An Evening in the City

 After a busy day at work, I have to say that heading home is always a great feeling... I have to say that closing the shop and heading out into the dark streets of Amsterdam can feel a little scary sometimes, but the lights and the sounds and all the people still milling around having a lovely evening can be a little exciting... 
Walking through the streets, it made me think of my latest look of the day and the fact that it would be perfect to wander through certain streets in the city I call home... 

It's definitely onf of those blog posts today that's about a Look of the Day more than anything that is a floght of my imagination... I've been wearing this outfit for a few days and I love it, but after I've done wearing it for a few days I have to get out, take a picture and move on to something new LOL... 
It started with a 1313 Mockingbird Lane Norma Jean Bikini - that yes I'm wearin just the top of - and added an adorable skirt from Psycho Barbie, finishing it off with some duckie Hitched Stockings and a Gabriel One-Shoulder Riders Jacket...

Waiting for the Rain to Stop!

There have been some BAD storms here over the past few days. Not the typical Thunder storms, but gale force winds and heavy rain... We've had some RL problems - including the roof being blown off of the shed in our allotment - but it's cold and it's making me feel icky, and during this year that's never a good thing to deal with! 
It's been terrible, getting all dressed up wanting to do things and not being able to go out because of the weather... Kitty and I were watching the rain fall... I'd have been lonely without kitty... 

Looking out of the window from our apartment - at The Apartments, see I told you I'd be coming here a LOT - and just like in RL, it's RAINING!! 
I was all dressed up and wanting to go out to play. Where are these hearts coming from?!

 This weekend is Valentines weekend, and there are so many people out there celebrating the "weekend of romance"... Ugh it's never been something I've been keen on - maybe people will say that I'm anti-Valentines because I'm a fat girl in RL or that I'm with the wrong man - but for me I always maintain the stance that love should be shown on more than one day a year! 
The dirty little demon in me, that loves to parade around wearing fake wings and a halo at this time of year, like she's in some kind of fancy dress parade, often feels that it's a pointless time of year... Turning her nose up at all the hearts and flowers... Never able to escape! 

Even hiding away in the Neon City - a backdrop called The City by The Bearded Guy by the way - she cannot escape the hearts and flowers... Someone is dropping little red hearts everywhere, and you can see she's now amused just by her pose - thanks to Secret Poses at eBento hehe - and the question that escapes from her lips... 
Maybe it's her own fault for dressing like some weird twisted little cupid demon so close to valentines... Either that or it's the fault of the Tainted Love over at Necrosis... Whatever caused it, she's happy being a cyber demon for a little while at least. Wearing a skintight Maurceline Bodysuit - thanks to the Beauty of Darkness - and a Solid Heart Eyepatch - from Normandy, both at Necrosis - the neon angel look started and grew bigger hehe... Accessorizing with some amazing Psycho.Byts goodies, and then throwing on a pair of Afterparty Neon Angel wings she was sure to fit in... A Mekaniskt Heart - from Fika - for good measure... Still even a machine for a heart can't make me feel anything this Valentines...

Time to Relax with Wine and Toys!

 Lazy Sunday, a girl needs a break and there have been so many things keeping this particular girl busy this week that she needs a chance to sit back and take a load off her feet... Time to relax...

Apple Invasion

 Yesterday I went to pick out my first of many pumpkins for the Halloween Season in SL... I'm going to admit that it won't be my last either, but today I decided to take some time out in my own little garden with the help of one of my many many puppies and harvest some of my apples before the wind blows them all off the trees... 

So whilst I'm happily picking apples so that I can turn some into pie, and others into cider, I decided that they looked SO DELICIOUS that I had to have one to taste... Don't you just hate it when you pick an apple, take a bite and it's occupied... UGH there was a worm in my apple!!! 
The Apple is actually a current group gift from FIKA called "Bite an Apple", so the pretty JIAN Hillside Orchard on my land cannot be blamed hehe...

Angel of Darkness

 I don't wanna be an angel, I am a dark little soul. The Devil inside me likes to taunt and tease, and well torturing the angels by doing a little cosplay had to make me smile! 

I LOVE this look, I love this outfit, I love being a dark little dead thing... Living Dead Doll me is back and ready to go! This outfit is a release from 1313 Mockingbird Lane, and is called Larkin. It comes in different textures for the skirt and metals, it's adorable!

Chillin' Pool Side

I'm still on one of those HOT HOT HOT days, when I really don't feel like doing anything, with the exception of finding a pool perhaps?! I wish I'd bought one a couple of weeks ago in RL, but would I actually really use the thing?! Life's full of what ifs innit?! 

I guess that's why I seem to find myself pulled back to a pool ... It's like a moth to a flame, but I'm being drawn into some crystal clear water!!! 

This amazing pool backdrop from FOXCITY - just seemed to be the perfect place to lounge for the day... It's pretty and the perfect place for a girl to get some peace... Lounging poolside was one thing but I decided to slip into the water to do a little more lounging where it's cool... In that crystal blue water... 

