The Elementemporia Tome and the Crystal Portal

I'm not sure if it's just my perception of things but while I've been digging through the fun stuff that has come from the Engine Room this month, I've kinda noticed that there is a lot less steampunk and a lot more magical fantasy... Like I said, maybe it's just me but my brain is going into magical overdrive and I LOVE it... I will never complain, especially when you can take something in one theme and make it another... 
That's what happened today, the steampunk met the magic and wonderous things started to happen... 

Even the cyborgs have magicians, there are magical forces at work in the stratosphere and up within the New Horizons Space platform - which is part of the backdrop from The Bearded Guy - this robotic demon bears the mask of Pride's Ego - thanks to the CRYPTID Sin VII Masks from the Engine Room - while her body shines under the polished gold of her ELECTRA Body - a release from JANGKA, also at The Engine Room - and she surveys the stars through her Charon Coin Glasses - from Violetility at SABBATH until April 11th.
With the help of the Crystal Portal, that she wears on her back to keep it safe and protected - from RSStore - and the magical Elementemporia Tome - a book by Artemisia - the summoning process to bring in more starlight minions has begun, they will be born into the Experiment Tanks - by Oblivis - and they will stay there until they grow big and strong enough to light up the night...

Love and Hugs for Christmas

It's Christmas Eve-Eve... It's also the last time that I'm likely to be able to blog for the last few days as if I'm not working then I have Christmas stuff to get through. The monster-in-law is coming to spend the day, I will be cooking a HUGE turkey that we will spend the next few days devouring. I've spent the day wrapping and cleaning and making sure that my fur babies are behaving. I even had a few hours to finish decorating the home that I share with HellBone in SL... 

Would you believe it that I also was able to find the time to get myself all festively dressed up and snap a quick pic to give people a little hint at our homely mess... For Christmas this year rather than curling up in my Pyjamas to wait for Santa, this year I'm going to dress as an adorable little deer and dance with the reindeer in the snow... 
For now though I'd like to takea moment to send love and hugs to everyone for the festive holidays this year. If you are celebrating Christmas or not, if you are forced to be with people that bug you or with the ones that you love, or even hiding away on your own with a cup of tea and a good book, have yourself a very merry everything and a very happy always!!!

Back Alley Apocalyptic Chic

There is nothing better than putting on an outfit and realizing that it's starting to come together with the mental image in my mind that is makes me super happy... Sometimes working on something to blog can be a little trying, I never know where I will be able to go with an idea, I may start with the smallest of items and then suddenly, as I've mentioned before, the snowball rolls down the hill and I end up creating something that makes me smile... Today the starting point was a spiky baseball bat, and the cutest of stripy skirts... All leading to a healthy dose of Back Alley Apocalypse Chic...

Down the back alley, hiding away from anyone that could be out to cause her harm, she's parked her Scrappy Scooter - from DRD - to give herself and her Rottweiler buddy a chance to have a moment to catch a breath... Guests in Space

In the past few days I kinda retreated into myself, I know it sounds silly but the low numbers that my last post got on Flickr made me very much doubt what I was doing as a blogger - silliness I know, since I always do it for myself and if other people like it then that's great - but I found myself drifiting away from the prettiness and heading into a sci-fi territory that I normally avoid. I LOVE the stars and planets - my SL house is full of them as decor - so I wanted to be amongst them, at least until the ship I was in had a visit from a visitor... 

While chilling out in my Space Bunker - a backdrop from Synnergy - I was just spending some time snuggling up with some of the space kits that live in the bunker... Suddenly the warning lights in the ship started to flash, the sirens started to sound and then BAM! A HUGE tentacle appeared on the window of my bunker cabin... 
I ran from that bunker and I won't be looking back... Telling myself it's a large octopus, so I don't even have to think of the alternative... Running away from what is scaring me so that I can focus on what is good for me!

I'm Nicer When I Like My Outfit... Or Am I?!

