Allergies Be Gone!

Allergies are one of the weirdest ailments that we seem to suffer from... It's always made me wonder about the amazingness of humans when some people are allergic to somethings and others are not. I know that we're all different but then you add something like that to the mix it's just another amazing thing, in a world full of amazing... There are so many things people are allergic too, and that can change any time. I'm just glad some of the worst ones aren't things I suffer with... 

I have a colleague that had a lactose intolerance and because she worked in the cheese shop and tasted small amounts every day she seemed to cure herself, whilst a friend of mine at university ate pasta and noodles for every meal and ended up with a gluten intolerance lol... It's amazing how these things can be affected by the way we live our lives... 
I don't think I have an allergy to anything, but I am MAJORLY against the heat... It's been boiling here for the past few days and while I LOVE the early morning sun and the cooler evenings, the height of the heat in the middle of the day can just bite me... 
SO aside from the rambling I want to say to those that do suffer I'm sorry... Welcoming the Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter Sunday, it's Easter, it's Zombie Jesus Day and it's the day when chocolate for breakfast is actually required rather than frowned upon... 
I used to love Easter Sundays because Mum would play the game of being our Easter Bunny and hide mini chocolate eggs all over the house and then invariably my sister and I would not only be finding eggs all morning but we would find them randomly for the next few months too LOL... I'm not a religious girl, but would never turn down a chance to find chocolate everywhere... 

Since I'm a little bit too old for being allowed to hunt chocolate eggs, although Hell did provide me with some delicious Cadbury's Mini Eggs this morning, but the only way I'd be getting on the fun would be via the chance to slip into a little Easter Bunny moment of my own... Thank goodness for being able to do just that in Second Life hehe...
There's a whole garden in Silverlake Meadows - which is a gorgeous backdrop from FOXCITY, that is available for a few days longer at Kustom9 - where the Easter Eggs - from Simply Shelby - are found resting between the Grass rabbits and their living counterparts, which because it's a fairytale realm come in candy painted rainbow colours...

St.Patrick's Day

It's St.Patrick's Day today... Traditionally only a special day in Ireland, it seems like it's slowly seeping out into the world, and I kinda get the feeling it's become more of a thing in America now than Ireland even. Maybe I'm wrong, but anyone that I spoke to today that seemed to be celebrating was not current Irish but of Irish decent... Funny how traditions shift and change throughout the world isn't it? Wonder why St.Patrick's Day become such a phenomenon, but things like St.George's Day - which is a patron saint day of the English - for example, was less of a thing... I mean everyone celebrates their own chosen things, personally outside of SL I wouldn't be doing anything for St.Patrick's Day but in SL is a whole different story... 

I've seen so many people partying and enjoying their St.Patrick's Day celebrations in Second Life and I think that's bloody awesome... I really do... I've always been like that and lately I'm a LOT less like the party animal I once was. I spend far too much time on my own at the moment, I think I should make some new friends or hang out with the old ones that I still have... I wanted to do something different, something more my usual loner style at the moment... Something with a hint of magic, something to test myself with practising decor pictures... 
Today, I heard a noise in the shed... When I snuck down there was a magical air to the place, the table top where I am learning the new art of flower pressing and drying for arts sake had some gorgeous little bright green shamrocks all over it... Gold coins glittered in the rainbow light, and there was a mysterious hat on the table that wasn't there when I left the shed earlier... 
So for now I'm going to set up a trap and wait to see if there is a Leprechaun exploring my shed, until then, Happy St.Patrick's Day...

Valentine Treats

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am working and we are moving on Sunday so I have no plans to do much of anything... PLUS I don't really like Valentines anyway, unless you haven't guessed it. I'm not totally anti it, I definitely believe in love but I don't really feel ike Love should just be celebrated on one day... Love is an eternal thing, a thing that should be cherished always... So I'm celebrating the sweetness, the adorableness, and the happiness, all the while my Hubby is watching Friday the 13th and scaring the shit out of me LOL... 

So normally I'd wait until after Valentine's to get my hands on TONNES of discounted chocolates that I needed but sometimes in the middle of al of the chaos a girl needs a little chococlate treat... Now I am planning to do something delicious with all of that Valentine's Candy but I wanted it to be something a little different too, after all, it's not your everyday run of the mill boring kinda candy... 
Maybe I'll enjoy a little Halloween Candy Fondue... Some yummy sweet treats for dipping in the melted chocolate and plenty of lovehearts all around... It all smells so delicious and sweet that it's lured in the Sweet in Pink Flying Hearts - which are part of a set of good and bad hearts from Snuggle&Co for the current group gift - who want to join in the Valentine's Sweet Treat...

