Apocalyptic-ish Ramblings!

When you're lost and alone, wandering the dusty streets of the post-apocalyptic you can head on down to Tralala's Diner to get yourself a delicious burger... It will help you with the desolation, the loneliness and the sadness, it will make you smile!!! 

Feeling a little less girly than I have been recently is definitely making me feeling somewhat happier though, I'm loving getting back into my dead doll roots a little bit, and well... Halloween isn't that far away! Today being a little post apocalyptic I've pulled on a mask - good in both world's for wearing one I am - and granted it's a little more dangerous looking in SL but that's the fault of PSYCHO.Byts with their Feral Gerd Masks - available now at ACCESS - and it's funny that my mask covers more than my Mug' top but that's also because of my Cyber Pasties from the MuggleBorn Mainframe! 

OH and one more thing that I want to point out, is the little red dot on my amazing Mug top... It's not actually a dot, it's a Boma Cola Bottle Cap Necklace that comes with some earrings and a tongue piercing - you can get your set too amongst the Desolation from Star Sugar!

Almost time to Sleeping Beauty

Right now I'm not in the mood, I've been feeling like I've been hit by a truck and just wish the world would stop. I'd planned to do something kick butt and gothic - been living closely to my dead girl side recently - but for some reason I cannot do that and I need to find a place I can get lost in... 

DISNEY ALWAYS HELPS! Luckily for me, a designer I blog for came to the rescue with a set that's made for little princesses!! 

Star Sugar made a gacha collection filled with Sleeping Beauty goodies - from the comfortable looking bedroom furniture to the Spindle, Aurora's Crown, the Book and even the dresses on mannequins and Fauna's Cake - this is the perfect bedroom set for a Sleeping Beauty. 

Being a princess is hard work, when you get a chance to sleep  you need something really pretty that can double up as princess pyjamas... Now I know it's not really a nightdress, but the Lovely Alien Lovebird Dress makes for a pretty dress to go out in but even prettier pyjamas...

It's getting late in the day, and I've really taken the idea of a Lazy Sunday and made it super lazy, but then I was struck with the idea of wanting to do something bloggerlicious, and well it felt kinda a good idea to do a little look of the day... Now I warn you I'm not so good at these, but when an outfit makes you happy, why not share it with everyone?! 

Granted I look a little more slutalicious than normal - I mean I don't usually tend to walk around with my nip nips on show, but I LOVE this look, and it's too good not to share, at least I think so anyway!!! 

The Bra that I'm wearing as a top, is actually a Pool Party Gacha Item from Mug', it's the #1 Item, a Naughty Bikini, and it kinda lives up to it's name!!! I pulled a Cynful cardigan on - in an attempt to look less naughty - and added a collar and chain from GABRIEL which I guess didn't help lol... 

I did cover my butt - I was always told "tits out ass in, ass out tits in" LOL - so I was kinda good... I LOVE these shorts, I bought them in the Saturday Sale from miss.chelsea! 

It's my look of the day, and I'm lucky my Dad cannot see it LOL...

Finding the Magic in Fairy Shoes!

The magic seems to be fading, and the Midsummer Enchantment is drifting to a slow close - not that I'm unhappy about it, it just means we're one step closer to Halloween lol - but as the magic of the summer begins to fade we have to start looking elsewhere for our magic... 

While walking around, exploring a little, Rudh came across one of the most magical things... A Fairy Circle... You could see the magic sparkling within, and it was just perfect timing... Magic is something that she needs right now... 

She stepped into the Magical Fairy Circle - a creation by Raindale at this year's Midsummer Enchantment, which actually I should tell you closes it's doors tomorrow so DON'T MISS OUT!! - and sat down on a large wooden stump, kicking off my gorgeous, but not so walking through the woods friendly, Lyndis Booties - from Wicca's Originals - to rest my poor feet... 

