Good Morning, it's early Monday Morning... The Birds are singing, the sun is rising and there is a promise of a gorgeous Spring day ahead! Sounds wonderful doesn't it?! I'm sure it will be, but there is just one thing that would make it better and that would be that I didn't have to spend the very vast majority of it sitting in a dingy office that makes a girl anything but happy...
So I am going to run free in SL today, dance in the breeze, let the butterflies kiss my face and maybe if I am really lucky I could relax in the SL Sunshine! I know just the place to do it too... I'll go have Just Another Tequila Sunrise!
As I danced across the field in this adorable new dress released from Petite Mort - a dress called Veronica that comes in plain or rose patterned versions at The Instruments until April 25th - a breeze danced around me too making the corn brush against my skin and threatening to pull my hat from my head...

I tend to be one of those people that is a little optimistic about the things that I do in life. I am one of those "I'll give it a try" type people, even if I back those thoughts up with thoughts of doubt... Sometimes I am right and you get no response to the situation, but others there is a surprise that brings a smile to your face.
The fantasy lover in me was drawn out recently, and I have to say I have missed working on something a little more fantasy. It started with a dress - themed for the Game of Thrones, which I admit I know NOTHING about - and finished with a tiny little dragon in a teacup hehe... Let the imagination commence as the Dragon Princess saves a baby dragon from a dark underground world!
The location is amazing, one of those really pretty Role Play sims that I initially thought wouldn't let people in... BUT... They have an observer tag that you can wear and I slipped that on before going exploring, and I was hoping that so long as I stayed out of the way of the action I'd not bother anyone... I'd recommend the sim for fantasy photography - it's Mysts of EYR - and I know that I will definitely be going back to take more photos... It is gorgeous!
The entire reason for the dress and letting my imagination run wild however, not to mention my opening ramble, is that recently I was digging around, looking to see if anyone was accepting new bloggers - I wanted to try my luck and see if I had what it takes... One of those places was Petite Mort. NEVER in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be given a shot, especially considering I hadn't ever blogged their creations before, but OH MY GOD their designs are SO pretty and so varied!
This dress is one from Petite Mort that you can grab for yourself at the latest round of The Instruments, which this month has a Game of Thrones theme. I didn't realise at the time I was taking this picture too but there is someone linked with Dragons in the Game of Thrones - I really may be the only person on the planet that has no idea, and I'm sorry LOL - but the dragon I rescued needed to be freed... I had no way of getting him out except putting him in my tea cup! You can find these dragons - and the matching horns - at the latest Kawaii Project from darkenedStare!
One more thing before I sign off though, I wanted to include a close-up picture which you can see below, just to show off some of the accessorising I did in this fantasy look... LODE's Violet Wreath looked great with the horns, and the eyes that seemed to change as soon as I reached for the dragon. There was a SongBird calling "Soothsayer" nearby, not sure if that was related, but my eyes sure did itch hehe...

At least two of the people that I spend large amounts of my day with are super excited and at least one of those has a count down running... Not for Christmas, but for the release of the new Star Wars movie! Unfortunately it's my hubby and my SL son that are the excited ones, and they are worse than kids at Christmas, these two are like geek boys waiting for a visit from Vadar, and although it can be cute my eyes are getting a lot of rolling exercise LOL...
Our relationship with Athrun started because of Star Wars - so I guess I should thank it really - when he and Hell were making jokes about Hell being his version of Darth Vadar, and as with all of the kids that we've ever adopted, the joke came to mean more, I became a step mum and then just mum to him. He's learning a lot about fashion from his new mum, while his Dad... Well he talks to his dad about Star Wars!
So when the new round of The Instruments started, and it had a familiar theme, there was only one team I could call in to be my models...
This month's round of The Instruments is based on Star Wars, and for the fans there are a heap of awesome goodies to get your hands on. I was a bit daunted to see a set of poses from Come Soon land in my lap, but I shouldn't have worried... The only complaints I heard were "My own lightsaber is better Mum"... They were far too preoccupied telling me that they could pose in the swamp as it's like one of the planets apparently!
They are both wearing outfits, which I am reliably informed are the uniforms of the Sith and Jedi - Sith being HellBone with the Red Lightsaber and Jedi being Athrun with the Blue Lightsaber - from a store called DOUBTFUL MASTER on the Marketplace. The Lightsabers themselves come as props with the Come Soon pose, as do in fact the platform and the space ship.
Maybe I should let these two play for a while, will give me some quiet time... Sounds like a pretty good plan that actually!!! Don't tell Hell, but I'm so smart, I'm Batman!

