Valentine Treats

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and I am working and we are moving on Sunday so I have no plans to do much of anything... PLUS I don't really like Valentines anyway, unless you haven't guessed it. I'm not totally anti it, I definitely believe in love but I don't really feel ike Love should just be celebrated on one day... Love is an eternal thing, a thing that should be cherished always... So I'm celebrating the sweetness, the adorableness, and the happiness, all the while my Hubby is watching Friday the 13th and scaring the shit out of me LOL... 

So normally I'd wait until after Valentine's to get my hands on TONNES of discounted chocolates that I needed but sometimes in the middle of al of the chaos a girl needs a little chococlate treat... Now I am planning to do something delicious with all of that Valentine's Candy but I wanted it to be something a little different too, after all, it's not your everyday run of the mill boring kinda candy... 
Maybe I'll enjoy a little Halloween Candy Fondue... Some yummy sweet treats for dipping in the melted chocolate and plenty of lovehearts all around... It all smells so delicious and sweet that it's lured in the Sweet in Pink Flying Hearts - which are part of a set of good and bad hearts from Snuggle&Co for the current group gift - who want to join in the Valentine's Sweet Treat...

Coffee or Chocolate & Cookies!

It's getting closer and closer to Christmas and all I can say is that the festive spirit comes and goes faster than I can blink at the moment. I'm dealing with some feelings and a little bit of trouble in Real Life but I will let you know more about that soon I'm sure... 
Since I have the day off though, and since I'm feeling a bit crappier than normal today I'm going to take it easy, do a little prep for Christmas and read a good book with a delicious treat or two...  

What do I want to make myself feel better today?! I think that I should try to make some cookies, preparation for Santa's visit... Everyone knows that there should always be cookies left out for Santa. I would offer to leave him some delicious home-made chocolate or a fancy Christmas coffee, but I wonder if Santa wouldn't mind a cold coffee instead... I don't think it will be too hot when he gets here?!

Stayin' Spooky

I think I blinked and I missed everything that has been going on lately... HOW CAN IT ALREADY BE THE MIDDLE OF NOVEMBER?! We're 15 days into a 30 day month and that means we're half way through, Christmas is just around the corner and it will soon be 2026 - my 40th year?! I cannot believe how fast things are going... I still wanna be spooky?! What the heck?!

I am still living in a bit of a dark space in my mind right now, so staying spooky seems far much more of a fun way to share these feelings than letting people see the true levels of the down flow I am in... I have a lot of problem and stress happening in my RL right now, SL seems to be a place I am hiding away and since I don't even seem to be social in SL at the moment things are a pretty peaceful place... We will see how things go, maybe I'll have to make some major life changes and start trying to be more proactive, but I have about 6 weeks left of 2025 to figure that out... For now though I'm staying spooky until Christmas decides to let me feel festive!!

Haunted Fast Food at the Diner

Do you ever have those where you don't want to cook something? I, in fact, seem to be having far too many of those days lately, I don't know what to cook, what to eat and if I can either be bothered to stand around and cook something. It feels like so much of a burden and in fact when I add that to my general slump at the moment I feel more than a little down in the dumps... What should I do to make things better?
Nothing seems to be working... Not even the thoughts of a little junk food will cheer me up... 

When I was little we used to be allowed some form of take out about once a month, although there were extenuating circumstances that sometimes made that change... We would have fish'n'chips or chinese and even more rarely as a special treat we'd be allowed to have a McDonalds... It always seemed fun to have a Happy Meal toy... 
Today I decided to take my Bumpkin Buddies - from Sakura - out for some Haunted Fast Food - from Junk Food - at the California Diner... The black burgers are delicious, the kids love the haunted nuggets and they now have Mummy Mozzarella Sticks... I'll have to pick up HellBone a Ghost Pizza and some sodas... It's a LOT of Junk Food but sometimes we need a treat right... ALSO If I'm lucky the kids might forget these adorable unhappy meal Brew Toys - which are actually a GORGEOUS new release from Snuggle&Co for Satan Inc... Where can I get me one of these in RL please? - and I'll be able to keep them for myself...

