Protect the Heliodor

Why do things happen in threes?! Why when you have two issues, do you get a feeling of impending doom? Why does everything always seem to happen all at once? The past few days I've been feeling shattered, lost, alone and so separated from family that it hurts more than normal, and that's all due to the fact that my Grandma is in hospital because she keeps fainting and they don't know why... Then to make things better, last night my dog started getting ill and has been weak and lethargic all day. She didn't want to go for a walk to the park, which is a surefire sign that something is wrong... All these things adding up are making me feel monstrous, like I just want to scream and cry and scream some more... 

There is a lot of angry and sad emotion right now, and all I can think of is letting the monster out of the darkness so she can consume me and stop the feelings of desperation and stress...
I wonder if my demon can break through, she is a dangerouslt dark being. Marked by the Angelus - whos body tattoo are from AERTH at Midnight Order - she hides in the Cave of Wonders and protects the Heliodor Crystals with her own Dagger made of Heliodor - from Oblivis, also at Midnight Order...

Toxic Goo in the Forest!

Honestly I have been so busy today that I was debating with myself about 'did I have enough energy?' to figure out something that I wanted to dress in, photograph and talk about... 
I think that this time, I could find just that ounce of energy to discuss a Halloween look today, because I have been waiting to play around with a look like this, and it came together so well... 
SLIME!!! Oozes and drips and great big mahoosive globs of slime... The green gooey kind that's a little toxic... 

I used to love the movie Fern Gully, with Tim Curry voicing the evil and toxic Hexxus that was trying to destroy the forest using man's machines... Now I could never do a legend like Tim Curry justice, even when he's only a voice of a character so I've decided that I'm more like his evil toxic cousin, Noxious... I'm a green toxic waste kinda slime, and I'm left in the places where people dump their rubbish illegally... I radiate and sparkle in a neon green, and I assist in the mutation and degeneration of the beings that live there...

A Sparkle in the Club

Saturday Night and some people are heading out for a night on the town... I wish that after a day like today that I could do exactly that. I used to love being a happy-go-lucky, party-animal, I'd be out on the town, I'd be surrounded by friends and I'd hit the center of the danc floor and would be there till the sun came up... 
My, my how things change... Now I'm old and work far too much for a living, I find myself wanting nothing more than a night curled up on the sofa, under a blanket with chocolate and a cup of tea... I'll just send Rudh out to do the partying for me... 

In Zorrita's Bar - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - the little demonness comes out when she hears the music... The club is lit tonight with pinks and blues, which definitely affected this little demon's fashion choices. She likes to sparkle in the club, she likes to be the center of attention and well, sometimes wearing pinks and blues brings out the fun in her... Dancing away between the exquisite George Vamp Lavalamps - from Beauty of Darkness at Ritual - she guards the sofas and tables while her friends hit the bar. She may look cute, but our little demon is more than a little fierce...

Medusa's Pet Snakes

On another Dark Adventure today and this time we're going to visit the coast of North Africa, although the story from which our newest friend has been known... She's actually the star of Greek mythology... A maiden of three sisters, ok they are Gorgon sisters and not to be trifled with, but it wasn't always this way... She was a true beauty, who after a romance with a Greek God was transformed into a monster with snakes in her hair.. Yet it was in death that this Medusa was her most powerful... Her eyes, that had been powerful enough to turn people to stone in life, continued in use mounted onto the shield used in war to defeat the enemy...

Medusa isn't available to welcome us into their home today, but another of her Gorgon sisters, another lover of all things snakey is here to show us the temple... 
There are snakes everywhere, and even though she still has normal hair she's wearing a headdress to honour her sister, and a pet snake on her head...

When the Light goes out...

Today has been a nightmare and it got to the point where I felt like I wanted to just run away and hide in the dark.. People everywhere and all of them demanding my attention all at once, I swear I can still hear all of their voices in my head. Now that I'm home, I'm wanting to hide in the dark... 
The little Demon in me is taking charge of my mind, wanting to enjoy this little nightmare... That was until the light appeared through the window at the end of the hall, and blew out my little light in the dark... 