It happened a few moments later, I fell into a sleep surrounded by the scent of cotton candy and when I woke after what seemed like an eternity - but could really have just been moments - a pair of the prettiest, daintiest fairy shoes... Like something from a fairytale, princess shoes that are made for dancing - the Viki "Tremane" Shoes, I should add hehe...

One more thing I want to add, aside from the story I'm sharing is a little close-up... You can see hints at my rings but you really need to see these gorgeous Velika Rituals "Eternal Mist" Rings, not to forget my Dark Passions "Lunar Tear" Nails too!!! Hence, a close-up was needed...

Snacks in the Dreadful Depths

There is a strange and distant rumbling, if you listen closely you can hear it calling... Luring you out of the comfort of your warm safe homes and to the sea... The sea isn't what's calling you though, it's something way more sinister, way down in the Dreadful Depths of Aenigma...

At Undersea Cove, a deviant little dark mermaid is hiding in some weed to eat her delicious octopus Tentacles in a bowl from Boutique 187 - available at Aenigma now - but I guess that's kinda cannibalistic since this little sea monster is more octopus than mermaid... Her monstrous eyes, the Eldrich's Curse - actually her Unstable Tongue by the way - and the markings on her skin - tattoos from Lilithe' for Aenigma, with the Axix  Tentacle marks of her prey... As the future snacks swim around her body - Dumbo Octopus from NAMINOKE, that look and taste a little like octopopcorn!

Wonder If I Have Cell Phone Service?!

It's one of those lazy Sundays when I feel like I'm a little lost, I don't really know what to do, where to go and I definitely cannot seem to get my mind into gear to do anything that seems anywhere remotely like work?! All I want to do is be lazy and veg... Get lost in a book, on a far away adventure... 

Today's adventure may be a little shock to some of you... I am never normally into exploring space, because I have a bit of a massive phobia of aliens, but I can't help being a lover of the stars... I LOVE the sparkle, I love the fact that they are shining down us from billions of miles and can bring a smile to my face as they twinkle hello! 

Any chance I can be sparkly and covered in stars, I'm going to take it... So I put the "Drops of Jupiter" by Train and I'm dancing around in sparkles... A gorgeous skirt from CELESTE - which the photo doesn't really do justice by the way - called Falling Star and the sparkles move over the sheer fabric... When the Magic Happens...

At certain times we all need a little magic in our lives. Something to pep us up when we're feeling down, or to help us feel a little more confident... I've never gotten so far as to dabble too much into magic, but it's something that's always been something that impressed me... From the silly magic tricks of old school magicians at kids parties, to something more meaningful like tarot readings and the power of crystals I've always been intrigued, I've lived a life filled with reading fairytales, and I love nothing more than that feeling of magic swirling around... 

At the Magic Shop in the Ministry of Darkness, I decided that it was time to harness my inner magic. It's the perfect time to unleash it, the world is full of a Midsummer Enchantment. She's trying to unfreeze Devlin's Iced Heart - a Boutique 187 item - and the magic slowly started to swirl around the room... 

It's the magic of the Midsummer's Enchantment that's aiding a normally non-magical being like myself to do some amazing things... Of course, looking the part is also important, and I think this dress is one of my new favourites! This dress is a new release from Oubliette, for the current Midsummer Enchantment round, and it comes in a huge collection of colours... It was such a difficult choice to choose the one I wore today. With the addition of jewellery from bubble, and a head chain from Zombie Suicide, I think it was partly the outfit that let the magic take control... When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good... MAGIC!

Flamingos make Fabulous Friends!

Today is my first day off for the week, and then I'm working a lot more than I was during the lock down. In some way's it's good to be busy but I'm loving those days, when I get time to be at home again finally hehe... So what did I do on my day off today I hear you ask... well... I made some new friends and danced with them in their happy little home... 

My new friends are an awesome flock of flamingos in a cool secluded pond on a beach I was exploring... They were amazingly friendly, and even let me slip into the cool water with them to dance among them - it was going to be a flamingo pose ya know on one leg, but I cannot keep my balance so this gorgeous pose from Secret Poses at Summer Camp happened! 

