Caught in their Webs!

For Halloween, there are a few things that I ALWAYS find myself looking forward to playing around at dress-up for... Clowns, Monsters and all things dark and depraved... Things that make people shudder, one of the most reoccuring, every year for me, tends to be the Arachnids... I am a Spidy Lady...

I admit I'm not spider fan, I don't like the creepy crawlie feeling as it makes me feel kinda skeevy and shuddery and gross... I will admit that I LOVE Spiders eating the annoying flies that bug me in my home... 
Incy Wincy Spider is a Queen on Halloween... Adorable as pets in Second Life, not so much in Real Life, those can stay away from me...

Rudhbow Brite!

I am an 80's child, born in 1986 and raised through the 90's I look back on my childhood fondly. I've been thinking about having children of my own lately, and although I love kids I wonder what kind of Mum I'd make. I'm still too much of a kid mentally, I love doing things that are childish and I wonder would I be any good if I had to be the example... It's not something that I need to think about, it won't be happening for a while... 
I'll just use the time to look back on my childhood and one of my favourite characters... Rainbows are EVERYWHERE in SL at the moment, thanks to Pride, but there's always ONE Rainbow that sticks out... 

RAINBOW BRITE was one of my favourite characters, and I LOVED her stories, her companions and her colourful happy nature... 
I will never be able to make a perfect version, but today I pay homage to Rainbow Brite, in my own Rudhbow Brite... Like Rainbow Brite I've some amazing companions, a rainbow Unicorn Balloon - created by Aardvark, available at ACCESS - that she rides through the clouds, whilst her Juicebox companions - created by MishMish and available at Kustom9 - float along with her in their "Up Up & Away" Mini Hot Air Balloons - from Simply Shelby, available until June 22nd at Cosmopolitan...

Walking amongst the Birds

I've had a very lovely, very peaceful day off, doing a few chores around the house and spending time sorting plans of what I wantd to blog. I've been going through stuff that I need to start paying attention to as I'm going to be starting a rigorous training programme to become an assistant manager at work. I've been taking care of and cleaning my new cabinet that I rescued from the garbage heap, and it's made me insanely happy. 
I even got to take a lovely walk in the park with my grumpy old diva doggy... Rudh on the other hand had a walk somewhere a little more fantastical, a little more tropical and because she's a little magical, there was a lot of magic to be had... 

While the fairy version of Rudh was taking a walk, her adventure lead her to the heart of the the Jungle - which in this case is actually a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and to the discovery of the Roselle plant. This plant is a magical shrub that blooms with the most beautiful hibiscus flowers, and the vines make the most amazing floral Roselle Sandals - from Pure Poison - and these shoes bring in the most beautiful friends to join me on my walk. Now I know why Disney's Pocahontas had her little hummingbird friend Flit with her, these little hummingbirds - from MishMish - are some of the most adorable friends to have in the entire Second Life world...

Sunflowers in the Bath

I've had a super busy three days, I have barely seen or done anything besides working, eating and sleeping... I need time to sleep and feel rested, I feel a need to have a day to myself and maybe I get a chance to relax for a day tomorrow. 
I think I am going to take myself a LONG, hot bath... Some deliciously sweet scented bubbles, a hot cuppa tea and possibly some relaxing music. I'll close my eyes as I sink into the bubbly water, then let myself breathe deep and relax... I'll let my mind wander, I'll let my mind drift and find somewhere magical to rest... 

My mind wandered to a place where the fairies go to relax, as the bath steam cleared, I spotted the prettiest of fairies running herself a bath surrounded by the flowers that she is named for... The Sunflower Fae, dressed in her adorable Sunflower Hat - from Evil Baby and Colorfuel - and her skin painted with the markings of the Sunflowers leaves... Running a long, hot bath to wile away the sunset evening!

Wanna go on a Dark Adventure?

Yesterday was the grand opening of our Halloween event creation...
Dark Adventures was born due to a realization that now that the Gators MC is no more, we would miss the super awesome Halloween events that we'd created for the past 8 years. Creating a new team and getting to work in July with HellBone leading the team, we're now more than a little excited to welcome you, strap you in tight and welcome you on our very first Dark Adventure! 
Pack your bags - don't forget spare underwear, I'm told it's pretty scary - we're leaving on the first plane outta here, a round the world tour awaits!! 