I was left holding the candle - available from random.Matter - that had been blown out as the light appeared, and I was left in an eerily weird half-dark...

Murder in the Office!!!

I've been at work for a few days now and things are getting a little crazy here in RL... Covid has taken over again and things are back in code red here, meaning that everything has quietened down and there's a lot less going on in my RL... It's driving me a little stir crazy with worry... 
So stir crazy that Rudh went to great lengths to get rid of some of her work stress... She even made sure that one of the problems was handled very delicately... 

I was always told if you cant fix something with a hammer, then duct tape works, and if you can't fix it with that then cutting up in a million pieces... What happened to start as a lunch date became a bit heated, somewhat erotic and finally things got annoying so she had to cut someone to pieces to get them to shut up... 
Least she looks gorgeous in her brand new MuggleBorn "Clio Lingerie", I just hope that the blood washes out and everything will be able to worn again!

The Devil's in the Torture

 I racked my brain all day trying to think of something that I wanted to take a pretty picture of. It took all of the digging through my hoard to realize that I'm actually not feeling all that motivated and it seems to be a bit of a pattern with me that happens every year around the time that the weather starts to change... It's almost hibernating season... 
Nothing was looking like I wanted it to, nothing was making me feel good enough, and then I decided to try on one of the outfits I'd been planning to blog, and well... it's a look of the day of sorts I guess LOL... Lazy Sunday Blogging at it's finest! 

Today I went somewhere along the lines of a little Wednesday Addams, with a definite Rudhish twist! I love those little Rudhish twists hehe... 
The Wednesday Addams look comes in part from this adorable dress by Luas - that was a past group gift -  and I guess that's where the connection ends LOL... She's much more of a depraved little devil, maybe a minion of Wednesday's or something - someone that Wednesday uses for torture practice if the Slit Throat - from MoonPhase - and Mouse Trap - from Iso Darling - are anything to go by.

Gothic Summer is not for the Dogs

Last day of freedom before I have to go back to work this week, I've been off work for 5 days now without actually even having to book a holiday so it's been kinda nice... For my last evening of freedom though, even though it's getting cooler and I am loving it, my cute little puppy friends wanted to cool off in the pool... 

I let them chillax in their cool doggie pool, with supervision of course - oh and for those of you that want to know my doggies are all available at JIAN - to enjoy my very own Goth Summer towel and shady parasol - both of which are available from Neverwish!

Morning, it's Time for Bed!

Today is one of those days... The kinda day you feel like hiding and not coming out, yet you force yourself to keep going no matter what. Nothing seems to be going right, I feel like I'm coming down with my second cold of the season ALREADY and I just want to sleep more than anything else. Yet I'm trying to be good, I'm trying to keep moving and hoping that there is a spark somewhere that livens things up?!

She's been out partying to try and liven things up, and apparently is having to do the walk of shame down a seedy hotel corridor as the cleaning staff start their morning rounds.

What's That?

I know that some people are able to make big changes to their Avatars or Surroundings fairly easily, but I am not one of those people. It's taken me a while to even contemplate the idea of changing my home in SL, and although I LOVE being able to decorate a new place, the thought of it is kinda daunting too... Still it's a thought in my mind and it's beginning to bubble away so we shall see LOL... 
I wish it was something easy to do, something easy like the little visitor that has decided to start Mountain Raising in my garden! 

Strange angle for a photo I thought but then again I wanted to be able to capture the feeling that Rudh is really peering down at the Molehill like "What's this?"

The Milkshake brings the Rudh to the Bar!

