Sparkling Shit Happens

 It's cold and dark early these days... I'm exhausted and feeling like I'm just going through the motions... Things keep happening that are not totally wonderful and athough I get the odd spark of good news, all I want to do is slip into hibernation... 
I decided that now I'd be stepping out on a stage, dressed in neons, surrounded by neons and sparkling with a fake smile to act like I'm enjoying myself... BECAUSE well Shit Happens, so you just have to keep a smile on and try to get on with it...

Club Shit Happens, is definitely a place where anything can go on... I love dancing though, I don't care what it is or how I dance but when the music takes control it's easy to dance and let it distract me from the present bleh I'm in... 
Normally when things on my blog are dark and bleak, I'm at my happiest. I love being a fantasy pretty fae being, but tonight I'm hiding my feelings of being down in the dumps behind colours and sexiness... I'm going pole dancing...

No Rest for the Wicked

It may be the start of another week but today is Cyber Monday... I'm not in a shopping kinda mood, I've been far too busy and it seems like rest is alluding me, but as they always say, there is NO REST for the wicked... I feel like I'm fighting an uphill battle and the apocalypse is nigh... I'm going to have to get myself prepared for a battle... 

I'm currently hiding in a bunker deep underground, and I've barricaded the door although I'm not sure if it's going to be to keep the others out or to just lock myself away... As in the movies, the diva in charge seems to be dressed in something sexy and I guess that I decided to dress an outfit fit for a Diva... A PVC Caph Skirt - from Normandy - along with a Haedus Tank - that comes in a set with some shorts also from Normandy at Abnormality until tomorrow - and then arming herself with whatever she can find to keep the enemies away...

Wandering into the Four Moons

I'm having one of those weeks where everything is going wrong, I've been feeling shit both physically and more worryingly emotionally for a while and I think I'm about to hit breaking point, so if I suddenly disappear then you know why... 
I've tried to find a way to bring myself out of the funky mood, I decided that I needed to slip off into a fantasy world, on an adventure... Hopefully I'll find my way back... Hopefully getting into a fantasy character will help... 

Usually when I find the inner fairy versions of myself, I find myself getting happy...I also find myself getting happy hen I create a story that leads me on an adventure. I was being lead into the wilds of the Four Moons - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - fantasy forest by some of my Garden Friends - an older release from Aardvark that has been one of my favourites for a LONG time - although they seemed a little nervous once they saw the sign... 
I LOVE this super funky looking little fae that came out of my mind with her brightly coloured skin and even brighter accessories... Her skin and hat decorated with pearls, marking her out as a Pearl Fungi Fae - a set from Fantasy Forest Store...

Magic of the First Flutters of Snow

Whilst out in the garden raking up the falling leaves, I discovered a new hole in the ground that wasn't there the day previous... It might have come up because of the ground works they are doing around our house lately, but it seemed pretty fresh, and I noticed something poking out of the dirt... 

When I looked more closely, there was an old looking book poking out of the ground... My curiosity got the better of me, I abandoned the piles of leaves - which are a cute release from kotte at Kustom9 - and sat with this book that appeared to be something of a Grimoire - from Tardfish - that once I opened the cover started to swirl it's pages around me... 
The air started to cool, and flakes started to flutter through the sky, then I heard the giggling... Some of the logs that were laying in the grounds just happened to start moving, the Stumpy - from MishMish also at Kustom9 - Pals were ALIVE and dancing in the falling leaves and fluttering snowflakes...

Busy Bears Make Excellent Soup!

The last few days have been totally chaotic... I've been through highs and lows and panic and worry and sadness, and more scared than I've been for a while. On Friday Night I went out with my work colleagues to our annual team fun event, but when I was on my home I was texted by the hubby and by the time we were starting to go to bed, it wasn't long before we were back out of the house and in the hospital as he was in chronic pain... It looks like he's the next in line to have problems with his gall bladder, and it scared me so much to see how someone with such a HIGH pain threshold in so much pain... 
Saturday I went to work after 3.5 hours of sleep, and only now am I finding myself feeling a little less sleep deprived... I need something warm, cozy, snuggly for dinner, and at times like this, I want SOUP!!! 

