The Engine Room's Magical Carni

Once again you might be able to guess that I have had a day off today because when I am free I tend to get creatively creative LOL... I find a sparkle and something just magically clicks and magic seems to happen... 
Today while I was trying to find a little creativity, I met another of the Engine Room's interesting characters and she wanted to come and meet you... 

She decided to meet us on the bridge of the Everlasting Story - a backdrop from K&S - she posed in the moonlight as she danced in the moonlight, conjuring up a little more magic while the power of the Engine Room thrummed through Second Life... 
She's a magical carnival fate, jokes and medieval magic seep from her pores to allow her access to the mysteries of the universe...

Send in the Clowns

You know how you can tell when I have days normally, because my pictures tend to be a little more of the crazy and wild and adventurous. I have had such a productive day today and managed to take so many pictures so that I am prepared and ready whenever the blogging desire takes me... 
Today was a special day, I started putting things on and randomly... BOOM I was lost in a magical world of wonder, chaos and entertainment... Today, somehow I ended up being swept away to the Circus... 

I know it's weird but I always end up thinking of horror when I think of the circus, I guess it's something to do with IT and a dislike of clowns but then again there is another side to the circus that is sparkle and glamour and glitz... The tight-rope walker, the lion tamer, the trapeeze artist and the ringmaster, it's not all creepy clowns and horrible pranks... 
So today I'm in the Big Top - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - trying to decide if I want to go down my usual route of a horror circus with the Circus Rot clown twins, or head to somewhere sparkly for a carnival style celebration...

Magic and Mirages

After a lovely long day off, I've decided to just take life slowly for a few days... Work and living in this camping place - it's not camping but it feels like I'm living in a holiday home - are beginning to grind on me... I don't like it here, I HATE living somewhere there is little to no privacy during the day, and I am clinging to the sanctity of when the shop shuts... During the day, I find myself hiding out, day dreaming and willing the time away so that I can do chores I need to do... 

While I was lazing today, I spent a lot of time reading books... I can't deny that I'm not minding too much with the relaxing that I'm being forced to do lol... It's definitely making my mind wander to far off places as I lose my mind in the fantasy of my books. 
Today, I was lost in a world of something similar to Aladdin's Arabian Nights. I think that for some reason I let my mind drift into that place because I put on a pair of flats in the new Bloom Set - created by The Kiwi Co - and although there's no jeans in Aladdin, I just let my mind drift... It didn't help that I picked up a Genie's Lamp from the table, I was still shocked to see a Genie appear... It all lead to a little imagination and a Mirage of Marrakesh...

Wandering into Wonderland

Honestly I'm OVER Valentine's already but wanted to do something with hearts and flowers and a little cuteness to at least try and stay with the romantic feels... I spent a long time dreaming of what I could do that would make me smile and feel a little less grumpy than I have been and I seem to have drifted off into a dream land... When I woke up I was drifting into a magical place, a Wonderland of my own... 

The mirror in my room, started to get a little hazy, there was a certain amount of magic that seemed to be floating through the mirror and so I decided to let it see where it would take me and what wonderful things would happen... The mirror's reflection drew me in, as I got close it started to change, and before I knew it, I was stepping through into Wonderland... 
As I stepped through, the mirrors magic dressed me for the part, an outfit fit for Lewis Carroll himself and most wonderfully weird and wonderful imaginings...

Rituals for Salvage and Enchantment

Today has been a day off for me, and you can tell that it's been a day off because I've had a chance to get very creative and make something magical when it comes to blogging... Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of the things that I share here but there are some days when I feel like the magic is just that little more magical... 
It's getting magically cold, some might say somewhat Frostbitten and more than a little salvaged... Magically cold and collected from salvaged things... 

A Frozen Ritualist - which is actually the name of the tattoo from AURO, that you can get your hands on at the Frostbitten Enchantment Graveyard - was performing a Ritual - in a backdrop from FOXCITY - involving a mirror and a very large Tsarknife - from FOE, available now at Salvage Station - but ended up getting herself Possessed... Boken glass from the mirror went everywhere, including being embedded into her chest... Luckily she's magical and can withstand the pain...

Here come the Clowns...