The stewardess is here to collect you at the start of the adventure... Follow your fellow companion, Percy the Pigeon, through the maze of an airport until you make it through and can catch your flight... You'll then go on a round the world tour and it will be the ride of your life!!

Neon to Light the Night...

I'm not really in the mood to do anything other than just sleep for the next few weeks... An emotional weekend, a lot of drama and a possible third wave of Covid across Europe, it's just not looking very positive in my head right now... 
I'm just going to close my eyes and think of something bright and sparkly to make myself smile... 

Doing that has worked, it's taken me to a magical place where I seem to be away with the fairies and the sparkles are brightening my mood, giving me a neon glow and making everything seem less dramatic...

A Necrosis Party for the Summer of Goth

Today is the opening of the brand new round of Necrosis, that dark and macabre corner of the SL Events that happens every now and again! This time we're heading for the Summer of Goth... For the next few weeks, Second Life will be getting just that little bit darker as we slap on our Goth Factor 666 Sunscreen and enjoy those days in the shade as the goth-kind are out for the summer! 

What better way than to start the summer and the event off than with a BBQ in the gloomy evening light?!

At the Block Party in our backyard, we have some burgers and bangers on the amazing casket BBQ Grill - from Immoral Designs at Necrosis - and we have plenty of beer on ice. The bikers are turning up, there's one of the bikes parked up by the fence - it's the Suicide Skull from Hogs & Cart Wheels by the way - driven over by HellBone as he came to bring me more burgers and beer! 

Now that the foods-a-cookin' now it's time to slap on our factor 666 Spookshow Goth Block, dress up in our best Dead End Shirt - a top from Beauty of Darkness - and some Sunny Sunglasses - from Normandy - to block out the last of the day's rays...

In the Scientist's Lab

In the dark tower there's a very special laboratory. this laboratory is the darkest and most secret of places. A strange little man calls this place home... He works all day surrounded by the sounds of rats scuttling across the floorboards and the lightning flashing through the cracks in the walls... No one dares disturb his work, no one even knows he's there, the rest of the crumbling house is barely inhabited... The only other truly living being is his daughter, she alone can distract him, make sure he's fed and not lost to his work, although his latest work scares her just a little... She's scared of the noises it makes... 

Mostly the post today is a little bit of a look of the day, but I have to say that this outfit is one of my recent favourites... The location is also a little bit special too, it's a little bit of a tease for something very special that is happening later in the year! 
The outfit is made up of a dress called Evelyn from Bauhaus at Uber- while you're out shopping grab the adorable hair from Foxy at Collabor88 - it's not my usual style, but it was just SO PRETTY, I fell in love as I tried it on! I also snatched up at the new round of Kustom9 a pair of the awesome random.Matter Fester Pince Nez... Aren't they cute and a little steampunky?!

Yes... I am a Crazy Cat Lady!

I LOVE Lazy Sundays, the only thing wrong with them is that it means tomorrow is Monday and the start of another working week! Dun Dun Dunnnnnnn... 
I'm spending the day relaxing and reading a book, and playing with my RL Furbabies... This left Rudh to her own devices too, but then she like me has similar hobbies and spent most of the day pampering her fur babies! Though when she does it, she looks glamorous, a little like a Lady of the Manor! 

The lady of the manor look was actually all started because of the most amazing kitty themed pose prop in the universe... A mainstore Gacha release from Image Essentials called "Crazy Cat Lady" - with this pose and sofa props being the Ultra Rare! - the store's designer, Kay Weston, gives us a glance into the minds of our local Crazy Cat Lady's. We all know one, in fact when I grow up it's what I'm aspiring to be!! If HellBone will let me of course! 
SO anyway, recently I shared a post about the Queen's in my life... Momma Lou and Momma Phe. Momma Phe is the one that inspires me to fully appreciate my inner crazy cat lady! When I grow up I wanna be a Crazy Cat Lady Queen just like my Kitty Momma!!!

It's Hot in the Cacti

FINALLY IT'S FRIDAY, but oh my gosh it's getting damn hot and more than a little humid. I keep turning my airconditioner on and then off again, it shouldn't have to be running all the time at the moment LOL! It's not even June until tomorrow... Here comes the summer heat, and I'm already dreading it! 
It's FAR TOO HOT ALREADY!!!

