A Different Tale

It's a tale as old as time, but recently I have been loving reading the Smut that is actually based on the fairytales that I grew up loving and still love but now perhaps with a twist of something dark and kinky... 
I am just about to start reading one about Goldilocks, but I've loved them about Peter Pan, the Little Mermaid, Aladdin and others, but this will be the first about Goldilocks and her three bears... Another theme that I love happens to be Beauty and the Beast based stories... A twist on the tale as old as time... 

I love the stories with a twist... The darker the twist, the better I feel and I LOVE it when the female main character is the villain... Maybe I should start writing my own so that I can apply my desires to one tale... LOL or maybe I should just stick to reading them... 
This tale as old as time has a big twist... Our beast becomes human but not before the tale is flipped, with his belle of the ball becoming a scarred beast of the tale. Bitten and clawed by the beast to marr her beauty and let the magic of the rose be her curse... He is her obsession, she see that in his hand held mirror - from Krescendo - while the magic sparkles between her and the rose...

Do you like Scary Movies?

On days off I tend to love reading and taking pretty pictures in SL, I'm sure you've guessed all that by now, but my hubby is definitely MUCH more of a movie freak... I am not particularly a movie watcher. I have my firm favourites, I will get lost in my mind any time I watch the LOTR and Princess Diaries is my go-to make me feel better kind of movie... HellBone loves all different kinds of movies, Horror being his go-to... 

Watching movies these days is NOTHING like it used to be when I was in my teens or even early 20s. When I was a kid or even a teen, I remember nights when Mum and Dad said we could rent a video to watch from the local video shop. We didn't have a Blockbuster, but there was a local family owned video shop - a bit like the backdrop from blaink - but by the time DVDs were becoming a thing, the shop was beginning to close it's doors... 
I am NOT  a scary movie fan though, HellBone loves them and likes to terrorise me, making me watch them sometimes... Last time I jumped so much during a scary scene that I spilled my drink and dropped my dinner... Rudh got so scared in the video store today that she threw one of the slices of pizza that she'd stolen from the clerk on the desk...

Let's make today F*cking Perfect!

I have had the day off today and it's been lovely... I had planned to get a few things done but that was NEVER going to happen considering the mood that I was in. I have been in a bit of a meh place when it comes to blogging lately, I am and may still be in a bit of a rut for a while, but for some reason I just cannot get myself into the game... I'm sorry for that... I am trying, and will keep trying, and today I had to force myself to get into the right mind set... 

I decided to get myself into some blogging and try to pass the blogging rut... I had on an outfit that made me feel a Marie Antoinette gone modern, Pink Ladyish Barbie... I have been living in this outfit and felt that it NEEDED to be shared and it could definitely help me make the cogs start moving... 
The outfit started because of the top from the Elyn Set - from miss chelsea - with a few perfectly placed accessories and some tight black pants... It was a great start, and I decided that another great start would need something to sustain me I went onto the terrace at the Delmonte Villas - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - where I helped myself to a Fucking Perfect Small Cup of Coffee - which was released by Boutique #187 at Astrophe - lit a cigarette and then played the game of what jam would I have on my fresh croissant... Fishy Fun!

I felt like doing something a little random today, I am Rudh of the Random Ramblings after all and since yesterday I've been feeling like my body is just giving up, now that the stress is over... My cold is back with vengence, my back and legs ache, and OH I had a visit from mother nature. 
Right now, I want to distract myself with something a little random... Today we're going to let things get a little fishy... 

Have you ever found yourself looking at something in a shopping event and thinking, "Ooh I didn't know I needed one of those but now I can't live without it?!" That was the reason that I ended playing with the fishies today. The mermaid in me, NEEDED this... I had to have the FishBowl Top & Bra set - from Moon Amore, available now at Collabor88 - so that I could take the smaller fishies on walks with me. The Bigger fishies fit into the Dreamy Pond Bubbles that magically follow me when I walk, the smaller ones seem to slip through the bubble!

A Dark Little Angel

Life has been shaky since I lost my furbaby on Sunday... I've been distracted and confused and unwilling to do much of anything besides sit with one of her toys and watch the same sort of silly movies and tv together that we always watched... I know now though that I need to start trying to get back some semblance of normality not just for me but for my hubby and kitten... 
I dug deep, searching through my mind to find out if the characters in me want to come out to play again... Seems like there is always a dark little spirit wanting to get out to experience the light... 

