Dancing with the Butterflies on a Spring Breeze

Work was insanely busy today and it will remain like this until after Easter, causing me to get home and have a very strongneed to avoid anyone and everyone until I've had some silence... 
I want to sip away into a different place. A place where I can unfurl my fairy wings and dance on the spring breeze in a sunny meadow to dance with the butterflies... 

There is nothing more in reality than a beautiful floral meadow in the sunshine, as the breezes dance through the grass lifting the scent of the flowers into the breeze... Monsters Go Back To School!!

Kids in my part of the world have all done the dreaded deed and started the new school year. I always loved the start of a new school year, not so much because I was eager to be back at school but because I was excited about things like getting new stationary, a new bag and new shoes to impress my friends, and make the others jealous. I was also a bit of a geek, so I never had a problem with school and the classes I chose, especially in my senior years when I had my chosen electives... 
I should also admit that I have a bit of an obsession with the cartoon 'Monster High', and any time I think of school now, I wish that I'd been able to be a student there!! All the students being the children of the monsters, I think I could definitely fit in... Let's all head to Monster High to start the school year...

The Last Farewell of the Snow Fairy Queen

Yesterday, in the Netherlands, though in other places too, we had a snow storm,,, We woke up to a few inches of snow and it's gotten so cold, my fingers and toes are numb. The weather is slowly turning back towards a Spring normal today too, sun shine and the temperature is warming up again, albeit slowly... I'm beginning to wonder if it wasn't our friendly Spring Fairy - that made an appearance here over the past few years - popping back in to say hello before she disappears for her Summer Nap... 

She's disappearing towards Echo Ridge, where the last of the snow clings to the ground, as she's taking her last stroll through the woodland before finding a comfortable place to slumber. 
This fairy Ice Queen is looking a little worse for wear, as her skin is starting to show signs of frostbite that never normally affects her. Her ice outfit - from Antaya - is slowly beginning to melt, everything but her crown-like mask is slowly fading away to nothing...

The Sea Witch got the Trident!

 Everyone may have realised by now that I have a bit of a love of Mermaids... I always wanted to be Ariel as I was a kid, and now I realise I'd have much more fun in Ursula's body... Who wouldn't wanna be an evil undersea witch?! 
I'd be the kinda seawitch that hides in a dark little cave with my monsterous tentacles draining the life out of the brave little fishies that swim by to create an army of ghost fish hehe... 

After all, Hentai Fair is running and there are just SO MANY TENTACLES that a girl cannot help but let the monster in the cave come to life... I'm so loving being in touch, and letting out, my dark side at the moment, it's definitely helping me to make happy pictures that bring a smile to my face. It's definitely the me that I feel most comfortable in, and I often do things that are a little kookie, weird and all-round weird... I love it that way, it makes me smile and that's the entire reason I play this way!
Today I decided to get all dolled up for a night on the town, in a monstrous way... 

Frankenstein and his wife never did fully understand why they were considered monsters, they were just trying to live their best possible lives, and it was the pesky humans that got in their way!

Rollin' with the Dogs

A day of chores, as best I can, since I'm not allowed to do too much just yet, can be a bit of a bore... I always have to have some loud happy music to dance around to - though as I found out dancing can cause a little pain at the moment - and I'm lucky that I have my fur babies here to talk to as I do it... I'm a little like Cinderella talking to the mice, only my mice are my dog and cat LOL... 
There is one chore that I love to do... Taking my Doggy for a walk in the sunshine is always fun!

I'm having to be a little careful while I do it though, so I came up with a brainwave of an idea... While trying on new things that I'd bought recently, I re-discovered these amazing Jessie Rollerskates from N-Core, and well, while I'm healing and can't do too much strenuous stuff, why walk when I can roll?! 
That in itself could be a little bit of a dangerous idea, you never know when I will wipe out, and I KNOW ME, I will wipe out LOL... Let's just pretend I like to live dangerously LOL...

I'll take a Frappucino and the Barista Please?

So for a lazy Sunday I did a few chores, got a few photos ready to post at a later date and then decided to have a little me time... I am one of those people that loves going to a coffee house, on my own, with a good book and sitting to have a nice cup of fancy coffee that I couldn't make myself at home! One of those fancy frappucinos with LOTS of whipped cream!
Heading out in search of coffee I wound up at the gorgeous little Burrow Coffee Co coffee bar, and found that it's not just the coffee that is delicious here... 

