Cinder Moon and the Sabertooth Beasts

Days off are lovely at this time of year, or at least I think so... I love having a reason to be hiding in the coziness of my house while the weather is causing chaos around me... I love that this time of year things are getting darker, and since it's spooky season, everything is just that little bit more mysterious... 
I LOVE being all kinds of different characters at this time of year, although I'm finding it somewhat difficult to get motivated this year... I don't know how to get in the zone, maybe I NEED to speak to the mystic gods and ask for some magical assistance... 

Today on a trek into the jungle I've come to ask for assistance from the Cinder Moon Druid - dressed in a Cinder outfit from Enfant Terrible at Engine Room until October 20th, and a Druid Moon Staff from Simply Shelby - at the Sons of the Sun Temple - which is a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - and she's the person that may be able to help... 
Beware her Sabertooth Beasts - a gorgeous Engine Room release from Aardvark - though, they can be soft and sweet little kittens but mess with their mistress and you're in big trouble and whatever you do, don't call them tigers...

Magical Falling Leaves

It has really felt like an Autumn day today... I love love love that crisp cold feeling in the air of the early morning, then the sun was shining through my bedroom window as I lounged after my shower and it was heavenly, and the colours are changing and it's sweater weather and the dark coming earlier means we can have candles and coziness and delicious dinners that we don't eat in Summer because it's too hot... The list could go on and I am happy it's time of the year that makes me feel best... The magic is alive, while the word is changing... 

The magic of the Autumn is brilliant, it's beautiful in Springtime when things are coming to life but in Autumn when things are preparing for their Winter sleep and the colours paint the trees to look like fire and of course, the magical fae that are in charge of the changes are both mystical and dance with the falling leaves in the light of the setting sun... 
This fa is very shy though, you'll never see her real eyes... She looks at the world through her mask, the Crown of Nocturna - which in this case is a white version that I have cheekily re-coloured for blogging purposes and the colours available are gorgeous but weren't right for what I needed, the mask is from BeSpoke and it's TOTALLY GORGEOUS - and it lets her magic paint the worlds in shades of orange...

Flowers and Fluttering Things!

It's time to get MAGICAL... It's time to celebrate and let my hair down... It's time to RELAX... Today is unofficially the start of my holiday... I am going away to see my family in RL next week, but for the next few days I'll be blogging my little heart out and having a damn good time doing it... I even saw a blogger challenge that I plan on participating in, so watch this space for that, but today I'm letting the magic take me... 
The flowers of summer brings all the butterflies, bees and perhaps a cute little fairy boy or two - depending on my reading material hehe - to my garden... 

I am very much looking forward to spending some time in England next week, there is never anything more relaxing than seeing my parents and other family members. I look forward to spending some time in my parents garden, reading books and doing a little shopping... 
My fathers garden is a magical place, full of flowers, full of life and when I was little, I always imagined it was full of fairies...

Moth on the Moon

It's been a long day, and life has been busy. When don't I say that at the moment though... I feel that now it's time to just kick back and lounge on the sofa and let my mind drift off to a fantasy place, where I can be someone different, even if that means that I'm just different and still asleep... 
Maybe a sleepy fairy that snoozes on the moon... 

Sometimes when I'm in a world of my own it tends to be a fairy world and when I'm hanging on a moon - thanks to the Moonlight pose collection from -Extra- at the round of Kawaii Project that opens on April 18th - it feels peaceful...

The Flower Folk of Spring

March is a fairly important month, not only is it my birthday month, it's also the start of Spring officially and that means that this part of the world that I'm in life starts to start. Freshness, colours and warm sunshine become the most important things of the season... 
Second to Autumn, Spring is a time of year that I LOVE, I'm a girl that loves the dark and twisted but also the colourful pretties, and all the flowers that are springing to life make me super happy... 

Flower Fairies are just as happy as I am at this time of year, possibly more so, as it is they that are the ones that get to welcome in the flowers... Flowers of all kinds including favourites of mine like daffodils and lily of the valley, are making gardens look wonderful... 
The little Spring Flower Fairy in me is happy, sitting in the grass to talk to her magical little friends...

Welcome to my Garden of Shadows

What would costumes at Halloween season be like if I didn't throw in a nod to the eight legged beasties that seem to be a cause of many people's nightmares. I'll admit that I don't find them terrifying but at the same time I'd rather not have the big fluffy ones in the house. My dog just watches them, my cat tries to play with them, but even my hubby has been known to get a little squeamish when there are big ones around, and the vaccuum has had to be the hero of the hour more than once... 
I will also admit though, that there is something about the arachnid chic which I find very difficult to bypass when creating costumes at this time of year... Spiderlady time... 