The magic definitely helps me to free my mind a little, and that's definitely something that my mind needs right now. As I've always said, blogging is definitely a form of therapy for me, and creating a look that is kinda magical but also a look of the day has become healing... My mind drifted and I smiled and things started to feel better... 
I may be a monster, I am definitely not an angel, though perhaps I could be a twisted combination of the both. Something magical, something monstrous and something that truly makes me smile... This outfit is one of those things for me too, the angellic demon, draped in pearls, dressed in black and looking cute...

Demon of Jormungaad

It's Friday evening, and there have been so many busy things happening today that I want to sleep and drift off to a place that's not Real Life... It's a world full of sparkles, and magic, and the occasional dark force thatsees demons battle the light, taking on the rainbows and prettiness of the fae folk... 
Today the darkness has beaten the light, the demons are winning, they have been battling the monstrous peoplen that walk the streets of Amsterdam at the moment... They are winning... The dark sparkles are drowning me... 

Tonights an Evil Night - like the backdrop from PALETO - I cannot believe that the darkness feels so much better than RL at the moment... I'm a dark little Demon in an Infernal mess, being guided by the markings of the Jormungaad - which is actually a tattoo from DarkQueen at the new round of Ritual that opens it's doors tomorrow, April 22nd, and runs until May 12th...

The Monster Clique of Fairytale High

Been reliving my teens, sitting to watch some of the moveis that I loved when I was younger. Nothing better than some of the teen romances of the nineties and noughties for me... I am a happy girl, I've also been catching episodes of Monster High on the internet, and I love that series, I wish it had been around when I was a kid... 
It got me thinking, if I was back at a Monster High, what would it be like, and what kind of monster gang would I roll with... Well of course, there's no better place than in SL to find that out... I was going back to High School... 

I think I'd be one of the mean girls at a fairytale high school - maybe not so much if it was just a monsters only school perhaps - but the demon in me would definitely be leader of her pack... On the cheer-squad to stay in with the cool kids, while the dark monstrous types that were my crew made me their Queen Bee - or their Regina George if you know the reference... 
Dressed in my uniform - a new release from miss chelsea, available at Anthem - and my hair done in a style to match my pom poms, as I pose with my posse in our classroom during lunch so we can be close to the lockers - such an adorable new release from Boutique #187 - that hide all of our stuff during the school day. My Fairytale High School Posse is brilliant though, the best friends a girl could make-up... Pinhead's gorgeous sister, Pippa, and the Paper Cut Fairy are my gorgeous ghoul pals, whilst Bill Loon and Bobble Head, son of the Emojis, are the boys in the band hehe... Brilliant to be back at school...

My Kitty needs a check-up...

They say that animals can catch Corona like humans, and there has been an outbreak of people trying to get rid of their pets either by giving them up or even having them put to sleep!!! It's terrible!!! 
My kitty needs to go to a vet for her teeth to be cleaned but I cant take her right now, so Rudh is going to take her kitty for a check-up...

I took my kitten to the Animal Clinic at Fox Hollow in her pretty pink carrier - thanks to a cute new pose series from Secret Poses called Shiro the Cat, which is available at Ota-Con - luckily she was OK but now I just have to wait for being able to take my kitty to the vet in RL!!!

Magic Makes The Clouds

I've been getting lost in one or another fantasy world lately, I don't know why but it's definitely a break from the feeling of normality and it's something that I feel I REALLY need at the moment. It's definitely the only way I can get myself into the mindset of being able to blog anything! 
Today the fae has come back out to play, only this time she's busy working, making pretty clouds... 

The sparkles from her wand - a shrunk down Galaxy Pegasus Staff from PSYCHO.Byts - gather together to form the white fluffy little clouds. Her halo working magic so that the neon tears she sheds, add that glisten to the fluffy clouds - thanks to an awesome new Engel Set I picked up from The Horror for Hump Day! I have to be careful though, too many magical neon tears and the clouds become rain clouds...

We Serve Burgers... To Burgers?!

Today has been one of those days, finding it difficult to do anything besides be more than a little lazy... Finding the motivation to do anything has been an uphill struggle, but there's one thing that was apparent... I WAS HUNGRY! I could have eaten mountains of food... I didn't want healthy food either, I wanted something gross and unhealthy... Something fatty... Burgers and fries... It's influenced me in more ways than one... 

Everything was ALL ABOUT the burgers and fries... I had fries for dinner and well, you can kinda see it was on my mind while taking pictures... Focus Poses had the perfect pose set, the Burger + Fries = Perfect Match set, which allowed me to channel my inner hunger, and I started waitressing at a local WcDonalte - thanks to my uniform from Beauty Factory - to bring happy delicious joy to some of our very interesting customers! 
For those of you that are curious, and I may get myself into some trouble, but I needed bodies for the amazing Black Bantam Vegan Monster Burgers, so I was a little naughty and found that they looked kinda cute over the bodies of the Half-Deer Giant Bear Hug Bears... They are the best teddy bears, but they also make adorably cute monster bodies too - with a little help from photoshop!!! Please don't kill me... LOL let the burgers do that for you!!!