I have said before that there are various things I require every Halloween for it to feel like a good Halloween... One of those was spiders, another of those happens to be clowns... I know that some people HATE clows, and I am of the opinion that so long as they aren't the type to lurk on street corners and threaten to kill me I can just ignore them... For me though, the Halloween spookies wouldn't be the same without a trip to see the clowns... 

At the circus of Forgotten Laughs - which happens to be a backdrop by The Bearded Guy - where the clowns are somewhat familiar - mostly because they are some of my favourite toys in my inventory to play with every year - but more than a little creepy looking, they have a new female face this year... 
She's one of the Insane Harlequinn types, dressed in the Natalie - a gorgeous combination outfit that comes from AsteroidBox but sold separately, the top and jacket at Equal10 and the pants at Collabor88 - leather set that is both comfortable and easy clean when she assists the other clowns in their murder spree...

Magic Beyond the Mirror!

I feel like I needed a little magic in my life today and whilst I was still waking up, I had a notecard come through that one of my bucket list stores had accepted me into their blogger team... I was elated and it's the magic I needed... I feel like I woke up from a slumber and the sparkling light allowed me to break free into the magical depths of my mind where the deepest and best magic resides... 

While tidying up some of the mess in my inventory, to distract myself from my mind, I found myself in a Forgotton Room - which is actually a backdrop from Dirty Rat - looking into a beautiful old mirror that without even the touch of a breath very quickly became a Broken Mirror - a gorgeous item from Moon Amore - that pulled me through it's broken glass to another world full of light and magic...

An Egyptian Goddess, Wadjet!

I woke up this morning feeling too hot and bothered, it was too early to get out of bed but I couldn't bare the thought of just laying there and stewing in my own headachy blahness... It lead to me being weirdly creative... 
It lead to my mind disappearing to a faraway land and a time long ago, and where the magic of the old gods could be felt within the desert sands walls... To a Bright and Magical Luxor Night... 

We know so much of the magic that went along with the stories of the Egyptian Gods but there are some that are more famous than others. Whilst on our trip together today, we have come across the beautiful goddess Wadjet - although this is more like my Monster High kinda version probably - who was revered as a protector of kings of the ower kingdom... She and her cobra head were seen as a symbol of protection and sovereignty, apparently...
Our Monster High styled version of Wadjet, seems a little more disgruntled at yet more statues of the senior gods, where the heck was the new one she'd been promised... She's a Naga Vaelric - a release from BeSpoke that can still be grabbed today at the Vintage Fair but it closes on the 16th so maybe you'll have to head to the mainstore - and she deserves to have EgyptianTales told...

Death's Guiding Light

I am currently reading a book that seems to be affecting my moods, and although I'm loving it, Sinner's Sideshow is definitely a place for the dark, kinky and demonic... It's definitely my happy place at the moment, and you may well have realised by now that the darker and more fantasy based I get, the happier I tend to be, so my book is kinda sorta almost reflected in my blog today... I mean Death is a character, NOTHING like I've made death look but ya know... he was on my mind lol... 

My interpretation of Death is one totally removed from the Four Horsemen of the book I'm reading - which by the way is a smut filled story called Carnival Creeps by Aiden Pierce, and is very good but I really suggest you read the Circus Creeps before you try this one or you will get very lost - as in this story he is a big chiselled and muscular warrior ManDragon, but one that is having a relationship with Famine... Whilst my version of Death is much more feminine, magical and lead by thie light that guides her... 
She is bound and chained as she stalks through the darkness, searching for lost souls that are drawn to her like a Moth and Flame - the candle she is carrying is a Moth and Flame from Boutique #187, available until June 11th at SABBATH by the way - so she can reap their souls with her magical Reaper Scythe...

Planet Aysa Creama

I'm loving having time off work and I've not even left for my vacation yet, all that happens tomorrow, and today I've just been busying myself getting all ready to go... 
We've had dinner and my hubby has told me that there is Ice Cream in the freezer for dessert... Now all I can think about is Ice Cream...

Magically Bird Brained

It is time... Finally it is time... I AM ON VACATION!!!! I have a few days in the Netherlands to get some stuff done but on Wednesday I leave and I'm travelling to see my parents again... For now though I feel a little magical, though that could be the crazy busy day I've had and all of the cold medicine, but let's just go with the magic... 