They have a very delicious looking barista too... He looks strangely familiar, and he makes a damn good cup of coffee. Wasn't sure which was more delicious the coffee or the maker of it! Geez if Jason Momoa started selling coffee I know where I'd be going EVERY TIME I needed a hit of caffeine lol... 
Luckily while I was getting ready for going out for coffee I decided to wear an adorable new outfit from the hunt that is being held at Witchwood - the home of Petite Mort and Oubliette. Date Night with Teddy!

I feel like I've been being good for far too long... I'll be honest, I wanted to test to see what different types of photos could do in terms of bringing in interest from followers on Flickr, but it feels a little like I'm not being overly true to myself and my form of therapy so it's back to doing whatever I want to do to make myself smile... TODAY, it's something a little naughty, though the smile will come from the fact that I know pictures like this make my Daddy reach for his gun - not to shoot anyone that looks at me, but more likely to shoot me for giving him a panic attack LOL! 

I had some playtime locked in a room on my own! Who needs someone to play with when a girl has her two favourite toys with her! Trusty teddy and his big sausage friend! He's not the kind of toy I can have out if friends bring their children around, I have to hide him from my parents too, but he's the best kind of toy when I'm alone in the dark at night - if you want one, you can't have mine, you'll need to get your own and to do so you need to head to La Baguette!

My Mom's a Queen, I must be a Princess!

My SL Mom - Louisa Zorric - is always sharing pictures on her facebook page that boost confidence and tell us girls - guys too - to live like Queens - although Kings can be used as a more appropriate term for some of the guys out there hehe! She talks of empowerment, and confidence, and supporting others rather than tearing them down, and since I have known her she's been all of those things to me! My SL Mommas are both Queens, and I guess that would make me a Princess?! I never feel strong or confident enough to be a Queen, but with royal mommas that can only mean one thing! I've finally reached my goal of becoming a Disney Princess - only with a little less Disney and a lot more Fiesty, Sarcastic, Brattishness!

Since the realization that I can officially call myself a Princess, I will be taking up residence in a luxurious palace and wearing jewels for the vast majority of my time now! 
I'll decorate my abode with the finest Lux Items - a gacha collection from Oubliette is perfect, if you are lucky to win the pieces at the current round of Gachaland that runs until July 31st - just look at all of those opulent textures and royal colours. Melora - of Oubliette - has outdone herself with this set, the textures and designs are ab-so-fucking-lutely gorgeous, and for someone who normally avoids purple like the plague I was drawn to it today all because of this furniture!!

To The Beach

So today my RL parents left me after their albeit brief but busy visit, and I'm at that point of feeling a little lost and drained. What do I do in times like this? I turn to SL and look for a fun, and random, distraction and well, what better distraction than going to a beach to cool down on a warm Summers day. 
I hate being hot in the summer, as a RL big girl it's not a nice feeling, BUT in SL stripping off and heading to The Beach is something that I'm more than happy to do... 

Especially if I have a cute friend too, that I can ride the tide with!!
The bikini I chose to wear today is one from the Rally to Rescue, it's available from Sass - the event will be closing in the next two days, so you have a little bit more time to get in and shop and raise some money for Pitbulls and other animal rescues.

Dragon Eggs for an Elven King

Sundays are a magical time... The time of the week when it's still the weekend and it can be as much of a lazy day as you want it to be, but also there's that dread in the back of your mind as work looms on the horizon. 
It's days like today when my mind slips into a fantasy place, and I start day dreaming... Today my dreams take me to a mystical elven kingdom, where the pretty elf maidens are in the process of preparing a delicious brunchfast for their elven king... On the menu this morning, freshly procured dragon eggs... 

The elven warriors were sent on a mission to reclaim the White Gems of Lasgalen - yes it's a Hobbit reference, if you have no idea look it up LOL - but although the Dragon kept all of his precious hoard on this day, the warriors were lucky to escape with both their lives, and a delicacy fit for their king. Dragon Eggs are the BackBone of the Elven Speciality Delicacies, especially when the king has them brought to him by one of his scantily clad beauties.
For those of you wondering by the way, the outfit is actually a dress by Fetch - which I had to add my own panties to, just in case you're a little shy - called Sarella Gown, that I chose to wear with some Lassitude & Ennui Zornhau Boots. Washing the Dogs before I Rally to Rescue

Today is the opening of the Rally to Rescue. An event, being run by our dear allies the Ghost Bullys MC, that will be aiming to raise awareness and donations for animal charities... A team of fab designers have joined forces to provide donations, and Racey - GBMC President and my kick butt Sister - has been working her butt off to ensure that this will be a brilliant event! 
I'm excited to be a part of the team, there's some good stuff that is worth sharing with everyone that is even the tiniest bit interested, but before all the fun starts there are a few important things I need to do... WASHING THE DOG is one of them... I mean the event is about our furry friends, they have to look the part right?! Stars of the show and all that jazz... 