The Demonic Girl in her Naughty Room

So I felt like doing something a little cute and girlie, but with touches of Halloween. Since Halloween is a time for dress up, and it's also a time for cute girls to start dressing like a bit of a slut without repercussion, then today it's just what I'm going to do. I'm going to be a demonic whore hehe... Dancing around in my bedroom, listening to girlie metal music and dead heading the roses from spurned lovers... 

I was inspired with this picture when I saw the awesome new gacha releases from LEMME - available at equal 10 now - by a song from Motionless in White called "Eternally Yours". There's some neon pinkness going on in the video, hence why everything in my room is now neon pink in colour hehe... So I am fully willing to admit that there are a lot of things in life that scare me because I fully admit that I'm a bit of a chicken, but even though I fully refer to myself as a living dead doll I'm totally afraid of watching Horror of any kind... Sounds crazy when you think of the fact that I do so much relates to the dark and macabre, but if there's one horror character that gets me every time it's IT... Clowns kill, I hate clowns... 

Though I am gonna be brave, just this once because the ECLIPSE is here and there has been an appearance of the evil little clown all because a Tattoo was calling him... 
Oxydate put out the Join In Tattoo, with it's clownish scarification and well that was like a moth to a flame for IT... He appeared in the dark sewer and tried to lure little Rudh in by sending out paper boats...

Tirck or Treat Lane would be lacking if there weren't a few of them, but there's pumpkins everywhere in all different shapes and sizes! One of the best things about getting a pumpkin at this time of year, is being able to create magic and bring them to life... 

At midnight it's the witching hour and it's time to bring the pumpkins to life... Some are very evil in nature and some can be cute and cheeky, but whatever happens, it's time for a little magic to make these pumpkins glow! Even my pumpkin baby, and cute little pet rat are excited to watch this pumpkin start to smile... I'll just light a candle - thanks to a pose from -Extra-, which is actually a couple pose that has the chance for another avatar to be facing you and holding the candle too - and bring him to life!
The -Extra- Pose, along with the awesome lit Jack O Lanterns - from LiViD - are available at the still on going Trick or Treat Lane. It's not just the props though, oh no no no, the adorable Sara Outfit with it's pumpkin design - from JACKALOPE - and even my VileCult Rebella Eye Make-Up can be bought at the event! 
Now I know I just mentioned my eye make-up and it's not very clear in the picture but, that's why I'm going to add a few of the store ads! Playing Dress up at Nana's

I love and miss my Grandma, not going to lie... Yes it seems random to say, but it will all make sense if you bear with me and keep reading. Today is my MC Sister Lilian's 50th Birthday and so last night we threw her a little party. Her chosen theme was old people and so we created a retirement home that we filled with Techno! 
Though this morning, I was sitting drinking my tea, and my favourite little friend came to visit... She came to see Granny Rudh, dressed like Granny Rudh LOL... TOO CUTE!!! 

Isn't my little granny baby so freaking cute... I've been seeing them all over the place, and I HAD to have one. I always swore no babies, but I couldn't resist her, I NEEDED Her!!! She's my little RudhBone... She's someone I bought from Black Bantam - a Old Lady Costume Baby - and is a weird messed up love child of myself and Mara, with some HellBone on the side, named RudhBone by Chopper LOL... Poor little bubba...
But then I needed lot look like a little old lady for Lil's party... My first idea is to always reach for the Izzie's Face Wrinkles, then some white or in this case gray hair... A Pant suit and string of pearls later then all I needed was a cardigan, which thanks to MOMOCHUU I can also wear as a blanket when it's cold.

Elixir to Fix the Problems

Today's post will contain a little magic, a bit more scarring and a rather necessary - for me anyway - rant about something that's on my mind... I warn you, the prettiest thing about this post is my picture, the rest is going to be rather messy. So I implore you to forgive me and hope that if you're not interested in my ranting ramble that you'll just skip that part and only look at the picture and Outfit chatter, because I'd hate to see you miss out on something awesome! 
What is needed is a little magic potion to help heal some of these scars... Be they the scars of frustration or the scars of a more physical kind. 

First up a little chat about my pretty picture of today... Rudh developed a nasty rash on her face that turned out to be of the pox variety - thanks to a Twisted Hunt Prize from SongBird. Luckily she was told about a witch in the woods that made SongBird Elixirs which could cure her problems...