Star Wars seems to have taken over one of the events this month, and trust me this won't be the only time this month I am writing about it because Come Soon Poses has made some awesome pose props for Star Wars geeks, but for now I wanted to share something and had the best photo prop collection out there... My hubby, my brother and my son LOL...
Though excuse me while I run for my life as this little R2D2 is running away from the fight!!!
The reason I forced myself into at least acting like I like Star Wars was the fault of the event that is The Instruments and the store that I am a blogger for that is (Poisoned Diamond). They made a coo,l hat based on R2D2 for the event, and I managed to pull a dress out of the hoard from Rotten Defiance... A store that has long since closed but whose Items I still dig out from time to time!
Weird that I have so much Star Wars stuff in my inventory when I don't like the movies - I'm even sending Hell to see it with his Mum in RL when it's released LOL - but hey it works at times like this...

One of the coolest things about summer for me when I was growing up was the Summer Fetes... Fetes tend to be like mini festivals, filled with local performers, local goods and fun and games - one year I even won a goldfish at the fete in our local village LOL...
In SL these events seem to be more like festivals or carnivals, and that's SO COOL!!! These places can be awesome areas to hang out with friends and family, as well as perfect shopping places and even better photographers backdrops... I know I spent a good while taking pictures at the Wayward Carnival... So much to see and do there and the goodies you can grab are awesome!!!
I took this awesome photo outside the sweet store, when I bought myself my surprising cotton candy - candy floss for those English people out there, it's taken me AGES to remember it's called Cotton Candy not Candy floss LOL... This is a release from Black Bantam - something I think is connected with another fairly well known brand, Pink Acid I believe?!
The dress however, is not a Wayward Carnival purchase... This one is available at The Instruments from ImmateriA. It is simple, it is pretty, and the textures used in the various different colours are so pretty... The Instrumental theme this month is very vintage, and the ImmateriA dresses fit perfectly within theme, but they would also be perfect for all kinds of other styles and events... Whoever said that things should be stuck in just one category style... Don't miss these dresses, as a staple in your wardrobe they would be ideal!!!

Yesterday was all about Summer Heat, but today I will tell you a little secret... I'm already too hot, and am wishing for the coldness of winter hehe... Sounds weird huh, but as a big girl I don't take to heat too well and I tend to end up feeling pretty bleh, so I will say now, it's not that long till Christmas anymore LOL and so there will be cold weather.
The photo that I have chosen to post today is NOTHING about hot weather, and it features a LOT of snow hehe...
This - what could be a princess but I'm not entirely sure - is running away from the Kingdom of Galanthus. Perhaps she is a princess from a far off land, perhaps she was held prisoner in the icy fortress, we will never know but the blue emblem of her kingdom is emblazened across the back of her soft warm Stark Winter Cloak. Her dress, in the Direwolf style that is so popular amongst the nobility of her people, matches the colour of her cloak perfectly, and to top it all off - the reason that we can assume she's a princess and not just a pretty girl - is that the Winterfell Tiara rests in her curly red locks. The pieces of her outfit can be found at The Instruments this month, as releases for the store ImmateriA, and her hair is a wig from Magika - which was purchased in their 50% off storewide sale this week!

I've just gotten back from my vacation, and it felt like I was a kid in a candy store or it was Christmas morning... There were so many gorgeous things awaiting my attention in my hoard, things I'd logged in just to make sure I didn't miss out on, and things that I had been sent by people I blog for, that I didn't know where to begin... I was pulling outfits together like a crazy person, and I now have so many pretty looks ready and waiting that I am not quite sure where to start when it comes to covering them all!!
All of them are different, all of them are gorgeous... So I have treated it like a lucky dip, the posts are ready to be written and I close my eyes and open one hehe... This happens to be the first of my lucky dip of posts hehe...
This look was inspired by the gorgeous release from Stargazer Creations for this month's round of The Instruments. I love the vibrant colours, and as soon as I saw it I was Bollywood inspired... It comes with the pretty tiara and some VERY large shoulder pads - of which I decided to wear just one... I'm cool like that lol... Besides it would have clashed with my awesome braid, which is a new CATWA release for Cosmopolitan...
I sat for a while and henna tattooed my hands in a Boom design - from Sweet Poison, which perfectly fit with the dress and then all that was needed was a photography location...
I spent AGES looking for somewhere, forgetting the one place that simply screams Indian Elegance... ZAARA!!! Once I was there, it didn't take me long to find a secluded but romantic spot to capture the perfect picture that would represent the Indian Summer heat and showcase this gorgeous dress flawlessly!

