The Walk of Shame

Yesterday was my 19th Second Life Rez Day and that meant that she has now enterd the final year of her SL teens... That's a big scary thought... I've been in SL for nearly 2 decades... WHAT THE HECK where did time go???
Of course, being the typical teenager that she is, it was definitely a good reason to go out for a little party!!!

Now that a new day has begun, and in my neck of the woods almost finished, Rudh willbe suffering the consequences of her fun time out partying... When you get old it always seems to feel harder after a drink or two. Maybe that's just me but I aways end up feeling yucky the next morning, and hangovers definitely last a week or more LOL...
She made the walk of shame home this morning... The lights were just coming on in the houses as people were waking up to start their days... She´d decided that the hair of the dog was a good idea, carrying home with her a Wine Box of Pink Moscato - which is an Anthology release from Junk Food - that may or may not be leaking over her shoes... Just gotta hpe she can get home before HellBone wakes up...

The Naughtiest of Games

Today I let myself get out of my comfort zone and allowed myself to be affected by the smut that I've been reading lately... I don't normally tend to get myself too naughty when I'm taking pictures as firstly it's not something I feel good at, secondly I worry that people might think it's too much... There are a lot of great SL photographers that take amazing sexual photos but I'm terrible at it... 
However, I wanted to get a little naughty, the books are effecting my mind, and well... It's time for a little game...

Chocolate Cake for the Devil

It's Friday Night, and most people are ready for the weekend now, I wish I could say I was too but I still have to work a full day tomorrow... It's never a piece of cake to be a working girl in Amsterdam these days, but now that I think of it, I would probably be more interested in the cake than the actual working... Not that I'm anti hard work, but cake always seems like such a good reward... 

I've decided that I should lock myself into one of those amazing, little red rooms in the oldest parts of Amsterdam, a quaint little Lvive Red Room - a backdrop from Synnergy - and even though I'm technically supposed to be working, I've decided to take a little break and indulge in some Chocolate Cheesecake - from Junk Food - that's covered in Strawberries... Although perhaps I should have washed my hands rather than thinking it would be a good idea to get a Mouth Mess as the chocolate went everywhere...

Baby Snowflakes...

Just the other day, the Snow Fae were here spreading their various different flakes around - not just in RL but in SLtoo - and as much as I like looking at the snow I'm always terrified of the fact that I might slip and hurt myself. Let's face it, my track record for NOT falling on the ice is a terrible one... 
Yet all of this brand new snowfall, is causing the birth's of so many brand new baby snowflakes... Each one pretty, sparkling and soft, babies to bring happiness to the winter days... 

On the edge of the wintery forest, one of the prettier, softer snowflake faes is there to make sure that these brand new baby snowflakes are taught to dance in the breeze. The super soft snowflake - the fatpack exclusive in the Xmas Huggables from vespertine at Kustom9 - is one of the newest babies to be created... The light Snow Fae are very protective of the new flake babies, wrapping them in a veil of their dancing bretheren. Their wintery and glimmer halos - from ERSCH and duckie, as naughty gifts available at Santa Inc - sparkle and cause the breezes that allow the snowflakes to learn to dance.

Pizza on Cyber Monday

After the Black Friday weekend and all of the fabulous sales that were dominant in Second Life this weekend - I've seen it said that the sales in SL seem better than they were in RL, and I think that I am in agreement with that statement - the sales were epic and massive in their number. Although now that Monday has come around, there has recently been a new day in the sales calendar, Cyber Monday... Of course, although it's an extra day of shopping, today is the chance for me to do Cyber in a different kinda way... 

Tonight, I'm heading into the Old Arcade - a pose set with the arcade machine props from Fashiowl Poses - where the new and shiny cyborgs are hanging out to dine on some delicious Pizza. Eating Pizza is a messy business, and the cheese seemed to get everywhere. You have to be so careful that you don't get the cheese on the fabulous old Caddy Couches - from Krescendo - which happen to be so comfortable, you won't resist being able to sit on them...

An Extra Long Hotdog with Mustard!

I'm a bit lost at the moment, I'm a little bit confused and more than a little hungry... I need to find something to eat but at the same time I need to find my blogging Mojo... I think I lost it since Halloween has gone and I have no idea what to do with myself anymore LOL... What do you do when you have no more Halloween fun to blog anymore?! I'm lost... I'm going to have to find something delicious to take my mind off it... 

