Guess what?? I am finally at home!! Not at home in my house in Holland, no this time I mean that I am finally at home with my family in the UK!!! It's not going to be for long, but will actually be just a short break... I am incandescently happy, after waking up in my childhood room this morning, I haven't been able to stop smiling!

So I'm going to share something today that may seem strange, but if you've known me for any length of time you will know that the more macabre a picture, the happier I am lol... Since it's Easter, and a religious holiday, I'm going to do something church related! Not that it's going to appeal to the religious types out there...

Go to the church or the devil will get you... In this case the devil is waiting for you in the one place that she knows she will find you... Church LOL... Random funny story. I was on the ferry travelling from Holland to the UK yesterday and a bunch of little old ladies sat near me started doing a bible reading. They kept giving me funny looks, and I was wondering what the heck was going on till I remembered my FFDP hoodie LOL... Ooops!!!

This outfit is from the same gacha machine that I have talked about before, the ANTINATURAL Post-Human Gacha machine at the current round of Lootbox Gacha Event. It's a Demonic Lootbox, and it's possibly something I fell in love with even more than the angelic version I wore in a previous post. Yet the reason I'm sitting outside this church at Ironwood Hills is actually the fault of the DRD Frankenstomps. I LOVE these new boots, they are awesome, and although I bought the colour pack with a million different options - OK maybe not that much but you know what I mean - they are just soooooooo cute!!!!!

Walking a Lonely Road

I'm feeling a little like I should be in that Greenday song about walking alone today... I swear to goodness that no matter how much I try to stay away from other people's drama it will ALWAYS end up biting me on the big bum I have... I'm sick of other people's drama, and I'm sick of people just using me to their own advantage. There's no need to go into my reasons here, it's lots of little things building up to be one massive need to scream. Instead of scream... Today I am going to Blow everything up... 

So I'm walking a lonely road, after the dust is settling, and I'm trying hard to be a good girl and not blow things up.

A little Cheesy about Amsterdam

Yesterday was an EPIC day... I feel worn out and sleepy and OH MY GOD I discovered muscles that I had no idea I had, the aches and pains LOL... Yet I am elated and walking on a cloud this morning... Yesterday I had a trial day for a possible new job, and when I walked away to get the train home, I was the proud little owner of a new job!!! 
I'm going to be working right in the heart of Amsterdam, surrounded by tourists and dealing with people all over the world as a cheese girl in a popular cheese retailer... YES one of the major exports of Holland is cheese for those of you that don't know. I guess I have a lot to learn... There will be lots of cheesy facts in my head for the time being! 

So today Rudh, and her SL puppy that is probably the closest I'm ever going to get to my RL Dog Izzy, are taking a walk around the streets of Amsterdam. Izzy is a LOT bigger than the Adult Glam Greyhounds - Jian's latest collection - as she's a Saluki and is closer in size to a lurcher... 
Anyway, as I said we decided to take a walk around at I am [SL] Amsterdam, and it really feels like the city that I will be calling my work place once again, and you never know, you may find me there selling cheese LOL...

VIG Status... Very Important Groupie!

Its fairly early... Well let's face it, it's VERY early for me this morning, but I'm awake after a rough night's sleep. I was kept awake due to nerves and thought's of what if... Today I have a trial day for a possible new job in RL, and I'm a ball of nervous excitement even though it's not even 8AM! 
I felt I had a need, I need to channel my inner Rudh, and let her be the confidence that I feel I lack in RL. It's so easy in SL to be a confident little brat, knowing and getting exactly what she wants, but somehow that's always harder to drag into the RL me... 
Rudh is the kind of girl that would be able to be a groupie and sneak backstage... Emily is the kind of girl that would dream of doing so but never find the bravery to do it... Rudh needs to be the one in charge today... 

I realise that makes me sound like I have a bit of a problem, but doesn't everyone feel more confident in their overly made up set of pixels... HECK if I looked a little more like Rudh in RL I may be more able to exude confidence from every pore too... 
At the Backstage of the Concert Hall - a Birdy Backdrop - in Backdrop City, Rudh has decided to sneak in to see her favourite band in the VIP area... Or should that be VIG Area... An area for Very Important Groupies?! 
She's dressed for success, and already got past the burly security guards, but her Birdy Backstage couture will I'm sure impress the band too... I wonder who it is?! 
More to the point if I could only exude just a TINY amount of her confidence then today will not be so bad... I hope!?! Wish me luck!!!