Certain genre styles have always been a bit of a mystery to me, I cannot seem to work out how to make them work, if you understand my meaning. I've tried to dress my dolly in other styles - I even tried an urban street style once and cracked myself up so hard that I had to change again hehe - but one of those styles I never get quite right is Steampunk!
It shouldn't be hard, it's Victorian Gothic mixed with the Industrial theme of the historical period. I tend to buy a lot of clothing in a similar style anyway, but I guess I just combine my look differently?!
Still this time I think I have hit the nail on the head... Is there anyone out there that can tell me honestly?
The look was started all because of a romper suit from ImmateriA... Seriously Naenia likes to make me test myself, thank you for that Nae hehe... The outfit itself is called Agatha Sprockette, it includes the headband with it's adorable light bulb shaped wire decoration, and you can grab this look now from the current round of The Instruments. I teamed the outfit with a simple, and yet very well matched although I don't think that it was intentional, pair of boots from lassitude & ennui. These are available in various colours from the Birthday round of We <3 RP... Happy Birthday We <3 RP!!
Though, as per usual, it was the accessories that I went to town on... I just hope they work well with the theme, and that they haven't made it a little confusing hehe...
The accessories kinda gave the look a strange doctorish twist, like something from an evil movie, as I hid behind a Hell Mask from the [BODY FACTORY], whilst clutching my new doctors style bag from nefarious inventions - which you can grab for yourself at The Dark Style Fair 2... I don't normally buy bags in SL, I am an advocate of collecting them in RL but for some reason in SL they have just never been on my radar, then I saw this one... I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. I HAD TO HAVE IT. NOTHING WOULD STOP ME lol... I even fought lag for this bag... Shows dedication right?!
I wore not one but three necklaces with this look too... Get me I am so cool wearing more than one right lol... I had a choker from Kibitz, a Key Necklace from DRD and even a Tag from 7mad;Ravens - all of which I would happily say are some of my go-to stores for things - just to mark that I was a Beast. Possibly akin to Mr Hyde?!
Last but by no means least, the monster in me needed a familiar... I searched high and low for something that seemed even a little monsterous, and found the perfect thing... At Oneword this month, you can find yourself in the darkness, the most adorable little iBat - you need to check The Horror booth but it's there - and how can you resist something with such pretty eye?!

This week for Strawberry Singh's Monday Meme she looks at things in twos... She calls it the double threat, I call it a twofer and will always say that somethings are better when they come in pairs! Socks, twins, ruined buildings?
OK I went a little literal with the theme of Double Threat by destroying not just one but TWO buildings?! All I can say is that I was controlled by the gorgeous new outfit from ImmateriA called Wishing - which are better in twos or threes by the way - and my pretty new Ax love from The Horror... I even wore double buns in my hair thanks to the new Magika Wishes style... Funny how that happened and I didn't even realise at the time, lots of doubles and double the wish power too hehe...