Have you ever seen that saying "I'm nicer when I like my outfit!" Well, that's how my thoughts are going today. I feel much nicer right now because I like this outfit, and what's funny is that it involves a colour I normally tend to run away from. In fact I think I might actually be starting to like this colour - just don't tell anyone that I said that... 
It just feels cute and girlie, something that I have a craving to feel right now, and well... when you like your outfit, it's great to show it ofr, right?! 

I had two items stashed away in my hoard that I wanted to blog today, but it wasn't really seeming to come together all that well until for some reason I started chewing gum and blew a bubble... Then it seemed like a natural look... Like something that a somewhat slutty high-school girl may wear in the movies perhaps?!

Saving the Fluffy Dragon

I've been reading back through some of my recent ramblings, and I've noticed a pattern LOL... I seem to spend far too much time complaining about how tired I am and so from now on, take that as a given and let's talk interesting stuff shall we?!

Break into the dark fae world through the Fairytale Mirror Portal - a mirror by LOVE - located in the forest glade amongst the Viking Standing Stones - by Hextraordinary - to rescue the Rare Snow Fluffy Dragon - from Lovely Alien - and return him to safety!

A Mermaid's Day on the Beach

It's the weekend!!! I finally have some time to myself, and I've just been told some even better news in that I have the weekend off from my SL job - as well as ALL of next week!!! So this means only one thing... A LITTLE MORE RELAXATION TIME FOR ME!!! I'm going to party it up and have some fun for a change! Starting with a trip to The Beach in SL... 

It's the perfect place for me to run around in my adorable, yet sexy, surfer girl style - RealEvil Industries - Sereia Bikini. It's a Gacha set, but the collection includes jewellery and if you're lucky you might get your hands on the RARE Bikini!!!
Now whilst I was running around on the beach enjoying myself, I noticed that people were starting to stare a little... I thought that it was because I looked so fabulous, but actually, and unknown to me, my mermaid scales were starting to appear a little translucently on my skin... It must have been a combination of the salt water and the sand... DAMMIT, no one is supposed to see those! THIS IS WRONG - although aren't they a pretty creation from the store for this month's round of ECLIPSE?! Subtle, and only available to see in the right lighting, these scales can be left white - as is the default on the maitreya body - or tinted. I loved them being white, my mermaid colour tends to change depending on my mood but in white they look translucent like they may or may not even be there... SO GORGEOUS!

A Dead Nurse to bring the Pain

I'm having one of those days when things are pretty boring LOL... I know it sounds terrible and that I shouldn't complain but I NEED some kind of a distraction and it's only a matter of time before the evil in me decides to rear it's kinda cute head... I've been heard telling people that the happier I am the more the Living Dead Girl side of me pops up, but I think today I just wanted to do something that would make me smile, and well folks... She's It! 
Today she's here to bring us a well deserved smile and hand out a dose of pain to those that deserve it... 

I love when I can let her out to play, and the Living Dead Girl inside me has been desperate to get her greedy little hands on this awesome Love Sick Gacha Collection from CURELESS since it was released at the last round of the Epiphany, before I went on vacation... I've held her back for a while but it was no longer possible, it was time for her to play dress up and inject a little pain into the pleasure that is my rambling space.

Isn't MyMermaid Pretty?

ANNNNNNNND I'm back to playing with a totally different feeling when it comes to my blog... I always say it goes in cycles LOL, now I'm back in the realm of the pretty, fairytale me! Sorry everyone, you should know that you never know what you're going to get, and maybe that's the beauty of my blog, it's like a lucky dip every post LOL... 
I went fairytale Rudh style today... The mermaid in me wanted a day in the spotlight and well, how could I deny her... 

Isn't she pretty? All girlie pastel colours and with the most amazing little fish friends that follow in her bubbles! I guess I'm feeling a little inspired since I saw Aquaman last night - the girl in that has a LOT of Ariel about her, dontcha think? The bright red hair colour! It was the fluorescent lighting of the magical cities that made me most impressed - if you discount Jason Momoa being a massive PHWOAR factor! 
The look really came about because of these adorable MyMermaid Shorts from MuggleBorn, and obviously anything hinting at a mermaid means mine will be screaming to be allowed to play in it! From there it was a slippery slope to walking on land style Mermaid - the fishnet set from Vanilla Bae becoming a barely there top and the Half-Deer Mermaid's Majesty tiara topping off the look!