Wandering into Wonderland

Honestly I'm OVER Valentine's already but wanted to do something with hearts and flowers and a little cuteness to at least try and stay with the romantic feels... I spent a long time dreaming of what I could do that would make me smile and feel a little less grumpy than I have been and I seem to have drifted off into a dream land... When I woke up I was drifting into a magical place, a Wonderland of my own... 

The mirror in my room, started to get a little hazy, there was a certain amount of magic that seemed to be floating through the mirror and so I decided to let it see where it would take me and what wonderful things would happen... The mirror's reflection drew me in, as I got close it started to change, and before I knew it, I was stepping through into Wonderland... 
As I stepped through, the mirrors magic dressed me for the part, an outfit fit for Lewis Carroll himself and most wonderfully weird and wonderful imaginings...

Milk, Cookies & Cowgirls!

This weekend is Valentine's Weekend and that mean the world is filled with hearts and flowers and romance and sweetness... I am not really a sweet romance kinda girl, I love doing things with my hubby but we're definitely not a romantic pair... We tend to end up doing silly things that make us laugh more than anything... 
Still I'm going to try and get some cute, random, fun in before the holiday and that means after this week I'm done with romance LOL... 

So for today, now that I'm done with work, I'm going to spend a few days at the farm in RL doing a little bit of tidying up, I might also find myself a cute farm hand to enjoy a roll in the hay with. Either that or the cow girl in me will find a way to make sure there is some extra money earnt for the farm by being cute and setting up a kissing booth - which is actually part of the backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis.

Prepping the Bad Magic before Valentine's

Ahhh Wednesday, thank fuck you're finally done for me and I have the day off tomorrow... I NEED to have some time to relax, although with the building preparations and having to pack umore stuff I think I have a lot more to do than I might have anticipated LOL.... 
For tonight I'm going to kick back and work a little magic... The month of the hearts and flowers and romance is alomost upon us and for the next couple of weeks everything will no doubt be full of Valentine's sweetness... I'm not a Valentine fan, can't it be Halloween again?! Perhaps I need to find a way... 

Now if there is one thing I do know is that Monster Smut is often a good way to enjoy the romance and seduction without things being too sickly sweet... Since starting my reading journey I've discovered a LOT of new things that are somewhat intriguing... 
I've decided to let the bood thirsty monster out of myself, I'm going to let her let her hair down and plan her Valentine season... No mush, no sickly sweet, not even a card, just dark Valentine funsies... She's already preparing herself, she's had something to drink and has been to see the magical beings of the Midnight Order - which runs until February 20th by the way - to pick up some Love Potion and a Blood Vial - from Ritual - so that she can get started...

What Can I Getcha?

I should stop taking the time to work on blog pictures when I am hungry, at least that's what I try and tell myself but I'm not sure how well that will ever work. I tend to start working on something bloggish before I've even had my breakfast in the morning and then I get distracted, PLUS I love collecting food in SL. I guess it's one of my guilty pleasure collections, and I own up to my collecting addiction... If I ever get bored in SL, maybe I should open a diner... 

You'd be welcomed in with a smile and a "Welcome to Rudhie's Retro Yums Diner"... The menu would be filled with some super delicious delights. I am partial to a burger, whether that is a Chicken Burger - like the one from Junk Food which is central in the picture - or a Hamburger - on the right from Lucas Lameth, the 1950s Diner Burger - or even perhaps a hugely stacked Club Sandwich - also from Lucas Lameth - with a side of fries or chips, crisps if you are like me and a little bit British... I'd serve cold sodas and thick shakes, hot coffee and fancy teas in tea pots... I might even serve cake, it's have to be cake because I'm a cake rather than pie kinda girl...

New Year's Glam

Today is New Year's Eve and I'm happy to report that I am going to be celebrating with my parents in the UK... SO yes, technically I am away and not really able to function much on SL, but you should know me better than this, you should know that I am addicted and cannot pass a special event like the changing of the year without actually acknowledging things... 
Let's make things a little more festively sparkly for the changing of the year shall we... 

I wasn't sure what I wanted my last picture for 2025 to be, it took a little while but I KNEW I wanted to do somethin reasonably New Year's Glam ish... I'm not doing anything glam in my RL, just a quiet night with my parents probably watching the Christmas episode of Strictly Come Dancing LOL... AND I am very very very happy with that plan... I avoided the Dutch Firework Chaos after all...

A Feast for the Festive Days

Well Ladies and Gents, that's it... We've made it to the most festive few days of the year... Christmas is upon us and people will be celebrating either tomorrow or Thursday, depending on where you are and what your traditions have always been... I'm going to be working tomorrow, and I get to work my butt off on Thursday to make a Christmas dinner for my hubby and monster-in-law, but it won't be long and before we know it, it will have passed us by once more... Enjoy it while we can... 

