HAPPY NEW YEAR... Bring on 2021!

 I know that I'm a little bit early with this, but I'm getting it out there now as I'll be going away over the New Year - not for long just for a few days to escape the fireworks that have been banned in the Netherlands but people will no doubt be setting off - and I wanted to send a wish for a Happy and Prosperous New Year... Dammit this year, unlike the years gone by, we could use it more than before... 
It's going to be a strange celebration, everyone on their own in their lock down bubbles, but let's all try to remain a little positive. I'm definitely one for hoping that this pandemic cannot go on forever!!

I'm going to sit somewhere, deep in the woods in the Netherlands with a good book in one hand and a glass of something cold and bubbly in the other to toast the new year in... 
In SL, Rudh pulled on a pair of those AMAZING gift glasses - from (Yummy) - and stuck a straw in her 'champagne to go' - from Bad Unicorn - before setting her sparklers on fire and almost catching her hair in it...

Now that Christmas is over...

 I love Christmas, but thank goodness that it´s over. We have a lovely, peaceful and very relaxing holiday season, but every year my favourite time is actually the few days after Christmas has passed when you can just wallow into warm, cozy feeling... My house looks like absolute chaos, there´s still paper waiting to be put into the trash bin out back, and my refrigerator is stuffed full of leftovers. Aside from Halloween, it´s the most wonderful time of year!

I´ve chucked all my festive, Christmas clothing back into closet and pulled on something a little more normal for me - an adorable Resurrected dress from Psycho Barbie - and some super spiked Widow Boots - from Addicted Apothecary - I started to feel more normal. A bottle of wine or two, and well I started having trouble eating the plate of cookies I´d brought to munch on.

Shopping at the Christmas Market

 It's just a few days before Christmas now, the snow ball is rolling down the hill so fast that if you blink now you will miss the big day. I wanted to purchase a few little more gifties for the people that deserve them, and decided that some fresh air at the Cheri Noel outdoor Christmas market was the perfect place to go... It seemed that my Newfie Pewf pal - from Jian - decided that I would need help in picking out and carrying some more decorations for my home... 

Wandering around, through the stalls, picking up and collecting the packages wrapped in pretty paper and ribbons it started to feel more Christmassy today. Having forgotten her Shopping basket, she's having to balance everything in the sleeves of her Nice Sweater - from the Naughty or Nice Gacha collection by Mug at the Epiphany - and her bag balancing on her shoulder - a Candy Bag from MIDNA - she's kind of glad that the doggie is willing to take the wreath!!

Prayers from the Undertaker

I've been trying to get myself to feel festive lately, and I'll be honest when I say that this year the feeling seems so much harder to find than in past years... Yes there are so many reasons, and I know that I'm not the only one feeling them, but you'll have to forgive me for today being far from Christmas feeling! 
Today is somewhat somber, maybe a look into the hearts of many - myself included - that are without family this year due to separations and losses... So today, I'm in the graveyard, in mourning... 

I'm an undertaker right now... Standing alone in the graveyard, mourning the souls of the departed sending a little prayer to those that are no longer with us. Also sending thoughts of love and hugs and care to those that cannot be with their loved ones due to the Covid Pandemic. I know how you feel on that score, I miss my family so much but I lay a rose in the cemetery for you...
I keep a rose to my lips, the thorns scarring my delicate skin, but the roses are also tattooed over my chest close to my heart for each and every moment I'm in mourning... You can't really see the tattoo clearly in the pose but I wanted to share the store ad to show just how beautiful the tattoo from Psycho Barbie really is... I mean under a top it's pretty but with bare shoulders it's gorgeous!!

Light Me Up

It seems to be a customary thing for me every year to start working out ways to either get myself off of the naughty list, or embrace it more than ever. This year I am going to just say screw it and embrace the fact that I've been on the naughty list for years, and that's where I am going to stay.

A Hot Bath on a Cold Day

Today has been my first day of my vacation over the festive season, I'm looking forward to a few weeks to relax... I have a lot of Christmassy things to get myself feeling a little festive. I've got presents to buy and wrap, people to spend some festive fun times with and so many things to see... 
However I am going to rest and relax... First with a nice hot chill in a pool... 

She's been chillaxing after working in the snowy garden, building snowmen and setting out lights around a Christmassy home... It's now time to relax and would it be wrong of me to drink the hot chocolate that I'm bathing in?!

Ready to Fight...

 The whole of the Netherlands has from today gone into a new lock down. It´s something that has been on the cards for a long time, with the partial lockdown having already seen bars and restaurants closed for a while, but today was officially the first day that it's been an official thing. 
Yet, I'm more than a little frustrated because apparently even though our little shop is considered prestige and luxury - and very much non-essential - but as it's food stuff that we sell, we're going to be staying open. I'm not overly happy about this decision, but I have to go and I will be procecting myself as best I can... 

OK, Maybe I'd be doing it a little diffierently to the way Rudh decided to protect herself, but I'm definitely not willing to take any risks and will be doing everything I can to keep myself safe and Covid free.. 
Rudh decided to go maskless but as her protection she's taken a baseball bat and will be exacting some Road Warrior justice. Keeping her hands protected in a pair of gloves that are perfect for the Riot Kidz- created by PSYCHO.Byts. 
Bring on anyone that cannot social distance now, I'm ready for them...