Two online screen names you’ve had: Before I became Rudh, I only had ONE screen name. I used to play an online community game that was a bit like SL but a lot less cool called Furcadia. In that I was a green squirrel called Rosto!
Two video games you've played: True Video Games I don't ever really play, I have very bad motion sickness and cannot watch the screen if there is a lot of movement, but I did play Sims for a while and HellBone used to have a game for the PS3 called Fairytale Fights which I enjoyed played a little.
Two things you love about Second Life: Playing with Rudh like she is a Barbie Doll... I couldn't wear half the stuff I dress her in in RL. The second thing would have to be the fact that I have friends ALL OVER THE WORLD that I would never have met in RL but couldn't be without now.
Two things you've done in Second Life: Met the man of my dreams - or possibly nightmares? - my RL Husband and I met in SL! Oh and FLYING lol... I still wish we could do that in RL!
Two things you still want to do in Second Life: I want to carry on getting better at photography. I've gotten a LOT better since I started but I'm still not at the level I want to be. I'd also like to make an outfit in the future, I am a keen shoppaholic, I LOVE to buy things I can't resist but just once I'd like to try making something by Rudh for Rudh hehe...
Two things you like about your Second Life avatar: I love to dress up my Rudh Dolly, and I love that the people I met in SL always have the ability to make me smile no matter what drama is going on.
Two of your Second Life Pet Peeves: OH I so agree with Berry, at least for one of hers, I get so narked by people sending random TPs - or Mass IMs for that matter - without talking to me first! I guess the second thing that would be a pet peeve - drama llama's aside - could be LAG! I mean OK I get that the SL world keeps evolving and I get that it's not always LL's fault, but the game sucks computers up and leaves them shrivelled like raisins just so that we can play!
Two things you did as a newb that you’re embarrassed of: I don't think I would say anything embarrassed me that much because EVERYONE does the same stuff... OK I agree with Berry that Bling and Attaching Boxes to your head was funny looking back on it but I wouldn't say it was embarrassing so I'm gonna have to pass on this one!

Valentines is coming... I cannot actually say that I am thrilled it's coming. Unlike some of the more exciting holidays - Halloween, Christmas and International Talk Like A Pirate Day for example - Valentines Day, to me falls a little flat... I love HellBone, I have him here with me everyday, and everyday should be about love not just one day a year! I doubt I am the only person thinking this way, but to me Valentines seems even more commercialised than Christmas and that says something!
Still there are so many adorable new releases, pouring out of the stores in SL, that I am trying to ignore the blah thoughts of this holiday and think of all the goodies I am getting my grubby hands on. Hearts are cute but I just wish there wasn't such an abundance of them at this time of year LOL... BAH HUMBUG!!!
Anyway although I complain, I will admit that some of the pretties coming in have to be shared... Some are very Valentine-y (Yes I know that's not a real word) and others are less so... BUT Pretties are pretties, and so to share these off a little I've created good and bad somewhat angellic versions of myself LOL...
The good version of Angellic me looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth! Sweet, innocent and purely angellic in every way! Her outfit is a new release from ImmateriA for the latest round of The Instruments. These outfits are available in three different colours, each in eye popping tones with dark strapping to make them stand out! Simple yet adorable, that's what Rudh likes to see hehe... The accessories for this look were NOT so simple LOL... Her halo - well May's Soul Halo actually - is pinned into her adorable Ploom Eskimo braided updo. Her brilliant red hair, matching perfectly with the colour of the new wings she chose from the Remarkable Oblivion store - called Eternity in Lust by the way. Her hands were strapped tight in ribbons of the MUKA Burlesque. All it took to make this little angel happy was a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows from Half-Deer and a XOXO Donut from katat0nik!
As with her good sister, the bad Angellic me was strapped with the MUKA Burlesque ribbons, and her hair is that brilliant red colour, but that is where the similarities stop! This little angel is more akin with the devilish kind!
Lazing back on her chair this DevilAngel is nothing like her sister... Her ripped pants and wrap top complete with it's dildo carrying abilities from The Bishes Inc - a hunt prize too so free no less - is a far cry from the pretty outfit that Angel me is wearing... Her stomach scarred and scrawled all over with the truth. Her head adorned with horns - from Half-Deer - as she abandons her halo, it's a fake anyway from Remarkable Oblivion and her paper wings from yumyums, checking the buckles on her brand new SAKIDE Thrift Store boots before letting her hair fall loose as she begins to eat the heart she just stole...
While both angels lounge in the clouds, they are keeping the seats of the cupid - there has to be more than one to fire that many arrows, he's not Santa after all!! - these awesome pose props, and there is one other similar too - are available from Signature Pose and can be found at the latest round of Pose Me Amazing. Good Angel me is perched sweetly on the Her Heart seat, whilst Bad Angel me flopped onto the Ti Amo Chair... As always with Signature Pose the poses are great, the props are adorable and well, if I wasn't so anti-Valentines day I know I would be screaming from the roof tops about these hehe...
