The Meeting of the Season Changers!

August 1st always feels like start of Summer, even though Summer has officially been happening for a few weeks, and we're actually starting to gear down towards Autumn...
There is soon to be a mingling of the fae from different worlds... The Summer Fae with her gorgeous floral colours will meet the darker Autumn Fae, who are coming to kill off the greenery and welcome to Wintery flakes of snow... They are gathering slowly, meeting on edge of the dark forest on the Swamp Path... 

It is the Midnight Order, that has brought these two fae together on the Swamp Bridge - a release from Violetility - but the Dandelion Fairy is the one hosting the welcoming committee... Sharing her Dandelion Blooms with the Autumnal Goblinesque - thanks to the LOGO Cinder Goblin Head, available now at Midnight Order - and teaching her new friend how to create dandy magic... 
For now though, let's just hope that these two can share the spotlight before the Autumn ends the Summer and the colours fade from green to red...

A Lady Detective in the 1920s

I got very excited by a new release from a store that I'm not normally a client of. Sometimes you see something in an event and can't wait to get yout hands on it, and that's one of the things that I love about the SL shopping events. There are lots of stores brought together that you may not regularly use, but an item is released and everything changes... It was like that today with the amazing new release from Salt & Pepper at Equal10... A look that takes us back in time, to when glamour was jazzy coated with glitz...

The glitz and glamour of the 1920s, the era of the Great Gatesby, was one of highs and lows... Prohibition and mobsters, jazz and swing, it's an era that oozes decadence, especially when you see it represented in the media... Now, I know Salt Perry - owner of Salt & Pepper - has based her latest creation on the great Gatesby, but my current addiction is a tv crime series set in 1920's Australia called "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries"... She's a lady detective in a time when men were still considered the stronger sex, and with her companion and household staff, she is out to right the wrongs and discover the truth... It's a BRILLIANT series, with some strong female characters, a little bit of steam between Miss Fisher and the detective, and lots of action too... Armed with her little gold pistol, and closing her cases with a Whiskey on the Rocks - like the ones from the Whiskey Tray set from Junk Food - this divalicious detective leaves Jessica Fletcher in the dust...

A Sparkle in the Club

Saturday Night and some people are heading out for a night on the town... I wish that after a day like today that I could do exactly that. I used to love being a happy-go-lucky, party-animal, I'd be out on the town, I'd be surrounded by friends and I'd hit the center of the danc floor and would be there till the sun came up... 
My, my how things change... Now I'm old and work far too much for a living, I find myself wanting nothing more than a night curled up on the sofa, under a blanket with chocolate and a cup of tea... I'll just send Rudh out to do the partying for me... 

In Zorrita's Bar - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - the little demonness comes out when she hears the music... The club is lit tonight with pinks and blues, which definitely affected this little demon's fashion choices. She likes to sparkle in the club, she likes to be the center of attention and well, sometimes wearing pinks and blues brings out the fun in her... Dancing away between the exquisite George Vamp Lavalamps - from Beauty of Darkness at Ritual - she guards the sofas and tables while her friends hit the bar. She may look cute, but our little demon is more than a little fierce...

The best little Valentine is a Furry One!

Happy Valentines Day... The day of hearts and flowers and romance is here, and unlike when the other holidays arrived I'm typically underwhelmed. I've been spending the day like it's a normal day, and I cannot deny that things have been a little disappointed in the fact that everything has been a little 'meh'... 
This evening I've decided to remember that I love me, and that there is another in my home that I love more than I love myself... My little fur baby, my pussycat Anna... 

I made some delicious dinner and I curled up on the sofa wrapped in a blanket, snuggled in amongst the pillows to wait for my 'floof' to make an appearance. It shouldn't be too long now... 
If anyone asks, I have the perfect sign to stop them in their tracks, a sign that reads "Sorry, I can't I'm spending Valentines Day with my Cat" - a sign from Boutique #187 that is a gift at the SL Shop & Hop - no one will come between me and my kitty today...

Brat Mode Loading

I am on my first day off this week, and I don't have to work until Sunday, so I'm allowed to let my hair down and live a little... I am going to have to party in SL though because I cannot handle the thought of going out in real life. I have a massive cold and my girlie monthly... Partying in Second Life seems like a much more exciting idea... 
I love to get dressed up and look all pretty, even if it's just in my virtual world, especially when you can look all sparkly and shiny and prettiful... 

