Spells on Quills causes Mandrake Mischief!

August has begun, and there is still a few signs of the summer to come... At the moment it already feels like the Autumn has arrived, and that means we're one step closer to the best holiday of the year HALLOWEEN!! It's August, It's nearly Halloween... It's Augween!!! 
So pretty soon school will be starting up again, I always loved school but one of my favourite things that happened around this time of year was when Mum said "let's go shopping for school supplies"... It's not just regular school kids that are going back, the wizards of Hogwarts are needing to get their supplies... The Wizarding Faire has opened on Diagon Alley... There is magical shopping to be done...

In Diagon Alley, at the wand store Olivander's - yes I checked that it was correct with my Harry Potter obsessed sister and is actually a Sorcery Photo Stage from [piXit] - where the Wand Shelves - from Quills & Curiosities for Wizarding Faire - are made of walnut and stacked high with thousands of boxed wands in all different shapes, sizes and magics... The owner has popped off on a little vacation to visit a friend in need, and left an apprentice in charge who has taken it upon herself to enchant some of the Candy Quills - also from Quills & Curiosities - that are perfect for writing love notes... Admittedly the magic in the shop HAS caused a few little problems... Mandrakes running everywhere, its a Mandrake Mischief - thanks to the adorable new release from Aardvark, also available now at the Wizarding Faire - and there is chaos all around...

Going My Way? Take Me Home Please!

Work can be quite stressful, but sometimes things can be kinda fun too... Days like today have been more than a little exhausting but the best part of the day is when the store is finally closed and I'm able to head home. I hear my pyjamas calling, there is a cup of tea with my name on it, and I'm desperate to find both... I've tidied and locked up, I've got all my things and I'm heading to the Bus Station for a ride out of town, but that means a quick little trip on a cute little tram... 

"Are you going my way?" a tram heading across town towards the bus station, and Rudh looks so well put together that it makes the real me look like a scruffy muppet.

Giant Sandwiches & Scooby Doo Fantasies!

Every night when it comes to food I have to force myself to plan and cook something for dinner. When the hubby is out working, it's even more difficult to plan something for dinner since I can't find the mojo to plan then cook and eventually clean up all by my self... I don't mind the eating part in the middle, but it's the other stuff that makes it all seem more trying than anything else... 
Some days all I want is a sandwich... 

Sandwiches are both easy to make and delicious, PLUS there is a world of endless possibilities when it comes to sandwich fillings... When I was a teen I LOVED Corned Beef and Pickled Onion, when I was a student I LOVED Fish Finger Sanwiches with lots of HP sauce, and now that I work in a cheese shop I have a bit of an addiction to a Smoked Jalapeno Gouda Cheese with Chorizo and Salad... Honestly I could eat sandwiches for every meal, and lots of sandwiches per sitting...
I used to get jealous of Scooby Doo in the way that he could eat sandwiches, and now thanks to the Junk Food Giant Sandwich I can try to live my Scooby fantasies... I was making some delicious sandwiches, delicious Bologna Sandwiches - also from Junk Food - full of lovely fresh ingredients but once I had a plateful I got a little inspired... Scooby Doo Fantasy, here I come!!

An Extra Long Hotdog with Mustard!

I'm a bit lost at the moment, I'm a little bit confused and more than a little hungry... I need to find something to eat but at the same time I need to find my blogging Mojo... I think I lost it since Halloween has gone and I have no idea what to do with myself anymore LOL... What do you do when you have no more Halloween fun to blog anymore?! I'm lost... I'm going to have to find something delicious to take my mind off it... 

I ended up letting my feet lead my stomach, and I found some delicious nomnom baguettes in a local PewPew deli. I had plans to turn it into garlic bread, sandwiches and possible dip some into fondue, but as I was wandering along a Fall Pathway - a backdrop from Synnergy - I caught a smell that smelled delicious. I ended up asking the hot dog vendor to put one of his dogs in a stick and make me an ExtraLong Hot Dog with tonnes of delicious mustard...