This year, the Spider Lady is the one holding the key to the Garden of Shadows... She sings that most haunting of melodies "Come Little Children" to welcome passers by into her garden, and once there they will never get out again... The garden is the doorway to the Spinner's Crypt - a backdrop from FOXCITY - and the perfect place for the arachnids to dance in the moonlight, weave their silken art and indulge in the delicacies of people that wander in... 
She's decorated, and never lonely, because of the visits from all her little spidey friends. They creep over her skin, escaping from within her... Through holes in her skin - a Virus spread by A.D.D Andel - decorating her body in an outfit of webs...

Dancing to awaken her babies...

October 2nd, a day that for some reason this year although monstrous should be a little bit of a ladylike, girlie kinda day... Now there are lots and lots of pretty monsters we could have gone for, especially these days considering how much of a Monster High fan I am since I first discovered it, but one always stands out to me... Her story of a broken heart, and her magical abilities and the anger that she must have felt at his betrayal, it's a story that is sad but beautiful, and definitely a reason that this gorgon is one of my favourite monsters... 

Standing in the temple, her home away from home, where the flowers are growing to cover the statues of her fallen lovers she dances in the breeze of the petals... Now that she's free, for the Halloween festivities, she's going to make sure she can dance in the sunshine, before she heads back into the dark... Her glittering scales sparkling in the setting sunlight, while the snakes of her hair are slowly starting to awaken... 
On a random side note, and because I'm useless as much as I LOVE my medusa look, the ENTIRE reason that I was inspired to become her today is so small you will need a magnifying glass to see it... I was TOTALLY inspired in this look by the most amazing septum piercing from Six Feet Under, who created the Serpent Septum Nose Ring... Now if you look closely you can see it, but you don't get to see how pretty it actually is, so I've decided to add the store add here too, just to make things a little clearer...

Pick of the Patch

There is a definite change in the season now, things are getting a little more Autumnal and there's a soft chill in the air as the skies get darker earlier and the weather takes a drastic turn... There is a definite shift towards the most wonderful time of the year  AND the most wonderful holiday. I cannot wait until Halloween. I've been doing a few odd jobs here and there to get myself ready for the spooky season... 
One of the most important tasks at this time of year, especially for the magical folks of the world, is making sure that while the colours turn, the pumpkins grow big enough to carve... 

One of my favourite places every season tends to be the land of Moochie, at this time of year it becomes a garden of All Hallows... It's always worth a visit and it makes for a pretty backdrop to take pictures or go for a walk. 
The fairy folk tend to use it as a place to relax while painting the seasons in it's different colours... We all know that I LOVE to hunt down the fae folk and the one I found in the pumpkin patch today is definitely one of the more strikin fae in the woods. Her colours are totally Autumnal, her face decorated with the wings of a Fae Queen - from Clover - whilst her Spectral Butterfly Wings - from Quills & Curiosities - show her dark aura and connection to the upcoming dark holiday!

Flappers Don't Speakeasy

I've been watching old episodes of a TV show that I used to enjoy watching with my Dad on a Sunday evening after dinner before bathtime.. A series of adapted Agatha Christie's of "Poirot", set in the interim between the wars taking place in the 1920s and 1930s... 
It's making me feel a bit nostalgic and definitely feeling a little better, and when I was putting together a picture today to blog, I randomly found myself heading back to the 1920s for a bit of a party... 

The 1920s were a period of rising spirits... The war was over and good times were to come again... It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, there was a prohibition of the making and selling of alcohol. Parties took on a different tone, but that wasn't going to stop some people from having fun... The Flappers - for example - were showing the change in power of women, a sign of rebellion and the happiness of youth after the darkness of the war...
Why don't you get your glad rags on, we're heading to the bar for a glass of Soda, served on Happy Hour Trays - from Junk Food - where if we're very lucky our waitress maybe able to ignore the Speakeasy Signs - from Krescendo at Man Cave until August 11th - and get us something a little stronger to spice up our soda...

A Last Pop Of Pride

Pride month is almost coming to an end, and what a fabulously bright and wonderful Pride Month it has been. I've not had much chance to enjoy the festivities in SL, but I live in Amsterdam and it's such an amazing place to have some rainbow fun... That being said it's been a wonderfully colourful month, and there's still a couple of days to enjoy the show... 

I know that once the month is over, the Pride feeling will not ever go away. It's not just something that's important for the month of June, it's something that should be remember every day all year, and as I've always said it shouldn't matter who you fall in love with, love is the most important thing and it should always be celebrated... 
Plus it's a DAMN GOOD REASON to get myself drenched in rainbows of all different kinds and party a little... Right now I love rainbows so much that I can't even think straight!!!