Outside the doors of Club X - a backdrop from Paleto - I had stepped out for a breath of fresh air grabbing my fur Alice Stole - from Caboodle - and since I don't smoke in SL all that often I popped in a piece of gum... 
The outfit that I chose to wear looks like one of those that are dressed to kill... A super shiny PVC 'Sukie' Dress - from Psycho Barbie - has some of the most AMAZING metallic textures I've ever seen on a dress, and teamed it with a pair of Enchantra spiked gloves - also from Psycho Barbie, in a equally delicious shiny PVC texture -  screams fabulousness and diva all at once. A dress like this causes a spark to ignite in me, the "Brat Mode Loading" - which you can see in the tattoo on my chest, a tattoo from Adora-tions, which is available until January 28th at Sense Event - someone turned on the crazy brat, the button glowing green, ready to go... Dare you to press that button?!

WonderRudh and the Pirate Space Cats!

I've been kicking butt and taking names at work today... Thing have been changing at work, and I've decided that this year will be my year, so I sent a message to my boss to ask about a possible step up in my work life and was responded to with lots of positivity. I cannot wait until tomorrow now, although I'm nervous to have a formal sit down conversation to start me on a possible path for a new work course... 
I feel powerful right now, like I could do anything... It's the first time that I've felt like this for a while, and I feel like I could be a superhero...

While I was feeling this powerful, I was walking out on the street heading home. In my head I was skipping down the street in London on a pretty sunny day but in reality it was pissing down with rain in a dark city of Amsterdam. It wasn't long before I heard a commotion and noticed the little space ship blasting back off into space and it's inhabitants, a bunch of Pirate Space Cats - from Tardfish at Level - were causing all different kinds of trouble. 
I slipped into the nearest phonebooth, and had a little Clark Kent moment... Busting out of the booth, as the superhero that I am, I had to start kicking some butt and showing those kitties who is boss!!! Don't mess with WonderRudh! LOL Maybe I need a better superhero name, that really sounds like drain cleaner or something LOL...

So Many Flavours!

Here I am, blogging again just after dinner and rather than blogging whilst feeling hungry I've finally had dinner. I've had dinner but now I want some dessert. If it wasn't the main course, then it had to be the sweet stuff... 
ICE CREAM... ICE CREAM... ICE CREAM... I need to have some ice cream, I found the most delicious flavour from Lidl, its crunchy almond with caramel... I might have to head to an Ice Cream shop to get myself a cone or two... 

At the Monsterous Sweet Tooth Ice Cream Bar - a bar collection that includes both counters, ice-cream frozen counter, and other decor from Junk Food, available at N21 - you'll be greeted by an adorable little Scawy Monster - an old release from MishMish - and I had the hardest choice to make. Fruit Cakes

I'm thinking about food again, I REALLY need to make sure that  I stop blogging at dinner times lol, but as the weather is getting warmer all I can think about is do I really want to spend time cooking. To be quite honest with you, the answer is probably not, and to be fair there's only two things taht I want to eat right now... Cake and Fruit... Although, not all together, because we know that fruitcake is only for Christmas... 

I know that fruit is both delicious and good for me, and heck Watermelon was always something I was drawn to in SL since the old nickname Rudhmelon Lasagna was coined, but no matter how much I love fruit sometimes I wish the fruit was cake!

Pastel Rainbows!

Spring is very much on it's way, yeah it's still cold but the sun has been shining and it won't be long after Valentine's is over until we start talking about chocolate eggs and bunnies! It's all pastels and hearts and rainbows... Not something that I'm overly comfortable drenching myself in, but every now and then, sometimes a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...

Cupid of the Future

It seems like every year the holidays become more and more commercial, maybe I'm just being a grumpy old fart, but it seems like nowadays you can get everything and anything you want covered in hearts at this time of year... I find myself wondering, what a holiday like Valentines will be in the future... Will cupid grow up a little and become part cyborg, ready to spread a little futuristic lovin'? 

I would think that in the future, cupid might have become Cupids - or would that be Cupiden as a plural? - and there might even be female versions of the little angel... I know if there were, and it's the future they might be less baby-like, more adult in size, and armed with a brilliant new gun - like the UNA Cupid's Gun. Everything Valentine has gone much more high-tech to keep up with the times, and so from the Control Room - one of Synnergy's newer and most futuristic backdrops - they can keep tabs on all of the love arrows circling the world... 
Debating if someone should be struck with an arrow, should it be love or will it be heartbreak?! Life's big questions...

A Demon of Ice and Snow

Today has been super cold, the coldest of days that I've felt so far this year and as much as I love being cold, it's not so nice when you're feeling it in your toes! The season is definitely changing though, autumn is fading away to the darkness of winter and it's awakening the darkness in my soul just a little more... 
There are demons dragging in the ice... Draping dark icicle tendrils from the trees.. Causing darkness and shivers wherever they go... 