Here Kitty Kitty...

Recently my little SL family got a bit bigger... NO there are no kids involved, not of Hell and mine anyway. We learnt our lesson... That won't be happening again... BUT when it comes to family, I'm happy to say that I've been adopted by the BOOM clan! 
My newly adoptive Sister Racey, is President of the Ghost Bullys MC. Leading a troop of people that are very much like the Gators in their levels of crazy. She's the proud - or maybe not so depending on when we're talking - momma of 4, Biller, Lily, Dusti and her baby, Kitten... I became close with both Momma and Baby thanks to the departure of an Ex Gator, who actually did me a massive favour by leaving! 
So today I'm paying homage to my BOOM family... A picture inspired by my Neice Kitten... 

A kittenish Rudh... Not really that shocking, considering I won these awesome Cat Panties from VCO at the Hentai Fair. I'm not wearing real Kitty ears though, that's all part of this adorable wig from #Foxy. 
Yet the biggest shocker of this picture HAS to be all the pink... For some reason, as soon as I dressed like a kitty, I was drawn to the pinkness... I blame the Kittens!!!

Love Potion #9

There are periods of the year that are supposed to be the most magical if you look at any cultural history. Christmas is now very much tired up with the Pagan holiday of the Mid-Winter and in fact, if you look at many of our modern Christmas traditions, you will realise that they came from Pagan festivities. It is definitely a time of magic however, and that magic may be used for less than good... 
In a dark little shop in the Ironwood Hills, a little witch hides away brewing a Love Potion after being jilted just before the Christmas festivities began... 

Her Sad Tears - thanks to an applier from Nightmare which can be seen more clearly in the attached close ups I've included below and which is the new release from Nightmare at the main store - are adding to the Love Potion #9 - a pose from elephante poses - that she found in one of her Grandmother's old books... 
She was dressed for a party in a Sugarplum Oubliette dress of soft lilac lace, purchased very recently at the Winter's Hollow, and had even remembered her special Dae Glasses, to make her eyes sparkle thanks to the Zombie Suicide, but it seems like this pretty outfit will never make it to the party...

Plastic Rainbow Glitter Smiles

I did something silly yesterday in regards to sharing something fun and crazy, and today I feel like sharing more bright and happy things - it's masking how I really feel right now - it's also the fault of some of the lovely pretties I've gathered for myself recently... I've been spoilt for choice as there is so much good stuff out there, a girl simply cannot help it! 
So today I'm going to do something all about rainbows and sunshine... Something so cute and retro that it makes me smile just to see myself looking this crazy... It's perfect for Rudh!!! 

 It started with these adorable and so fun wigs and wig-stands that were released from Lost Junction for the current round of Collabor88. The Plastiwigs are a part of Lost Junction's Top of the Claes collection, and I knew as soon as I unpacked these crazy things that something wonderful would come out of my owning them... I LOVED THEM!! I stood them on a table, and of course dressed Rudh's upper half so that she would look like just another crazy mannequin head, and then added some awesome make-up, including this gorgeous sparkly eye-shadow - a Sparkle Shadowed Liner - from Zombie Suicide. Now I know that it's not totally clear in my picture so just to assist in viewing and maybe purchasing the liner pack I've included the store add texture below too...

A Space Odd-esy

One Genre of style that you will rarely see me getting into is anything that could be classed as Sci-Fi or Space. For the longest time I've had a bit of a phobia of aliens, and even though HellBone forced me to watch Star Wars and is the biggest Star Wars fan on the planet, I'm still very uncomfortable around the genre. Though now that Indie Teepee has opened for 2017, and there is an area that is perfectly dedicated to the futuristic with some awesome things to buy and shows to see, AND if that wasn't enough to shove me in the direction of something futuristic and Sci-Fi, WHOLE WHEAT have an awesome new pose location set up... These things were a match made in heaven! 

In the new Futuristic Booth at WHOLE WHEAT, I decided it would be fun to make myself a little cyborg babe character...

