Darkness and Magic at the Midnight Order Show

Escaping from reality at the moment seems like a Really good idea, but I'm sure you've picked up on my desire to do that already. I did that yesterday when I had some Ice Cream, and today for some reason I'm feeling a little macabre in a good way... I mean if you've read what I have to say at all by now you'd know that the darker I get, the happier I tend to be, so this is a good sign right?! 
Today I decided to go back to one of my favourite Happy Places... The Carneval... For some reason, killer clowns (SL versions of me ONLY lol) and dark, macabre carni-types make me happy... Let's go play with them shall we?! 

Up on the stage, that has been known to be used for everything ranging from comedy nights to burlesque - a backdrop from Paparazzi by the way - one of the Carnival Freaks has a magician's show to perform... This one may go wrong at any point, hence the leftover body parts, but she's trying, what more can you expect?! 
Least if the magic trick goes wrong, her adorable little Jester Rat - from Tardfish, available until Augusut 31st at The Men's Department - can provide a brilliant distraction for the crowd, whilst the cleaning crew come in to help!!!

Send in the Clowns

You know how you can tell when I have days normally, because my pictures tend to be a little more of the crazy and wild and adventurous. I have had such a productive day today and managed to take so many pictures so that I am prepared and ready whenever the blogging desire takes me... 
Today was a special day, I started putting things on and randomly... BOOM I was lost in a magical world of wonder, chaos and entertainment... Today, somehow I ended up being swept away to the Circus... 

I know it's weird but I always end up thinking of horror when I think of the circus, I guess it's something to do with IT and a dislike of clowns but then again there is another side to the circus that is sparkle and glamour and glitz... The tight-rope walker, the lion tamer, the trapeeze artist and the ringmaster, it's not all creepy clowns and horrible pranks... 
So today I'm in the Big Top - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - trying to decide if I want to go down my usual route of a horror circus with the Circus Rot clown twins, or head to somewhere sparkly for a carnival style celebration...

Here come the Clowns...

I have said before that there are various things I require every Halloween for it to feel like a good Halloween... One of those was spiders, another of those happens to be clowns... I know that some people HATE clows, and I am of the opinion that so long as they aren't the type to lurk on street corners and threaten to kill me I can just ignore them... For me though, the Halloween spookies wouldn't be the same without a trip to see the clowns... 

At the circus of Forgotten Laughs - which happens to be a backdrop by The Bearded Guy - where the clowns are somewhat familiar - mostly because they are some of my favourite toys in my inventory to play with every year - but more than a little creepy looking, they have a new female face this year... 
She's one of the Insane Harlequinn types, dressed in the Natalie - a gorgeous combination outfit that comes from AsteroidBox but sold separately, the top and jacket at Equal10 and the pants at Collabor88 - leather set that is both comfortable and easy clean when she assists the other clowns in their murder spree...

Caught in their Webs!

For Halloween, there are a few things that I ALWAYS find myself looking forward to playing around at dress-up for... Clowns, Monsters and all things dark and depraved... Things that make people shudder, one of the most reoccuring, every year for me, tends to be the Arachnids... I am a Spidy Lady...

I admit I'm not spider fan, I don't like the creepy crawlie feeling as it makes me feel kinda skeevy and shuddery and gross... I will admit that I LOVE Spiders eating the annoying flies that bug me in my home... 
Incy Wincy Spider is a Queen on Halloween... Adorable as pets in Second Life, not so much in Real Life, those can stay away from me...

An Egyptian Goddess, Wadjet!

I woke up this morning feeling too hot and bothered, it was too early to get out of bed but I couldn't bare the thought of just laying there and stewing in my own headachy blahness... It lead to me being weirdly creative... 
It lead to my mind disappearing to a faraway land and a time long ago, and where the magic of the old gods could be felt within the desert sands walls... To a Bright and Magical Luxor Night... 

