Candy Cane Dreams!

I have caught another cold... YAY working in retail is fecking wonderful innit?! I feel like every few weeks I'm coming down with another cold, and it's too late to get a flu jab I think... I'm gonna have to check with the doctor on that one... ANYWAY... It does provide me with the perfect excuse to be able to stay in bed and keep warm... 

I had a strange medicine induced dream today and for some reason I had this dream about being on a Christmas vacation in Whoville... I was looking for the Grinch but I spent far too much time looking for all of the pretty Christmassy things and enjoying the chaos of a Who Christmas that you'd see in the start of the movie... I found the perfect place to have a good little rest from all of that crazy chaos and ended up snuggling in to enjoy a few candycanes before I took a long nap... When I woke up, I woke up in reality too!!

Coffee or Chocolate & Cookies!

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and all I can say is that the festive spirit comes and goes faster than I can blink at the moment. I'm dealing with some feelings and a little bit of trouble in Real Life but I will let you know more about that soon I'm sure... 
Since I have the day off though, and since I'm feeling a bit crappier than normal today I'm going to take it easy, do a little prep for Christmas and read a good book with a delicious treat or two...  

What do I want to make myself feel better today?! I think that I should try to make some cookies, preparation for Santa's visit... Everyone knows that there should always be cookies left out for Santa. I would offer to leave him some delicious home-made chocolate or a fancy Christmas coffee, but I wonder if Santa wouldn't mind a cold coffee instead... I don't think it will be too hot when he gets here?!

Sauntering Down Peppermint Lane

Today has been a strange one... Many mixed emotions that I'm not really ready to talk about yet, but also many laughs and lots of happiness to subdue the rollercoaster of feelings... I don't want to make my space here a doom and gloom page, I KNOW there are people in worse places than me and I'd never broadcast too much about what's going on but pease bear in mind I'm in a stange place if things seem to get a little weird... 

Have to distract myself, I need something fun to do and sure as eggs is eggs, Christmas is coming pretty quick so I need to make sure I get things done around the house. Wrapping Stations Are Go!

This time next week we will have passed Christmas and be heading into the new year... How scary is that to think that we are so close to 2025, and that Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye?! 
Today I had to get a few things done around the house, and there will be more cleaning to do tomorrow, but there was one thing that I simply HAD to get done before Wednesday... I needed to get my wrapping done, and this little Christmas elf needed a bit of help... I headed to the one place on Earth I knew they could get it done...

Letters to Santa

Today has been an emotional rollercoaster, I was putting out some of our Christmas decorations and discovered my doggy's Christmas stocking in the boxes. I cried for a while and decided to skip the decorating. I got through the vast majority of my wrapping, and then remembered a task that I had to do and hope it wasn't too late... 

I almost forgot that I hadn't written a letter to Santa, I mean I've tried to be a good girl this year although some may say that's debatable... I read lots of books rather than getting into trouble for example, though those books were mostly smut and morally gray... I only mentally murdered annoying customers at work, and didn't actually stab anyone, even though I'm surrounded by real knives... I tried to keep the house clean, whilst I fought my own anxiety that I wasn't ever going to be good enough to do it... I NEEDED to make sure I got my letter in to the big man in red... 
The house was a little warm tonight, maybe because I was typing up a storm on the old type writer I had kept specially for writing these letters. Before I had the chance to put the letter in an envelope and put a stamp on it, a flurry of snowflakes and magic swept in through the window and stole my letter away on the breeze... Will my letter ever make it to Santa?

Santa's Favourite Ho Ho Ho

It's been a long day and tomorrow will only be worse, but I'm so glad it's getting closer to Christmas and getting home to see the hubby had put the tree up and added the lights made me feel even more festive... 
Though this time of year I feel like an over worked elf in a yucky retail setting, though instead of being a worker elfI got a promotion this year, and became a slightly more important worker elf... 