I've been more than a little bit gloomy recently, yesterday was the pinnacle of that, and so after some VERY much needed sleep last night I am trying to remain positive. It's a strange enough day for me anyway today, since it's the first Wednesday that I have been in the office in a such a long time, but after today I don't need to come into the office for 4 days!
So this morning I decided to celebrate, I treated myself to one of those fancy coffees that cost a fortune, taste good and are only ever luke warm, and wandered to work on this very cold and frosty morning...
Rudh on the other hand had ideas of her own, she was going to enjoy a day that wasn't in the minus figures, a day she could wear shorts, and although she like me started her day with a trip to the coffee house, she choose a fancy milkshake and a cookie - because calories don't affect her LOL...

Rudh's coffee house is located in the pretty city of Le Sixieme Sens, and it was here that she was able to grab one of the awesome brocante milkshakes that had been imported from The Epiphany.
For the latest round of The Epiphany, brocante have created a collection of water bottles, but I love the Milkshakes which are actually the exclusives for the event. To get your hands on these exclusives you will need to have earnt points which can be won by trading in unwanted prizes - 25 points will get you one of the Exclusive Items!
She's also lucky that even though it's freezing in RL and I end up dressed like I'm wearing my entire wardrobe, she can get away with wearing next to nothing because she never feels the cold in SL. So as I mentioned before, shorts from Addams made up part of her look for the day. They went so well with the cute Andi WorkiT Top, that I'd forced her to buy from Vinyl at this month's Collabor88.
Still maybe I should make her walk away from those enticing looking cookies, otherwise that work out top will be put to use in an actual work out LOL...

On the Catwalk

Out of the snow and into the limelight, I'm taking a stroll of a different kind today... A walk down the runway. The Catwalk was calling to me... I was once told that I was too fat to be a SL model and that I'd have to change my shape entirely, since meeting one of my MC Sisters - Solde - I can believe that this was true, her modelling shape is kinda scary! Yet it never stops a girl from fantasising about the glamorous lifestyle every now and then! 

Today's outfit is a bit of a Look-of-the-Day kinda deal, but it was more that I wanted to show off this awesome pose prop from Image Essentials! The Runway Pose Prop was an event release - which I am late in getting out - BUT you will still be able to pick it up at the Image Essentials main store! It has a collection of poses within the prop so you can strut your stuff, or if you're feeling brave you can freestyle on the catwalk itself, but this is such a useful and fun photography tool especially for anyone that loves to model! 
As for my look of the day, it's made up of pieces that were recent event releases and you will still be able to catch these at main stores, but I am late with bringing them to your attention so I am sorry for that. I have some adorable Coven Heels from a recent Epiphany gacha that Reign put out, I'm also accessorising with a Leather Bone Bag from Zenith - which was a past Epiphany gacha release too! Whilst talking accessories let me drag your eyes up to my neck and point out the super cute Greymark Necklace from random.Matter, and the Afterlife collar from DAZED. Then my outfit, this was a past release from trés blah, and it comes in two separate parts - of which you have various colours to choose from - but the Vinyl Pants and Devon Tank are a combination made in heaven... Perhaps a little warmer kind of heaven than I'm in right now but you get the idea lol... Finally my hair is something totally new... Neverland has a new Pirate Captain!

Boy am I glad that the last two weeks are over, thank God it's Friday! The drama that was surrounding my SL is beginning to die down, thanks to the removal of someone from my daily life, and that - if you pardon the pun of the photo - makes me feel like I've been let off the Hook and am no longer dangling over a precipice heading for the drama pit of doom!! 
I am still however, hiding in my fantasy land bubble for a little while longer, because I am SO not done playing around in Neverland! Thank you so much to the Enchantment team LOL, this has been my favourite round and location so far! 
Today, I am checking out Skull Rock... Going to visit a cousin of mine, he's got a bit of a ticking problem!!  

