Said It All

Yesterday was the day that my Mum was cremated... Yesterday was the day that everything felt so final... It's been a long month to get here, but yesterday was the day that she was finally able to be at rest... Soon she'll be back with us where she belongs and I KNOW I cannot wait to have her home again...

So while I'll be mourning in Private for now, I wanted to take a moment to send everyone a hug. Tell you all that, if you're still lucky enough to have your mum around and you love her even just a little, remember to give her a hug and tell her that...
To my mum, and I KNOW you won't read this, but I wanna say it anyway... You knew that SL was a big part of me, you didn't ever really understand it but when it took my life in the direction it did I'm sure you thought I was crazy... You accepted it was a part of me, and welcomed the parts of my life that it brought you, like your crazy Dutch son-in-law... That's why I've had to take a few moments just to let Rudh leave you a thank you, shed a tear for you and become my therapy as I heal through these difficult times... 
I love you mum, you were always my favourite person - just don't tell Dad I said so - and I will see you again every time I look at the clouds or smell the flowers or find that perfect shell on the beach... One last thing to share with you today, since it was one of your favourites... Take That have "Said It All" for and with you...

A Drink in the Moonlight

It is insanely hot here in the Netherlands and our homes are DEFINITELY meant to hold the heat rather than release it... It's one of the reasons that Summer and I do not get on LOL... This timeof year I find myself wishing I could be more of a night owl or perhaps a Vampire... I've been around the hospital too much lol wanting to be in the night and suddenly reminded of the smell of blood... 

I know that Vampires are often portrayed as the monsters, but in this day and age that should be altered in my mind. People are just as bad if not worse, and they come with a lot less grace... I love things that are Vamp based, Twilight aside because that was just silly nonsense I mean he sparkled and they gave birth to a demon-like baby... I'm still mourning the finale of What we do in the shadows, and love the glamour that often comes with a lady of the dark... 
I think now days we have enough blood banks, we should learn to share what extra we have with the Vamps and then leave them to dance through the shadows and the moonlight...

Dance Among The Stars

I need a little magic, I need a little rest and a lot of time to sleep... I need to find that magic to help myself rest up... I'm going to close my eyes and let my imagination soar, I want to be somewhere where the magic fizzes and sparkles and lights up the darkness... 

When I am at my lowest I tend to find the most sparkly of fae folk to bring me out of my slump and make things seem more effervescent... 
That is exactly what happened when I closed my eyes today and started to let my mind drift off to another world. I ended up drifting up and away, I ended up ascending to a demonic realm but one where I could dance among the stars and sparkle through the clouds... I love dancing and drifting off to a new place in my head...

A Gang of Trash Pandas

On my day off today I've been more than a little lazy. We had some news this morning that made me feel shell shocked and has left me hanging until we have more news... It's made me feel like a grumpy, cantankerous, old lady that wants to do nothing more than read her book and eat junk food... I'm not complaining, we're all allowed to have days like that, today is my day... 

Today I'm living my best life like a Trash Panda, and there will be no fucks given... 
I'm sitting around on the couch, though it may well be a wearable trash can - like the one from Junk Food - for all the mess I have around me. I'm piled under books, knitting and right now my laptop as I write my daily nonsense...

A Mermaid's Garden

I went out on our annual work team outing last night and I'm a little tired today, but it was funny... The one thing I found myself coming up with one idea, and one idea only that wouldn't budge was something a little fishy... We had Sushi for dinner, so I had to get my Mermaid on, although this time, I went a little more monstermer than I ever have before... 

A monstermer deserves a little time in the limelight too, they aren't al Ariel wannabes down there under the sea, but that doesn't make them any less gorgeous...

The Genie is OUT!

It's Halloween Season... That means there is likely to be a lot of horror, a great big helping of blood, and definitely a great deal of dressing up... I may not make it horrifically deadly all month but you know me, I LOVE being able to play dress up...
Last post was a Pirate, today we're as far away from the sea as can be although the fairytale magic still prevails, but our adventures have taken us to the Sinking Sands of the Desert to another Arabian Night...