Outside our old "Brownstone" - a backdrop from Image Essentials - with HellBone's new "Rescue" Bike parked in the front, as I set out the TOUCH MIA Puppy Love Bath set and dumped the dog into the suds. Hell's bike didn't stay shiny, new and clean for too long, the dog wouldn't sit still... The water went EVERYWHERE...

Casting of a Spell...

It's time to cast a few magic spells... Someone has to do something to get Flickr working more efficiently again... I need my hourly boredom fixer lol, need to be able to scroll through the pictures whilst drinking coffee, need it to work so I can upload my addictions to the internet LOL... SOMEONE has to make it work better, and so I'm going to cast whatever spells I can get my hands on to make it work...

For some reason the magic books I had, all tell me that I need to be in the middle of a graveyard to get the spells to work. I must admit that I was feeling more than a little pessimistic about it all, but I did exactly as the spell told me. 
Find the Graverobber hat from the Reliquary - it should be available to you at the ECLIPSE - and then while wearing the hat cast the spell... I did that, no problem... It caused my eyes to itch, and I'm pretty sure there was something weird going on... A Zibska Flux - as I was told later causes the eye to leak glittery magic?! 
As soon as it had started, and the glowing orange ball that captivated me to gaze into the flames appeared, it was gone... Did it work? Was the stress of a broken Flickr over?!

Fairy in the Giant's Garden

I'm feeling in a bit of a fantasy, fairytale kinda mood today. Maybe it's because it's my day off but I'm kinda happy and feeling like I want to dance around all day, like a happy little fairy!
Rudh found herself going exploring a little today, wandering through the garden of giants, a feeling which was emphasized by the fact that I wanted to wear fairy wings and look pretty... 
I found an adorable little sunny spot in the corner of the garden, snuggled into the flower pot and sat enjoying the warming rays of the sun... 

The sunflower pot seat is one of my new favourite Garden furnishing items... Normally my Garden is a bit more of a realistic farm style, but I couldn't resist this chair. It's a Violetility "Potted Chair" - which is available until the end of today for Palette, but should hopefully go back to a normal release price once the event is over. 
Of course, it brought out the inner Fairy in me, and well, any excuse for a game of dress up hehe...

She waits for her King...

HellBone is due home today... So I find myself standing around waiting on his return, not so much like the happy wife to have her hubby back home but more pensively enjoying the calm before the storm lol... I also heard somewhere that the end of Game of Thrones is soon, and even though I've never seen an episode, somehow today's picture had - I've been told - an air of GoT about it! 
Still if that's the case, Queen Rudh is ready in waiting for her "King's" return... 

On the night of the Eclipse, HellBone is returning to the arms of his Queen - not sure if it will be a warm welcome, it depends on how much laundry he has for her to do lol - but she watches out of the window and waits, knowing the sound of a roaring motorbike engine will announce his return long before she can see him...
This post was actually majorly inspired because of the cape... It was ALL about the cape, which is an ECLIPSE release from egosumaii - or {aii}. The Mortal Harvest Mantle is decorated with skulls, and comes with neat or ripped versions - the ripped being shown here - it's totally gorgeous. One of my favourite ever ECLIPSE releases, and I was so happy that I could show it off to you.

Packing is far harder for me than it should be. Some people make lists and are very sensible, others just stuff everything and anything into their suitcase, but even with both these options I ALWAYS find it hard to focus and end up getting distracted! Even right now I walked away from a half packed suitcase because Blogging is far more interesting and a lot less stressful! 
Sometimes though it seems to be so difficult, I'm sure I'd have an easier time herding baby dinos!!!

LOL so much so that, that was exactly what I forced Rudh into doing!!! She set up a camp in the middle of the swamp - the camp is actually an awesome new release from DRD called "Wasteland Grub Hub", which you can get your hands on now until April 30th at Eclipse - and pretty soon the smells of all kinds of good foods cooking soon lured in the babies! 
Those little Dinos were pretty difficult to handle, looks like Rudh got clawed up more than she bargained for while she was unpacking her Dino Camp Care Package - from Junk Food - having to win these babies over with the temptation of some fresh juicy steaks! 
I guess getting back to the packing is a good idea, and I'm suddenly reminded I need band aids!!! LOL!