As you can tell I am loving the theme of this month's Enchantment, and so today I've decided to use their location as a background for my photo... After all if you want a Skull Rock this is a damn good one to choose!
I will admit too that about 90% of my outfit is available at the event, with the exception of my tattoos, my jewellery and the new subscriber group gift from Truth!
The outfit itself is one from Dead Dollz called Polly. This comes in 4 different colour options and has recently been updated with a HUD for colour change of the metals! Now it could be worn as a non-piratey outfit but COME ON, when you get the chance to be a pirate, be a PIRATE lol... I added a few little extras for that extra piratey feel though... I wanted a hat but didn't find one that really made me think YES this is my captain's hat, but the Hook from [CerberusXing] was just way too hard to walk away from. Called Duel's Aftermath, it comes with two different weapon attachments - as I was in Neverland I went with the Hook option but I could have gone for a sword if I wanted to! Then for that final finishing touch, I treated Pirate me to a new Eyepatch from Tabou Irresistible! 
BEWARE Neverland... Hook was bad but Hook Rudh is even more of a deadly pirate... ARGHHHHH!

OH MY GOSH I AM SLACKING... Rudhmellowen Laguna, you are so forgetful and useless sometimes, really you are! I cannot believe that I almost forgot to tell you about something so amazingly cool, one of my favourite SL events of the year... Dammit for having such a crazy, drama filled SL at the moment!! OH WELL, I am not too late, let me explain...
One of my favourite event teams is back again with a new Survival Horror Game. The Pulse Games team previously brought us The Flesh Game, Resting Place, System Failure, and Don't Panic - yes I wrote about a few of them and hasn't my blogging style changed, boy how much I've improved in 5 years! - and this year's event Carver's End remains open until November 21st. If you haven't been before - or have never heard of the Pulse Games events - now is the time to find out what the fuss is about!

If you like nice juicy red apples then this would be a great place for you to visit... Apple Bobbing is a must at the Halloween period, I was always rubbish at it, preferring to eat an apple rather than drown myself for one LOL, but this sleepy little town has apples to spare. So if you want one, head on over to try one!

Super Short Haircuts as Tricks...

It's Here, It's Here, my favourite Holiday of the year is Here!!! FINALLY!!! I don't know where the month of October seems to have gone, it's like I blinked and missed it, but YAY HALLOWEEN IS HERE!!! 
I spent a long time thinking "What am I going to wear today?" but then I realised that I spend most of my year dressed as something dead anyway so I dug through my wardrobe to just find a cute outfit LOL... Due to this, for this year's Tricks and Treats I will be offering FREE HAIR CUTS... Just be careful if you get tricked your hair might be shorter than you bargained for hehe... 

I went for a little wander at Deadman's Island - see told ya that I'd be going back there again and again... This is my third visit hehe! - and found some willing candidates to test my Halloween Tricks on! But then I cannot really blame them, for a demonoic-ish Barber I do look pretty hot LOL... 
The outfit is actually a Convict look... I must have escaped from somewhere this morning! It's one of the M.BIRDIEstory outfits that were created for TAG! Gacha - that ends today by the way! 
I come with my own scissors, they are specially attached to my right hand hehe... They are a Remarkable Oblivion creation, one of my favourite things from one of my favourite stores and actually I don't get to wear them enough LOL... Gotta love them!!!

My Enormous Harvest

I don't think I am the only one that ever does this, but when it comes to my blog I am always needing to have posts ready so that when I have a spare few minutes I can sit down and write something... I get a little panicked when I realise that I am running low on posts that need posting, so I end up working like a busy bee getting things ready... Sometimes I want to blog things as soon as I have taken the pictures for them, others I keep as "when I need them" posts... THIS was one of the former... I had these things in my hoard for a while, and I LOVE THEM... I should have taken and written this sooner hehe...