I think it had something to do with the fact that they felt I was one of them... I had the matching hair, and there was a rose pinned to my new swimsuit...  On the subject of my new swimsuit, you NEED to take a good look at my outfit... Isn't is so adorably retro... It's a new release from 1313 Mockingbird Lane for The Epiphany called Margot - reminds me a little of something Margot from The Good Life, an old British TV series. The collection includes 6 different swimsuit colours and 4 different skirt options, with a VIP reward for playing a certain amount of times AND an exclusive skirt colour set!!! I LOVE IT!!! Seems like the flamingos liked it too!!!

The Demon in the Bible

I felt it coming... I feel my dark and devious side pushing through - it tends to come out when I'm either extremely happy, or totally down - I've been in an unhappy place for the past couple of days, what a way to spend a weekend right?

I wandered around the Ministry of Darkness, being a good little demon and sticking the rules about wearing a face mask, as I wandered through the abandoned graveyard feeling more than a little melancholy... 

Now being a resourceful little demon I couldn't find a mask at home, so in the church in the graveyard I grabbed one of their Bibles - a Bible Face Mask from Luc at the new round of equal10  - and well... I guess it will have to do... It's kinda part of the territory being a little demonic and desecrating something holy, right?

Like I said though, not in the best place mentally right now... The demon is in control, and I will be hiding...

A wedding on a Midsummer Enchantment

What could be more enchanting than a late evening wedding, something a little dark and on the deathly side - a Midsummer's Enchantment with a Til Death moment in the magical gardens of the even grounds... 

Midsummer Enchantment has opened it's doors once again for another round of Summertime Magic... The collection of designers this round is great, with some pretty Midsummer Enchantment magic running through all of the booths!! There will be lots of things to come from the event - as I said it's open now, but it runs until July 26th, with exclusives and a mini hunt for 5L items taking place whilst it's open. 

For some reason though, I figured what a beautiful way to start a midsummer off than with an evening wedding... Don't anyone get any ideas, there won't actually be a wedding, but a gorgeous dress - the Love "Til Death" - and sign -  seemed perfect for the central point of the Midsummer Enchantment location and there's nothing more enchanting than a magical wedding?! Right?

Kitty Cats in Pandasia

When you're sorting through your inventory that's become more of a cave of wonders, as it's so full, than a closet or even a storage container, you may find some amazing treasures buried in the deep dark corners...  

One of my discoveries was something that I had planned to blog a LONG time ago now was something a little Asian inspired, and well one thing lead to another and I had something that became an outfit, and a story began to form. 

At the gorgeous location that is the Isle of Pandasia - which is an Asian inspired, fantasy land - I decided to take my Forest Cats for a walk... My outfit was somewhat Asian inspired, and I say that loosely! VERY loosely! 

The entire reason that this outfit came to life was I re-found these amazing Pussy Footing Gets and Toe Socks from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. I hope I'm not gonna be in trouble with Izzy for forgetting I had them, but they are in the mainstore and soooo worth checking out!!! The Getas are CAT SHAPED!! I pulled them on, wiggling my toes into the toes of the socks, and added this cute Yuuna bodysuit from Luas - I'll admit, I was too shy to go out with my tata's out, so I added a little boob tube underneath, but isn't it a cute set!!!

Home "Sweet" Bad Lands Home!

The whole time that the Bad Lands of Aenigma have been open, you've been allowed into the the world of one of it's inhabitants... You met her raptor accomplice - who was lost to the battles in the Bad Lands - and you've been with her on a food run to the diner, but now she's letting you in where she's most vulnerable! Now you're being allowed into her little sanctuary, the dilapidated shelter that she calls home in the heart of the Bad Lands... 