Snack Time for the Mermaid at the Zoo

Ever feel like you need a break, be it a change of routine, a chance to escape from the every day life or even just a different view out the window... 
It's at times like this that I tend to slip into the world of crazy fantasy in my head, and the best characters are created... Sometimes it's fae, others demon but in a few cases I tend to release the inner mermaid into the light... 
Today is a mermaid day! Today, the mermaid that is being held captive at the zoo is being fed her favourite delicacy of goldfish... 

She's the number 1 attraction at the local zoo... They vary her style throughout the day, sometimes she has a tail and others the water is drained so she's on her skinny legs. She's fed in a punchbowl full of sparkling water and goldfish, which she's developed a habit for drinking in wineglasses - thanks to the awesome "Snack" pose by Reve Obscura - dressed in the sheerest of dresses from MuggleBorn.

Roses of Peace for Angellic Demons

Sometimes a little angel needs to fall just to find herself... I've had a bit of a hard day when it comes to emotions and feelings. and all that kinda stuff so as per usual my photos are reflecting those feelings... Everyone hurts sometimes... Even the fallen Angels... 

This whole picture started because I'd gotten my little hands on the amazing nose bleed from Zombie Suicide at this year's Skin Fair, but it developed and became more than that...
You may already know I'm more than a little addicted to Gacha, and so when LootBox started and ANTINATURAL released the amazing Post-Human collection I was determined to get what I wanted... In my case I was lucky, and got both the Angel and Demon lootboxes - the Demon will come later btw - but for now the angel seemed to fit so perfectly with my mood today... The sadness of the Holy Eyes and the degradation of her wings... I will admit that the wings look better in person, they have a subtle sparkle to them that looks off through the mist here but just looks so gorgeous in SL... Make sure you check this set out!!!
The fallen angel was freed from her cage - an anc cage rezzed for use at Backdrop City - and given hope in the form of a white rose - thanks to the Rosa pose from PinkRayne - her cage holding back the demon inside that was trying to break free...

Kissing Frogs

I've always loved fairy tales, and believed that true love can conquer all... That's mostly because I was brought up on a diet of Disney Movies and later romance novels... Yet there was a pose released recently from Image Essentials that I couldn't let slip away... I HAD to try to find out if kissing the frog would turn him into a red hot Viking prince?!

The pose prop is adorable, as I said it's from Image Essentials, and it's called My Prince. You can find it at this month's round of Twe12ve, and the pose comes with the well and froggie props too!!

Where Do Easter Eggs Come From?

Now that my birthday has passed, and I want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone for yesterday by the way, I am going to start talking a little about Easter... Not a lot, it's one of those holidays that I'm not really interested in, with the exception of little chocolate eggs anyway, yet I've always wondered where the Easter BUNNY gets eggs from... 
Rabbits don't lay Eggs... Chickens lay Eggs, yet the holiday is all about the bunnies... I know there is a religious context there too but a lot of people forget that anyway, and really what do chocolate eggs have to do with ANY religious tradition, unless there is a church of Chocoholism... 
BUT if Chocolate Eggs, come from Easter Bunnies, how are they made... I FOUND proof of how they are made... 

Easter Eggs come from Bondage sessions between Chickens and Bunnies... Though OK I'm going to be admit that I'm with a cock in bondage... He's really enjoying making Easter eggs... 
The Bunny outfit is actually something that comes from 1313 MockingBird Lane at the new event Red Light District. This is an even that is already open and running until April 8th. It's a VERY barely there harness, mask and warmers are available individually but they are all colour co-ordinated and such a fun set.

Mousey Me

I'm back feeling a little more positive about things this afternoon... RL MAY have taken a turn for the better, so while still keeping everything tightly crossed I'm feeling a little more positive in life right now... It may be reflected in the looks that I pull out of Rudh's overly stuffed wardrobe!

I'm not normally someone that gets into this holiday, I will totally admit that for me it's just like any other ordinary day, but it seems like the rest of the world goes crazy for it! Second Life is over run with lucky clovers and Guinness, and I'm guessing it's more to do with Irish descendants than the Irish themselves... There cannot be that many Irish people in SL?! Or can there??!!! 

Anyway I've said I don't normally get into this holiday, yet here I am posing like a crazy drunk person while standing in Dublin looking a little like a leprechaun threw up all over me... and I enjoyed it too...
Although it's not entirely my own fault... I have a bit of a store crush on a place called JACKALOPE... I've mentioned it here before countless times, and this time in particular, they were not only having a sale, but a hunt too... I couldn't stop myself!! This Louise Tee and Fishnet Combo is one of the hunt prizes that is available until March 20th!