I spent a long time trying to work out what I wanted to do as my last post for the festive season and I'll be honest, there was a lot of things I really found it hard to do. I wasn't going to do something uber festive, I don't feel special enough at the moment but there is always one thing that will make me happy... FOOD... I'm a collector of the stuff when it comes to Second Life, and I love sitting around sharing foods with friends and family while we chat and spend time together... 
So I'm setting out a picky snacky feast, full of cheese, and other Christmassy nibbles... I've thrown together a few little decorations and there will be champagne to enjoy...

The Gingerbread Slay

Honestly it's hard to believe that it's Christmas week already, even with the fact that it feels like we've been talking about Christmas for ages now, I'm still shocked that it's almost here... Is that weird?! I guess it's because I don't feel ANYWHERE near the Christmas Spirit because there have been so many things dragging my mind into darker places than I've been in a LONG LONG time... I'll talk more about that after the happiness of the festivities are over, but for now I'm going to throw the prettiness into the ring, shake it up and see what happens... The darkness seeped through just a little and took over the gumdrop candy cuteness... 

I am in the mood for a little chaos, a little mayhem and a little evil... I've decided that my version of the Sugar Plum Fairy would rule her little corner of Sugar Land with a somewhat deadly iron fist... Her home at the Gingerbread Manor - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis, that I have actually butchered to use in the background of my picture, and have actually added the official Ad Poster to the bottom of the post... Oh and I'm sorry Synnergy.Tavis, the backdrop is gorgeous but I needed it to be a little different - in the Gingerbread town is perfectly positioned  to watch over her Gingerbread subjects...

Candy Cane Dreams!

I have caught another cold... YAY working in retail is fecking wonderful innit?! I feel like every few weeks I'm coming down with another cold, and it's too late to get a flu jab I think... I'm gonna have to check with the doctor on that one... ANYWAY... It does provide me with the perfect excuse to be able to stay in bed and keep warm... 

I had a strange medicine induced dream today and for some reason I had this dream about being on a Christmas vacation in Whoville... I was looking for the Grinch but I spent far too much time looking for all of the pretty Christmassy things and enjoying the chaos of a Who Christmas that you'd see in the start of the movie... I found the perfect place to have a good little rest from all of that crazy chaos and ended up snuggling in to enjoy a few candycanes before I took a long nap... It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and all I can say is that the festive spirit comes and goes faster than I can blink at the moment. I'm dealing with some feelings and a little bit of trouble in Real Life but I will let you know more about that soon I'm sure... 
Since I have the day off though, and since I'm feeling a bit crappier than normal today I'm going to take it easy, do a little prep for Christmas and read a good book with a delicious treat or two...  

What do I want to make myself feel better today?! I think that I should try to make some cookies, preparation for Santa's visit... Everyone knows that there should always be cookies left out for Santa. I would offer to leave him some delicious home-made chocolate or a fancy Christmas coffee, but I wonder if Santa wouldn't mind a cold coffee instead... I don't think it will be too hot when he gets here?!

Gingerbread Magic!

You can kinda tell I've had the day off today, a much needed day of rest so I can look through all the things I need to work on and see what crazy interesting things I can come up with... I want to find a little magic, I NEED to find a little magic, and I want something to make me feel Christmassy... 
Let's close our eyes and find a little of the Christmas magic... 

One of my favourite things about this time of year is a sudden need for some gingerbread cookies... I haven't eaten them all year, I've been resisting the urge and now I'm going to enjoy them dipped in some coffee... I cannot wait to taste them... 
I find myself a drawn to the magic of the cinnamon, the ginger, the crunch and apparently I'm not the only one... Did you know there is an adorable little fae that is our own little Gingerbread Fae with a mushroom hat - which is a look created by Faunus for this month's round of We Love Roleplay - that loves a candycane, but also enjoys watching the falling snow and the happiness of the gingerbread folks in their Christmassy Gingerbread Town...

Skellington's Christmas Sciences!

Well we've made it to December, the festive season is officially starting and it's all beginning to look a lot like Christmas... I am not feeling very festive at all, and there is a lot more things for me to be worried about and on edge over at the moment, I'll be fine and will hopefully find the Christmas spirit somewhere... 
At the moment I feel a little like Jack Skellington when he was trying to discover Christmas for himself... 

I guess I was thinking about that when my mind was putting together my picture idea today... 
Jack Skellington's home came to mind, the day after he was starting his scientific search for Christmas secrets. I wanted to create something like my dark little mind trying to find the sparkle of Christmas, the magic that comes with all of the decor and treats and fun of Christmas... There was a little elf getting in the way, and my dark little minions decided to lock him away, but there could be a breakthrough...

Gorgon Chained!