Not many could love a shack like this, but it's easily defend-able, and it's dry! Two major plus points, I'm sure! It's got all the things she needs, a hammock to sleep in, some water bottles and even old Grit Jerrycans that's have been attached to backpacks for easy carrying - thanks to cinful, they will fit any avatar size, since the straps are modifiable which is great news for avis big and small, but they can also be rezzed to make great props! 

As it may be our last trip into the Bad Lands, this may be the last time you see the kick ass little Rudhie she's become, but the fashion trip she's been on has been one of many post-Apocalyptic rides and it's been a lot of fun... This last look is a little more casual perhaps - in an outfit by BADA - I mean she's chilling at home after all, but maybe she's working on something... She looks kinda grubby - thanks to this Cold War tattoo from DeadBoy.Ink - and her Shelter Goggles - from milkyway - may kinda give that away... Maybe it's some more Bad Lands Jewellery?! I mean she's wearing some epic shinies... A choker of bullets, or an Ammo Choker some might say - from Six Feet Under, that yes I did make just a little bigger so you could see it under her chin more clearly, but it's now one of my new favourite jewellery items! - and this amazing Mayhem Face Chain - a gacha release from unstable for the current Aenigma round - made up of all the little pretties she's found as she's been exploring... As for what she will make next, that's an Aenigma!!! (Sorry it's too punny... I'm laughing out loud, like the lame ass I am hehe).

Beach Cabana!

I feel like taking a vacation, somewhere hot and sunny so I can just chill in a shady spot on the beach with a good book and a mojito... I found this amazing place to take a break, at Dya's Scent of the Caribbean, you can relax and walk through the door onto the soft sandy beach... It's almost like heaven... 

In the lovely open house, on the Caribbean beach, I slipped into a girlie tropical bikini from Belle Epoque... and picked up my matching bag - both of these adorable Belle Epoque items are available at Anthem... Heading out to the beach... I am going to rest and relax!

Fae in the Dark Places

I got dragged away with the fairies again today, and deep in the underground mines I stumbled upon a magical cavern - deep in the Ethereal Forest... The fae within me was desperate to come out, and the dark magic swirled... I pulled out the wand that I keep in my boots - carved from a dead fairy skeleton - and let the magic take over... 

She's dark and mysterious, due to the magic from her dead fae wand, and she wears the Survivor Headpiece - a crown with the skull of a deer from Tentacio at Aenigma - and crystals that have been added to her necklace to enhance her powers...

The Bad Lands have been open for a couple of weeks now, and there's so much happened... Sorry it has taken me this long to write, but after losing my dinosaur buddy in the initial melee attacks I've been kinda busy defending myself, my home and everything that goes along with it... They call it the Bad Lands for a reason, ya know?! 

I finally managed to get out of the house for a while and head over to Tralala's Diner for something to eat, but I'd only leave the house while carrying my trusty Survivor's Cutlery - from Skellybones at Aenigma until July 15th. My face already bares the scars of the Imatra - a Nefekalum Tattoo - so I protect it behind a Badwolf MadMask and pierce my Orc Ears - which happen to be my favourite new ears released from Haro for Aenigma by the way - with claws of my enemies... 

I really hope the diner has burgers, but how good would the burgers be in the Bad Lands?!

Books on Tape

I LOVEEEEEE Reading... I've always been an avid reader, and over the past few days I've not been wanting to log into SL due to an overly busy few days at work and a feeling of depression... The biggest thing causing this is that I miss my RL family, so I've been avoiding anything that involves social interaction. Hence why I've been reading a lot... All kinda of books, in all different genres... I was wondering though, what do people think about books on tape?!

When I was younger, I enjoyed them. I would fall asleep listening all kinds of stories that would allow me to drift off into all kinds of different magical, fantastical lands... As I got older though, I stopped listening to these tapes and started reading more for myself. I still love disappearing to those magical, fantastical lands, but I've started finding it better to read it and create the voices in my own head and bring the characters to life... 

What do others think? Do you enjoy them? Is there anyone that you'd recommend reading stories?
