Sad, Trapped and Lost

I'm feeling very low today, I don't know why I mean aside from the random things that I usually complain about lately... I'm worried about people I care about are sick, I've got the stress of the house and the fact that HellBone is getting stressed and pissed and overdoing things, and I'm very very very tired... Today, nothing is making me feel happy, and I need to find a way to get my head above water...

I feel like I'm sitting alone in the dark and I am just going through the motions to keep my brain working and not breaking... I'm trying to keep my joyful attitude joyful by bouncing around on one of the Gummy Chairs - a release from Junk Food - that has been abandoned in my mind since my teens. 
I'm feeling shite, I'm sorry that I've been ranting here and there and I'm just wishing I could go home and spend some time with my Mum... I wish I could be there to help her and I wish that I could get back to my own home...

Warning Signs in the Club Tonight!

I may have had the day off today but I've been a busy girl... I'm trying to keep myself occupied at the moment, living in this craphole of a flat... They even asked me if I'd be interested in covering shifts downstairs, and I KNOW the moment that they get me on their list that any time it's busy I WILL be called to come downstairs and help any time it's busy. No thank you, really... I don't want that at all... 
If I was going to take on another job it would be something totally different from the work I already do, aside from the fact that I am entertaining people as they buy cheese, I think I'd need to do something of a little different sort of entertainment?! 

When I first started Second Life, I like a lot of people started as a dancer and an escort. I read a LOT of smut and love it in lots of different forms. I was always a rather bad girl, until I settled down with my hubby that is captain vanilla and like a big teddybear... I love him, don't me wrong but I'm kinda dying to be a bad girl LOL... Maybe that's the new job I've got to start... Maybe I should go back to being an escort and let the bad girl run free... 
It's play time - as the signs on the toy shelves from Krescendo - state, and this club is known to get a little wild... Death Loses His Angel

It's the start of March, and therefore the high season for me starts as it's the start of my Birthday month and the start of the end of my 30s... On March 19th, I turn 40... I cannot wait to celebrate this amazing new chapter in my life, but I'm kinda wishing this year would be done already... Now things are getting a bit worrying as Anna - my darling little kitty - is wobbling on her feet and I'm a bit scared for her too... So I'm starting my month with the amazing death of my 30s... 

Death has been having a field day but today, the death of his beautiful angel of death... The girl of the shoulder that she sits on is about to enter her 40s causing her a massive amount of shock lol... He's broken, he is shedding a tear and on his knees to worship the loss of his gorgeous angel... Chinese New Year

It feels like a lot is happening all at once in a Spiritual sense at the moment... There are so many different religious and cultural things going on in the world at the same time right now and it feels kinda different that everyone is celebrating something spiritual all at once. It would be nice if it would unite the world a little more, bring us all together since we're all a little closer to our spirituality right now but I doubt very much that will be the case since we all feel so broken... 

Now I know that I am NOT a religious person. I definitely believe in spiritual things, I am always going to believe in fairies and magic, and I LOVE all of the stories from different religions that are uplifting and full of meaning, and I REALLY hope I'm not going to cause offence but I don't like to think anyone's beliefs are more important than anyone elses... I love that we can all be different and believe what we choose, so long as it doesn't harm anyone - yes I KNOW that Wars are constantly, even now, being fought over religious reasons - but it would be such a boring world to live in, if EVERYONE thought the same, believed in the same, dressed the same or acted in the same way... That's my 10cents anyway...
I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I wanted to look a little at some of the current spirituality taking place that I know little about... Besides things I learnt at school there is SO MUCH TO KNOW about two big things taking place right now... Today I will be looking a little at the Chinese Lunar New Year.
So, for us that are not in the know, what is Chinese New Year?
Well apparently it's the most important Chinese Holiday, covering 15 days to celebrate the start of the Lunar New Year, and this year it started on February 17th - yes I KNOW I'm two days late, but I'm moving houses at the moment, give me some slack lol... The reason for the celebration is that it's a start of change, it celebrates family - often honouring ancestors - saying goodbye to the old and welcoming the new fortune for the new year. The whole celebration will culminate 15 days after it starts - so that's March 3rd - with the Lantern Festival!
Another interesting thing that I've often seen but never really thought much of, is that the Chinese Zodiac characters are animal based. Now there is a LOT of information about this, and I could basically write a whole other blog post for it, but this year is the year of the Horse - apparently as I was born in 1986 I am from the year of the Fire Tiger! 
Anyway, thank you for listening to me ramble and learn something new as I went along, I actually really enjoyed looking into something I knew little about and putting together a post for it. I think I will try it more often, and don't worry as always there will be something pretty to look at with a list of what I've got in the picture too... Just accept my ramblings LOL you know you want to...