Soup of the Season... PUMPKIN!

I've had a lovely, lazy day off, in which I've done nothing too much more than a little bit of laundry and washing a couple of dishes. Besides that I decided to plan something delicious for dinner, I love having the chance to spend time, planning what I want to cook, and I also spend far too often blogging around dinner time so that my blogging seems to focus on food hehe... 
Today I went down to the local farm, a place called Sunset Rising where the pumpkin patch is already teeming with brilliant orange pumpkins... It's Pumpkin Season! YAY!!

I went with a new friend, a cute little wonky donkey - from Jian - into the field to find a few delicious looking pumpkins. It's not the right time of year yet to get myself pumpkins to crave, though that will come soon, but I have a hankering for some fresh, home-made pumpkin soup. I picked what I needed, promising the rest that I'd come back later, and dipped into the barn to my make-shift kitchen...

Poppy Picking with the Funny Bees

I went exploring today, there have been changes to so many of the places I loved, and new places have popped up so there are lots of brilliant places to discover. One of my favourite places went quiet for a long time but they've brought it back and had it rennovated and it's prettier than ever. 
The place I'm talking about is Lost Unicorn, it's the prefect place where all of the fairies like to congregate. You can walk through the forest, under the trees and into the light and you never know which of the fae folk you'll bump into... 

Today in the forest, you may bump into the prettiest of green fae folk that has been out to collect herself a bunch of July Poppies - from LODE - she's also laced them through her hair. You know how it is, when you're out picking flowers, you can't help prettying your outfit up - the hair and it's flower accessory is available from Doe at Summerfest until July 10th - and it seemed to catch attention of at least one new friend. This particular area of the forest is home to the Funny Bees - from SEmotion Libellune - who are so cute and fluffy, and cannot resist the smell of pretty poppies...

Pizza Delivery to the Angels

Everyone has their favourite foods, and I think that one of my favourite foods just happens to be Pizza... I like to home-make pizza, I like to order pizza and very occasionally I will have a frozen pizza that's quick and easy to warm up... 
I'm sure everyone has their favourite foods, but I wonder, as I'm tucking into a pizza, is there pizza in the afterlife? Is everyone able to get their hands on their favourite foods? Do they do delivery in Heaven? 

If it's not a thing already, perhaps we need to open a pizza delivery service for the angels... We'll be the Pizza Angels... Popcorn And Pizza Stealing Puppies!

Life is fairly slow and simple for me at the moment, so I'm starting to go a little crazy being stuck at home - have to wait until my wounds fully heal before I'm allowed to go back to work, and I never thought I'd miss the cheese shop so much LOL - but I'm doing a lot of sitting around in my comfy jammies, watching crappy tv and eating far too much junk food! 
Normally I am using SL as a place to let my imagination run wild, distracting me from the lazy boredom, but today... Nope today is a Movie Chillax kinda day... 

Getting ready for Movie Night in my SL house is never an easy task. The moment that the doorbell rings and the pizza delivery boy is outside, my fur babies go bonkers wanting a delicious slice of hot, fresh, pizza! I grabbed myself a couple of slices, stuffing them away for safe keeping in the handy pocket of my "VDay for One" Shirt - from Vinyl at this year's wound of Cupid Inc - as I was mobbed by my pack of adorable puppies!! Swimming with the Sushi Fish

There are new rules in Holland as things are beginning to get worse again, meaning there have to be stricter rules... I have such strong feeling that I want to get myself away from here and run somewhere that's totally free of this pandemic... I've decided to let myself drift into a fantasy world, one that's affected by my stomach and a strong desire for dinner... 
Sushi perhaps?! 

My dreams led me to the Mystical Isle, where I decided to try and swim to find some new mermaid friends... I guess that would be where my hunger kicked in, and where I decided that I was craving sushi. I ended up a little delicious and in my dreamlike state, I found myself feeling like a sushi - and I can really be a sushi by wearing the Ananas from the I am Sushi Set!

Hold On Let Me Overthink This...