Within the mirrors that hold the magic of the sands you may stumble across the Genie's lost lamp... Though if you do find it in the sand, becareful what you wish for... Wishes are made to be broken, wishes are made to be corrupted, and the genies of the lamp are known to be tricky so that they can twist your desires to suit their own wicked deeds...

Pick of the Patch

There is a definite change in the season now, things are getting a little more Autumnal and there's a soft chill in the air as the skies get darker earlier and the weather takes a drastic turn... There is a definite shift towards the most wonderful time of the year  AND the most wonderful holiday. I cannot wait until Halloween. I've been doing a few odd jobs here and there to get myself ready for the spooky season... 
One of the most important tasks at this time of year, especially for the magical folks of the world, is making sure that while the colours turn, the pumpkins grow big enough to carve... 

One of my favourite places every season tends to be the land of Moochie, at this time of year it becomes a garden of All Hallows... It's always worth a visit and it makes for a pretty backdrop to take pictures or go for a walk. 
The fairy folk tend to use it as a place to relax while painting the seasons in it's different colours... We all know that I LOVE to hunt down the fae folk and the one I found in the pumpkin patch today is definitely one of the more strikin fae in the woods. Her colours are totally Autumnal, her face decorated with the wings of a Fae Queen - from Clover - whilst her Spectral Butterfly Wings - from Quills & Curiosities - show her dark aura and connection to the upcoming dark holiday!

Chaos Galaxy Stars adding Heat to the Fire

It's BLOODY hot here in the Netherlands again today...We've had almost all of the seasons in a week, Wednesday there was the BIGGEST Summer storm, it was trecherous to head out of the front door. Then not three days later, we're stuck in a heatwave that feels like someone turned on the oven and left the door open... It's like being stuck in a fire... The demons of Hell must have worked some magic and are giving us a taste of their home life... 

Inside one of the deepest, darkest Demonic Volcanoes - an older but awesome backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - the demons have gathered around one of the most glamorous and more senior demonesses... The reason being that in her hand is one of the most important items in all of the fantasy realms... The chaotic red Galaxy Star - a release from Spells & Charms To Go for the current round of RITUAL that runs until the 12th of the month - one of the six chaos stars that can release extreme amounts of damage in the wrong hands... The red is responsible for this terrible heat, and the more it turns the hotter it gets.

Dance among the Bubbles

When I have days off it's the time that I find myself able to get creatively happy, and sometimes a new product is released that makes me scream and I cannot get my hands on it fast enough... 
Then it was on a journey under the waves, where the mermaid in me met her fairy match and the mixing became one of the prettiest beings I think we'll ever get to meet... Deep below the surface, the Merfae sparkles and dances in the bubbles...  

Under the sea, where the Merfae dances amongst the bubbles, she's greeted and welcomed into the cove by the adorable floraray Manta Rays - from Yokai - who taught her the dance of the magical sea folk...

A Sparkle in the Club

Saturday Night and some people are heading out for a night on the town... I wish that after a day like today that I could do exactly that. I used to love being a happy-go-lucky, party-animal, I'd be out on the town, I'd be surrounded by friends and I'd hit the center of the danc floor and would be there till the sun came up... 
My, my how things change... Now I'm old and work far too much for a living, I find myself wanting nothing more than a night curled up on the sofa, under a blanket with chocolate and a cup of tea... I'll just send Rudh out to do the partying for me...

The club is lit tonight with pinks and blues, which definitely affected this little demon's fashion choices. She likes to sparkle in the club, she likes to be the center of attention and well, sometimes wearing pinks and blues brings out the fun in her... She may look cute, but our little demon is more than a little fierce...

Magical Dragons

Halloween is over for another year and I'm kinda sad about it... So many people are already talking about Christmas, and the boys in the MC are talking about Halloween 2021, but I'm just trying to get through another day... I felt a little sad, morose even, and so needed to do something to cheer myself up... Normal People clothes are a lot less fun than Halloween costumes, but then I found a box of stuff from Psycho Barbie and was like YAY... Let's make some pretties!!!

I found this awesome Ava Top - from Psycho Barbie -  and because of the pretty Asian style dragons on the sleeves, I took that direction and went all out pink and draconic in The Outer Garden! Her Katat0nik Cloud Dragon assisting the magic...