Why do I always get sick?!

Someone tell me why?! I have a question that I NEED an answer to... Someone tell me why, whenever the season changes do I seemingly instantly catch a cold and feel like shit?! 
It's like as soon as the season decides it's time to change whether it's to Spring or Autumn, and other's start to get coughs and sneezes, I am automatically primed to get sick... It didn't take long but yep... I've got the lurgy... 

I came home early on Saturday. I tried hard but I hadn't actually been able to work a full shift... 
I spent MOST of today, curled up in my bed snoozing and I was trying to read in the time that I wasn't asleep. I wanted to do some SL things but it didn't take long before I found myself being escorted back to bed with a bowl of chicken soup, a cup of tea, my squishy plushie Louie Cat - from Snuggle&Co -  and my choice of a favourite movie to relax... He wouldn't let me Lord of the Rings, so can you tell what I forced him to watch?! LOL... Do you have a favourite go to movie when you want something comforting? Oh and before you answer that, can you pass me some more paracetamol?!

Amsterdamse Pride!

After three long days back at work, I am finally home and have a day off tomorrow... Amsterdam is BUSY this week... It's not tulip season busy but it's busy and that's because of the fact that this weekend is Amsterdamse Pride weekend. 
Amsterdam is a city that is proud of hosting the Pride events, they run all week and finish on Saturday with a boat parade through the canals!  

This, of course, means the city is rainbowfied... It has brought in some of the most friendly, most fun and most vibrant types of people. I honestly LOVE this week in the city, people that come for Pride seem much happier than those that come any other time of the year. Of course, there are always exceptions, but generally, it's a lot more fun working in retail tourism right now... Does help that I'm close to the Pride epicenter, if you're wanting gay clubs and bars in Amsterdam it's well known that you gotta go to the Regulierdwarsstraat! 
So on my day off tomorrow, I'm going to go out into the city and help paint the town in rainbow stripes, meet some lovely people and give out a few hugs to those that need an ally in their life... Happy Amsterdam Pride everyone!

Pool Time Fun!

It's getting hot again!! The temperature is rising just as I've got to start cleaning my house to make sure everything is ready to go home... WHY DO THE GODS HATE ME?!
All I want to to do is find a way to cool down, I want to shower every five minutes and swim somewhere cool and preferably shady... I wish I had a pool!!!

I'm not sure if Rudh is chilling in her rubber ring, or if she's making a terrible cannonball bomb into the pool and is about to get herself stuck in a rubber ring she's landing on... 
You can see that her fishy buddies are experiencing her arrival with different reactions... The Bubble Buddies, such cute little fishies - from Krescendo - are watching on with a little concern, but it's the Chompy Sharks - from Snuggle&Co, still available until July 13th at Summerfest - that seem to be enjoying it... Their pearly whites are definitely on show like they are smiling anyway...

I ain't afraid of no Ghosts...

So yesterday I was thinking a lot about Wonderland, I cannot tell you really what sparked that thought pattern but last night to distract the hubby we watched Pirates of the Caribbean and tonight it's movie night again... I'm not that much of movie buff - Lord of the Rings excluded, I could talk about that all day - but there are times when the right movie can be a good thing... They set the mood, they like my blog can take me away to another place and they bring stories to life that many may never think of... 
Now I'm going to show my age here, I'm a child of the 80s and proud of it, but do you remember when 3D movies first became a thing?! It was an insane experience... 

The first time I saw a 3D movie it was a shock... I think the first time I saw a 3D movie was the Muppets 3d in Disneyland, and I can honestly say as much as the film was fun it set my motion sickness off something terrible and I was more than a little put off from seeing things in 3D again... 
It was crazy to me how a movie brought someone's imagination to life in moving pictures but also that those moving pictures could leave a screen and be right up in your face like they could touch you... It was a bizarre feeling, one that still makes me surprised to this day... Even though now days it's less abnormal andif you try and tell youngans about it they look at you iek you have two heads, with stories of different coloured glasses!!! 
Anyway it's movie time... HellBone plans to scare me a little with a few Ghostbusters...