We know so much of the magic that went along with the stories of the Egyptian Gods but there are some that are more famous than others. Whilst on our trip together today, we have come across the beautiful goddess Wadjet - although this is more like my Monster High kinda version probably - who was revered as a protector of kings of the ower kingdom... She and her cobra head were seen as a symbol of protection and sovereignty, apparently...
Our Monster High styled version of Wadjet, seems a little more disgruntled at yet more statues of the senior gods, where the heck was the new one she'd been promised... She's a Naga Vaelric - a release from BeSpoke that can still be grabbed today at the Vintage Fair but it closes on the 16th so maybe you'll have to head to the mainstore - and she deserves to have EgyptianTales told...

The Future Of Self-Preservation!

Do you ever stop and think about the future? I am not the kinda girl that enjoys any form of Science Fiction, be that in movies or books, but the hubby really loves Star Wars... I think back to pictures of history that we've seen where they say in 2025 we'd be driving flying cars, and Back to the Future had so many gadgets that would be handy but are non-existant... I wonder will humans look different, they already warn about changes caused by technological influences like smart phones... But wouldn't it be better to be something more interesting... 

I'd like to think that we mutate into something a little cooler... Adding some Cyborg parts to make sure the human body runs smoothly, but like I've said they talk about Smart Phone hands and App watching neck with a hump since we spend so long looking down at phones and tablets, but I was hopeing maybe for more eyes or something so that I can see better and don't have to wear glasses any more. I know I could wear contacts but I cannot stick my fingers in my eyes... 
As for protection though, I'd stick with the old school methods... Like they say, if it aint broke, don't fix it...

A "Hotel" Stay!

I know I've been complaining about work a lot lately, but I'm going to do it again because well... I can... If yout don't like it just take a look at my pretty picture today and I'll see you later... Otherwise I've been driven crazy enough by the visitors to my place of work that I'm done with daily life and have finally found the perfect place for a rest... 

I'm tired, mentally and physically - so much so that I can't even think straight enough to write and words like physically are a problem - but there won't be much of a respite. I get Sunday and Monday off but I NEED MORE TIME TO REST!!! I'm checking myself into an old boutique "hotel" I've discovered, it's called the "Asylum for Criminally Insane Women"... I don't think I've done anything criminal, but perhaps if you could see the things I think about certain customers, maybe you'd disagree... Plus I've heard they have excellent padding to keep rooms nice and cosy, and damped the sound of aggrivated screams...

Toxic Monsters

Are you one of those people that can flit through life without any care or concerns, trying to keep yourself smiling and without problems? Are you one of those people that seems to find yourself stuck in a rut, facing difficulties and wanting the world to stop? Do you live for drama and toxicity or are you happier when you can be left alone to enjoy some peace? I know that everyone is different and everyone has their own way of handling things, for me personally I'm an over-thinker, I have terrible anxiety and worry constantly about letting people down. It's a toxic, viscious cycle sometimes, and it's one that I'm trying hard to break free from... 

I am one of those people that over-thinks, over worries, and gets anxious about a lot of things, though perhaps unless you knew me really well you'd NEVER know that... I'm definitely not the only one with these feelings, they seem to becoming more and more predominant these days, but we all seem to have to our own ways of dealing with these emotions. I'm one of those people that aims to distract myself by reading or taking pictures in Second Life to make things become less focused on the bad, toxic feelings... Sometimes though my mood will guide my creativity... Today things are a little bit of a toxic monster...

The Crazy Circus

I got through most of Halloween this year with very few clowns and although my Sammy Winchester hates them, there seems to be so many in my mind - and surrounding me in RL for that matter - so today when I'm having my mind off work and onto crazy boring things but as my mind was racing I ended up being surrounded by the clowns in my own personal crazy circus... 