The things I cannot help myself loving are the amazing veggie plants from Lost Junction... This store is addictive I swear, I cannot help myself needing things whenever there is a release... This time - and OK they have been out for a while I am just REALLY SLOW at the moment - are these amazing veggies... The Fresh Furniture - shown here in Carrot, Tomato and Bell Pepper, there is a Sweet potato too, but I don't like sweet potato hehe - were available for The Neighbourhood, but are still available at the mainstore! Thank goodness I'd picked up these new Garden Barn tools from Plaaka at this round of the Arcade, it would have been a nightmare harvesting these giant crops without help hehe!
My outfit was one that I wouldn't ever had chosen for myself... Basically Mongo decided that he loved the way the jeans from Blueberry made girls asses look LOL... He wanted to buy me jeans, I wasn't going to argue, he was buying me clothes hehe... He bought me the top too hehe...
Though I had to Rudhify the look a bit, I pulled on the gorgeous new necklace from DAZED with it's HUGE gemstone, that you can grab for yourself at IDK, and then to make it just that little bit crazier I opted for some sunglasses - well sunglasses-ish anyway - specs from {joli} at Suicide Dollz.
Kinda reminds me of the story of the Enormous Turnip that I loved when I was little... Anyone know any good recipes for Carrot, Pepper and Tomato based yummies?

Whats in a Profile? A Pic?!

In the past I used to be one of those people that was more than a little shy of sharing my photos... Anything I had taken always made me feel like it was never good enough and I found myself comparing my creations with those of others - a bad habit to have gotten into I KNOW but it happened none the less - so when it came to me wanting a new profile picture, I would never have used one of my own works! Though I had a change of heart, I found a confidence in myself that I never knew I had and now I feel more along the lines of, "if you don't like it, don't look at it, because I love it"...  
Now whenever I want a profile photo, I take one LOL... This is one of those times, and I will say I LOVE this photo hehe...

This look came about all because of a pair of glasses LOL... Normally in SL I don't tend to find myself being drawn to glasses of any kind. I wear them everyday in my RL, and so in SL I just tend not to get excited about them. People tell me I should try contacts but I prefer the look of my RL face in glasses - plus the thought of sticking my finger in my eye is UGH!! Saying all that though, I was shopping at the new Fashion Fair Event, and I spotted these adorabley huge glasses in the store DAZED! I get that they are a little Harry Potter-esque, and that overall look of the photo is not helped to move away from the wizard's feel by the fact that I too have a scar on my forehead lol...
The forehead mark is something that is a little darker from Stargazer Creations. I am reliably informed by Aggie, that these marks, along with the gorgeous lipstick that I'm also wearing, is the darkest that she gets! You can get both of these cute make-up items from Genre this month, in varying colours, but I will warn you now the theme this month is the Dark Arts... Don't get caught messing around in these if you are the real Harry Potter LOL...
Sometimes I even surprise myself with just how cute I can look hehe...

Where does she go when she needs a break?

Everyone needs somewhere peaceful to go on their down time, their place of rest and shelter, a haven if you will... Now recently I was inspired by a dress that I'd been sent from one of the oh-so-gracious and willing to put up with my random mind store designers that I work for, and she had in this dress included a style she called Wondergirl... Thus I got thinking, where would Wonder Woman go to relax. 
If I was here I'd take my breaks dancing in the stars... Wait Wonder Woman can fly right?! 

The dress that inspired this look was one created by the awesome Iokko Molko of yumyums... These Tea Time Dresses come in a myriad of colours and patterns - all of which fit perfectly into the cuteness that is yumyums - and are yours to grab if you are going shopping at this years Fashion Fair! I wanted to use those magical powers of Wonder Woman style flight whilst wearing the adorable Wonder Girl patterned dress.
I managed to find some awesome super accessories in my wardrobe hoard that would make the outfit look even more superhero-esque...
I had the perfect boots! At the last round of The Arcade, katat0nik created the Toy Boots, these also came in a Wonder Woman style design known as "Super"... For just a little more of that superhero flair I added a dash of glittery lipstick - or should that be Celestial Lipstick - from Nylon Outfitters, and a Bead Shaker necklace in a pretty aqua colour from (Yummy), both of which are available at this month's Uber line-up. Then to dance, under the stars, and keep my balance I suppose, I found this adorable - past freebie - from Weather! Or Not?, which is back in-world again by the way YAY!!
It proved to be the prefect thing to help me balance on these slippery looking Celestial Glass Stones, also available at Uber, from the store Half-Deer. They looked more than a little slippery, not that it's a problem if she can fly...
