Welcome to the Dark Hotel

The darkness is still lingering and I am not ready to kick it out just yet... I mean there will be lots of pretty Autumnness coming I'm sure, because I NEED to let that out before the mania that is Christmas will start... 
I LOVE the darkness, it's helping me feel better about myself and the situations that I am dealing with at the moment and since everything is getting a little too crazy I might take myself away for a while and check myself into somewhere for a rest... 

The Dark Hotel - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - is the perfect place to rest and decompress after the fun of Halloween... I've checked in and left my bags ready to be collected by the porter, and while waiting I've met some of the most wonderful locals and their pets - which happen to come with the Wini Dress from Mug. A Drink in the Moonlight

It is insanely hot here in the Netherlands and our homes are DEFINITELY meant to hold the heat rather than release it... It's one of the reasons that Summer and I do not get on LOL... This timeof year I find myself wishing I could be more of a night owl or perhaps a Vampire... I've been around the hospital too much lol wanting to be in the night and suddenly reminded of the smell of blood... 

I know that Vampires are often portrayed as the monsters, but in this day and age that should be altered in my mind. People are just as bad if not worse, and they come with a lot less grace... I love things that are Vamp based, Twilight aside because that was just silly nonsense I mean he sparkled and they gave birth to a demon-like baby... I'm still mourning the finale of What we do in the shadows, and love the glamour that often comes with a lady of the dark... 
I think now days we have enough blood banks, we should learn to share what extra we have with the Vamps and then leave them to dance through the shadows and the moonlight...

Spring Fairy holds the Key

I'm still not a happy bunny as my computer is still something that HellBone is slowly working on fixing, I'm just having to test my skills and try to use Hell's computer to take some pictures are get my blogging caught up on... I needed to get some things done, and this was the only way, I'm not sure that I am overly happy with the results, but we'll get things back to the way that they should be... 
I wanted to do something a little magical and take my mind off everything real life that is bringing me down, and let my inner fairy out to play... I used to convince myself I was a mermaid at heart but I think recently that may have shifted, now I feel much more confident in a pair of sparkly wings full of colour and magic... 

All of the seasons have their own magical feelings, and each of them is remarkable in their own way, but for some reason Spring seems to be more magical than most seasons. It's the time when things come to life, the flowers bloom and the sun starts to warm up... I love the sun this time of the year, it's warming without burning, and the light dances in pretty sparkling rays... 
The Spring Fairy dances through the light beams assisting the flowers to sprout, they come out all over her skin, today it just happens to be daisies, and dancing with her adorable little butterfly buddies - from MishMish - all the while she guards the keys in her Keys Antlers - available until June 3rd at Enchantment from Boutique #187 - these are the keys to the secret garden that she protects with her magic...

Metalheads and Angry Bears

While I was at work this weekend in Amsterdam, I found myself in the midst of a very busy weekend... There are public holidays in many countries, and everyone was enjoying the flowers and the sunshine and the King's Day weekend celebration. Yet there was another major draw into the city, Metallica were playing in the Ajax Arena, two concerts in three days, so the city seemed to be stuffed full of metalheads... I love that I tend to fall into the metalhead style social circles as they tend to be fun, friendly and have the best taste in music... 

I will be a Metalhead Forever, so much so that I'll have it tattooed on my chest for the world to see - thanks to an adorable tattoo from Adora-tions - and I got all dressed up ready for a night on the town. It;s so creepy when I head out though, the Abandoned Corridor - a backdrop from TROPIX - from my apartment to the stairs is so dark and disconcerting... As I slipped out, I heard one of the doors in the corridor click, and an eerie orange light filled the halls... I tried to ignore it and walk away but I felt something creeping up my spine, suddenly someone jumped me, a very Disgruntled Bear - from Tardfish - brandishing a knife attacked and caused me to bleed...

Nebulous Sparkles in the Darkness

Tomorrow is a day off, I'm super happy and since it's King's Day there will be lots of fun to be had, and I'm ready to get myself to the free market to treat myself to some treasure.. 
Tonight though I'm going to drift off to a place where my mind doesn't need to think, I'll sit and watch the Big Bang Theory and let my mind flicker into it's own Big Bang of sparkles and magic, and enjoy my favourite type of creativity... Something that makes me feel truly happy to look at... 