Ever the pool bunny, Rudh looked adorable - chilling on the Pool Side, thanks to a pose from Secret Poses - in eenie, teenie, Aqua Baekini with her beers and other fun things stashed neatly into a pool floatie for in case they are needed - it's an oldie item from Violetility but the pool Bar Float comes out for me every year!!!

Dropped the F-Bomb

I've been told that sometimes I swear like a Sailor. I have no problem cussing, and will shout the words from the rooftops if I have to. I LOVE to be able to cuss, it's such a good way of releasing tension and it gives me cause for giggles sometimes - especially when my RL father tries to tell me off for it, when I'm 33 - but there are times when you really wanna cuss but can't due to the surroundings or situations... It's so hard not to drop an F-BOMB!

I'm having one of those times a lot at the moment, everywhere you go in SL all the events and shopping are geared towards hearts and flowers, romance and couples... Now I know I'm in a couple, but we're NOTHING like Valentines romance... So I'm about ready to drop an F-Bomb - it won't stop me shopping, I'm still spending lots on pretties, but yeah... It's F-BOMB time!
Luckily, at the upcoming round of EBento, Kay Weston of Image Essentials has come to the rescue. She's created a couple of poses - male and female versions - so that we can do just that, drop the F-Bomb I mean! 
Now OK, granted she is wearing hearts too... They cannot be avoided, but the MuggleBorn MiniBikini can be textured into lots of different colours and even has some adorable patterns. I had to go a little hearty, just before I dropped the F-Bomb!

Hands of Fear

When something preys on your fears it can be both a nightmare and an exhilaration... You feel the fear build but so does the anticipation and the heightened sense of awareness, and then suddenly the moment of shock happens and it's like a lightning bolt goes through you!

Shopping for New Jeans!

Lazy Sunday today, I LOVE having days when I can lay back and just relax... Though today it's a day for some shopping. It's something I HAVE to do... I have a really big need for some brand new jeans since I ripped my favourite new pair!!

I ripped my new RKKN Ivy Jeans and now they are gaping at the butt meaning that everyone can see and I have to wear panties all the time! For a girl that never wears panties, it's weird!

When Exhaustion makes you Cry...

It has been a busy few days for me, I've been working my little butt off in the cheese shop and now I'm more than a little exhausted. Thank heavens for the weekend I hear you say, but even then I'm being kept busy-ish with my SL job so there's no rest for the wicked. It's making me cranky, and causing a lot of stress, and that in turn is making me want to do nothing but hide from the world and cry a little... That's just what I intend to do today... 

Snuggled up in my favourite pair of silly old pyjamas - or in Rudh's case a Sakura Kigurumi Onesie in a Frankenstein design - she's going to hide away from the world and snuggle up with her cats. Comets are a little like Crystals

Are you ready for it?? The first picture ever taken on my brand new, shiny monster of a PC... I wanted to keep it simple, test how the lighting worked and how the higher and ultra settings affected my photography. I nearly fainted when I easily took a picture on ULTRA settings, but OH MY GOD I'm happier than a pig in the mud right now!!! 
NOW onto the real post! We all know that Santa is pulled in a sleigh by 9 Reindeer - if Rudolph is counted - but I heard recently that all of these deer as "supposedly" female since there is something about them losing their antlers later than male deer?! So I was playing with the idea of Rudhifying one of them... 

Comet was the one that came to mind when I had finished putting this post together, since these amazing crystals remind me of celestial comets!! For anyone interested, these amazing "Crystal Desire" decor items are from lunacy at the amazing Winter's Hollow. Winter's Hollow is open until December 31st with some amazing designers having released lots of lovely seasonal items for your shopping happiness!! This Reindeer, based on the stars, she's decorated her antlers in some festive colours and added crystals to them - in the Crystal Horns from Neverwish. The colours of her antlers perfectly matching the ribbon colour chosen by Santa for his Santa Baby ribbon uniforms - made by 1313 MockingBird Lane. 
In other event news, the new round of Eclipse is open too... I have some awesome stuff coming to show from that. First off I want to share these amazing eyes from Conviction, now I know that they aren't too clear in the picture so I will add a picture them at the bottom of the post - as I've been known to do sometimes. There's one more thing... Poor little Comet, lost an arm... The elves were able to help her with one of the Broken Doll Arms - from Cubic Cherry - as a replacement...

Feeling Lonely? Time to get Creative!

Needing a bit of a day to myself today... Feeling a bit like I'm lost and don't really fit in. It's stupid really, but sometimes when you see a bunch of pictures on facebook - of a family having a thanksgiving dinner for example - you realise that you're not actually part of the fun because you're not invited... It's kinda demoralising... I'm not gonna let it bring me down, I am gonna take a step back and do things on my own for a while though! Sometimes "Me Time" is the best for when you're feeling like this... 
Doing something creative often helps! So today I sat Rudh down, and let her make some adorable Christmas Cards for her friends... 

Sitting on her own, she's left to wallow in her thoughts, which may not be the best idea but at least she's being creative, right?! 
The little cards that she's got are from Ama - a set of 2018 Holiday Cards which are available now at Tannenbaum - and she's sitting back surveying her work...