Prepping the Bad Magic before Valentine's

Ahhh Wednesday, thank fuck you're finally done for me and I have the day off tomorrow... I NEED to have some time to relax, although with the building preparations and having to pack umore stuff I think I have a lot more to do than I might have anticipated LOL.... 
For tonight I'm going to kick back and work a little magic... The month of the hearts and flowers and romance is alomost upon us and for the next couple of weeks everything will no doubt be full of Valentine's sweetness... I'm not a Valentine fan, can't it be Halloween again?! Perhaps I need to find a way...

The Right Shoes For The Job!

It's Friday night, I've just got home from work and for me I'm now in my jammies curled up on the sofa with a cuppa tea and my cat. I've had a long day and now I want nothing more than a chance to relax... I'm nearly 40 but by body is trying to tell me I'm closer to 70 it seems LOL... 
I work in retail, you may know that by now, but I often wonder how I'd feel doing another type of job... Rudh on the other hand has NO such issue... She is and will always be a bit of a hooker LOL...

Skellington's Christmas Sciences!

Well we've made it to December, the festive season is officially starting and it's all beginning to look a lot like Christmas... I am not feeling very festive at all, and there is a lot more things for me to be worried about and on edge over at the moment, I'll be fine and will hopefully find the Christmas spirit somewhere... 
At the moment I feel a little like Jack Skellington when he was trying to discover Christmas for himself... 

I guess I was thinking about that when my mind was putting together my picture idea today... 
Jack Skellington's home came to mind, the day after he was starting his scientific search for Christmas secrets. I wanted to create something like my dark little mind trying to find the sparkle of Christmas, the magic that comes with all of the decor and treats and fun of Christmas... Crazy Days in the Paraphile Ward

Life is crazy right now and I feel like I'm living in a crazy house... I'm stuck in Holland while my mother is in hospital in the UK having some checks done because she's sick and it's driving me crazy... As if life wasn't crazy enough at the moment. I REALLY feel like I need a break from everything... Someone come and get me please... 

All I seem to do right now is hide away from the world when I'm not at work, all I want to do is sit around a read and hide from anything that looks like responsibilities... 
I mean the Smut that I tend to tead would get me into trouble with Jesus - like the poster states "Is that Smut?" in the neon frame from Venture - and so Rudh's been tied into the darkness to get some time away from everyone... Dressed for her own protection and forced to wear her Shock Treatment Crown - from NORUSH - but it's her imagination she truly has to worry about... My penchant for being a bit of a Paraphile, someone with an erotic interest in things that are inanimate objects among other things, and therefore being sent to the Paraphile ward - signs by Krescendo - definitely meant that she met my match in the Freaky Hands - from Tardfish - which must have come from the devil... I think I might like it here...

Rainbow Bats in the Rave Yard!!

I think that I MAY be one of the very few people in the world that has had nothing to do with K-Pop Demon Hunters... I mean I have seen it advertised everywhere, I know that it features some catchy K-Pop tunes but could not tell you if they were from the movie and aside from being able to look at a picture and say that I recognise the picture I see, I couldn't tell you anything about it... Am I the only one out there that hasn't seen it? 
So even though I know NOTHING, I'm going to admit I LOVE the look and wanted to play with the style on a night out for a little Halloween fun... 

I decided to get all dressed up and head into the Rave Yard, you follow the neon corridor dotted with neon tombstones and follow the instructions on the floor... As above, So below... The code of the rave yard club, where only members brandishing the logos, which Rudh wears as earrings - available from Six Feet Under at the still open FLF-O-Ween, and for a better look since her earrings are a little small in the main picture, I've added the advert below - are allowed to venture... The Music is loud and heavy...

Collecting that Toxic Energy!

Why has today been SO WEIRD?! Targets were set incredibly high so we missed them by a lot, it was pretty quiet but people that were in town were more than a bit weird and it just felt like a strange aura was hanging over the place I was made to be stuck all day... The weather was gorgeous... It was a lovely day, but I felt so odd and I just wanted to drift off to somewhere different... It felt almost toxic?!!

As per usual though, when my mood is a little bit weird... I let my mind get creative, and I LOVE the results, as toxic as they are... 
For some reason my mind went to a place where toxic energy was collected in large barrels, harvested from the jellyfish by the most interesting of jellyfish people... They have to live underwater but breathe the toxic energy they carry in the tanks on their backs when under water to harvest the stinging poisons...

Bloomin' Lubberly Bubbley!