The naughty little elf that I am, is so far down the naughty list that she has to find a way to boost herself back up. As a slightly more important elf, there is a sure fire way, Santa knows where all the naughty girls are, and there have been a few that taught me a few little tricks as a way to make sure Santa knows I can be good at certain things... 
Bring Santa a tankard of ale, and put on a little show while he relaxes before his big day... Even better if you wait until Mrs Claus has gone to bed and you dress yourself in ribbons and step up onto the Holiday Pole Stage - from MadPea at the current round of ACCESS until January 8th - to shake yourself off the naughty list...

A Gift for the Krampus

I've been celebrating the pretty, organised and wonderful side of Christmas celebrations, but there is a certain darkness to Christmas that many people tend to forget... Those kids on the Naughty List,  aren't only risking not getting any gifts... They are risking a visit from Santa's darkest little friend... Krampus is also in town and this year, he's brought his Krampussettes with him... 

The Krampettes are even more dangerous than Krampus himself, he's known for his actions but these girls are more unpredictable and less likely to treat a kid well... 
It was a darkening night, it was a misty night, but it got rapidly worse the moment that Santa, on his daily test flight, spotted one of the Krampettes in the woods... The accident happened in the blink of an eye, she moved her Krumpass Mask - a creation from Tardfish at the Men's Department until December 31st - and when Santa saw her face - a Faceless head from Bespoke - he crashed into the nearest tree... 
Packages were scattered everywhere, there was even one addressed to the Krampusettes... Something surprisingly cute, a representation of her master, a Krampus Plush - a gift from MadPea for Santa Inc when you spend over 800L and accept the Naughty gifts - wonder what Krampus thinks...

Chocolate & Cookies

I've been having a very lazy day today, the last few days at work were bonkers due to a Spanish National Holiday which saw a lot more Spanish tourists in Amsterdam and therefore the shop was insanely busy... Don't ask me why it got so busy, I don't think all of the shops in our brand were that busy but we were crazy... 
Today I wanted something calming to do and that meant I was going to start my Christmas decorating... 

After the weekend I'd had so far, this couldn't be a RL think since I was aching all over, but my SL space is different... I started in the kitchen and planned the perfect happy place...
I LOVE having a place to make something delicious, and Hot Chocolate feels like the perfect Winter treat. While shopping in the sales this weekend, I got my hands on a new Slowcooker - from Movement as part of the Licor Chocolate Set - and decided to set up my own Hot Chocolate Stand - thanks to a set from Junk Food at Santa Inc until January 2nd - in my kitchen... 
Adding a handful of cookies and cakes, with a handful of decorations for Christmas cheer and I'm a happy girl...

Flakes on the Fae

I felt like doing something a little goofy but the way I become a goofy little snow fae, dancing around on the breeze with the other snow flakes in the softly falling snow was a lot less goofy, if you discount my cheeky grin... I LOVE being a little icy this time of year, I'm definitely better when it's cold...

She's such a pretty cold thing, like Elsa said "the cold never bothered me anyway" and I think even though the little flake fae has a touch of the frostbite - a layer created by The Rotting Lab - and she's covered in Snow, she's still able to smile... 
Her accessories all assist in her manufacture of the snow flakes... Last Minute Shopping for those Last Minute Gifts

I have been stuck so deep in RL, it's been crazy since the start of the week, and while working in retail at this time of year can be fun it can also be super crazy busy, and people can be more than a little obnoxious. I never thought I'd be horrible to someone in retail but having experienced it in reality, on the receiving end, it's no wonder that people hate working in retail at this time of year... 
Still, there's only one shopping day left before Christmas, and I have a couple of things that I need to get, so I'll pop out to the shops, trudge through the snow and disappeared into the shops... 

The shops have some of the most wonderful window displays like the pretty little scene declaring "Santa Stop Here" - a sign that I shrunk down to fit in the scene from Krescendo - whilst I warmed up with a delicious cup of fresh Christmas Expresso - from Junk Food - complete with it's adorable little elf hat and handy candy cane to stir it with. 
I was so lost in plans for the holidays and looking into the shop window that I almost missed my friendly Prezzie Bear - from Tardfish until the end of today at Tannenbaum - stumbling around on the sled... I had to jump fast to catch him and the gifts from falling into the snow... Cant risk a little friend like him getting hurt so close to Christmas...