Pain in My Eyes

I sat down to write a blog post over two hours ago now... My Husband is being really distracting - he's got this bad habit of knowing EXACTLY when I want to concentrate on something and then chooses that moment to demand my attention. It's the source of my biggest frustrations with him - he's STILL doing it even now! I'm trying to tune him out - that's it HEADPHONES ON! 
It's been one of those days, when everything is frustrating the crap out of me. I've not had enough sleep, I kept cutting myself at work and I just want to run away and hide. I plan on doing that very soon, but the feeling is matched so closely in the way Rudh is feeling today too... 

Thanks to the ECLIPSE, she's on edge - pissy if you will - and she's in the mood for stabbing someone. She's already been in more than one fight it seems if her huge black eye and multiple scratches are anything to go by?! 
The scratch marks on her chest are an ECLIPSE release from VAIN - called The Claw Scars - and it makes me wonder if they were caused when she put up a fight about the collar she's now wearing? These SpookShow Collars - and in fact the Septum Piercing too - look pretty fierce really, they seem to be a perfect compliment to her mood! 
Though I want to draw attention to something little here... Take a look into my eyes... They give you a message! I might be pissed off but there's a message there, a call for help or an SOS if you will... I love these eyes and the fact that they send some very good messages! The eyes are the ECLIPSE release from duckie, and YES OK they are a bit on the hard to see side, but I'll be good and add a copy of the eye ad for your perusal!

Over-Thinking Causes My Fears!

Ever have those days where your inner voice is screaming louder than normal, especially screaming about those faults you find in yourself?! Anxiety, Regret, Stress, Pain and Depression seem to be a fairly common thing these days, and although by no means I am dismissing this, it really does show a sign of our times. I myself suffer from anxiety attacks, massive amounts of stress and a feeling that I'm never going to be good enough. Luckily, unlike some, I am able to keep it in check most of the time, and I've gotten very good at hiding it from the world, but there are just some days when these feelings bubble to the surface... Days a little like today... 

It's times like these that I feel really thankful for being able to log into Second Life, so that I can drift off into my own little world and find my therapy. The therapy in question for me is taking pictures and writing here. My blog - although often full of fun and random stuff - has always been something like a journal for me. I use it to help me relax, to make me forget the world around me and focus on something productive. On days like today, this blogging space is vital for me! 
Now I know that the pose and backdrop I've chosen for this post today may seem a little counter-productive for the message that I am trying to share, BUT actually the visual of it is really helping me. The backdrop - created by FOXCITY - really speaks to me. I know I over-think things, and comments like these will ALWAYS leave me floundering, my brain rushing to the most extreme scenario! The pose - from Reve Obscura - is such a true statement. My fears always cause the outcomes of anxiety, stress and in some cases bouts of depression! I will fully admit to this... I know what triggers these things but I am often powerless to stop it. Yet it's times like this, when I can sit back and channel my energy into my blogging journal that things become clear and sense can be made of it in my head. 
Again, I will say that this does not diminish the way that others may feel. I am not saying it's a good thing for everyone, and not suggesting that my own thoughts are worse than anyone else's. That's not the point I want to make here... This works for ME, we all have our own systems of handling things. I don't really do this for anyone besides myself, but I do want to spend a moment to reach out to anyone that ever reads my blog or checks out my pictures to say THANK YOU! Thank you for being on the ride with me, thank you for letting me express myself, and I hope that even if it's just for a second or two it can make you feel happy... I know it makes me happy!

Popular at School

Now that I'm a grown up, one of the things that I find I miss most is the days when things were simple and all I had to worry about was school. I will fully admit that I was a kid that loved school, I wasn't the smartest or most popular, and I definitely wasn't one of the most sporty kids, but all that aside I LOVED school. I loved learning and if I had the chance I'd be heading back to University to take a Masters degree! 
In England, we had to wear school uniforms and I was always a little jealous of Americans that were able to wear their own clothes. Whenever Rudh feels like going to school she has that privilege, no icky uniforms for her, and when she goes she's little miss popular!

New Desks Bloom in the Spring

It's been a while now but I LOVE my new computer and I cannot count my lucky stars enough for how lucky I am to have it. Touch wood it stays this way for a while and I can get all the pretties out of it that I want. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it... 
In SL, I wanted to find a cute PC for myself to make me feel better as a tool in my Blogging office at home, and I think that I've finally found it. It's cute, just like the way I try to be in SL... 

The desk is actually a brand new release for the new round of Bloom. Bloom is a pretty springtime seasonal event full of lots of fresh new happiness...