I ended up letting my feet lead my stomach, and I found some delicious nomnom baguettes in a local PewPew deli. I had plans to turn it into garlic bread, sandwiches and possible dip some into fondue, but as I was wandering along a Fall Pathway - a backdrop from Synnergy - I caught a smell that smelled delicious. I ended up asking the hot dog vendor to put one of his dogs in a stick and make me an ExtraLong Hot Dog with tonnes of delicious mustard...

Dinner at the Monsterize Diner

It's Halloween Eve... Tomorrow is the most wonderful day of the year, it's Halloween, and there have been so many amazing Halloween costumes this year that I couldn't be more excited to think what I'll be tomorrow on the big day itself! 
Tonight though it's time for me to get something to eat, something to make my tummy happy... I know that the best place to get dinners is the Monstrize Diner. The fries here are the best... The waitresses bring you dinner to your car, I just hope that you don't mind the blood... 

The waitress at the Monstrize Diner are dressed in the cutest of outfits that come in a rainbow of colours, the shift I picked up happened to be a yellow day, and they come with an adorable little hat, perfect so long as you don't mind the previous shift workers blood stains - an OLD outfit from Psycho.Byts and Tentacio - AND if you don't mind the fact that the chef gets a bit mad sometimes and stabs those that get in the way... 
Still it's worth a visit for the most amazing fries, they are best of Fry-Day - like the ones from Mui - and for the halloween season the super amazing Witchy Bucket meal - that's available from Junk Food...

Darkness in the Light

Halloween draws closer each day and for the last few days of my now 29 days of Halloween looks - lol yes 29 because I've missed 2 days so far and yes I'm fairly disappointed in myself for missing those two days - and I feel like right now I need to do something a little darker... Let's say it's because of thepain in my foot after my trip but the darkness is calling me, it's dark and mysterious out there in the black abyss...  

Deep in the darkness of The Forgotten - one of the best SL Events at this time of year - you can bump into all different kinds demonic monsters... 
Today we've bumped into one that is a little dark and demonic, but hiding in a place of the light, where it's warm and cozy... She's helped herself to a delicious bottle of juice from the "Pick your Poison" brand of drinks - available from hive at Equal10 - and standing there in the lava-like light she really catches and demands the attention.. 
Her head encircled by halos - like the Ishtar Headpiece from Six Feet Under, and the Shairi Halo from Petrichor at Trick or Treat Lane - allowing the passer by to see that she's a higher ranking demon. Her skin is marked up, blackened by the heat and scarred with Valhalla markings - from GERMINAL at Necrotize - and she definitely makes a statement, and she'd love to see you in the dark!!!

Getting Trolled!

Last night I missed doing a 31 days of Halloween post since I had to go to the airport in RL to pick up my father, but there were accidents and I really didn't feel like sitting on my own and writing a blog post for a costume that I hadn't prepared... 
Today though was a different story. I had fallen in love with something that had been available for the Happy Weekend sale, and as soon as I got my hands on them, I knew that today's look would be something a little bit of a trolling post... 

It's Troll-tastic... I'm off my trolley.. I can't get enough trolling puns... 
It's all because of the fact that he Halloween trolls - from imbue at this weekend just gones Happy Weekend - are heading down to Spooky Street - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - for their own little Halloween celebration... 
I knew that if I wanted to join them then I had to get my Troll on... I died my hair a bright blue and gelled it up into a long Trollish style - thanks to a wig from Tableau Vivant - wanting to match their crazy styles I painted my face with a little make-up and glued a troll gem into my chest...

A Sheepish Looking Rebel

 After a long day at work, and a feeling of it being FAR too stressful than it should have been, I'm finally done selling cheese to demanding tourists. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my job, but sometimes people on holiday seem to forget their manners when talking to retail staff... Don't click your fingers at me, it might work in your culture but when you're here, you can ask me things nicely... Heading home, loud music in my ears, a chance to sit and forget the days stresses, in the past I'd have gone for a coffee and a cigarette I don't smoke anymore but sometimes the desire is there... 

I don't have to get on a train to get home, luckily I can get a bus that stops almost right in front of my door, but Rudh needs to get on a train from the Station B-324 - a backdrop from PALETO - heading north. Whilst she was waiting, Rudh decided to grab a coffee and have a sneaky cigarette - thanks to a Coffee Cup set from Boutique #187 - even though she's a total rebel doing so right below a no smoking sign... Perhaps that's the reason for the sheepish look on her face..