There are still many magical beings in SL, visiting whilst the Midnight Order is still in town. It's here for a few days longer yet, but they are beginning to prepare for a trip to another time and place... 
The mistress of crows is waiting in the clock tower for the Glassed Crow - which grows within the mind of it's mistress and is actually a release from Tardfish - is getting excited... Some might call her bird brained, but when he's excited something magical is about to happen...

A Different Kind of Snow Angel

I love being creative when I'm taking pictures... Today I found out that someone is running a 52 weeks of Aesthetics challenge, and I feel like that's something I might lend my hand at to try, due to my schedule I'm not sure it will happen within the 52 weeks but that's a discussion for another post. 
It did leave me wondering what is my own personal Aesthetic when it comes to my blog. I always felt llike a crazy mixed up mess of randomness, sometimes I'm a walking rainbow sparkle mess, other times I'm dark and deadly... More often than not I'm some kind of fairytale, magical, enchantment... 

I LOVE being a magical fairytale being... Fairies and Mermaids and Angels, anything that comes connected to magic and sparkles and with a story of it's own... 
This time of year, the frosty cold folk are the ones that become most predominant... The fae dance in the snow flurries, the mer shiver beneath the waves, and the angels freeze their tears to let them drift down to earth. I guess that I'd heard about a possible cold spell coming and my mind went to the possibility that the angels are blanketing parts of the Earth in snow as a way to bring peace... A little magic and peace would be a wonderful thing right now...

A New Year of Magic

Still early days for the new year and still very early days for me beig back to blogging after the Christmas period...
I lost a sponsor today, someone that I have been working with since 2019. I feel like the reason was something that could have been told to me sooner, something that I would have been able to improve on, but apparently I wasn't worth the effort to them... So I'm going to find my own magic now, and move off to bigger and better things... Loyalty and consistancy mean nothing, people claim SL Blogging isn't a numbers game yet the magic seems lacking somewhat... I know my style isn't for everyone, I know I don't get the numbers that some people do, but I put all of my love and magic into my little art pieces... I love what I create... 

If people aren't appreciative of your magic, are they really worthy of your time? Granted my magical creations are all over the place and I will never be one of those bloggers that can just do a basic pose - there are thousands out there if that's what you want, and I'm not knocking anyone's creations when I say that by the way, we all have our own preferences - but I like to tell a story, create a little sparkle and if others enjoy what I do then that makes me happy... I create my pictures, my little magical sparkles, as a form of therapy... 
I'll stand in my tower, creating my magic and letting everything sparkle...

A Mermaid's Garden

I went out on our annual work team outing last night and I'm a little tired today, but it was funny... The one thing I found myself coming up with one idea, and one idea only that wouldn't budge was something a little fishy... We had Sushi for dinner, so I had to get my Mermaid on, although this time, I went a little more monstermer than I ever have before... 

A monstermer deserves a little time in the limelight too, they aren't al Ariel wannabes down there under the sea, but that doesn't make them any less gorgeous...

Geometrics and Bubbles!

My last post was a ittle morose and I am sorry to anyone that I may have brought down with my unhappy ramblings... Today I was boosted from my feelings of meh by a chance coversation caused by my rambling space and therefore not only did I realise that my therapeutic ramblings help me, they do in fact provide entertainment to others a little bit too... It deftinitely made me feel better and made me feel like today I needed to do something random, sparkly and crazed... 

I dunno why the most random of pictures always makes me feel the happiest, and most alive... I wanted bright and colourful, I wanted something neon and colourful, I wanted colours... I filled my screen with Geometric Light Tiles - a release that has come from the great minds at MadPea, and is still available until November 24th at LEVEL - and brightness that made me feel like I was exploring a magical place like Oz... Maybe it's due to my social media being filled with Wicked stuff, but today was all about the green... Can't have been helped that my Witch Tumbler - from Boutique #187 at SABBATH now - was also a green witch theme and the bubbles were so bubbly they were floating away in the breeze...

Lumiere Obscura & the Cutie Candles

The Halloween magic has gone already and I'm feeling a little bereft, I didn't do much of ANY Halloweening this year, and I'm kinda sad about that... That doesn't mean the magic is totally gone though, there's always going to be some sparkly magic to lighten up the darkest of wintery nights... Sparkles can magic can be found everywhere, they are hiding out waiting to dance into the Christmas lights...