Sins Released... Proud, Vain, but so Pretty

There are 7 of the Deadly Sins, and each has it's own attributes which come through in the demeanour of Rudh every time one of them takes over her body. Lust is most common place but sometimes, when the others have control you see a side of Rudh that is not the normal. 
Pride, or sometimes as the sin is known Vanity, doesn't tend to be something I'm very good at... I always find myself second guessing and NEVER seem to be able to feel proud of things that I've done as I have a bit of an issue with self-confidence, or more correctly a lack of self confidence!  

The Pride sin is very vain and likes to be surrounded by mirrors... She's glam and mysterious and prides herself on the magic within...
Her outfit is something chosen specifically to show off her Astral Divinity - since she's proud of being such an important demon as one of the sins, dontcha know... Hand crafted by the workers of egosuamii and United Colors she dances through The Arcade like a beacon of light her pride and vanity showing through the glittering facade... Look at me, worship me, it screams...

Locked in her Chair

I feel a little trapped in my own home at the moment... I don't know why, but maybe it's due to the fact that I don't get to go out into the world every day more than a walk in the park... Prehistoric Hunter

As I was out grocery shopping today, I couldn't help but giggle at myself a little bit... For some reason I was finding myself thinking of the original grocery shoppers, the Hunter Gatherers of Pre-History... I'm a bit of a History Geek I know, but for them going to the supermarket would have been more like scrabbling around in the woods, and there was I worrying that I couldn't find a ripe Mango for my hubby! A mango, in Holland, in the Spring?! A hunter gatherer would question my sanity LOL... 

So when I got home I was playing around with something to blog today, and this was in the front of my mind... Hence why when I found the new Vara Dress, released at 4Mesh - which opens today until April 1st - by 1313 Mockingbird Lane, I kinda did a little happy dance... The new Vara Dress is something that maybe a discerning Cave Woman would enjoy wearing. It comes in a collection of 8 different colours, each with and without rips - and all of these colours are funky animal prints... As you can see here, this well dressed Hunter-Gatherer made a meal of some delicious tiger flesh, and can now rock the plains - or in this case the Dawn Kingdoms, please watch out for Dinosaurs - in her fabulously fetching new dress! With what looks to be the tiger's lower jaw in her hand as a weapon... Little did she know that in later years, this would be the blade of Cain lol...

There are so many different ways that lust can be portrayed, be it pretty romantic desire to carnal almost violent passion... and I'm a lover of both!!! Although you might not notice if you see how much of my kinky side comes to the surface... 

I loved playing around with Lust but it's a look that seems to be a sin I play with a lot... So this picture is nothing out of the ordinary for me! It's something that is allowing me to showcase the new collection of teddybears that my Gator boys bought for me. There's the one in the cage - that's Chopper - there's the one in the corner - that's Max - and the collection of bears - is HellBone, since he's everywhere in my SL and RL too ...

Goodbye My Hero

A few days ago I did something retro, a little look back in time and really enjoyed myself. I loved the 60s, but I my favourite time period, the one that gets me really excited as a total history geek is the Medieval period. I love that there is so much conjecture and so much space to work out what items were and how they were used... Yet one of the other things that happen with the Medieval period is that it's often romanticised!! I love the beauty and romance of it!

I got super excited when I saw this dress being released at the Trunk Show - which is open until March 18th - from Infinity. The Yalena Green dress was just soooo pretty I couldn't really help having a need to have it... 
She's at the castle of Luanes World, watching her hero riding away to battle... The crown on her head - from lassitude & ennui - is barely holding her hair down in the wind.

Sins Released... Sloth needs more Sleep

Today has been one of those cold, wet, Wintery feeling days. When the bad and cold weather seems to cling on for dear life and all you want to do is hide under a blanket!
Either that or its the fault of another one of those Demonic beings that were unleashed by Image Essentials, playing games with my tired little head. 

It seems like Demoness Sloth has found herself somewhere warm and cosy to take a bit of a nap... She's commandeered my adorable new Cushion Cuties - from Razzberry Inc at this month's round of The Arcade - and in fact it looks like she's wearing my new Thermal Onesie too... How rude?!I think the cheeky demon even stole my teddy?!
She's decorated her space so it feels soft and comforting, with some gorgeous dream catchers - though I wonder if they are actually catching Nightmares since she's a demon? - yet there are definitely signs of Demonic Nature to her... It's not as inviting as it should be... She's wearing her patent pending Narcolepsy Helmet, and has some rather large dark circles around her eyes, showing off her Slothish nature, but that eye in the middle of her chest... The all seeing eye... Even when she's asleep this demon is watching you...

