The Prettiest Death

It's Halloween season, you can't really have missed it unless you're living under a rock, and we're getting closer and closer to the spookies coming to a head this month. There is somuch going on and I'm finding it very hard to keep my head up and think about things I need to get done. I won't complain, life is just moving very fast and I am more than a little tired, but at least it is moving forwards... Though I am not sure if it's due to Spooky Season, or if it's just because of some RL stuff at the moment but death seems to be on my mind a fair bit... 

Death has aways come in so many different forms, and even if you're not into graphic representations of Death many people will have an idea of what they believe this figure will look like. Even some of the world's most early human cultures had their representations of death and the vast majority of those were not the Grim Reaper that we often associate Death with nowdays. 
I think for me, my favourite representation of Death was the one from the Supernatural franchise, and Julian Richings - who played him - deserves multiple awards! Though if I was going to Grim Reaper or Death myself, I think she'd be a little more ethereal... A little more otherworldly... A little more kick butt in a pretty outfit...

The Mourning Moth and her Pets

I felt like it was time for a little dark magic... Halloween is getting closer and closer, and so far the magic has barely been grey let alone dark... I think the Halloween spirits are beginning to get a little twitchy... 
There are spirits stirring in the deepest parts of the darkest forest... Monsters are getting restless and beginning to crawl out of the darkness... 

In the forest it feels like you are being Watched - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - yet it is not the eyes you need to watch out for. The dark Mourning Moth - a release from Faunus that is still available until October 24th at Kawaii Secrets - is lurking, her dark magic having lured the Arachnid Belle - a gorgeous outfit created by the amazing Eliavah in a brilliant collaboration with everfaery for this month's Kustom9 - to create her a magical outfit made with dark magic in mind... 
She and her wonderful pets, the pack of Paimon - a pose prop included with the pose set from Fashiowl - and the large black Forest Spirit - from Tardfish - are preparing their arrival... It is time for more black magic...

The Draconic Empire

It won't be long now until the Engine Room closes it's doors for the end of the month long opening... The Engines are beginning to slow, and there are monsters, darklings and the steampunk beings shuffling back into the room before the doors close... 
Outside the room, the balcony oozes Southern Charm - available now at Synnergy.Tavis - and it is here on the balcony that we find our Draconian Empress calling in her pets... 

The Draconian Empress - dressed in the most gorgeous of dress of blue silk from Decoy that is available at the Engine Room until it closes on April 20th - stands on the balcony gently whistling into the wind.. Her baby dragon sits on her shoulder but it is the bigger dragons that need to come in from further away, the dragons fly in to disappear with their mistress... Breathing their 'Fantastical Nebulous Aether' - from Cole's Corner - in her face as a greeting of love...

Modern Tech at The Engine Room

There are so many pretty things happening in Second Life at the moment, the changing of the colours is taking place and people are slowly starting to wear warmer, cosy looking clothing. There are costumes being planned and things are starting to get a little spooky. I LOVE this time of year... 
There are other things happening that have to be shared though before the spooky things start. The Engine Room has opened and there's so many gorgeous, steampunkish things filling the grid, Yet you know me, there are ways to make things fit every style, for my first peek into the Engine Room I went a little wild... 

Out the back of The Engine Room, you might find the Workshop - a backdrop from FOXCITY - Rudh wrapped herself in a protection with a Nox Arcana - a halo from Quills & Curiosities - to slip between the somewhat dangerous Power Cell Pillars - from Oblivis at The Engine Room - to steal the universal heart, or the "Left my heart in..." - from Doe at Dollholic - that has been stored in the Murder Juke Audio Jukebox... 
I know that her outfit, and in fact this entire picture, isn't really very steampunk in style but I had to get a little high-tech Manticore Mecha Arms - from Elivah - which caused me to get more than a little high tech in style...

The Demons of Midnight Order

Now that the Midnight Order has arrived and the darkness has seeped over the summertime in Second Life it seems to be that the monsters are feeling the heat as much as anyone. Funny to think that the demons are finding the heat too hot... If you're using the summoning spells to bring the demons to your door, don't expect them to come dressed and hiding their true demonic forms... 

In the Lordhunter's Crypt of the Spires Society, a special place that only opens during the Midnight Order, they have set out one of the special Dark Floor Portals - from CELESTE, available at Midnight Order. 
The demonness that they have summoned forth is currently only wearing her shoes, a gorgeous pair of cinphul Virginia Stilettos, that verge on the demonic in their own right. The red candle light glinting from her huge Aspirant Horns - which are part of the Nefekalum release for Midnight Order - seems menacing, but it is nothing compared her Voracious Maw - from Eliavah - a body part that she normally conceals under her clothes. 
The darkness, and the macabre, seem like nothing in comparison to the fear that rises fast at the sight of those teeth, and the drool on her lashing tongue...

Waiting for new arrivals at the River Styx

How the heck is it so hot at the moment... BAH HUMBUG I HATE SUMMER!! Apparently it's not going to cool down in Holland all that much either, and in August they are expecting extreme highs in temperature! *facepalms* I'm already counting down the days until Autumn comes, BRING ON THE COLD!! 
While it's this hot, I feel like letting my inner demon out to play, she's not got a problem with the heat, since she's used to the high temperatures of Hell...In fact she's even taken on new responsibilities in Hell, waiting for the new arrivals at their final destination on the River Styx... 
The voice comes over the tannoy "Last Stop... HELL... Please check in with the red-head on the pier!"

This outfit was NEVER meant to be demonic, I was actually going to do something pretty and girlie with it, would you believe lol... Yet I went to check for a pose backdrop at WHOLE WHEAT and this idea kinda grew in my head... 
Just an FYI though, at the moment they are undertaking a MAJOR remodelling at Whole Wheat, so be careful where you tread if you decide to visit now!!!
The entire base for this outfit was in fact these lassitude & ennui boots, which are available at We <3 RP until July 31st. When I put the boots on, I immediately thought they'd be cute with the Elivah dress I picked up at The Crystal Heart Festival, but somehow after that things got twisted, I blame it on the location... My horns, tail and wings began to show, and it wasn't long until I was joined by a little HellHound Puppy... 
So now I wait for the new arrivals in Hell... All hell is about to break loose!!!