 Everyone has different personality traits... It's one of the most amazing parts of what makes us humans, and it's something that I find totally fascinating for the most part - although there are some people I wish could be put into a rocket and sent to outer space sometimes - though when I take a long hard look at myself I know I hate to admit more than one or two of them... I love that I can be silly, I hide my insecurities behind humour and I am both loyal and caring, but my insecurities often outweigh the fun side of me in my own head... I never normally admit it out loud - and definitely not in print - but I have terrible anxiety, self-doubt and I overthink everything and anything... 

I overthink everything, so much... Any important decision will be thought about and re-thought about, and don't even get me to admit the amount of time I ponder things that are triggering my anxiety. I drive myself into a crazy mess, often one that ends up crying and exhausting myself... I do it about all kinds of things, allowing self-doubt to take over and anxiety to ramp up... 
So when I saw this top from Vinyl - at a past round of the Saturday Sale - with the slogan "Hold on let me overthink this", I knew that this top was perfect for me... I've neer seen a top with a more perfect slogan for me LOL... It came to something that I even spent a HUGELY long time overthinking this outfit... Was it good enough, did I look good or was it too weird... It took me a short while but I realised, I LIKE it and I don't care if people dont... I love this look of the day...

Not just for Dinner... Breakfast for Accessories!

The most important meal of the day is Breakfast and everyone should always make time for it... I know that I don't eat it often enough but when I do get to have breakfast I LOVE to go all out. I love bacon, eggs, sausage and toast, even though it's way past breakfast I'm now thinking about breakfast for dinner... Though perhaps, breakfast as accessories would be a good fashion statement too?!

Gimme the Gummies

You know sometimes that they say "Life is sweet"... Right now the only thing that is sweet in life is the bag of candies that I am currently stuffing in my face in an attempt to cheer myself up! Right now, I'm not in a happy mood, I don't feel like being happy and smily and sunshiny, all I feel like is stuffing my face and hiding away... 

Even on a trip to Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, an awesome place to visit in SL, I was more interested in eating the candy than actually exploring... I think my shirt made that totally clear! I wasn't in the tour party for the tour, that's for sure! 
I LOVE GUMMYBEARS, I love those candies with the foam on it even more... I love the delicious candies, and I think I just ran out. I wonder if I have some more... The Gummi Takeout - that I got from Junk Food - and the Gummy Bears - from [NoRush] - on her tongue are making me want candies more than anything! Candies are much easier to get hold of than what I really want right now... I have to remain strong, and snagging myself a bag of candies will definitely make things a little better!

Fish for Lunch?

 Finally done having to go out into the world for the week, I´m done with work and it´s time to just start relaxing... What should I do with my weekend, a hobby of sorts... I'm Hell Bound!

Ready to Fight...

 The whole of the Netherlands has from today gone into a new lock down. It´s something that has been on the cards for a long time, with the partial lockdown having already seen bars and restaurants closed for a while, but today was officially the first day that it's been an official thing. 
Yet, I'm more than a little frustrated because apparently even though our little shop is considered prestige and luxury - and very much non-essential - but as it's food stuff that we sell, we're going to be staying open. I'm not overly happy about this decision, but I have to go and I will be procecting myself as best I can... 

OK, Maybe I'd be doing it a little diffierently to the way Rudh decided to protect herself, but I'm definitely not willing to take any risks and will be doing everything I can to keep myself safe and Covid free.. 
Rudh decided to go maskless but as her protection she's taken a baseball bat and will be exacting some Road Warrior justice. Keeping her hands protected in a pair of gloves that are perfect for the Riot Kidz- created by PSYCHO.Byts. 
Bring on anyone that cannot social distance now, I'm ready for them...

Snowflake kisses on my cheeks...

Oooooh one of the best things about Second Life at this time of year is the snow... I HATE snow in RL because even though it looks pretty I know I'm always scared that I'm going to slip over and hurt myself, but in SL though it's a totally different story. I LOVE being out in the snow, dancing around and watching the flakes fall. Even the darkest little versions of me cannot help but smile as the soft white flakes kiss my skin... 

