Halloween Moon Rising

That's it... September has almost ended, someone get the kettle on as it's time to wake Green Day and I'm sure they will want a cuppa like I do when I wake up... This can only mean ONE thing though, HALLOWEEN IS COMING... The Witching Month starts tomorrow and this is NOT a drill people, it's time to get a little spooky! YAY for Spooky time!!!!

A day off, but I'm still kinda on tender hooks as I worry about will work things be ok while I'm not at work LOL... I'm nervous, but I have to get myself past this and let my mind relax properly...

A Midnight Battle Order

Well, that's it, my holiday is over and now I guess there has to be something to look forwards to but what... I think for now I'm just going to be avoiding the hot weather and wanting to have the Halloween season start... HellBone and I aren't sure if we will be working on something Halloweeny this year but it's still possible even though we have much to do for it and I'm going to be insanely busy while my boss is away... What can I look forward to now?! 

While I've been away in RL, Rudh has been the excited little weirdo that she is because the magic has swept over Second Life since Midnight Order has opened it's doors. I'm a little late for the grand opening this round but there is SO MUCH in the way of pretties coming from the vendors that I hope being late won't be a problem... 
Right now, before I get to live a little more in the Midnight Magic, I'm going to have to prepare myself for going back to work - and I have a hell of a shite shift tomorrow - I'm getting ready for battle... A Hangry Panda!

What do you do when you cannot plan on what you want to do for dinner? I torture myself every night with this question, and I KNOW it's hard when you are on your own but it feels just as hard when your partner says "I don't know, surprise me?" That answer makes me want to slap him... 
Try as hard as I might to be good and plan to cook something, or get the hubby to cook something since he seems to enjoy cooking, sometimes I cannot be arsed, and pull up the delivery app... Pizza, Ribs, Curry, Sushi, all of those things are delicious, but a Chinese meal seems to hit different...

I mean I LOVE SUSHI or a Curry, but noodles always seem to hit better when they are cooked at the take-away... Things are different here in Holland than they are in the UK, and when I go home next week I am hoping I'll get my hands on some sweet and sour chicken balls LOL, but until then I'm biding my time and just dreaming of Chinese food...

The Stance of a Gladiator

The heat is on and I'm going into battle to fight the monsters that are too hot, too sweaty and too drowsy... There are so many things wrong with being in temperatures this hot, especially since the home I have has no way of cooling off, and all of the heat is trapped inside... 
I'm going to fight... Im going to dive in and handle the heat in the same fighting spirit as the Roman Gladiators... 

I never really found the interest in Roman Archaeology when I was studying Archaeology at university and in fact any time since. My reason is that we know SO MUCH about them, they left written accounts of their daily life so there is little room for speculation, unlike the Dark Ages... 
The Gladiators knew how to fight though, many were not military trained, and perhaps that was the key to their popularity. They were able to fight in ways that most people couldn't... They were made to kick ass, and the best were like the footballers of today...

Apocalyptic Chic!

Tomorrow is King's Day, it's a very important day in the Netherlands and I've spoken about it before but will definitely be talking about it tomorrow too... For now though, it's King's Night and already the place seems to be going crazy... I love seeing the people having fun, but I hate the disrespect and almost fighting attitude that some people seem to be having... Can't this be about fun and freedom, not fighting like it's the start of the Apocalypse... 

There is something about Apocalyptic Chic, the ripped fabric, the metals and wearing bullets as an accessory... I've never even seen a gun in real life, air rifles aside, but in Second Life I seem to use them kinda often... I don't know what I'd do with a real gun, I'd probably be shaking to much to be able to put anything to use... I mean, thinking about it, I don't think I'd be much help in the Apocalypse, but I KNOW I'd at least look good while thing were burning down around me...

Getting Dirty

It's been a busy few days since I've been back in the Netherlands but that may be because I've been back at work and it's been crazy busy... The high season is coming and people seem to be making an appearance within the city... I'm tired and sore but my mind is happy that I was able to get back to work, AND that tomorrow I get to have a lovely day off... 

I love my job, sometimes it's hard work but it's a job that has lovely colleagues and a usually happy public that I can entertain... Sometimes I want to murder a few people, and there are always people that think they know better but it's job that I go out and do, that pays my bills, gets me to meet a variety of random and interesting people and COME ONE, it's CHEESE!! Rudh likes getting dirty in other ways, but even she needs to admit that sometimes it's good getting her hands dirty...

Rainbows, Sparkles and Happiness

It's one of those lovely lazy days when I have the day off between being stuck at work for the next couple of days... I'm busy getting things packed and ready for my trip home soon, and I'm super excited although I'll be away from my hubs for a couple of weeks. I AM GOING HOME FOR A REAL REST... Can you tell I'm excited and happy?!

