Tulip Season!

The sun has been shinging so much lately and it really feels like feels like the Spring has finally sprung  around here. I love all of the flowers that seem to be popping up, and brightening up the world and I SERIOUSLY think there are so many peopleout there that need to stop and smell the flowers. The world is a scary place right now, and things are chaos and it's more than a little scary. We all need to stop and smell the flowers... 

One of the best places to get themselves a lovely place to stop and smell the flowers is very close to where I am currently living... The area surrounding the farm I'm staying on is surrounded by row upon row of tulip fields apparently. I'm waiting to see all the colours pop, everything looks a little too green at the moment... 
I'm going to wait until it's just right and then head out into the fields to get myself one of those instagram pinterest style aesthetic photos... 
If I can't in RL then I may well just do it in Second Life... I have the perfect outfit all ready, a cute little Posy Set - from miss chelsea, available until March 30th at Anthem - and I'm ready to stop and smell the flowers, making sure that I have some to take home...

Wandering into Wonderland

Honestly I'm OVER Valentine's already but wanted to do something with hearts and flowers and a little cuteness to at least try and stay with the romantic feels... I spent a long time dreaming of what I could do that would make me smile and feel a little less grumpy than I have been and I seem to have drifted off into a dream land... When I woke up I was drifting into a magical place, a Wonderland of my own... 

The mirror in my room, started to get a little hazy, there was a certain amount of magic that seemed to be floating through the mirror and so I decided to let it see where it would take me and what wonderful things would happen... The mirror's reflection drew me in, as I got close it started to change, and before I knew it, I was stepping through into Wonderland... 
As I stepped through, the mirrors magic dressed me for the part, an outfit fit for Lewis Carroll himself and most wonderfully weird and wonderful imaginings...

Moving all that Emotional Baggage

This week and next are CRAZY busy weeks in my RL. From February 26th, HellBone and I don't have access to our house in RL because we are having some MAJOR rennovations done that are necessary and we HAVE to get things done. SO, HellBone and I are tidying, packing, sorting and prepping not only ONE but TWO places because luckily for us, my boss was willing to let us live on one of their properties... I have large amounts of anxiety over my roughly 6-month temporary relocation, but for now I'm just getting things ready... 

Every time I have a day off it's like the typical Moving Day scene - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - there are boxes and cleaning supplies and mess everywhere... It's not just the stuff though, it's all the emotional baggage that I'm carrying - represented so perfectly by The Bearded Guy's What I Carry box - that is making this harder. I am exhausted, I am running on high anxiety and I can feel the clock ticking in a count down to when we are needing everything done and ready by... The cat isn't helping too as she's stressing while the house empties around her and she screams at the top of her little lungs in the voice of her people... I wish there was more hours in the day, just a few hours more then I'd be able to have a proper dinner, rather than just some pizza in my mouth as I dash past... Although Mouth Pizza is flipping delicious...

My Disney Princess Moment!

It's been a day off for me and I've taken some time to look after myself and get some fun things done for me... I wanted to catch up on some blogging, play with some outfits and get some of my inventory sorted... 
I spent lots of time singing along, badly I might add, to a playlist of Disney songs and thus I was channelling my inner-Disney Princess... 

It helped that I spent a lot of time playing around today in some gorgeously pretty dressed, that I had picked up when I went to shop at the Midnight Order... That place is magical and the fashions are fit for the princesses amongst us... 
The Dolce Far Niente Gardens - a backdrop from K&S - is slowly shacking off it's Winter wear and the birdies are coming back in search of something delicious... So I took more of an opportunity to live my Disney Princess dreams and, even though I actually sounded more like Princess Fiona in Shrek, I had a little sing song with the birdies...

On the First of December...

Today is the first day of Advent, and that means the countdown officially begins. Every day for the next 24 days takes us one step closer to the most festive day of the year. It feels like I have a lot to do, but I'm taking it very slow and I'm planning on enjoying myself every step of the way... It's been a special day, one that started with the opening of my multiple Advent calendars... 

I have multiple Advent calendars this year... An online one from my Grandparents, a card one from my mum, my epic Book Advent Calendar that is my Christmas gift from HellBone, but in SL I have two... One is a Countdown 'til Christmas Calendar - which is the current group gift from MadPea and makes for a perfect decoration for those that want to count down until the big day - and the other is the always epic and FILLED with amazing gifts from some wonderful designers, MadPea Advent Calendar for 2024... The line-up of stores that have added a little gift to the collection this year is amazing, with the likes of miss chelsea, Aardvark, Tardfish and The Kiwi Co - all of which are my sponsors and I'm excited to see them as part of something like this - but many more too... 
Once I opened today's treat, and I'm not going to reveal what it is although it's cute and such a fun first gift, I realised that I now have to sit around a wait for tomorrow, so I pulled out some of my decorative toys, the Soldier Plushie Bear - from FINCA - and the Nutcrackers to make the festive little village feel more lived in...

Meeting the Residents

I've had a particularly difficult day, I feel like sometimes customers are lovely and others they treat you like you're way below them and you aren't very important at all... If I could get away with it, I'd want to say "Excuse me, if you don't talk to me like I'm a normal human being then I'm done feeding you cheese"... Please remember that people working in retail, are people too... 
I came home from work today and had to stop off to get myself something for dinner... I had convinced myself I wanted something healthy... That turned into a pack of cheesy bullcrap... 

That didn't happen, Hell wanted a take-away and a curry was what he had in mind... Not that I was complaining, although Rudh had picked up healthy things in her Groceries bag, and even stopped to pet the neighbours dogs as she waited by the elevators...
