It's the weekend!!! I finally have some time to myself, and I've just been told some even better news in that I have the weekend off from my SL job - as well as ALL of next week!!! So this means only one thing... A LITTLE MORE RELAXATION TIME FOR ME!!! I'm going to party it up and have some fun for a change! Starting with a trip to The Beach in SL...
It's the perfect place for me to run around in my adorable, yet sexy, surfer girl style - RealEvil Industries - Sereia Bikini. It's a Gacha set, but the collection includes jewellery and if you're lucky you might get your hands on the RARE Bikini!!!
Now whilst I was running around on the beach enjoying myself, I noticed that people were starting to stare a little... I thought that it was because I looked so fabulous, but actually, and unknown to me, my mermaid scales were starting to appear a little translucently on my skin... It must have been a combination of the salt water and the sand... DAMMIT, no one is supposed to see those! THIS IS WRONG - although aren't they a pretty creation from the store for this month's round of ECLIPSE?! Subtle, and only available to see in the right lighting, these scales can be left white - as is the default on the maitreya body - or tinted. I loved them being white, my mermaid colour tends to change depending on my mood but in white they look translucent like they may or may not even be there... SO GORGEOUS!

So today my RL parents left me after their albeit brief but busy visit, and I'm at that point of feeling a little lost and drained. What do I do in times like this? I turn to SL and look for a fun, and random, distraction and well, what better distraction than going to a beach to cool down on a warm Summers day.
I hate being hot in the summer, as a RL big girl it's not a nice feeling, BUT in SL stripping off and heading to The Beach is something that I'm more than happy to do...
Especially if I have a cute friend too, that I can ride the tide with!!
The bikini I chose to wear today is one from the Rally to Rescue, it's available from Sass - the event will be closing in the next two days, so you have a little bit more time to get in and shop and raise some money for Pitbulls and other animal rescues.
The awesome rubber ring is actually a pose by BellePoses for the Women Only Hunt, there are 5 poses in the series and if you want them all you have to do is hunt for the adorable little kittens!
Now if only I didn't have to work tomorrow? I don't want to go back to reality!

Bit of a sad post for me today, as I have to report the closing of one of my favourite pose making stores. I'm trying not to be too sad, since I've been with this store since it's start, but a girl can't really help feeling sad when something she loves disappears.
Though to go with the sad I needed to do something a little happy feeling, and today I'm thinking back to my childhood... I was born in the late 80's, and so my childhood was spent through the 90's. Rewind this month, is taking us back to Y2K, with fashions and things that I remember really well... A little Britney - not that she was my choice but my younger sister LOVED her - a little DUH and a lot of OHMYGAHTHEMILLENNIUMBUGISCOMING!!! All of that aside though, one of my favourite things when I was a kid, was running around the beach, playing in the surf and having a really good time doing it - now days I'm way too scared of the fact it's BLOODY FREEZING! There was one thing I never went without, and now Ama made some exactly like I had!!!
First the good stuff then the sad I think...
I mentioned before about Ama having made some exactly like I had... I'm talking about the Jelly Shoes - or as they call them the Millennium Platforms - which they have released for Y2K Rewind. I used to love these shoes as a kid on the beach, I had them in loads of colours, though my favourites were always the glittery ones! I knew I had to go play on The Beach in them!
Now the Sad... Signature Pose has now closed it's doors in world...
This has been one of my favourite, go-to stores when I needed poses. OK so I'm a little biased, since I've been visiting the store I have been lucky enough to become good friends with the stores owner - Amanda Randall - but even without that it seems so sad to see a store I love close... Poses are still available via the Marketplace, and there may be releases in the future too, but for now it's time for a break.

Yes you saw that right, being in town is too hot, I want to go to the beach and stroll along in the sand, then play in the waves, and even because I am really special laze in the shade with a really good book... Maybe it's not the best place to do it, here in Holland, I mean the beaches are pretty but not exactly Mediterranean when it comes to water temperature!
Still once all the hard work is done in preparation for the terribly hot weekend ahead - bare in mind I'm a big girl in RL lol, I don't handle heat well - I plan on sitting in my breathing space, by the water and taking it easy!!!
For now though I will share with you my dreams of being somewhere cooler hehe...
I found a lovely beach to play on the other day... It's an adult location, simply known as The Beach but it's so well put together that it will no doubt be somewhere I visit again!
I wore a very loose fitting dress in a fabulous retro print, from Sweet Lies, that I picked up at the recent round of The Fantasy Collective, and teamed that with a pair of super cute flat sandals from [ShiZZo]. If you haven't ever heard of [ShiZZo], don't worry neither had I, it is the store where one half of the Signature Pose team - the Shilenni part not the Pinkie bit - sells pretty things that are not poses!
Looking at it now, I am starting to feel a bit cooler but I've just been told it's time to go out in RL so YAY I'm gonna actually go and cool off!!! Tata for now!!