At Moochie, where 'Tis the Season, while out on a walk in the woods, looking for a quite place to commune with the moon goddess, the little dark being that I am wandered into a clearing and suddenly the snowflakes were kissing her cheeks... The smile was instant, proving that even the creatures of the dark cannot resist this pretty white stuff!

This is NOT a Game of Hide & Seek

 It's the week before Halloween, this time next week we will all be able to trick or treat and get lots of yummy candy... I mean we would if it was something that they did here in Holland, AND that Covid would let us... Still to prepare for this awesome time of year, little Demon Scout Rudh was walking through the halls of her residential dorm asking anyone if they'd like to buy some Demon Scout Candy and rather than getting a treat... She got a very scary Trick... 

Unknown to her, and apparently anyone in the building, there's a crazy man living in room 235... You'd think the hint would have given it away on the wall at the end of the corridor, but NO, anyone can create that kind of graffiti now days! Right?! 
She politely knocked, decked out in her Devil Scout Uniform - from STOIC, which you can see more clearly in the ad which I've added below for the purpose of making it look more clear hehe - and her comfy Dragula Boots - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - carrying a freshly made, Colourful Halloween Candy Board - available for the Saturday Sale from vespertine - and waited until the door was opened... When the man appeared wearing a mask and holding a knife, she thought for a brief moment that he couldn't find his covid face mask, then he advanced and she ran... Crouching down and hiding around the corner, although she wasn't sure it would work... 
The footsteps were approaching, she was getting more scared by the second, and then as the hand touched her shoulder she let out an ear piercing scream, only to be met by the words "AHHHH GOTCHA, HAPPY HALLOWEEN BABYGIRL!" and the laughter of her father...
I'll give him a Happy Halloween indeed!!! 
There's just two more things I want to share with you after my terrifying scare! First of all, the pose is brilliant. Heading out into the Bad Lands in search of Food

The Bad Lands have been open for a couple of weeks now, and there's so much happened... Sorry it has taken me this long to write, but after losing my dinosaur buddy in the initial melee attacks I've been kinda busy defending myself, my home and everything that goes along with it... They call it the Bad Lands for a reason, ya know?! 

I finally managed to get out of the house for a while and head over to Tralala's Diner for something to eat, but I'd only leave the house while carrying my trusty Survivor's Cutlery - from Skellybones at Aenigma until July 15th. My face already bares the scars of the Imatra - a Nefekalum Tattoo - so I protect it behind a Badwolf MadMask and pierce my Orc Ears - which happen to be my favourite new ears released from Haro for Aenigma by the way - with claws of my enemies... 

I really hope the diner has burgers, but how good would the burgers be in the Bad Lands?!

It's a lazy Sunday, not that it's different from any other day at the moment they are all pretty much bleeding into one another... Today though I have plans... I'm going to sit around playing games, eating candies and DRINKING... 

I'm playing some of the weirdest video games, in my laziest of comfy clothes - an awesome top from Vinyl with the best slogan EVER "Be a duck in a flock of flamingoes", and a new release pair of "Rosie Trackies" from MuggleBorn. I grabbed some snacks from Junk Food, who also have the best vodka I've tried in SL, and curled up on my amazingly soft Fluffy Beanbag - from Violetility - and I'm now not to be disturbed lol...

Going on a Road Trip

It's almost the end of the week, not that it makes much difference to me at the moment since the the days are blending into one and the same, BUT it's also the start of Spring Break next week and so that's something that people celebrate... It's time to head to the beach, have a few drinkies and partayyyy... Does anyone wanna go on a roadtrip? 

I packed my bags, loaded my car up and got ready for the road trip... Luckily the poses from Secret Poses that are in a set called RoadTrip, they come with a bright yellow car but the poses can be used separately. I guess the rest of the outfit is a look of the day, I LOVE this miss chelsea shirt and it went so well with other things to make such a cute but grungy outfit!