Snowflake kisses on my cheeks...

Oooooh one of the best things about Second Life at this time of year is the snow... I HATE snow in RL because even though it looks pretty I know I'm always scared that I'm going to slip over and hurt myself, but in SL though it's a totally different story. I LOVE being out in the snow, dancing around and watching the flakes fall. Even the darkest little versions of me cannot help but smile as the soft white flakes kiss my skin... 

At Moochie, where 'Tis the Season, while out on a walk in the woods, looking for a quite place to commune with the moon goddess, the little dark being that I am wandered into a clearing and suddenly the snowflakes were kissing her cheeks... The smile was instant, proving that even the creatures of the dark cannot resist this pretty white stuff!

The Warrior with the Dragon Guard

The ancients were hiding in their fancy walled city, while the ferociously dark warrior army descended on the captial. The enslaved patrons of the city were willing and ready to relent, peeking from their crumbling homes as the invaders passed by. Less scary than their rumours portrayed them to be, although the fire in their eyes burns deep, they are only hungry for the death of their enemies!
Hiding in the temple the elders quake in fear as the enemy gets closer, until the sudden boom heralds their arrival...

The explosion, and the fire flicking against the wall and over the rubble that scatters the floor. The figure that steps through the gaping wound in the wall wreaks of chaos, havoc and death... Taking a Peek

I am having one of those lovely fairly lazy weekends and I'm hoping that Christmas will mean that work gets a little more crazy this week. For now I'm just doing a little gentle shopping in Secondlife, preparing gifts for friends and family, wandering around the shops at Rosa Scotia and making a list of pretty things. That was until I wandered past the bakery... I had to double back and take a little peek in the window!

In real life I cannot walk past a bakery without holding my breath, just the smell of the freshly baked goodies makes me pile on the pounds. The delicious things smell so good, and I cannot help myself so I've learnt to hold my breath and avert my eyes... In SL looking in the window doen't hurt and I may even pop into the bakery and pick myself up some fresh bread.

Shanked for my Gifts!

 Since it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and there's a lot of preparation taking place in both the everyday and dark macabre underworld so the little demoness in me is desperate to get into the Christmas spirit... In the asylum that I'm locked in, it's hard to do, but anything that we have been given gifts of coal and candy, there are light's to play with too... 

I wrapped myself in pretty lights  - from Doe in my hair and the amazing glasses from E.Marie at Anthem - and then got into a fight with another of the inmates who took my candy from me and gave me a CandyCrush by making me some new piercings with the Candy Canes turned shanks - thanks to G.I.N at Necrosis this month. 
Anyway I just popped out to show you this awesome bag of coal that I got as a present, but now I have to head back into the party and beat the one who shanked me over the head with the Christmas tree!!

December 1st: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It is December 1st and I'm finally allowing myself to starting allowing things to look a lot like Christmas. I've resisted the urge up until now, but today marks the start of all things Christmassy, It's not long now until the Fat Man in red graces us with his presence but everything is starting to feel a little magical in the drearest part of the most depressing year I've ever had! Let the Christmas magic begin I suppose...

Sprinkling the Snow

Tuesday is December 1st and that means the count down to Christmas will begin... Time to start getting festive and OK once the month starts I guess I will get myself into the Christmas groove... For now though I heard tell that the fae of snow has been seen dusting the world and making it white...

Black Friday Shopping!

 It's Black Friday, as a non-American, I have to admit that it's the best day of the Thanksgiving Holiday because well... SHOPPING WITH DISCOUNTS! Who doesn't love shopping with discount?! 

One of the most amazing places that I always love to shop is Dust Bunny... It's also one of my favourite stores due to the way that it looks. I know it's pastel and girlie and pretty, but I LOVE IT... I guess I have to admit that I'm addicted.

Happy Thanksgiving!

 HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my American Friends and Family. 
It's not something that I celebrate since I'm a non-American myself, but this time of year there are so many people making huge feasts and spending time with family that I decided to take that opportunity and force HellBone to have a family meal with me... 

I put some delicious roasted veggies - from vespertine kitchen - and some stuffing and mash with a little bit of that delicious Dust Bunny gravy. I turned around for a moment to get the Turkey out of the oven, and as I turned back to put it on the table I noticed that the little shit was sharing mashed potatoes with our chunky butt, Scruffy Shepherd... 
I LOVE this set up, but I have to say that the poses are something I cannot take credit for... They actually come as a larger group pose that can be used as a single pose - with props - or as a whole for a fun family group pose... The Crystal Collector

The magic keeps pulling me back to it, none of this wintery magic yet and definitely nothing related to Christmas, but there's magic out there and I think it's getting a little addicting. I AM LOVING playing around with the fantastical looks, and cannot wait to share the things I have in mind with you... 
Today I found myself in another dark part of the caves, inhabited by the Crystal Fae that you met a few days ago. There are other magical creatures in the dark, like this little sprite, that's out collecting the Crystals for herself!