As always I'll let the darkness lead the way, I love being a little demoness, and the darker I am the happier I feel... The darkness won't engulf my creativity today, I want to allow the lightness and the sparkle to shine through and let myself be pretty for a day... 
The darkness in my demonness is at the centre of the big bang... She's the centre of the planets, they revolve around her - thanks to the Constellation Crown from Doe - and she sparkles like the stars, but she's dark and though her Mysterious Halo - from DREAMCATCHER at The Warehouse - and her Diabolus Horns - from Quills & Curiosities - don't stop the brilliance of her Nebulous Halo from joining the light of the stars...

Choices, Choices, which door do I choose?

Halloween has finally left the building, although I don't think it will ever fully be gone from my corner of the world. Though there is lots of magic still swirling around in the air, and I know that since Rudh is always into the magical arts, that there will ALWAYS be plenty of magic and monsters and darkness... Yet right now, as the Halloween magic fades away Rudh has a choice, is she going to be playing more on the darkside of the magic, or will she be able to follow to the light?

Standing before the doors in the Library of Portals - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - she has to make her decision before the doors are able to close and block the magic for a while. The dark side is hoping to lure her in with it's beautiful collection of skulls and devious little monsters, but the good side is offering up sparkles and magic tricks and everythig that's cute and adorable!

Getting Trolled!

Last night I missed doing a 31 days of Halloween post since I had to go to the airport in RL to pick up my father, but there were accidents and I really didn't feel like sitting on my own and writing a blog post for a costume that I hadn't prepared... 
Today though was a different story. I had fallen in love with something that had been available for the Happy Weekend sale, and as soon as I got my hands on them, I knew that today's look would be something a little bit of a trolling post... 

It's Troll-tastic... I'm off my trolley.. I can't get enough trolling puns... 
It's all because of the fact that he Halloween trolls - from imbue at this weekend just gones Happy Weekend - are heading down to Spooky Street - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - for their own little Halloween celebration... 
I knew that if I wanted to join them then I had to get my Troll on... I died my hair a bright blue and gelled it up into a long Trollish style - thanks to a wig from Tableau Vivant - wanting to match their crazy styles I painted my face with a little make-up and glued a troll gem into my chest...

The Queen in the Tower

Tis the 7th day of Halloween, and it seems to be whizzing by so far this month... 
I've decided that since we've been open for almost a full week now, I am going to wax a little lyrical about our little Dark Adventure and in fact there is ONE location in particular that feels a little more special than some of the others. I am talking about our little trip to the Tower of London... 
On our little spooky tour, we head to the tower, in search of some of it's very famous - and no longer living - residents... 

One of the most famous residents that ever found herself in the castle that is the Tower of London, was Queen Anne Boleyn. She was the second wife of Henry VIII, the mother of Queen Elizabeth I, and the first of Henry's wives to be beheaded... She met a gruesome end, at the hands of an Executioner with a sword in his hands. 
Her ghost is often seen wandering through the courtyards of the Tower, sometimes with her head on her shoulders, others with her head in her hands but usually pale and bloody... Her ghost became the inspiration behind Rudh's 7th look of Halloween and so we light a candle for a lost Queen...

Caught in the Shooting Starlight

Today was a crazy, mental, bonkers day at work. Amsterdam is crazy, mental, bonkers due to it being in the middle of Pride. There is so much excitement in the city, but it's just making work a mental place to work in... I will admit that I LOVE the vibrancy, the life, the bright sparkly happy feeling, even if it makes me feel like I'm lost in space, somewhere where it's light and bright but a little bonkers... 

I'm lost in a neon space, the lights are shooting around me and the sparkles are brilliant in bright pinks and blues... It made me a little crazy, and the demonness in me burst into the light, she's not your average demonness, this one is all about the neon bright lights... She's a party animal! A raver! A lover of the bright starlight, oh and a lover of that super special Cosmic Ice Cream - from Hangry!

Neon Dolly

Today has been a cold, dark day - a real February kinda day when the dark draws in the Spring in March... So I've been hiding away, wrapped up under a blanket reading a book while not feeling so great, but there was something missing... I finally realized what it was when I flipped on the TV... COLOUR! I needed something bright and cheerful to lighten my mood... Luckily I had just the thing in mind, something bright colourful and even with a little Afterglow!

All those neon colors, under the neon lights, bright and shiny and glowing with a definite Afterglow, but that may be all thanks to the fact that I'm bringing a few items from the Afterglow event out to play today! 
Rudh's a little like a weird, neon, play doll it seems... Wearing a collar - that unfortunately you cannot see too clearly but comes with an awesome stabby mechanism from Tardfish for protection! - and a fab Fishnet Bodysuit - from Normandy - this little dolly comes with her own Bullet Band, for added sensation!