Monarchs and Sunbeams

I've been thinking about the creepy crawlies lately, and Spiders and Butterflies have both taken the spotlight lately, I have a massive love for butterflies and on trips to the zoo I always feel like my favourite place to see is the butterfly house.... 
So whilst I've been busy working and doing things that make me feel like I am worn out in RL, I've been taking some time to explore and one of my new favourite places happens to be the most gorgeous butterfly filled space I've ever seen in Secondlife... 

The Kaleidoscope is a gorgeous new Monarch Education Project location, created for the purpose of teaching people about the lifecycle, the migration and the habits of Monarch Butterflies. When you arrive, you are taught interesting facts, things like the sad fact that those butterflies start their migration are not the ones that arrive at their final destination as their lifecycle is shorter than their trip... As you follow the path around and down, the trees become the homes for millions of beautiful fire coloured Monarch Butterflies... 
I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of this sim... It is a peaceful and relaxing and serene place to spend time when you want to breathe. 
I can't help myself but join in the butterfly fun... I remembered that Forest Fantasy Store had made the most amazing bodypaints, and with the addition of a gorgeous Belle Epoque outfit and Nymph Circlet - from Six Feet Under at Chronicles & Legends - I became one the Monarchs and started dancing in the sunbeams...

Riding on the Shooting Stars

Stars are a map of the universe and have long been relied upon for many things in many different cultures through-out the ages and the cultures. To see a shooting star can mean that change, luck, fertility and love are on their way - depending on which culture you check - but there's nothing out there that says what riding on a shooting star could do for you. 
As always, and since I could REALLY use a little change and a lot of luck in my life right now, Rudh is going to play guineapig and test this out... 

High up in the Stratosphere - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - so high that if you're lucky you might get to see the hands of the gods, so long as you manage to dodge the shooting stars that zip through the black space. The angels have perfected the art of flying the stars, it couldn't be that hard, really, could it? Wannabe Angel Rudh decided to give it a try. She pulled on a pair of Celestial Shades - from Violetility, which you can also see in the close-up I added below - to protect her eyes from the starry glow, waiting for just the right moment. A star came whizzing past and Rudh jumped on for a Space Ride - an awesome new vehicle from Ananas for Kustom9 - and screamed all the way across the galaxy...

Making Unboxing Videos!

Yesterday I suffered through a TERRIBLE migraine, and when I wasn't laying in the dark, trying to avoid any form of light or noise, I found moments where things eased and I ended up watching random videos, by some of my favourite ladies, on my phone... There are so many that I'm now addicted to, Celina Spookyboo and her sleepwalking antics, Charlotte Dobre and her diss videos, Emmymade and her cookery videos are all winners! Yet the one that's been getting my attention most over the past few days is GraveyardGirl and her awesome unboxing videos...

Who'd have thought that in 2022 we'd be finding pleasure in watching people open packages?! People always said that there would be flying cars in 2020, LOL HOW WRONG WERE THEY? Since 2020, we've been teaching people how to wash their hands and making videos of people on social media unpacking boxes of things they've bought a popular thing. 
Readying myself to take a leap into the unboxing video game, I made sure I had my camera set up and on my recycled, Old Bar - from Krescendo - tables were ready hold all of the amazing packages that I wanted to unpack - all of the boxes are supplied by Atelier Burgundy. I've set up my theme, and yes today's unboxing video will be rainbows and Pride! I'm going to start ripping open these boxes!

Sharing Spring Smiles!

One of the best things about March, other than the fact it's my Birthday Month, is that its the beginning of Spring. Spring is such a wonderful season, the life and color that comes with it after the darkness of the winter. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the darkness, but there's just something about the flowers that spring up in Spring that you cannot help smiling at... 
My garden is over-flowing with flowers, so I've set up a pretty little stall in my market.. I'm not selling them, just giving them to people that would love a little colour in their life... Would you like one?

For some reason I dressed a little like a peasant girl, something akin to Belle in her provincial life before she moves into the palace... The dress is very much giving me Belle vibes, although I'm not sure that's what was in mind when the Gigliola Dress - from Belle Epoque... 
I cobbled this gorgeous Upcycled Market Stall - with a little help from Krescendo - and some magic from a garden gnome that just happened to be a Fairy Godmother... We've decided to spread a little magic and share some beautiful flowers in return for some beautiful flowers... We've got gorgeous, HUGE peonies - that come with the poses from -Extra- at Shiny Shabby - sunny sunflowers, fresh Dutch tulips, and lots of bunches of Springtime blooms... I'm giving them to everyone, all I ask is a smile in return... Would you like a smile today?