Her skin - a Wyrd Pewter Skin by the way - is pale and reflecting the little amount of light that's being radiated around by the Crystals. Her companions are the millions of butterflies that cover the walls. Decked out in nothing much more than fur for an outfit, she prefers the crystals to adorn herself, wearing them around her neck and over her horns - which are actually a new release from Normandy called Skaoi Horns that will be available from Necrosis on November 27th - but she's been set with a special task... Collect the crystals that will light the Waltz of the Daemons for the Aenigma Ball... 
Posing like an Ice Maiden - thanks to the awesome poses from Diversion at Aenigma - or should that be Crystal Maiden?! She selects the best of the gems for the perfect decorations...

Toy Shopping!

Everyone seems to be getting into the Christmas Spirit, it seems to get earlier every year and I guess that this year more than others it feels like a necessary thing. There are so many reasons to hide within the festive sparkle, but I am kinda refusing to even think about Christmas just yet... It´s still November, and I will admit that being a good little shopper, I´ve started thinking about presents... 

There are lots of things I need to shop for...  I have a list almost as long as Santa´s and to be honest I don´t know where to start. 
I know far too many people that will be on the naughty list this year, maybe I´ll encourage a little naughtiness... I went shopping to the Adult Store in Kiyori, and found a Crystal Bag full of shopping... 
Looks like everyone is getting something fun and buzzy this year hehe!

Lazy Sunday... Gotta love a lovely lazy Sunday when all you have to do is the smallest of household chores and reading he happiest of cozy books, ooooh and as a really good treat for myself maybe a cuppa tea...

Waiting for the Waltz of the Daemons

 It´s beginning to look like Christmas in many different places in SL, but I am at the point of refusing to let that anywhere near me LOL... It´s not even December yet, I´m still loving on October! The colours of Autumn are things I´m not really willing to give up just yet... So for a while, I´m going to be avoiding the subject of Christmas and the fat man in red.. 
Until then though, there should be the startings of some wintery magic... Today I started preparing myself for the Winter Waltz of the Daemons - the theme for the new round of Aenigma - as the monster in me fought with herself to decide what to wear for a waltz... 

For some reason, the dark little fae in me won this round. She's sitting in her dark cave, thinking, plotting and wondering what the waltz would entail. Did she even remember how to dance?!
She loves being surrounded by pretties, the way that the crystals twinkle in the dark and the scent of the roses that she trails as she moves... Her Frozen skin - from Wyrd - sparkles along with the crystals and the Skathi's Kiss wounds - a release from The Rotting Lab for Aenigma - and the Frostbitten Gems - from Static - dazzle and blind...

Back again...

You may have noticed I've been pretty dormant over the past week... I've been taking a bit of a break and having some RL rest and relaxation. Things have gotten pretty crazy lately for me emotionally, and I really need to get outta Dodge for a while. Now though, I'm back! I'm ready to rock and roll, and I have a lot of things to get working on... 

Stepping out of the underground train - at Backdrop City - and heading for the exit, I know I've got a lot of things to catch up on. I'm taking home a new little friend - that comes with the Foxy poses from Secret Poses at Shiny Shabby - a gift that I love and heading home to my adorable little house... The busy time is going to start NOW...

We Will Remember Them!

This week marks the Remembrance Week in the UK, specifically on November 11th - the 11th minute of the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month to be exact - the day that WWI was officially declared over! It's a time of peace, remembrance and care, and even though we're officially paying homage to anyone that has lost their lives in service and protection of the UK I feel that this year, more than others, a moment of silence, stopping and thought is vital! There is so much going on in the world right now, that stopping to take a breath and remember those of the past, that suffered so much more than just being locked down at home, feels like something I'm very much inspired by... So on November 11th, I will be pausing for thought, and today on Remembrance Sunday, I've decided in my own Rudhish way to lay flowers on Flanders Fields - at the SL Time Portal... We will remember them... 

I don't mean to cause any offence with my choice of outfit here by the way... I loved the military - but naughty - Rudhish feel to this PSYCHO.Byts Rocket Captain outfit, and the adorning of the poppies - both as the bouquet and in my hair, from LODE - really brought to life the colour of the WWI battlefields that burst to life with poppies after the terrible battles that raged on the land!

Destroyer of All Things!

 I've been chatting with one of my MC Brother about his new puppies a lot lately, so much in fact that he's swamping the Gators with pictures of the adorable, terrible twosome... His house looks like a doggy toy graveyard! He says no matter how much he cleans it, there is ALWAYS cotton stuffing from the toys... Now I love puppies, and I love plushies, and my dog when she was little got her teeth on my favourite childhood stuffed animal - trust me she only did it the once! Yet both those things got me thinking, and well... Thinking can lead to some adorable pictures... 

The puppy - a Scruffy Shepherd from Jian in this case - was just chilling in my house, being cute when things got very quiet... I turned to check and the little asshole was ripping into teddy!!! My little teddy Sakura had become a very scared little Victim Bear... Just fluff and stuffing!! 
Anyone know how to lead a funeral for a teddy?!