You may well know now that I work in a public setting, and there are people that seem to do everything in their power to put you down because you don't have the things they do have. I get that some of the tourists have more material things than others but today those same kinda people basically shoved other people out the way to stuff their face on tasting samples and then complained about the price of the product... I had such a hard time not rolling my eyes, but it brought out a monster in me and although that varies from time to time, the monster of today would be a gorgon LOL... 

I love when my mind takes me to al kinds of different monsterous places, but since I'm watching Wednesday and think that Ajax is the cutest little sweetie so a Gorgon definitely demands my attention... Plus she's the kind of monster that I need when I'm at work sometimes, being able to turn people that look at her hair to stone would definitely help make thing easier when I'm dealing with rude, annoying customers... 
Monsters like her have to be kept chained up for the safety of others, and while she's a little misunderstood, they bound the wrong parts of her... Eyes closed under a blindfold, while her snakes are loose...

Time for a little Dark Magic!

I need a little magic after the events of yesterday, and I'm really sorry but I really hope that the driver of the truck who decided to drive fast through a puddle and therefore soaked me for my whole day at work got caught in traffic with a case of explosive butt pee... There is very little chance that the magic I am channelling will be for good... It's like to be some kind of twisted, dark necromancer magic...  

Luckily in Second Life we are still experincing the magical effects of the Midnight Order. This event will be reaching it's halfway peak over the next few days and there will be plenty more chaos to make those that want the dark magic, able to find it... 
Take it from Rudh, a witness account if you will, one moment she was confessing her sin regarding the explosive butt pee in the Corrupted Churches' Confessional - which is a Midnight Order release from LORE by the way - and the next the magic was swirling as she becomes an Infernal Undead Lady Mortis awaiting her orders by the Necromancer's Necrohex Table - from BROKEN ARROWS also at Midnight Order!

Time for a Sunday Sundae!

It's Sunday, a very lazy Sunday because it's a very HOT Sunday... I've seen people laughing about how people in England complain about the heat, well I'd like to point out that since our homes don't tend to be built to let warmth out but keep it in instead. I admit I HATE hot weather and am looking forward to when it starts to cool down again, but until then and since it's lazy hot Sunday, I think it's time we tried to cool off with a Sundae?!!

I have to be quick with this post since I dont want most of the Ice Cream to melt, the only melted Ice Cream should be that which is used in the making of some fancy Retro Milkshakes - like the ones in the set with the machine from BROKEN ARROWS - whilst the rest of the Ice Cream is used to make some Classic Banana Splits - like the one from Hangry. We have So many delicious toppings, with fruit and chocolate, syrup and whipped cream... 
Seems like our puppy friend couldn't wait though LOL...

Death's Guiding Light

I am currently reading a book that seems to be affecting my moods, and although I'm loving it, Sinner's Sideshow is definitely a place for the dark, kinky and demonic... It's definitely my happy place at the moment, and you may well have realised by now that the darker and more fantasy based I get, the happier I tend to be, so my book is kinda sorta almost reflected in my blog today... I mean Death is a character, NOTHING like I've made death look but ya know... he was on my mind lol... 

My interpretation of Death is one totally removed from the Four Horsemen of the book I'm reading - which by the way is a smut filled story called Carnival Creeps by Aiden Pierce, and is very good but I really suggest you read the Circus Creeps before you try this one or you will get very lost - as in this story he is a big chiselled and muscular warrior ManDragon, but one that is having a relationship with Famine... Whilst my version of Death is much more feminine, magical and lead by thie light that guides her... 
She is bound and chained as she stalks through the darkness, searching for lost souls that are drawn to her like a Moth and Flame - the candle she is carrying is a Moth and Flame from Boutique #187, available until June 11th at SABBATH by the way - so she can reap their souls with her magical Reaper Scythe...

The Teddy Bear's Picnic!

I know sometimes the blogposts that I come up with are random. I love that I don't stick to particular style of picture taking and I find that it lets me relax - as I've said before it's my own personal form of therapy - I never know what will happen when it comes to making pictures and it lets my creativity flow. I can start with one simple item and from that a story develops... Today was one of those days... 
Today I found myself disappearing down a rabbit hole, and into nursery rhyme land...

Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.

I used to love this nursery rhyme... I mean who am I kidding, I still do... I remember as a little kid being in the woods near my home, teddy in hand, as we hunted for the location of the Teddy Bear's Picnic... Apparently it wasn't initially meant to be a song like it is now, the melody was written in 1907 and the lyrics were added later in 1932 - I wonder what the composer thought of the adorable little nursery rhyme his melody became?! 
So today, in my tired and wanting to go back to the UK for a bit brain, I decided to let my mind wander off to the Teddy Bear's Picnic... I packed up a picnic, that wasn't entirely Junk Food, and slipped into a disguise as suggested in the song. I found the most amazing Ursa Bear mask - a head from BeSpoke that can still be picked up at Abnormality until May 28th - so that I could be in disguise...