I had to go into work today, it was a MUCH shorter day than normal but still it was supposed to be my day off and I was so ready to have a lazy day off... YET the world doesn't want me to relax and even though the weather today was atrocious I got ready and went into work like a good girl...

What I'd really wanted to do was stay home, relax, read my book and maybe even take a long hot shower, since I don't have a bath at home and I'm gonna admit that I'm sad about that... 
I miss being able to have a bath, I miss sitting in the hot bubbly water feeling like I'm a lobster boiling in a cooking pot... I used to hat baths, and when I was a teenager I'd always shower before I even thought about sitting in a bath because who wanted to sit in their dirty soup right? 
Now I'm craving having a bath...

The Pixel Fae and Her Arcade Aura

A magical day off that I spent at home in my jammies doing a few odd chores and reading the rest of the time... When I was cleaning the music was loud, cheesy, pop with many, many cheesy karaoke moments, using whatever I had to hand... Just a note to those who do this too, TOILET BRUSHES ARE NOT EVER TO BE USED AS MICROPHONES... Anything else is fair game, and can make you feel like a magical star... 

There is a loud, rumbling music that can be heard across certain regions of Second Life today as the adorable band that is Arcade Aura - which coincidentally is the name of the collection from everfaery for the newly opened round of Cyber Fair that includes the Wings and Left stocking shown in my outfit - in their matching stage outfits are warming up... Lots of loud cheesy pop music, glittering lights with stars and sparkles, and a lead guitarist that would make things a lot easier to rehearse if she remembered to plug the guitar in LOL...

Harvest Treats Time!

I know that Autumn doesn't officially start until September 22nd, but that isn't about to stop me from getting into the Autumn Spirit as it's my favourite time of the year... I LOVE the autumn, and although I'm trying hard to avoid all things pumpkin right now, I'm going to start letting the leaves fall, collecting the conkers that the trees gift us and wrapping myself in lots and lots of snuggly blankets while I cuddle a cup of tea and read a book... 
There are a few tasks that I have to get done this time of year... I started to assist the mushroom folk in their harvest, and today I get to harvest something even more magical... 

Being a magical being has it's perks and that's why the plants in my perfect little magical greenhouse are now ready for the harvest of some very interesting treats... The Sugarfora - from dust bunny at  kustom9 until September 10th - have been growing hard and have some delicious treats for us this year... The hanging Macaron, the Donut Tree and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Bush keep me happy with delicious treats all Winter if I am lucky, I have already got a crop of Iced Pink donuts - in a bucket from Junk Food - and am testing the chocolate chip cookies which I have to tell you are DELICIOUS!!!

The Future Of Self-Preservation!

Do you ever stop and think about the future? I am not the kinda girl that enjoys any form of Science Fiction, be that in movies or books, but the hubby really loves Star Wars... I think back to pictures of history that we've seen where they say in 2025 we'd be driving flying cars, and Back to the Future had so many gadgets that would be handy but are non-existant... I wonder will humans look different, they already warn about changes caused by technological influences like smart phones... But wouldn't it be better to be something more interesting... 

I'd like to think that we mutate into something a little cooler... Adding some Cyborg parts to make sure the human body runs smoothly, but like I've said they talk about Smart Phone hands and App watching neck with a hump since we spend so long looking down at phones and tablets, but I was hopeing maybe for more eyes or something so that I can see better and don't have to wear glasses any more. I know I could wear contacts but I cannot stick my fingers in my eyes... 
As for protection though, I'd stick with the old school methods... Like they say, if it aint broke, don't fix it...

A Darker Side to the Easter Bunny

I've been off work sick for the past two days... It seems like there is a dreaded lurgy going around, as everyone in my work team has been hit, just in time for the high season in a striking resemblence to the events of 5 years ago when COVID initially happened... Tomorrow I am planning to try and go back, we NEED people even though I'm still not really well enough... Today I'm having to try and do things as normal, so that means it's time to try and work on a little something for my blog... I'm not in the best mood, so something dark it is... 
Have you ever wondered where Easter Eggs come from?! 

Today we're on a pathway to find out, and I'll warn you now, it's not all chocolate, cute animals and pastel colours... There's a darker side of Easter, there's a monstrous establishment where the chickens are forced to lay the brightly coloured eggs that decorate tables and homes for the festive season... They once they have been laid they are taken to another location where the gnomes fill them with chocolate... All under the watchful eye of the Easter Bunny and his minions. Not all of the minion bunnies are the cute cuddly kind, there are the darker, twisted overseers are just that, dark and twisted, controlling and a little evil... Yet they run a tight ship, but they look SO feisty, fabulous as they do it...

