many other SL based jobs too, and I've been involved in so many things that I never would have imagined I'd be part of... I ran an MC, I assisted in the creation of a very successful shopping blog, and I am part of a team that creates some amazing Halloween events every year. I've taught myself new skills and blossomed in my therapeutic passion of photography, and in doing so I've yet more amazing people... It's like the circle of Second Life... 
It's hard to believe that I've been in Second Life for 17 years, I logged in when I was 20 and it's changed my life... At the moment I'm currently living in the Netherlands, married to a man tha I me because of Second Life. Without this "game" as some people think of it, my life would be a whole lot different. I know that sometimes it's been tough, but there have been a lot of happy times too, and because of all of that, there's no way I'd change this rollercoaster ride... Wonder if I'll still be on it in 3 years when Rudh turns 20?!

Heathen of the Neon Skies

I am sorry that I seem to be a little absent at the moment. RL has become something of a crazy nightmare as of late considering that my boss is away, and the only other person besides myself with any authority at work is off sick. I'm not able to give my SL much time at all, and I really hope that I can manage to get through the requirements of my blogging schedule this month. I'm going to have to be really good and keep track of things well... 
That aside though, my brain is both extremely sleepy, and my mind is wandering to random places stuck in the deepest corners of my mind. where the colours are bright and there's mystery in the lights...

The Best Kind Of Advertising!

The first time that I get myself a day off, I find myself getting sick. It always happens that when you take a moment to slow down, your body seems to catch up with a bang. On the same day, my first to rest in a few days I got shark week and a terrible cold, without warning... I've been feeling shit since... 
Though I did find a little strength to get into SL and at least try to make myself feel glamourous. If I can't feel good about myself in RL, due to the fact I have a head full of snot and I'm feeding the sharks, at least Rudh can look good and make me feel better lol... 

I guess you could call it a look of the day, but it's definitely an outfit that I've been wearing for a while now and wanted to find a chance to share because frankly I'm obsessed with it... 
It all started with the release of a new set of Baby Tee's from the amazing collaboration between Neverwish and The Horror - which is available until June 18th at The Warehouse - that comes in 4 different style sets, each with 4 different colours and/or prints... I LOVE all of the different designs, but for some reason the "Professional Goth Girlfriend" spoke most to my former life before I married my hubby... 
All it needed was some amazing things to wear with it and although it could have been dressed up and glam, I guess because I've been feeling so run down that that it's casual, cool, for today, and now all I want to do is sit around and eat Candy - like this bag of candy from Sakura - while my protector watches over me from a safe distance...

A Sparkle in the Club

Saturday Night and some people are heading out for a night on the town... I wish that after a day like today that I could do exactly that. I used to love being a happy-go-lucky, party-animal, I'd be out on the town, I'd be surrounded by friends and I'd hit the center of the danc floor and would be there till the sun came up... 
My, my how things change... Now I'm old and work far too much for a living, I find myself wanting nothing more than a night curled up on the sofa, under a blanket with chocolate and a cup of tea... I'll just send Rudh out to do the partying for me... 

In Zorrita's Bar - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - the little demonness comes out when she hears the music... The club is lit tonight with pinks and blues, which definitely affected this little demon's fashion choices. She likes to sparkle in the club, she likes to be the center of attention and well, sometimes wearing pinks and blues brings out the fun in her... Dancing away between the exquisite George Vamp Lavalamps - from Beauty of Darkness at Ritual - she guards the sofas and tables while her friends hit the bar. She may look cute, but our little demon is more than a little fierce...

Radiant and Fluffy

I've loving a day off, it's like a bright spark in the busy moments that are glittering, radiant and colourful... It's what the weekends are made for... 

The Inception is a radiant, bright spot in my weekend and I love the fact that I can get colourful...

Even Demons Need Love

Valentines month is drawing to a close, it's funny how short February is because it feels like it was just the blink of an eye ago that we were celebrating Christmas and New Year... 
The dark little demoness in me is a little loathe to say goodbye to some of the hearts and flowers in this month... Even the darkness in me can't help but get caught up in the romance of it all... She knows it's almost time to say goodbye, and so she's snuck out into the dark garden to release the last of her love into the sky, to watch it drift away in the wind...

Having slipped into a pair of jeans and a cardigan to cover her favourite Alko Lingerie Set - a release from Normandy at Abnormality until February 28th - since apparently she cannot just wander in the gardens in her bra and panties...