On the edge of Echo Ridge, the frost bitten and wounded - thanks to Skathi's Kiss and Shredded Wounds from The Rotting Lab, now known as Sulfur - demon stands marked for her liege bearing the Heart of Odinism on her skin - thanks to POUT. She surveys the landscape and watches as the wind whistles through the trees, coating everything in a layer of white...  
Don't interfere with the deadening of the trees... Home before Dawn

 Remembering back to when I was a teenager, I am suddenly reminded of how it felt to try to sneak into the house when I got home really late from a party... I never had a curfew or anything like that, but if I was out past 2AM, things could get a little sneaky, and somehow the cat always managed to end up making enough noise to wake the dead... 
Now I'm older, and living like an adult in my own home, I don't have that problem. Though my cat does share similar attributes and makes enough noise to wake the dead... When you're a normal person, that's only a metaphor, but when you're a demon like me, well... then it becomes a problem LOL... 

Now OK these poor little dead bodies are trapped in the walls, maybe they are just desperately trying to get out, but whenever I come home they seem to want all the attention... 
I LOVE this outfit though, it's one of those that I'd never have been brave enough to wear in RL let alone try to go out in LOL... Nevertheless, the Demon in me chose this outfit, and I definitely wore it well... It's an amazing outfit from Eclipse Design called "Alma", and I teamed it with a pair of thigh high strappy boots from [Breathe], for what could be one of my favourite outfits!! 
OH and one more thing that you need to check out, maybe a little more clearly than I've shown them - and I really hope I don't get into trouble for - is the amazing "Villain Claws" - from Six Feet Under. They are just the cutest claw jewellery that I've seen in a long time... I've added the ad to show them more clearly!!

When Cell Phone Service Doesn't Work... Cups & String!

Sometimes when you get that call from someone you care about, it's the best feeling in the world - of course this isn't always the case - but for me at the moment the homesickness is driving me crazy and it's always nice to hear the voice of my family members. 
Now for some reason I was thinking of this when I decided to torture myself all weekend and work on a super huge project that taught me a few things... 1, I miss my family... 2, I am NOT good at Photoshop LOL, and 3, my respect level for the people that are went through the roof...
Still it's time for a very long distance phone conversation, please hold the line... 

It's such a long distance phone call, that cell service doesn't work... These sisters have had to come up with an interesting way to chat... Who knew that two cups and a piece of string would reach where cell service wouldn't?!

Where are these hearts coming from?!

 This weekend is Valentines weekend, and there are so many people out there celebrating the "weekend of romance"... Ugh it's never been something I've been keen on - maybe people will say that I'm anti-Valentines because I'm a fat girl in RL or that I'm with the wrong man - but for me I always maintain the stance that love should be shown on more than one day a year! 
The dirty little demon in me, that loves to parade around wearing fake wings and a halo at this time of year, like she's in some kind of fancy dress parade, often feels that it's a pointless time of year... Turning her nose up at all the hearts and flowers... Never able to escape! 

Even hiding away in the Neon City - a backdrop called The City by The Bearded Guy by the way - she cannot escape the hearts and flowers... Someone is dropping little red hearts everywhere, and you can see she's now amused just by her pose - thanks to Secret Poses at eBento hehe - and the question that escapes from her lips... 
Maybe it's her own fault for dressing like some weird twisted little cupid demon so close to valentines... Either that or it's the fault of the Tainted Love over at Necrosis... Whatever caused it, she's happy being a cyber demon for a little while at least. Wearing a skintight Maurceline Bodysuit - thanks to the Beauty of Darkness - and a Solid Heart Eyepatch - from Normandy, both at Necrosis - the neon angel look started and grew bigger hehe... Accessorizing with some amazing Psycho.Byts goodies, and then throwing on a pair of Afterparty Neon Angel wings she was sure to fit in... A Mekaniskt Heart - from Fika - for good measure... Still even a machine for a heart can't make me feel anything this Valentines...

Happy Meals for Happy Monsters

 I love cooking, it's one of the things that makes me happy, and although I'm not that great at it, I love whipping up a delicious meal. I guess that love of all things food, not only affected my RL waistline hehe, I have more than a little collection of food in SL -most of it being the things that aren't healthy lol... You'll never catch me eating virtual broccoli lol, but I have so much fast food, that tonight I have developed a bit of a craving for a McDonalds lol... 