Reindeers and Snowmen

It's ALMOST here, Christmas is getting closer and closer... Weve got less than a week and everything is beginning to look just that little more festive, I've finally finished decorating my RL house and my SL house is almost done too... 
I've been doing things to get a little festive, I even managed to sneak in a trip to the North Pole for a little look around, and a chance to maybe catch a glimpse of the big guy... 

The place is like a Christmas Fairytale - although in this case it's a backdrop from K&S - and although I was perfectly sweet, and behaved very well but I didnt get to see one elf or even have remote hint that Santa was anywhere near... 
I may not have gotten to see any of the stars of this month's show, but I did make some adorable snowmen pals - Sprinks the Snowman from muffin, to be exact - AND I did manage to score myself the most epic Reindeer Hat - which is actually a gift in the MadPea Advent Calendar from Ananas - in the gift shop...

Baby Snowflakes...

Just the other day, the Snow Fae were here spreading their various different flakes around - not just in RL but in SLtoo - and as much as I like looking at the snow I'm always terrified of the fact that I might slip and hurt myself. Let's face it, my track record for NOT falling on the ice is a terrible one... 
Yet all of this brand new snowfall, is causing the birth's of so many brand new baby snowflakes... Each one pretty, sparkling and soft, babies to bring happiness to the winter days... 

On the edge of the wintery forest, one of the prettier, softer snowflake faes is there to make sure that these brand new baby snowflakes are taught to dance in the breeze. The super soft snowflake - the fatpack exclusive in the Xmas Huggables from vespertine at Kustom9 - is one of the newest babies to be created... The light Snow Fae are very protective of the new flake babies, wrapping them in a veil of their dancing bretheren. Their wintery and glimmer halos - from ERSCH and duckie, as naughty gifts available at Santa Inc - sparkle and cause the breezes that allow the snowflakes to learn to dance.

Krampus Crash Causes Chaos

This time of year has always been associated with Santa, or one of his many versions, but there are other, darker versions of the jolly red man that cause nightmares in the naughtiest of children... 
Krampus, is the darkest of the St.Nicholas forms. Krampus, takes the naughty children in his sack rather than provide them treats for being good... 
Krampus, isn't like Santa though, this monster is different... He's the kind that would be more likely to send a child to Monster High... I imagine that's how his daughter would be, a Monster High Christmas spirit... One that seems to find herself in far too much trouble... 

The daughter of Krampus ALWAYS finds herself in trouble, she'd be the kind of child that the Krampus might pick up in his sack, if she wasn't already someone he had to deal with on a daily basis... It was only this morning that this little Ice Princess, marked by her Ice Crown - from Six Feet Under at the SL Christmas Expo, and since the picture makes it look small and dark, I've included the ad below - was persuaded by some of the Krampus Elves  to steal Santa's sleigh and take it on a joy ride. From there it turned into a bit of a Holy Shit night as the ride lead to a crash in the Winter Courtyard, and chaos ensued...

Around this time of year, everyone starts to send out their pretty, couply Christmas Cards with well wishes for the holidays and into the new year. I have been planning on getting somethign cute and couply done with HellBone, but then there are so many pretty, but rather risque poses out there that he'd never be happy posing in... I needed to find help, someone I know lives on the risque side of life, someone I feel safe and comfortable to bare all and lower my inhibitions with, and someone that means a lot to me since I was thinking of one of those cutesy Christmas card pictures in the darkest corners of my mind... 

The obvious choice had to be Deangelo, a man who has been a rock for me since we met over 15 years ago. Our relationship has changed over the years, but no matter how far away from each other we drifted, we have always been watching out for each other. He's protective of me, and I of him. He is someone that knows the real me, the truth behind my sparkly facade and he's supported me on so many occasions that I have lost count so many times over... 
I asked him to celebrate Christmas a little early with me this year, I made sure I was wrapped up in ribbons so that he would enjoy the unwrapping of the gifts as I asked him to Seduce Me - thanks to a pose from Secret Poses. I wanted to test out Santa's toys for naughty girls that had been left for me in the stockings over the fireplace - by LEMME -, and on the festive Tree Toy Rack - from Krescendo - to see which one will bring the biggest smile to the face of this Ho Ho Ho!