A World of Burton

As the courtcase of one of his best friends seems to have taken over the media throughout the world, Mr Tim Burton has taken over a lot of Second Life this week as there is an Enchantment that has gone a little Burton-esque... Christmas Nightmares, Juice with Beetles and a touch of Wonderland have taken over, not to mention there is a demon barber on the loose... If SL wasn't scary enough at times, the monstrous mind of Mr Burton has taken over... 

This is definitely not the End of Story - a backdrop from K&S - though, the creatures have now found their own happy little lives in Second Life. Hiding in amongst the Curly Wurly Trees - a new release from LOVE for Enchantment - inhabitants of wonderland seek guidance and luckily for them Rudh and her gorgeous new Sand Slug friend - from Tardfish, also at Enchantment - are here to lead the way...

Dino Nuggets Take Me Back!

I had to make dinner, I hate making dinner just for myself as I always feel like I cannot be bothered. There are a few staples that I always keep in the freezer just on the off-chance; fish fingers, pizza, french fries... The usual, horrible, frozen fast food, but very occasionally on the very odd occasion, I have some chicken nuggets...
Though tonight I sought something quick and easy, and hit the jackpot... DINO NUGGETS!!! I couldn't believe my luck, I hadn't had them since I was a kid... They seemed to magically take me back in time... 

I ended up feeling like I was passing through time so much that I was transported through time to a land where the dinosaurs weren't only on my plate... At first I had a bit of a shock, thinking I'd been transported so far back in time, the Dinosaurs still ruled the world, but upon further inspection it was just to another memory from my childhood and the land of Jurassic Park... 
Now as I was looking around I noticed that I wasn't the only one looking to indulge in my plate of delicious Junk Food - the Dino Nuggets are a Junk Food release - I think I got company... I wonder if the new dinosaur buddy of mine, will realize I'm actually NOT a dinosaur, how long do you think I can hide in my Home-Made Dino hat - from Ananas?!

Pretty Clutter on the Shelf!

Keeping the house tidy... It's something that we're all expected to do unless we're able to have someone to do it for you. I will fully admit that I HATE cleaning, and the worst of the worst is dusting... I HATE dusting. The only problem wih that is that I have so many itty, bitty things, and that the city I live in is terrible for creating dust, so therefore if I don't do it often enough, it could easily become a scene in any horror film...

I love that about Second Life though, I can have all kinds of pretty things decorating each an every surface in my house without any need to clean them up. I have gadgets and gizmos a plenty, hoozits and whatsits galore, there are trinkets on every surface...
Beautiful lamps - like the one from Lucas Lameth - sit alongside potion bottles - from Short Leash, at My Bloody Valentine - books balance precariously alongside beautiful potted plants, and the most interesting of pictures are balanced on the shelves... This pictures in particular is a special one, it's a Bell'angelo, a Living Masterpiece - from Short Leash at Abnormality - filled with the prettiest of rose demons... Roses are beautiful but the thorns are definitely the playthings of the rose demon...
Since she's not so clear in the main picture, I had to add a little close-up, isn't she pretty?!

The Kitty Stow Away!

I want to get out of my house, I want to do something fun and adventurous, I know that I can't but right now I'm desperate to get away from home... Maybe I'll get a chance to go home and see my parents sometime soon... I'd really like that... 
I even went so far as to pack up my bags, grab a bag of groceries, and head toward the station looking for a chance to run away...

It's the month of romance and since I've been stuck in bed, I found myself watching old movies again... Movies I loved from my younger days. The kind of movies where a girl gets swept into a life changing romance with a little magic in for good measure... Movies like "The Princess Diaries", "Never been Kissed" and one of my old favourites "10 Things I hate About You!" 
All this romance, and all these movies, I'm slipping back into daydreams I had where I was going to these dances to live start my life as a fairytale princess - yes I was that kind of teenage girl, a dreamer lol... 

So in all those movies, there tends to be a school dance, which I would say ALWAYS seems more interesting than the one I went to at High School. The reason that I'm rambling on about this today is because I've been playing around with the brand new, gorgeous release from miss chelsea - available until February 28th at Anthem - which as soon as I played with this pink colour reminded me of Bianca Stratford's dress in "10 Things I Hate About You" and from that moment on Rudh was going to her own Prom hehe... 

After losing out to the Prom Queen title, a sash was given to Rudh as she became Miss Congeniality - which is another AWESOME movie by the way - it was time to celebrate. Slipping away from the dance floor, following the delicious smell of Candyfloss... Delicious Cotton Candy, one of the best kinds of Junk Food types you can find... So Much Sugar!!

Pausing for a Moment...