I love the process of making a nice fresh bowl of soup... I love to cut the veggies, and prep the ingredients... It can be any type of soup, a vegetable, a chicken noodle, a tomato, I LOVE a French Onion, but sometimes something a little different... Today perhaps I'll be a little fancy and have Chedder Broccoli Soup in a HUGE Bread Bowl - available from Junk Food - as there is no better companion for a soup than fresh crunchy bread... 
Since I was feeling so sleepy while making my soup though I didn't really trust myself around sharp objects and hot pans, so I had to call in a little help... The Busy Bears - from Aardvark at Anthem - are perfect little helpers to have around the house... They love cooking and cleaning, they provide entertainment and companionship and they tell the most wonderful jokes... Plus they are fairly snazzy dressers...

Glitches in the Light

I had a long hard day at the academy they send us to for assistant manager training today and there is so much information buzzing around in my head that I am having trouble focusing... It's like my brain keeps glitching right now, though that could have a few alternative reasons as to why... 
The glitching idea though has definitely been a factor when it came to planning a photo for today's blogging session... My mind kept glitching, and I ended up becoming the cutest of glitching cyborgs... 

I'd had the weirdest dream last night which I guess played a part in both my brain glitches and the reason that I'm in a room urrounded by monsters in cryogen tubes that we're working to extract the DNA from... The chamber, and the pods - both of which are Celeste creations - are kept dark and calm so as not to rouse the sleeping monsters, but I have to be careful, my glitches could mess everything up...

An Enchanting Mermaid Dance

 My happy place always tends to be something fantastical. I'venever been very good at straight up, look-of-the-day kinda posts like some of my blogging buddies, and even though I ALWAYS love what I post, I know not all of them will please everyone. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too random and all over the place for most people, you never know what kind of picture you'll see escape my mind... 
Today it was something a little magical and aquatic... Enchantment has opened it's doors to the Mer Kingdom, and if you know me at all you should know that I love to create pretty Mermaids and let them swim through my mind as a happy place... 

Although many of my mermaids tend to look similar, they should as they are from the same family tree considering they all drop out of my mind... I still love to bring them to the surface and allow everyone to watch them dance under the waves, bubbles and fishies swirling along in the dance... 
She's dressed up for a party to dance, wearing her pearls and tiaras, but its the bigger that is the most special... The biggest of the tiara's was a special gift, a Mermaid Headpiece fit for a dancing queen - made by Boutique #187 exclusively at Enchantment until December 2nd - and it definitely enhances her mermaid vibes...

Hiding My Birthday Suit!

I MAY have mentioned this before, but Sunday's are considered bath nights in my house and have been since I was a little kid.... We don't have a bath in my RL home, so I've often lived vicariously through Rudh and lounged in a bath with lots of bubbles., but today I'm running low on energy and so a quick shower will be all I'm capable of today... 

Now I know I love having a chat with everyone, but it's a bit difficult to take you all into the shower... No one wants to see that, no one needs to see me all bare and soapy... Then I remembered... I'd found the perfect thing whilst shopping for Halloween decor, and although Halloween has been and gone, I can get my little Birthday Suit Costume on - from Canape - while I grab my soap and shower loofah to scrub my butt while we chat... Though someone apparently doesn't want me to chat, my Soapy Soap - from KitCat - in my mouth to stop me... Lucky really, considering that I mumbled a few rude words...

Moths and Fluff in the Mind

It's Remembrance Day today in the Netherlands, and normally I spend my day focusing on the blood red poppies of Flanders Fields that have become a symbol of remembrance in the UK but today my mind has shifted a little... It feels like it's full of fluff as I have the start of a cold coming, but with everything going on in the world right now Remembrance Day has definitely shifted to become something more than just thinking about soldiers lost at war... I couldn't focus on poppies this year, I had to do something that made me feel thoughtful, allow me to remember in a different way and give me a moment to pause for thought... 