A Scrap Booking Distraction

Yesterday night I got a bit of bad news in my RL and it's had a ripple effect, as these things always tend to do into my SL as well... I wanted to curl up and do something that will distract myself from the dark thoughts that were brewing, and since I couldn't really get myself in the mood to pose for pictures I decided to unpack my Christmas goodies.
As I sat on the floor, I found a new Holidays Scrapbook and decided it was time to sort through some of my pretty pictures... Memories of Christmasses that were better... 

Buried deep in a box of Christmas Clutter - from Half-Deer - covered with wrapping paper, fairy lights and tinsel - which actually is a new release, along with the santa head bands from dust bunny at Santa Inc - was the Holidays Scrapbook - from Insomnia Angel - just waiting to be filled with pretty pictures, and this would be just the distraction that I needed... 
I dressed my teddy in his cozy Christmas Pyjamas - a teddy from hive - and sat down with the book to start filling the pages with wonder, and as time slipped by somehow HellBone managed to sneak in with a brilliant Santa Cookie Jar that contained some candy cane cookies - from Junk Food at Anthem - and a very large mug of hot cocoa - from what next. 
Lots of nice things to take my mind off the bad things...

A Trip to the North Pole

Counting down the days till work is done and the Christmas holiday can begin... I'm still no feeling very festive, I can't really get into the mood... What am I going to do? Wha can I do to make things more Christmassy in my head?! I've tried all the things... Eating the goodies, singing the songs, and watching the movies... There's nothing that seems to be working properly... 
Maybe... Just maybe, a  trip to a certain snowy village and a meeting with a man in red, might be a good idea?

I headed on over to The Main Event, where the Snow Daze are getting a little festive... I decided that this was the best place for the meeting I was planning with the big man in red... I even got myself all dressed up to bend in with his workers, yes it was a little deceptive, but do you know how hard it is to get a meeting with the real Santa Clause at this time of year... 
I wore the awesome Falalalala Set - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane at The Arcade - maybe it doesn't match with the other elves... It did however, get me into a meeting with the big man, and he helped me feel better about the Christmas feeling. I sat on his knee and he even let me leave with a special present... A Christmas Bear Plushie - from Kiu - covered in lights...

A Little Peace On Earth

This time of year is all about Peace on Earth, and I feel like this year more than any for me that's a big thing I should be focussing on right now... Maybe not on Earth, that's a big ask in my mental state right now, BUT maybe it's time to think of a little Peace for Me! I'm in a war with my own emotions, missing my family, and I'm kinda wishing I could fast-forward to next year to see them... 
Time to spread a little Peace in my own Earth... 

Up in the stars, the Angels watch over the Earth, with the exception of the Rudhie Angel... Rudhie Angel is too busy with my personal well-being, selfish I know but it has to happen right now... 
The Angel in me is trying to get a little festive with it, enjoying my love of one of my favourite things at Christmas... Fairy Lights... Wearing them not only as a Light Harness - from miss chelsea in a long past gacha - but as a collar and leash, and in my hair! Light Me Up

It seems to be a customary thing for me every year to start working out ways to either get myself off of the naughty list, or embrace it more than ever. This year I am going to just say screw it and embrace the fact that I've been on the naughty list for years, and that's where I am going to stay. 
I even found some of my gifts that had been hidden away, and well, since I found them maybe it wouldn't hurt to have a little pre-Christmas fun...

Snowflake kisses on my cheeks...

Oooooh one of the best things about Second Life at this time of year is the snow... I HATE snow in RL because even though it looks pretty I know I'm always scared that I'm going to slip over and hurt myself, but in SL though it's a totally different story. I LOVE being out in the snow, dancing around and watching the flakes fall. Even the darkest little versions of me cannot help but smile as the soft white flakes kiss my skin... 

At Moochie, where 'Tis the Season, while out on a walk in the woods, looking for a quite place to commune with the moon goddess, the little dark being that I am wandered into a clearing and suddenly the snowflakes were kissing her cheeks... The smile was instant, proving that even the creatures of the dark cannot resist this pretty white stuff!