A brief moment of respite from all of the cute, pretty, flowery stuff that February is all about to reflect on things... I know I've mentioned it a few times this past month but now that February has started, I'm already over a month past my life scare and I'm now evaluating things to make sure I don't let them dwell in my already, over thinking mind... 

It never hurts to pause for a moment, have a coffee, or in Rudh's case a sneaky smoke - of a cigar rather than a cigarette this time - thanks to the laid back "Cigar" Pose from Secret Poses at Shiny Shabby - and for my break I decided to chillax on the Hotel balcony, watching the city way below, wondering if I'll be able to sleep in this room tonight with all the glowing neon around...

That Long Drive Home...

Being stuck at home in bed for so long I'm left to think far too much... While I'm trying to put the ideas out of my mind, about how close I came to not being here anymore, it's getting harder to be without my family... I've heard though that Mum and Dad have booked a trip to come over and see me, and it's making everything feel a little better - like a medicine for the soul... 

It's not quite going home and spending time in the UK, which always feels like a chance to heal just by breathing the air - which I don't care what anyone says the air is different in the UK than it is in the Netherlands LOL... 
However, it's still a feeling of coming home, having the chance to be able to give my parents a hug and be in their presence. In RL, I'd be taking a a trip with a car packed with goodies and my favourite plushie - that I've had since I was a tiny baby - but in SL he doesn't exist and this adorable Doodle Pup - from Foxwood for the Saturday Sale this weekend - is a close fit to how he'd look if he was real hehe... 
One of my favourite things in this picture though, is this adorable "Arielle" Crop Top - from Decoy during this weekend's Happy Weekend Sale - and although I've always LOVED Decoy because of it's creative designs and beautiful colour collections, I recently had the honour of being invited to blog for the store too... I'm so excited, and two lots of good news today make me a very happy girl!!

An Evening in the City

 After a busy day at work, I have to say that heading home is always a great feeling... I have to say that closing the shop and heading out into the dark streets of Amsterdam can feel a little scary sometimes, but the lights and the sounds and all the people still milling around having a lovely evening can be a little exciting... 
Walking through the streets, it made me think of my latest look of the day and the fact that it would be perfect to wander through certain streets in the city I call home... 

It's definitely onf of those blog posts today that's about a Look of the Day more than anything that is a floght of my imagination... I've been wearing this outfit for a few days and I love it, but after I've done wearing it for a few days I have to get out, take a picture and move on to something new LOL... 
It started with a 1313 Mockingbird Lane Norma Jean Bikini - that yes I'm wearin just the top of - and added an adorable skirt from Psycho Barbie, finishing it off with some duckie Hitched Stockings and a Gabriel One-Shoulder Riders Jacket...

Potty Break for the Balloon Puppies

The circus has rolled into town once again and now that the tent has been set up, the animals have been safely stowed into their outdoor homes and the backstage area with the costumes and lights have been prepared for when the show begins... 
Rudh had just one more task to do before she can get ready for the show... Rudh has to take the doggies out for a little potty break... 

Since the circus is a magical place, you might have realised that Rudh's pets are more than a little magical... These Balloon Dogs - from Boutique #187 - were made by a clown one day and somehow they came to life. So now before the circus starts, they need to be taken for walkies so they can drop a few balloons... 
There's only one problem, just before the walkies were needed... Rudh got herself dressed in costume. Trying hard not to step in the balloons, in her amazing performance shoes - the TakenByTheSky from 1313 Mockingbird Lane, available until the end of today at Inithium - suddenly deciding that she needed to pee, she slipped from the panties of her costume and hid in the long grass, not realising that one of the creepy clowns was perving from behind a trailer! Naughty little clown!!

It's My Second Life Birthday!

Today is a very important day in the life of Rudhmellowen Laguna... Today is my 15th Rez Day, and that means it was exactly15 years ago today that I created my character and logged into the virutal world of Second Life. So much has changed for me in the past 15 years and a lot of that I owe to Second Life... 

So now I know that the picture has hints back to the TV Series Lucifer, and that's probably because I have been catching up on the series... Why not spend my Second Life Birthday in a gorgeous club with some delicious liquor  served up in the gorgeous Skull Liquor bottles - from Junk Food - with some amazing plushies that remind me of the people that I spent so much time with in my early SL days... I was in a family of dragons, and these gorgeous Half-Deer Dragons are adorable to have around.
Fifteen awesome years I've been in SL and I have had some amazingly wonderful years... I met my hubby, I met the best friend I could ever have dreamt of and I'm working in the "game"... I wonder if I'll be here in the next 15 years...
