Remembering Them...

Today is November 11th, and for a lot of places in the world are celebrating the veterans today... I know that for the UK, Remembrance Sunday was the last weekend, but I always find a few moments today to pause daily life and remember those that lost their lives to protect our freedom... Being a Brit, the way that the people fought for England's freedom during WWI and WWII and the stories that they had to tell has always awed me of their resiliance, their tenacity and their voraciousness to protect their home... I had to take a moment to honour them... 

At the old Defense Camp - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - where the poppies grow between the old Spitfires and bombs, Rudh got all dressed up and ready to remember them... After doing a little digging at the Salvage Station, she found the perfect outfit - from Eudora3D at Salvage Station - and even found a helmet that makes her look like a Femm of War - the helmet comes from Apika, also at Salvage Station - and she may be a little rusty wearing her Salvaged Armor - which happens to be the tattoo from Nefekalum - but once she is wound up, the key that has her power will enable the salute to those that have fallen...

The Tickles of a Ghostmage

The doors have opened, and the Midnight Order is here to release their magic onto the SL world for just a little while. There has been a sudden surge in magic since the doors have opened... Anyone with even the slightest hint of magical aura is already aware of it's presence. It's not just the living spirits that are able to enjoy the feeling, the dead are riding and on their way too...

That magic wakes the dead with gently tickling of some Ghostmage Hands - available from Aii at the round of Midnight Order that runs from today until February 20th - over their bare skin. It gets the magic to awaken and sparkle through their bodies, shining lights through their Archmage tattoos - from Nefekalum also at Midnight Order - it's a wonderful feeling, and the Midnight Order is the cause...

Stand Out in a Crowd

Tomorrow I'll be doing something a little different from normal... Rather than going to work in the city, I'll be meeting up with my mother and her friend who are stopping in on a fancy-schmancy cruise... I'm so looking forward to it. I just hope that I can find her in the crowd, I need a way to stand out in the crowd.. I've never been good at standing out in a crowd... 
At this time of year there are SO MANY fantastic costumes to be found in SL too, it's hard for the usually crazy costumed dresser like me to find a way to stand out... The other ghosties have turned to me for advice... 

It's laundry day in the ghostie glen... A day when the whiter than white sheet ghosts gather together to have a bath with some lovely laundry detergent. There have been discussions about how we're going to get more notice this year, and how we're going to stand out in the crowds of amazing Halloween gear... I had a wild idea, seeking out a LARGE cauldron that is full of the Firework Green Potion - which is actually an amazing Halloween Fireworks Cauldron, that is available from MadPea for the current round of Equal10 - and we were going to tie-dye our sheets!!!
I even managed to find a few accessories with a touch of neon, and some other Glitter Babe - a dress from Neverwish, which is TOTALLY gorgeous by the way - fabric to make a dress to wear under my sheet for added affect...

Midnight Order's Garden of Serenity

Twice a year, every there is a magical event that comes to Second Life... An event that is full of dark magic so that even in the harsh light of summer, the dark, twisted little beings can find some solace and a place to rejoice. They are gathering in the shadows, the Midnight Order is coming to town and everyone is excited to see what the magical event brings out to play this time... 

Until we're allowed to wander through the market stalls of the Midnight Order, until the elders allow us to explore the fun of the Midnight Order, Rudh needed to find a way to waste a little time to stop herself from being fidgety and overly excited... She's decided to take a stroll somewhere dark and quiet to avoid the summer heat, perhaps a walk through the Garden of Serenity - a gorgeous backdrop by K&S that will be available from Midnight Order - a place that brings out her inner darkness and draw her little Vampyr friends - from Apika, alongside the Umbrella also at Midnight Order... 
Even though it's insanely hot, the darker side of her brain likes to bring out the beautiful gothic Victorian style, but in this case she's pulled on a gorgeous Kiba Corset - which actual has a full bodysuit feel to it, from AsteroidBox at Midnight Order - but I pulled on a gorgeously Sympathy Skirt - from toksik that comes with a gorgeously frilly top - and together they make such a wonderfully fabulous gown... 
Now I just have to wait, with baited breath until the Order opens it's doors...