Wanna go on a Dark Adventure?

Yesterday was the grand opening of our Halloween event creation...
Dark Adventures was born due to a realization that now that the Gators MC is no more, we would miss the super awesome Halloween events that we'd created for the past 8 years. Creating a new team and getting to work in July with HellBone leading the team, we're now more than a little excited to welcome you, strap you in tight and welcome you on our very first Dark Adventure! 
Pack your bags - don't forget spare underwear, I'm told it's pretty scary - we're leaving on the first plane outta here, a round the world tour awaits!! 

The stewardess is here to collect you at the start of the adventure... Follow your fellow companion, Percy the Pigeon, through the maze of an airport until you make it through and can catch your flight... You'll then go on a round the world tour and it will be the ride of your life!! 
Don't keep this air hostess waiting... She's not one to bring you extra blankets on this ride...

A Nood-cident

Having one of those days where I get home from work and am STARVING. I put some left overs on to re-heat and then took a few minutes to change out of my work clothes into my comfy pyjamas. Grabbing my dinner, I curled up on the sofa and flicked the TV on, to see what I'd watch and it was a show about cookery. A chef cooking the most delicious food, noodle dishes and talking about spice... Now, my left overs were delicious but all I can think about is a cravin for noodles... 

I decided to take a trip to The Apartments, and head to the noodle bar to get myself a bowl of something delicious... Dressing up all pretty - in a dress from Belle Epoque - and dressing up my cute little Pom so he's a PandaPom - from Foxwood - I found myself grabbing some noodles, as she wandered past the delicious smelling stands, she had to stop and get a few other things. Until the accident happened, and she ended up wearing noodles - thanks to Junk Food's delicious releases...

In the Enchanted Hall

In the darkest parts of the woods, if you look carefully, you may be able to find one of the most special doors in the world. It is a door that the Fae Folk use to pass from our world into the fairytale realm... If you time it right, you may even get to see some of the magic folk using the door to visit our world. 
LOOK, LOOK, LOOK... There's one now!!!

The door is known as the Enchanted Hall - a gorgeous backdrop from Paparazzi by the way - is the portal, and randomly I caught sight of this pretty little sprite popping through for a visit... 
She's brought flowers and it seems like she's packed her own lunch, but it was most mesmirising to see how even though she seems enraptured by the pretty flowers, her extra eye seemed to be looking right at me!!!

The Spring brings the Fairies out

Yesterday I did something so weird but this time I started something totally different.. Today I felt like doing something bright and springy... 
Today the Spring Fae popped her head out the door and decided that today would be a great day for showing her face... The sun was slowly warming, but there was still that touch of the end of winter in the air. Flowers are beginning to spring up everywhere, and life seems to be getting sparkly, new and fresh again...  

As she wanders through the gardens, she collects her adorable little friends, the cute little Rabbits and the Hedgehoggie - available from Foxwood - the Winter Moon Garden is beautiful in the early spring light... Collecting flowers and dancing in the light...

Welcome to the Jungle

It's a jungle out there kiddies, everyone is struggling to stay alive right now but sometimes I wish that Darwin's Theory of Evolution would work more for the human race... Seriously, just going to the store today proved to me that there needs to be a reduction of stupid in the human gene pool... Sorry I know that sounds callous, but I cannot stop that thought whenever I go out in public sometimes... 
Although, once again, the thoughts on my mind take me to places that are mirrored in Second Life... Rudh ended up in the jungle... 

In the jungle of Chankanaab, she is going to become one of the woodland sprites... Dancing through the trees and singing with the birds, while her pretty little dragonfly friends - Aether Moths from Astara at the last few days of the Gacha Guild's Sailpunk Event... 
An outfit adorning her frame, fit for a jungle goddess - from Belle Epoque - is gorgeous. Decorated with gold trimmings and butterfly wings...

Hiding in the Catacombs

Did you ever feel like disappearing into the darkness... Hiding in the shadows and never wanting to come out from them. Normally I try to hide my feelings, only letting them out through photography in SL, as a form of therapy but today even my photo seems a little dark just like my mood.. 
Normally the darker my pictures are, the happier I am, but today I feel like disappearing into the shadows... Locking myself into a crypt and appealing to the dark arts... 

At the Ministry of Darkness, you'll find the perfect place... A tomb filled with music and the warm glow of candle light... She's dancing in and out of the shadows, the soft light flickering on the walls around her, the scent of roses in the air, and her only companions are the adorable little spiders that crawl over her skin... 
She's got a little messy, blood trickling down from her impressive throat wound, over the necklace that's made to look like the blood that's leaking... She's dancing in the dark...