Uwila, the Keepers of the Quartz

Today I had the day off and I felt like I needed a little magic, things are beginning to look a lot like Spring and the sun has finally started defrosting the Netherlands but I get the feeling that by the time my Birthday gets here the weather may have changed a little.. I NEEDED some magic... I called out into the eather and found a magical being with a store that needed to be told... 

Within the Ivy covered hallways - a backdrop from Paparazzi - of the castle there are a wide range of magical beings gathering... It was the arrival of the Uwila - which happens to be a head and body release from BeSpoke - that caused the most stir. The ethereal, celestial bird like beings are keepers of the Ephemera Quartz, and they harvest the magic through their Magus Rods - a release from Quills & Curiosities - in the hopes that Spring will be a happy, wonderful one...

It's a 2007 kinda thing...

I had a weekend off, yesterday was the Hubby's Birthday so I had too much to do, and today I've been playing catch up on things around the house... I also played catch up with an old friend and went on a trip down memory lane... Things were said, my mind was blown, and now I feel like I'm heading back into my emo phase... I feel like it would be the right time to slip into the black parade and live my best emo life... 

In America, weren't they called Scene kids? I know we had them in the UK but I'm not sure I ever used that term, it was only Emos really... I never got into the style much myself, I was definitely part of the skater crowd and LOVED the music but I'd never have referred to myself as a Scene Kid... So I couldn't really resist my chance... 
I loved the vibe of the style, the bright colours and the different to modern posing although still as equally cheesy to witness someone doing in RL  kinda attitude that went with it... So Rudh decided to pose at the Night Bus Stop, dressed up in her best 2007Emotions Outfit - from CryBunBun - trying to look emotionally tortured... Those make the best kind of photos...

Fairy Teas Need Human Magic!

Halloween has been and gone now, and that means, as the great Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey says "It's TIMEEEEEEEEEEE!" Christmas is almost here and we are on a slippery slope to the visit from the big man in red... 
It is time though to calm things down and watch the world go by a little, time to enjoy the Autumn colours and the chill in the air. The best way to do that... Time to settle down with a cuppa tea, as the happy little fae in me takes a break from painting the nature in red and gold...

The fae folk have a magical crystal table set up in the Enchanted Hall, with the soul purpose of it being for making tea and eating yummy things that magically appear... Cakes of all kinds, and croissant sandwiches sit on the mushroom clove crockery, while the tea cups in the set sit waiting to be filled with delicious hot tea or coffee... Most of the things in the Fae kitchen are naturally sourced, but if you look closely you will see that a trip was made to the human world in search of one of the most important things in the world... COFFEE CREAMER - from Junk Food - because no matter what kind of magic the fae have, there will ALWAYS be better coffee creamers in the human world hehe...

Only Books have the Answers!

Today has been a busy but lovely day... I got to see my mum for a few hours when her cruise docked in Amsterdam - she said my tour was much nicer than the one offered by the cruise operators - and then after a very hectic morning, I came home to relax... I had a shower, got into something comfortable and promptly took a nap. I'd been planning to read, but I only managed a few pages before I passed out... 

Nothing like curling up with a good book, I LOVE reading under a blanket with a cuppa... I've been reading so much this year, and I realised the other day when I didn't get a chance to read before bed that I had trouble falling asleep... 
Like I said though, being in my jammies, with a good book, a cup of tea or coffee and my darling pussy cats - like the Bat-titude and Arachno Cats from Aardvark at the current round of ACCESS - can make everything better. In this case, I'm sat with a voodoo doll friend of mine whilst I look through the Necronomicon as the mess of my desk wasn't revealling the information I needed it too... Not even my Pendulum Prediction Board - from MadPea, available until November 10th at Kustom9 - wasn't able to find the answers...

Me and my Monster Ghouls

Dress up is SO MUCH FUN... Today has been one of my favourite days for dressing up because this as with every year I LOVE to get myself a little Monster High on... This year it's not me collecting my own ghouls to spend my Monster High day with, this year I got to meet my favourite ghouls in their high school corridor as I became one of them... 

Today I started a new year at Monster High and got to walk the school hallways with the amazing ghoulfriends of Monster High... I've always been a MASSIVE fan and wished that Monster High had been a thing when I was an 11 year old girl playing her barbie dolls... It would have been a case of BARBIE WHO?!
For those of you that don't know, Monster High is about the children of well known Monsters... I had to decide who my parents would be, of course knowing me I'd be the daughter of a demonness, full of Hellfire and Toxicly Painted... Though my Scene Queen outfit seemed to get a seal of approval from the ghouls, and armed with my ZombiChi - a new release from JIAN at FLF-o-ween - I'l be the new Elle Woods of Monster High...