Like sitting in the middle of the desert, except in Holland there's less dry heat and more take two steps and sweat your butt off heat!! You know me though, when something happens in RL, it seems to be amplified through Rudh and pictures are created, and that is exactly what happened today. I guess you could say it's a bit of a look of the day, but heat aside it was inspired by some AWESOME shoes...
These shoes are from Pure Poison, and they are the Arizona Sandals. I have to admit I have a bit of an addiction to cacti in RL, so when I saw these I had to have them... I added an adorable pair of anklets from Ama that you can grab now at Whimsical... BUT I have to admit they aren't that clear in the photo, so being good I've added the ad boards. 
To dress the rest of my body, I chose something simple yet girlie, and also bearing a hidden surprise depending on the dress you choose hehe... It's a dress by MuggleBorn - that's available at Something Extra, which gives you a hint of the surprise!!

Sins Unleashed... Envy is a Green Eyed Monster

OK So I'm still at home, and my posts will be and have already been somewhat sporadic... I'm just taking time out to spend time with the family and read a few good books - by a few I've already read two LOL... Yet you know me and my addiction to my blog. I cannot resist taking a few minutes to sit and write something.
Today I'm back thinking about the Seven Deadly Sins... I have two more to be released since the unleashing by Image Essentials at the beginning of March. Today it's the turn of Envy to break her way into the limelight, she's been watching and waiting, envious of the attention the other sins have gotten, and now it's time for her to shine... 

Envy found her way into one of the most envious and catty lifestyles... Don't ask how, but she's there as a queen of the fashion world - she;s joined the Pseudo Agency.
Not ever one to let her demonic attributes ruin a glittering modelling career, she joined where the sin is so predominant... Jealous, Rage and Envy take the forefront of this job market, at least they do if you've ever seen some of the bigger Hollywood movies about it, and let's face it, that's as close as I'm ever really going to get LOL... 
Her dress is one of Belle Epoque, and she accessorises with pearls - dahling lol... Yet the look of envy is in her eyes... Those green eyes, that share her jealousy and longing!! 
That's 6 of 7 sins... I wonder how and when we will discover one of my remaining favourites... Gluttony is hiding someone, maybe in the nearest bakers?!

Retro Dancer

Sometimes you have to dance like no one is watching... Twirling around, swaying in time, dancing and singing and trying not to trip over the cat... 
I LOVE music, and will always have something on in the house, whether it's pop music on the radio or I've thrown some of my favourite tunes onto the stereo, I find dancing helps me to feel good... 

Normally in my house we have lots of loud metal but sometimes you get other kinds of music that just make me wanna dance... I used to listen to a lot of 60s music. I loved certain things and would rock out with my friends at parties to them... 
So this is a look for that, a look that was able to come out because of the recent rounds of Collabor88 and Uber!! The boots were from Pure Poison and the dress was from Hucci.

Trapped in Burning Glass

It's HOT today... So hot it feels sweltering and stifling and oppressive almost... Ideally, I'd like to be sitting somewhere cool, in the shade and the breeze with a cold drink in my hand but unfortunately no such luck. I have to work, and that's all there is to it, so I'm stuck behind my PC - yes I'm working here in my underwear LOL - and I feel stuck... 
Going to share with you an image I took of Rudh, in a similar predicament. It was something that I was working on while I felt artistic one day, and I'm not sure what people will think, but I personally love it!!!
Trapped somewhere strange and foreboding, poor little Rudh is being held hostage by some weird cyborg like creatures... All she can do is cower behind the glass of the cage that they put her in, and hope that she can withstand the heat! 

I'm not responsible for the set of this photo, the setting is one of the awesome photo locations at WHOLE WHEAT and yes I am a little bit addicted to using their sets, but that's because they are so very well put together, and are free for everyone to use!
Her warrior like outfit is made up of a collection of different mismatched things, including something from the SOON TO CLOSE round of Memento Mori - in fact it may have even just closed as I write this - which is this awesome Strappy Mess - from le fil casse - that wraps around your body to cover all the naughty bits. Over the top of the straps, for a little more protection - although it too doesn't cover very much - is the Kaithleen's Chain Mail Armor.
She dresses herself with some Infierno Heels that will be handy in war, and a Cureless Mask to mark the Twelfth Night of battle. Something so fearsome it would scare even the bravest opponent.