So my rant today is about Flickr and it's safety level process... It's the WORST customer service that I've ever seen from ANY company to date, they are the most unhelpful admin company that I've found and it's bringing me to tears - I will admit. Now granted in the past I've been a bit silly when it comes to not ensuring the correct safety level was set for some of my pictures that I share on Flickr. I am not going to place the entire blame on them, but what I will say is that when it comes to assistance in finding out what I need to do to change that, I'm meeting brick wall after brick wall.
Eight or Nine times now I've spent hours and hours working through my Flickr stream, setting the moderate pictures and making sure that anything following their rules was set to the correct level of restriction. I've done it so often now that everything seems to be a blur, and rather than settling for optimistic about things I'm taking a very pessimistic route and being extremely cautious. My MC Sister Lilian even took it upon herself to go through the stream for me and make suggestions that I may have missed. Yet rather than leaving everything Moderate, they decided that now my ENTIRE STREAM should be set to Restricted... Granted I post some pictures with a sexual content, be it obvious or subtle, but there are a lot of picture which could be considered as safe... Like this one for example.
Now I am waiting AGAIN to see if I can get it changed back to a moderate setting, but seriously it's draining. I feel like giving up, why am I even bothering sometimes? Yet I know I need to fight on and get this sorted, it's not just a place for me to showcase what I can do anymore, it's a matter of principle. Just a message to anyone reading this, please be careful what you're posting and what level of safety you're setting it too... You could end up playing a game of UGH this sucks like I seem to be doing a lot at the moment!!! 
That's my rant over, I just wish this magical Elixir would help solve more problems than just Rudh's pox...

Ice Cream Bobbin's

Summer is finally arriving it seems, and it's HOT! After the last weekend of travelling, and then not one but two of my favourite bands in concert two nights in a row, I'm a little bit worn out! FFDP were great - even though their show was rather short - but Rob Zombie, WOW, the guy did 5 encores! He just kept coming back for more, and I was freaking loving it!!! 
Today though I feel a little floppy and a lot like my head is in the clouds! I need to just take some time out and chillax!!!

Rudh's being cheeky too... My good friend Fin is away at work today, and it means that his very relaxing house is empty... THE POOL LOOKS SOOOOOOOOOO INVITING! He won't mind me using it, least I don't think he will LOL... Especially since I look so cute - wearing a Rebel Hope "Jasmina Bikini" available now at FaMESHed - floating around in his pool, I just wanna hope that I don't get any of my Pink Berry Drip Flamingo Ice Cream in the water!!

Cooling off on the Beach

The summer seems to have finally shown it's pretty warm head here in Holland over the past two days and BLIMEY IT'S HOT!!! I know I shouldn't complain after the long gray Winter that we've had but seriously it's like the temperature has jumped way up and rather than being nice warm, it's humid sticky warm!!! UGH!!! I'm so not a girl that is built for the warm summer weather! Sunshine I love, but not the heat LOL... 
I'm going to take a leaf out of Rudh's book today and head to the beach!!! 

She looks like she's going to have some fun while she cools down!!! I'm a little jealous of her right now! She's on a gorgeous beach at Baja Norte, with an awesome looking Ice Cream that she picked up from Black Bantam and it really looks like there is a cool breeze blowing through her newly styled Pink Hustler Hair. 
She's wearing such an adorable beach-ish outfit, that seems perfect for spring. Sweet, Sugar, Candy Dog

One of the coolest things about summer for me when I was growing up was the Summer Fetes... Fetes tend to be like mini festivals, filled with local performers, local goods and fun and games - one year I even won a goldfish at the fete in our local village LOL... 
In SL these events seem to be more like festivals or carnivals, and that's SO COOL!!! These places can be awesome areas to hang out with friends and family, as well as perfect shopping places and even better photographers backdrops... I know I spent a good while taking pictures at the Wayward Carnival... So much to see and do there and the goodies you can grab are awesome!!! 

I took this awesome photo outside the sweet store, when I bought myself my surprising cotton candy - candy floss for those English people out there, it's taken me AGES to remember it's called Cotton Candy not Candy floss LOL... This is a release from Black Bantam - something I think is connected with another fairly well known brand, Pink Acid I believe?!
The dress however, is not a Wayward Carnival purchase... This one is available at The Instruments from ImmateriA. It is simple, it is pretty, and the textures used in the various different colours are so pretty... The Instrumental theme this month is very vintage, and the ImmateriA dresses fit perfectly within theme, but they would also be perfect for all kinds of other styles and events...