Soon the fae folk will make everything sparkle, but they haven't totally disappeared... I went in search of one today, I needed to see something a little magical, and it wasn't long until I spotted something flitting around the chandeliers of the Belle Ballroom - a backdrop by Synnergy.Tavis by the way - looking more closely it was somethings... A Candelier Fae and her Cutie Candles - from MishMish - that flitted around on magically borrowed wings... The Lumiere Obscura - a Headpiece and Outfit Set that was released by Moon Amore for October's Collabor88 - Fae is waiting amongst the glittering crystals of the chandeliers waiting until she's allowed to start lighting the candles of Christmas...

Chronos Aeterna and her Hexaclaws

 I'm sticking with the magic and heading into another fantasy realm today, one where the sands of time are bringing on the darkest of notions, luring in the spirits of death in preparation for next month's creepy events... 
The magical spirits cannot contain their excitment...The preparations are going smoothly... Magic is being gathered, prepared and protected... There are spooky sensations in the air...

In the Dark Arena temple of Chronos Aeterna - an outfit set by MoonAmore, at Engine Room - our little goddess of the hourglass sands consults the fates via the use of her Chronomancer's Astrolabe - from Quills & Curiosities - and prepares to spread more sand by cutting into the hourglasses with the Robin Daggers of time... The escaping of the hourglass sands is always a lure for the Hexclaw Felines - a gorgeously magical kitty release from Aardvark for Engine Room - these beasts are feasting on the magic that drifts in the air, a warning for the people that death is on it's way...

Rainbow Space Race

Holidays seem to bring out the best in my mood... I've only "officially" been on holiday since this morning, but my boss got home and we did a hand over and NOW I CAN FINALLY RELAX... 
It's bringing out the bright, sparkly, colourful, vibrance in me. It may be freaking hot here at the moment, but it's going to be a lovely few days and then on Wednesday I'm leaving to see my parents... I CANNOT WAIT!!! 
Until then I'm letting the colourful, sparkles take their hold on me and we're heding toward the finish line of being stuck doing work-like things... 

 

So yes, the colourfulness in me has burst out in a shower of rainbow sparkles and magic... I felt giddy as I saw the finish-line in the intergalatci race between the rainbow lit planets - the collection is actually from the Space Splashdown set, created by MadPea for the current round of equal10, and is perfect for a summery space party...
A race like this was bound to be won by the space babe, and even though she HATES Aliens, today she's been accompanied her favourite Fuzzy Noodles - from Sakura - but even though she made it to the finish line, our space babe missed the rocket as it launched to the next planet in the space race...

Cuties in the Mermaid Cove

I am in a playful mood today... I cannot trll you why, I'm not really sure myself, but sometimes a fun fancy dress costume and it lead me to the happiest and most under-the-sea, today though I'm not going to be alone under the sea... Today there is a welcoming party taking place for my jellyfish style... 

I've gone from being a little mermaid, and I've been a little sea witch like Ursula, but today I'm doing something a little jelly-licious... Jelly is fun to wiggle but those jellyfish often come with a zing in their step... They are electrofying... Their electric energy brings all the adorable little sea critters out to play... There are Shoals of Fish, Starfish, Clams, and Crabs - all of which are available at MishMish - and even the rare little rainbow Flapjack Octopus and his friends - a release from Aardvark, available until August 8th at ACCESS by the way - have been brought out to play in the Mermaid Cove...

Fishy Fun!

I felt like doing something a little random today, I am Rudh of the Random Ramblings after all and since yesterday I've been feeling like my body is just giving up, now that the stress is over... My cold is back with vengence, my back and legs ache, and OH I had a visit from mother nature. 
Right now, I want to distract myself with something a little random... Today we're going to let things get a little fishy... 

Have you ever found yourself looking at something in a shopping event and thinking, "Ooh I didn't know I needed one of those but now I can't live without it?!" That was the reason that I ended playing with the fishies today. The mermaid in me, NEEDED this... The Bigger fishies fit into the Dreamy Pond Bubbles that magically follow me when I walk, the smaller ones seem to slip through the bubble!