BishBox Made Me Do It!

I'm sure by now that you will have heard of the new craze for 'Loot Boxes' in SL... It's swept through the SL fashion world with almost as much gusto as the Gacha craze, but unlike Gacha I'm not so keen on this concept. With Gacha, yes it's a game of chance but at least you know what you are paying for - even if you may not want the particular item that you get, you could at least give it to someone as a gift - but the 'Loot Box' items are unknowns that you pay for in advance. Now don't get me wrong, I do like surprises, and can understand that 10 different exclusives from a great collection of designers is worth the money - at least some may say so - but personally I prefer to know what I'm spending my few pennies on. I always try on demos, and am careful with what I do and do not buy... 
HOWEVER, this month, my sister Solde - who LOVES the loot boxes and subscribes to a fair few of them - decided to treat me to a BishBox, and this month at least I was excited with everything in it!!!

The theme of this month's BishBox was grunge and I LOVE to dress in that way, it seems to be my common look lol. I had totally forgotten about it until it appeared in my inventory at which point I got overly excited!
The look - I guess it's another look-of-the-day - is one created from the BishBox items...

Rudh joined the Mickey Mouse Army

Monday Morning, June 20th, and it's raining! It's a true Summers Day here in this part of Europe... One of the funniest realisations came to me this morning... When I initially moved to Holland, all of the Dutch people would tell me that the weather here was better than it is in the UK... NEWS FLASH TO THE DUTCHIES OUT THERE - the weather here is no different to the weather in the UK, it's windier, true, but it rains just as much!!
Still as it's Monday, it's time for me to pull up my big girl panties and swing into fighter mode... I have to work with someone I'm sure you've heard me complain about before, and right now I need to be ready... Perhaps channelling Rudh's latest Army style will give me the power to fight and ignore the irritations in the office?!

This fighter in the Mickey Mouse Army, just happens to be Rudh! She's enjoying a moment's peace - and some WHOLE WHEAT - while she prepares to face any drama that may come her way, and unfortunately knowing SL as well as I do, that won't be too far away.

Kitten Spies... here to help!

Do you ever wish that you had a little extra help when you're getting ready for a night out? Someone to help you zip up that sexy little black dress, or hold the mirror as you put your make-up on? Lord alone knows I could do with someone...
Today though as I was getting ready for the Gators MC 3rd Birthday Celebrations Day TWO I was slipping into a new LBD, and suddenly I heard a rustling across the floor as the box from my dress moved towards me... In that same moment the zipper of the LBD was pulled up... I turned fast on my heels but there was no one there... It sent a shiver down my spine... Someone snuck in an out without me noticing and zipped up my dress, it's like having an angel there to lend a hand...

I later found out that it was secret super agent kittens!!! The rustling in the delivery box was actually a watch kitty, while my dress was zipped up by a helpful kitten on a zip cord! 
LOL sometimes I really get carried away with my stories right?! Basically though today's blog is in aid of something that I feel I need to try out even though I don't think that I will be one of the lucky chosen few! Don't know unless you try right? Collabor88 is holding a search for bloggers! It's a long shot, there are so many amazing photographers sending in their pictures BUT I had to at least give it a try! 
The Kittens are MishMish releases for this month's Collabor88 Spy themed round... Available as an animated pet or as décor kitties - which come in a set of 4 by the way - I knew that I would need these little critters, and it was made especially so when I saw the dress I am wearing... 
It was the dress that made everything for this photo fall into place in my head... I could instantly see the little kitty on a zip line helping me zip up my new Dead Dollz dress... Dead Dollz made the Nikita Dresses in zipped and unzipped versions, and you get BOTH when you buy your colour of choice!!! I love the dress teamed with these amazing Strings Pumps from Pure Poison too... and there was I thinking that this month there wasn't a lot at Collabor88 that I needed in my life hehe... I guess I was lying to myself!