Retro Dancer

Sometimes you have to dance like no one is watching... Twirling around, swaying in time, dancing and singing and trying not to trip over the cat... 
I LOVE music, and will always have something on in the house, whether it's pop music on the radio or I've thrown some of my favourite tunes onto the stereo, I find dancing helps me to feel good... 

Normally in my house we have lots of loud metal but sometimes you get other kinds of music that just make me wanna dance... I used to listen to a lot of 60s music. I loved certain things and would rock out with my friends at parties to them... 
So this is a look for that, a look that was able to come out because of the recent rounds of Collabor88 and Uber!! The boots were from Pure Poison and the dress was from Hucci.

Sins Released... Greed when Shopping

So I mentioned before about a series of poses that are getting me all excited from Image Essentials... The IE store has released a set of poses for Designer Circle which are focused on the Seven Deadly Sins... This of course, appealed to me right away, and although Wrath has been done, the others are slowly coming to me too... Today is the turn of Greed... 
When Greed was released, there was only one place that she was drawn to, like a moth to a flame... 

Now before I go further, I am not saying that the Arcade's owners or designers are Greedy... I don't want to get myself into trouble here, but I find that I - myself - get very greedy with the opening of one of these big gacha events, be it The Arcade, The Epiphany or otherwise. 
As she's Greed, this little demon is draped in gold and riches... Everything from her jewels to her bikini are draped in gold. 
Finding herself at a place where so many people get greedy she's a happy little sin...You could say she's as happy as sin hehe...

A ghostly dance for the Lady of the Lake

You may have heard tales filled with magic and romance, but never did a tale seem so full of sorrow as that of the Lady of the Lake... It's a tragic tale of the lonely rogue that had been wounded in the heat of a battle, but somehow found himself on the bank of a placidly serene lake. As if by magic something amazing happened... He was discovered by a woman, not just any woman, one with the scales of a fish on her skin, dressed in nothing but ratty old fishing nets and pond weed... It was this woman that healed him, that nurtured him and revived him, yet there was something mysterious about her that he couldn't fathom... She never spoke! Not a word... Despite this, and the other odds the couple faced, a love began to bloom like the lilies on the lake... After mere days in each others presence, they vowed their eternal love... 
That night, the woman disappeared without a trace. He withered, he waited and all the while the lilies danced on the pond, mocking this poor unfortunate soul. His wait lasted months, years, decades even, until eventually time took it's toll... 
Now I share the end of this sad story, and hope to give some happy relief... Although his body was taken from him, the soul of the man remained tied to the lake... People came and went, the daily lives took place and towns grew up around this once placidly serene place. After a hundred years, time stood still for just one night, everything faded into the mist, and there, dancing on the lily-pads a mermaid in a dress made of lilies, and her ghostly love, share a moment of bliss... 

OK so I got a LITTLE carried away with my story behind the outfit and the photo in general but I couldn't help myself. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this outfit - in fact the whole set - from nani, available at the current round of The Arcade, called Dreamy Pond that when I saw it, I KNEW I would be posting a story about it! I was lucky enough to be given the dress as an early Birthday gift, but oh my gosh it's soooo pretty I never wanna take it off now I have it! 
While on the subject of The Arcade though, there have been a lot of things that I've just had to have this time around... I mean to go with this dress as an example, these perfect MoonAmore "Swan Lake" Ballerina Shoes, and this cute short hairstyle from DOE - called Renee in V2 - just perfectly fit the look I wanted to create! 
Yet I cannot forget to share the details of this awesome pose.. It was a creation of NANTRA, who made it in honour of her lost friend in RL. Such a sad but sweet pose, that I guess prompted my story to come to life in the way that it did, and allowed my mermaid to cry "Tears for Shedwick"...

Laundry Day is NOT for Washing Clothes!

The sins are out in force, and they are affecting the naughtiness that is me... So today I warn you it's about to get a little naughty... OH and it's laundry day... So... I'll let your minds wander for just a moment, hehe... 
OK OK bring your mind out of the gutter, just a little bit... I'm not going to be riding my drier today lol, at least not in public... But there are other fun things in the laundry room, like clothes pegs...

So today, I'm having a rather good time doing some of my laundry... Rudh wears so many clothes every week that she must have tons of the stuff, and judging by what she does in the Laundromat she probably doesn't get much cleaning done!
In her lazy Sunday outfit, a simple band top and some super comfy, but still with a naughty girl edge pair of shorts - a newish release from MuggleBorn called Jessie, it was actually the fault of the clothes pegs that made this little brat get naughty... They Clamp so well - yes it's the pose from Reve Obscura, lol - and to be frank, let's face it, there won't be any laundry done today anyway!!!