I haven't felt this happy and excited about a trip home since last April when I had the concert of Take That and the most amazing seats we've ever been in for one of their shows... This time there is nothing much planned, besides a trip to see my Grandparents, and the chance to have the attention of my parents all to myself... It's a GOOD excitement... 
I feel like everything is sparkly, I'll miss Valentines but meh that holiday is a yuck one, and my hubby knows I love him anyway... He'll get a million Cream Eggs as a sign of love when I get home... For now though I'm counting down the days and enjoying that sparkly feeling I have... Rainbows and Sparkles and a boatload of happiness...

When a Wolf wants to Sleep

Tomorrow is my day off, I've been working today, and I'm counting down now until I get to go home and see my parents, but tomorrow is going to be a lazy Thursday, and I'm going to read and relax and SLEEP!! If I can pursauade my body to let me sleep without pain, if I can persuade my mind to switch off... I NEED to turn my head off and sleep... Maybe I need to start counting sheep... 

I've had many Better Days - although the pose is from -Extra- - and so now I'm ready for bed... I think I might sleep for the next 6 months of my life... Perhaps?! 
I have been reading and doing all kinds of things before bed to make sure I get a good night's sleep, and so tonight I might have to start counting sheep or something... For some reason when I think of this though my mind starts to wander, which doesn't help me sleep, and I start to wonder if a wolf was to count sheep would they be drooling as they do it? Would Grandma's bed in the Red Riding Hood story be a bit soggy if the Big Bad Wolf was counting to fall asleep in Grandma's bed?

Bored Little Sun Goddess

I'm struggling a bit today, my back hurts and I'm tired and I think I have a little bit of the S.A.D that is so common at this time of year. I'm trying hard to carry on and hoping that everything will feel better when the sun comes out again but for now I'm hiding from the dark with a good book and a cuppa tea, and waiting for the Sun Goddess to make an appearance... 

The Sun Goddess seems to be getting a little bored at the moment... Maybe that's why the weather is so gray and dark... She's bored since these days there are a lot less human sacrifices to provide her with hearts for her fun. Things are no longer the same as the way they were when the Aztecs built shrines - like the one from DROT at The Warehouse Sale - dedicated to their goddesses, especially the Sun Goddess... 
She's taking her need for hearts into her own hands, collecting them herself to keep the glittering of her wings alive...

Cookies Worth Fighting For

Christmas is coming down a slippery slope, today is in fact Sinterklaas in the Netherlands which happens to be their fke version of Christmas and I'm laughing as I say so... I have noticed that there are so many people getting into stress and dramas and almost fighting for the deals in the stores... 
It got me thinking about these fights, and how they could be better handled... How would fighting be more suitable... For some reason I started thinking about cookies and well the results were amazing... 

Nothing could be more entertaining than the Gingerbread Fighters in the boxing ring that were in the middle of a heated match... The place is crawling with spectating Gingerbread Friends, supporting and cheering and some don't seem all that happy either - both the Gingerbread Fighters and Friends are available now from Aardvark, with the Friends available until December 22nd at Uber whilst the Fighters are in the mainstore - there was even one trying to escape the event... Never worry though, bouncer Jolly Gingerbread - that's me in costume by the way - was able to play Kidnap Cookie - from Tardfish at The Warehouse Sale - and bring him back into the fighting...

Sadness and Anger in Homesickness

After what feels like the shortest trip to visit family in the UK ever, I am now back home in the Netherlands. Normally I'm relaxed and happy and have some brilliant fun stories to share, which OK I can agree that I have this time around too, but for some reason I'm actually feeling a little more lost and alone than usual. I've always been close with my family, and I'll admit too that I couldn't actually live with them, but I HATE being so far away... I cry, it makes me miss them being so far away, and I WISH I never had to leave... I get sad, angry and for a day or two when I'm home I get a little depressed...

I go through mood swings, sometimes I'm up thinking of all the happy things and the fun times I had with my family and others I'm right down getting sads, and angry, and even feeling like hiding from the world, hanging on the edge of depression... I'm sorry if I take it out on anyone around, I'll take some chocolate instead of happy pills to make myself feel better and hopefully, my mood will improve soon... I just get very homesick and need to give it a few days to feel better...

Happy Valentines Day... The day when Love is most prevalent in everyone's mind and although I find myself thinking "surely we should be thinking of love as an everyday thing", I cannot help - especially this year - I find myself feeling happier about love. Let Me Work My Magic!

I know that I have been really all over the place with my blogging lately, but I always seem to radiate back to the magical side of things with a large dollop of fantasy and a small dose of darkness... I've often expressed that blogging is an escape from real life, and I guess that's why I tend to be drawn to the crazy, or the magical... Step Outside for an I.C.Wiener!

Apparently a lot of places are having some snow at the moment, but here in Holland we seem to be snowless... While I'm stuck at home, I wouldn't mind seeing some very pretty white stuff outside, but knowing my luck it will wait till I have to go back to work and then it will snow so I can slip over LOL... That being said I need to find some snow to play in, and thankfully I have SL for that... 
Not that if I do find snow I'll be very mature, for some reason, the snow brings out the kid in me... 