BeetleRudh RudieJuice

Normally you will hear me complaining about the fact that it's Monday Morning and the weekend was over in the blink of an eye... This time though something a little strange is about to happen because I have blinked my eye and I am actually kinda glad that the weekend is over and I can have a rest LOL... My father was over in RL for a visit this weekend, and don't get me wrong I love him to bits, but he is like a box of frogs - hopping around all over the place and never staying still for more than a few minutes...
It's driven me a little crazy and actually made me kinda desperate to get some sleep LOL... Start the countdown until next weekend, and for now bring on the crazy!!

Today I am BeetleRudh - YES that is a play on BeetleJuice and it is purely and simply the fault of Collabor88 and it's design team! This month for Collabor88 they are looking at the movies of Tim Burton, hence why I have taken on a look that is a little more BeetleJuice than I've done before hehe... I LOVED playing around with this look, and the location seemed pretty perfect! It's a location within The Nightmare Event's Quest... Don't miss out on this there are some fab prizes to be grabbed for collecting all of the hidden pumpkins!
So yeah, ummmm Collabor88 seems to dominate this look LOL... Starting from the top and working down, I have Exile's new Strange and Unusual Hair on my head, which looks cute with or without the bow! The outfit was the key reason for putting this look together as it is... I fell for these awesome Rompersuits called Beetle J from Katat0nik, and then spent far too long debating the colour with myself... In the end I knew that black and white would win, but it was a very tough call! Then I completed my Collabor88 BeetleRudh look with these awesome Pure Poison Adrianna Boots! Just a simple Nailed Choker to accessorise, the one from NOX was perfect, and that was it...

Follow the Wooden Stump Road...

The Arcade - unless you have been completely oblivious and have no idea what I am talking about, you may have noticed - is well underway... Up and running for the entire month of March... As always, it seems pretty brilliant and an understandable reason why people get so excited about it each and every time! It's like a feeding frenzy in a shark tank! It could have been handy for people looking to get interesting birthday gifts for me too - just sayin' lol - if I hadn't already been in and raided the place myself!
I LOVED collecting things for my little play house... This place takes me away to somewhere peaceful, somewhere fun and somewhere that I can just escape to play! So while I was setting out my new toys, I had a feeling that made me giggle, it was something akin to Dorothy's feelings as she arrived in Oz... I spend most of my time surrounded by bikers, this was a bit of "you're setting out cute toys, this seems totally opposite to normal" moment LOL...

As you can see though the entrance to my garden follows a wooden stump path - thanks to Alchemy by the way - that directs you towards my toy house! My garden has now been decorated with some awesome Lego style plastic looking flowers too. I know these aren't to everyone's taste but I couldn't resist the [tea.s] Block-ee Flowers. The inhabitants of this adorable place are plushie animals! They float in the breeze attached to balloons - such as the Fly Away Bear from Boogers - and are Petal Pals to the flowers - available from Intrigue Co at The Arcade - each smiling and giving a warm welcome to anyone who visits! 
Whilst on my trip to this strange land, something rather weird happened to my dog! What started out as a perfectly normal looking Weenie Dog - bought just a few days ago from the SilentSparrow Pet Store, found at The Arcade - in our travel to this new found land he somehow became a Weenie Weenie Dog!
On my feet were a Rudhish style pair of "Ruby Slippers" - they'd be better described as Tropicano Heels in a bright magenta colour - from Bens Beauty, now off to skip down the wooden stump road!

So to the rest of my awesome "Not Kansas Anymore" outfit... Some of it is new, some old but I think the combination is just the right amount of kookie!
The dress I am wearing is one of the older things, but it's been stored neatly away until I can find it for a moment like this. It's a Somnia release called City Scape - in a Day pattern, there is also a Night version to match, and it comes with cloudy leggings.
Then I went to town with my accessories... The horns on my head were made of Pinkberry Ice Cream - that are available from Riske at the Luck of the Irish Gacha Fair - my lips are slicked with green lipstick and dusted with sprinkles, I knew I shouldn´t have made out with that donut -  but thanks to Babysteps for letting cover their Skin Fair Release, the Baby Butter Lips! There is yet MORE yummies in the form of my (Yummy) Spec-tacular Edible Specs...
The only other thing that I took with me is a basket that I found when I landed, you never know when things like that might come in useful... You see it did with me, I found two Wonderland Pixicat Kittens that needed my help, I couldn't have taken them with me without the basket...