High up in the attic space where the light glows but is more than a little sombre, I sat in the glowing light of the late Autumn sunshine and closed my eyes. My head full of fluff as my mind wanders, I feel lost and alone in the sombre darkness... I am a doll in this life, and my face shows signs of breaking - an amazing accessory from KitCat called Stuffings TheDoll - while the butterflies of my imagination drift away in the light beams and dance through the quiet space... With everything going on in the world right now though, the way we remember the dead should change too, I love the poppies, I love the significance they hold and they will ALWAYS be important. Yet we need to just use this time as a moment to stop and pause, to think of anyone that had sacrificed themselves to save those of us that live on, no matter where they are, what they believe and what their reason is... We're still fighting over political issues, we're still fighting over religion, we're still fighting for our rights, in a modern age where people should be allowed to live their lives how they choose...

Let the Games begin!

 It's been a few days, and honestly it's been more than a while since I've done the kind of picture that I got myself into today... I decided to let the naughty side of me out to play, she's in costume and so technically the naughty is the fault of the costume, not the fault of the Rudh hehe... 
I will admit though that I heard when the Nintendo is down, and the game is over, a different type of game begins... Behind the scenes in the game over room... 

The Game Over room - a backdrop from PAPARAZZI - where all of the Nintendo stars go to relax while the gamer is away, the stars relax in various ways. Mario eats a heaping bowl of pasta while Luigi takes Yoshi for a walk, Toad is off getting high and Bowser is out hosting boxing matches, which of course leaves Princess Peach to some peace and quiet... What is a girl to do when she's left alone to relax?? Read, knit, paint her toenails?? If she's in the right kind of mood perhaps she'll find something a little more naughty to do... Spawn of Dish Satan

When you have a day off, a break from a hectic working lifestyle, and a chance to relax at home, you think you'd finally have a chance to stop and relax and do things that make you happy... I found that instead of that, I've spent all day doing house work, cooking and then doing more cleaning to make sure the dishes were done, before I even had a chance to think about relaxing...

I LOVE cooking, but I hate doing the dishes. Life improved a little when we finally decided to cave in and bought a dishwasher, but it seems like they multiply faster than you can wash them... A Ride in the Rain?!

The weather has been shocking here the past few days since the storm that battered the bejeezus out of the UK made it across the Channel and decided to take a swipe at the Netherlands too... 
I'm sick and tired of hiding under an umbrella, I LOVE Autumn but all of the gorgeous fall colours are being swept away in the wind and our house roof, that we thought was fixed has got a flipping leak again... I just want to find somewhere to run away to... 

Walking in the rain on my way home from work, when the evening is getting dark and the rain is falling I hide myself away under an umbrella... 
As I was walking past the entrance to the underground garage, a seedy looking van, that could only be described as one of those "Bang Vans" that you see in dodgy shows about kidnap and perhaps even porn - though you can buy your own from Bad Unicorn with a variety of different designs available - offered me a ride and some shelter from the rain... Sounds like it could be the start of a rather interesting kinky story?!

A Quiet Place to Read

Halloween has come and gone, and there are so many things that I feel like I've missed during the spooky months. I've barely done anything to explore the Halloween stuff in SL as when I've been able to be around I'm trying to get myself into costumes and taking lots of pictures... 
Now that all the festivities are behind me, I'm going to try and find myself somewhere calm and quiet for me to curl up and read... Now that the ghoulies are locked away back in their crypt beds to rest off their Halloween Party hangovers... The quietest places would have to be in those peaceful, old, graveyards... 

The Black Philip - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - cemetery, located on the shores of Black Philip Lake where the people don't tend to roam seems like the perfect place to read a good book... I'll hide among the cemetery graves and tombs - which can be found as a past group gift from DRD, for the grave stones, and Violetility as the Cemetery set with other structures - for a few moments peaces...