Now, I KNOW, that there are two arguments here... Some will say that McDonalds isn't real food, and others will say that there are better fast food places, and I'm not toally denying it.. No one goes to the golden arches for ine dining or the best meal they will ever have, me, I only really tend to go there for the chicken nuggets!!
So today the little lovey demon that I am decided to treat one of her monstrous friends to a McHappy Meal with an extra helping of fries... The kawaii McFood - available from Unicorn - seems delicious. I had to get myself a Happy Meal and one of those fancy smoothies, and I really hope that I get the cute little Banana Chick toy - from LEMME - as my Happy Meal Toy hehe... 
Feeling so cute today, I LOVE this demonic lovechild look.. I fell in love with this new Breathless Corset that's pinched so tight around the waist - from CryBunBun available now at Kinky - and although I thought of all the dark, depraved little things that a corset like this should have been used for, yet somehow I ended up going to get burgers lol... Still the little Lust demon with her Lust Horns and Tail - thanks to Neverwish - plans to enjoy some delicious chicken nuggies, anyone wanna share?!

Hearts Full Of Tainted Love...

February is almost upon us, and that means the return of that little cupid monster... I know I said it before but I will no doubt say it again too before the month is out, but I hate that little dude lol... It´s funny how we have an expression like `Bah Humbug`for Christmas but Mr.Dickens never thought to share some of his thoughts on the love monster... 
Still there's sure to be lots of hearts and stuff out there, even for an anti-valentine like me... I mean Necrosis has just opened it's dark, macabre little cemetery gates and the hearts have come pouring out, drowning us in "Tainted Love"...

Now the "Tainted Love" song is stuck in my head, and I'm surrounded by swirling hearts... They glow neon colours in the dark - thanks to these amazing Pixel Hearts from Beauty of Darkness at Necrosis - but even here that little cupid monster managed to find me.. He shot me through the head with one of his arrows - thanks to the Fifty Linden Friday release from Caboodle - and I started to see those little candy love hearts cirling around my head, as well as up close... VERY CLOSE, especially in my left eye, luckily I go to have a Bloody Valentine - isn't this G.I.N Bloody Valentine awesome gotta love that they released this at Necrosis...

Bright Lights and Neons

I love the bright lights that come with the Christmas sparkle, but it's way too early for me to Christmas... So I've decided to play in the neon city lights instead... I've even decided to soak myself in some totally not me colours, just to brighten things up a little...

Blood, Blood, Gallons of the Stuff...

 Ever have one of those dreams that seem kinda kinky but are actually totally disturbing with a hint of twisted craziness... This morning was like that for me... I woke up thinking WHAT THE FARK?! To get it out of my system I had to create something akin to it, just so that I could forget about it and move on... 
Picture it, dark BDSM club and I thought wha-hey this is gonna be good, but then the violence started and there was blood everywhere, and me dressed as what I only assumed was some kind of maid... I remember running to the bathroom to hide... 

That's when I woke up and had to recreate what I had seen in my head... 
The MuggleBorn Minerva Sling, looks a lot like the kinky maid uniform that I was wearing in my dream and the bathroom backdrop from CerberusXing is eerily familiar!

Ducks in the Tub

 Been working on the garden today in my corner of Second Life... It's time to start harvesting and my garden is looking wonderful... All those lovely fruits and veggies ready to be harvested, and the pretty leaves on the trees changing colour and scattering all over the place that need to be raked up... 
I did a little yard work, and then snuck into the barn to watch my cute little duckies in the tub!

My family of ducks had gotten into the barn that's now filled with soft warm hay - thanks to the Harvest Hay Set from hive - and were splashing about in my hillbilly hot tub - from brocante - making lots of cute little quaking noises! I had to dip my feet into the water and join the fun.

Parties at the Monster Bar

At the moment you're getting to see the two sides of my personality bubbling over the edges and down the sides of the cup, maybe it's cabin fever but I'm feeling a little like the two sides of me are fighting to see who gets the light today... Tonight the living dead side of me is being freed and she's heading out for a bit of a Necrotic party!!! It's time to slip into you dancing shoes, the club is calling... 

I think the little living dead doll has definitely had one too many of those cocktails, but in the Monster Club she's letting her hair down and having a damn good time... She's been cooped up for too long! 
She's done her make-up all pretty just for tonight, fully approved by +FATHER+ - who is actually the brilliant mind behind this Undead Face Make-up that comes in three different shades at Necrosis - and even braved adding some of those fancy "Nija" Lenses - from Spookshow, also at Necrosis. For a dead thing she's still more than a little squeamish about putting things in her eyes, eyeballs just feel so icky! As a little extra peek at these things though, I've added a close up, without the bubble gum, so you can clearly see the pretties!