Fighting the Walking Dead

Monday Morning comes again... It's a time of the week that sounds dreadful but isn't actually that bad - least I'm beginning to think that way - Tuesday morning always seems worse somehow?! Yet I am not denying that it is always a struggle to get myself up in the morning on a Monday morning.
There is just one thing that brightens up my Mondays at the moment and that's the fact that it is Walking Dead Night tonight. I am not a fan of the show, but HellBone is, which means that Monday Nights are awesome because I get a full hour of alone in bed time!!

The pose I am using is perfect for that... It's a Come Soon Swag Bag Pose Prop - from last month's Swag Bag - called End of Line. If I'm going to be taken out, then I am taking out everyone else with me!
The outfit was one of the real reasons that I wanted to use this pose - for some reason they just seemed to fit together so well! The body suit and matching collar is a Salt & Pepper creation called Cyberized that you can win from a gacha machine in various colours and combinations at The Gacha Garden. It seemed perfectly accessorised with this Chained Mask and the Survivor Holster - both from The Little Bat that I found during the Pulse Games Event this year!
Bring on the Walking Dead... I'm ready to go to bed!

Exploring a Burtonesque World

Well last night was great, I'm not sure if you have seen it but I actually decided to share a little of my RL with you all last night and posted a picture that I took at a RL gig into my Flickr account. This morning though I am paying the price for that concert going addiction that I have because oh my gah I was suffering all night with terrible cramp in BOTH legs!
Still this morning, waking up with a cup of tea and some toast I feel a little bit like I was in a different world last night. The band that I went to see was a band called Lordi - I posted a picture of the lead singer on Flickr last night - and they are a little Monstrous! Demonic Zombies that play some great music and put on a fun show! So you will have to excuse me for feeling like I'm in another world right now!

OK the world that Rudh is in is far from Demonic, but this Burtonesque world is still just as awesome. You can find this Burtonesque location at my favourite photo location - WHOLE WHEAT - where I really think that Tim Burton would feel they have done him proud!
To fit with the location however, I needed something equally interesting to wear, and I got very lucky with this amazing outfit from Elegance Boutique - which I picked up the current round of Cosmopolitan. Luckily I was able to accessorise the bow of this Strange and Unusal Exile Hair to match!! It was like an outfit that was meant to be together... 
Together with my Familiar Cat - from PSYCHO.Byts for Hocus Pocus - I am ready to explore this strange new world, I just wish work wouldn't be so rude as to get in the way!!

Seeking Viking Men!

I've been watching a TV show on the History Channel - yes my inner geek is very happy at the moment - called Barbarians Rising recently... It's a docudrama about the so called barbarians that took on the Roman Empire in an attempt to save their homelands and people, and actually it's pretty good... Having studied Archaeology I tend to get a little bit geeky and will sometimes be known to shout at a screen that "that isn't right" so the fact I'm thinking it's good is telling you something LOL...
It's also gotten my blogger mojo working in overdrive... I WANT TO DO SOMETHING BARBARIANISH!!! Only problem is, I don't want to stick to true Barbarian... I want to give it that fantasy, sexed-up, video game style Barbarian Warrior Girl twist... SO that's that I did LOL... 

It's really not hard to find the right bits and pieces in SL to make an outfit like the one I wanted... I really didn't need to look all that hard for it - in fact I got very lucky that I'd been sent all the items I needed as a blogger, which is one of the many perks I guess - yet once the pieces were added together, I was more than happy about the fantasy, sexed-up, video game style Barbarian Warrior Girl twist look I'd pulled together! 
The basis of the outfit was this awesome outfit from Lassitude & Ennui - for the current round of We <3 RP until September 30th - is the Conqueror Set, shown here in Steel... It went perfectly with the accessory I chose to add from Paper Moon. The Necklace of Da'at is Paper Moon's release for The Secret Affair this month - I'm hoping that the large stone in the middle will distract from a few of those bruises that she's been getting in fights! 
Now before I finish running around like a Barbarian Warrior skank - lol - I wanted to share details of the sim with you... This was taken at Skarvald, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a Vikingesque location, either to roleplay or take pictures in... Just don't forget your observer tag if you do head into the location!