Leaving my comfy bed - which in this case is the gorgeous Holiday Bed from Violetility at the Warehouse Sale, and one that although it has hints of Christmas I find myself thinking I would use all year since who said fairy lights are just for the festive holidays - and wander into the snow! 
As the slogan on my brand new shirt states, I am 'mentally gone' at this point - although not enough to miss mentioning this amazing outfit to you... DO YOU SEE THIS OUTFIT?! I love this comfy, casual but super stylish outfit which happens to be the Misi Outfit from miss chelsea for the new round of equal10. Side note of something that I've not screamed about from the rooftops yet, is that I was approached and invited to become a blogger for the miss chelsea brand... It's like a dream come true and I actually screamed with fangirlish excitement when I saw the message about it! 
While outside in the snow though, I couldn't help myself from the thought that I had to build a snowman... Unfortunately for myself, I'm a little immature and the "snowman" became I.C.Weiners LOL! I.C.Weiners are easy enough to make, especially if you're in the -Extra- Group, as this pose, complete with the snow model prop as January's group gift!!

Time for a Coffee Break

A lovely, lazy Sunday... A restful day, in which I had planned to do some cleaning, but instead I ended up having a lazy day, I spent my day decorating my SL house and gardens for Christmas and playing with my clothes... I did make a very naughty stop in the day, I had a craving and needed to head on a little trip, I had a craving for one of those deliciously, fancy coffees with whipped cream...

I took a little time out to head on down to the Burrow Co. Coffeehouse, but instead of going inside I found the most adorable little coffee van at a campsite full of soft comfy cushions, and was able to order myself a super, over-the-top, deliciously Christmassy "Jolly Hot Cocoa" - from Hangry - one with masses of whipped cream...

Lunchmeat Comes In Rainbow Colours

Honestly in the past few days things have been mental, I've finally gotten myself into some of the Black Friday sales and can honestly say that Dust Bunny has cleared out my SL coin purse... Yet that's not a reason to stop myself from digging into my huge hoard to find something pretty to play with. As I sat digging through all of my new purchases and and eating a sandwich, until I stumbled upon some new Lunchmeat... 

Did you know that Lunchmeat now comes in rainbow neon colours? 
In the creepy, dark places within Phaetons Passageway - in a dark part of Normandy - there is a hidden space, a dark little table - which is actually a Violetility 'Dark Academia Bar' table, available at The Warehouse Sale - upon which a tank that could only be used for some weird science experiments sits... Surrounded by barrels of toxic waste... 
The Neon Demons are using this toxic waste to create some of the most delicious cocktails in the War Bar... They dress the demons that work in the bar in Lunchmeat... No, no not the smushed up 'pork' in a can, I'm talkin about the brand new collaboration from the brilliant minds behind Normandy and the Beauty of Darkness... They are the people responsible for the amazing Hydrogen Suit and the matching boots - available until December 10th at The Grid...

Unhappy at the Drive-Thru

It's dinner time and I'm starving... I have no idea what to make for dinner... I want something quick and easy, maybe take out would be a good idea tonight... Now because I'm really lazy right now it would have to be the kinda take-out that is brought to my door...
Yet Rudh is feeling a little more like heading out, she's going to head to the spookiest new drive-thru for a burger and fries... 

Nestled amongst the ruined buildings, gravestones and dead trees, you will find this brand new, spooky themed drive-thru where the burgers are hot, the fries are French and the kids menu is the unhappy meal you've been longing for... The Unhappy Meals - are available now from Junk Food - and they come with plenty of food and a cute unhappy making toy... 
It was the perfect place to go on a little ride out in her new suped-up, little Zombie Rising car, and for safety sake she's been good and is wearing Homemade Hallowen 'helmet' - both of which are from Ananas, and both available from FLF-O-WEEN...

Moths in the Garage

Lovely, lazy Sunday... HellBone and I did some work on this years Halloween event that will start on Saturday but more about that follow very soon. Yet I had a little time to myself and decided that it was time to make myself look pretty and head to the garage to pick up my new bike! It's been a while since I went for a ride... 

It's such a pretty new bike, so different from anything I've ever ridden... I love my new "Aerobike" from Hogs & Cart Wheels - available now at the brilliant new round of Necrosis - it's just such a pretty design and well as it was created by my own hubby, I guess I'm a little biased.. 
I love the garage, it smells of gasoline and it's dark and shady... I loved the outfit that I decided to wear to play with brand new bike. I have such a cute outfit from Normandy, I love the striped pants and the soft floppy top that I'wearing under my Mug jacket... Yet it is the jewellery that makes me the most happy. I LOVE the gorgeous Death's Head Moth jewellery set from Violetility - that you can pick up at The Warehouse Sale - it's a set of earrings and necklace, and it includes both gold and silver colours, and since it's not really 100% clear to see, so I added the gorgeous ad too...