The Crazy Circus is pouring straight out of my overly tired mind today, it's like someone has peeled back my scalp and the monster within is the ringmaster in my own personal crazy place... The clock is ticking until we can use that brilliant phrase once uttered by someone a little bit beetlejuicy - and a reason that I'm looking a little rotten tonight whilst still wearing my amazing new Suddenly Cardigan from my newest sponsor Garmonbozia at the current round of FaMESHed - for now I'm checking on the Unicorn Balloon Skele - the October group gift from Aardvark - in her cage and getting more than a little frustrated that one of those crazy idiot clowns left the gate open and released the Chained Up Buns - a new release from Tardfish for this month's Anthem... Medicines against the Nightmares

I am tired, exhausted almost and no one seems, including myself, seems to be able to do anything about it... I've hada draining few weeks, since Easter, and even though things are slowly beginning to calm down at work and in my home life too, there are still plenty of things that I cannot seem to get myself through... It's like I'm being taunted and followed around by my nightmares that I can't make go away or even reduce in size... 
I need a break, I need somewhere quiet and failing the chance that I'm going to be able to go on holiday any time soon, I might have to take slightly more extreme measures... 

I have so many nightmare monsters - which are in fact Eerie Shadow Monsters from Aardvark, available now at Enchantment - following me around, floating through the corridors of my mind and they seem to come and go depending on where my mind and what is focusing on at any time... I've got nightmares that are work related some bad and another sad, I've got a nightmare of losing a friend since I heard about his health issues, my PC is giving me grief and I'm a little jealous that my sister is able to be at home visiting my parents... These nightmares swirl around me, I just want something to stop my brain from being active... I might have to find my own way to take a break, maybe a stay in a hospital where they give you a jacket that's a hug in a piece of clothing... This place seems nice, the Botox Bots - from Tardfish at Equal10 - fly around each patient as a little nurse to ensure the calming drugs are administered correctly, whilst they keep the monsters at bay...

Do Elephants Like Peanuts?

When I was a kid, I never got to go to the Circus, at least not the traditional kind. My mum was always a little against what they put the animals through, and the way that they were made to do things that were not true to their nature. She has never been a fan of zoos either, but circuses that had animals participating were particular no-gos... That doesn't mean the thought of the circus never inspired me, and there was one time I randomly caught sight of an Elephant in our local park when the circus was in town... 
I've always loved Elephants... They always seem super intelligent and their eyes tell so many stories... 

When I saw the elephant in the park outside the the circus tent, I couldn't actually believe that the elephant was standing there where the dogs were usually around to run around and play... 
Watching TV earlier I sat munching on some peanuts and for some reason I got to thinking about the circus elephant and how elephants seem to like nute. Is that a real thing ro did I just pick that up and believe it because it happened in Dumbo? I had to find out... I went to a local circus in SL and bought myself some nuts from the peanut vendor - actually a weekend sale release from Junk Food - then tentatively heading towards the circus elephants, they seemed to sense what I had to offer...

A Test Subject on the loose...

October 2nd, the second day of the spooky season, and the second day in my 31 days of Halloween dress up... It may not be all dark and scary monsters, and it may not all be creepy but these days anything goes as a costume and I LOVE having a chance to play dress up! 
For day 2, I somehow found myself facing a fear of my hubby HellBone, Needles... A staple of the scary things that haunt the darkness, it seems the nightmares take place in the mental hospitals where the nurses abuse and blood is more common than water... 
Right now, it's time for your injection... Drop your pants and on your knees... 

One of the patients is on the loose in the abandoned Emergency Corridors - a backdrop from TROPIX - and she's crazed after receiving the wrong dosage of medication. She's managed to steal a super dose, the kind that has been stored incase someone like the Incredible Hullk was to ever become a patient, and is carrying the Syringe - an older but still awesome release from Katat0nik - over her shoulder like a weapon... It's not her fault, she's been a Test Subject - thanks to the hospital robe and needles from Mug - she's been a pin cushion for the testing of the dark minds of the demonic nursing staff...

Potty Break for the Balloon Puppies

The circus has rolled into town once again and now that the tent has been set up, the animals have been safely stowed into their outdoor homes and the backstage area with the costumes and lights have been prepared for when the show begins... 
Rudh had just one more task to do before she can get ready for the show... Rudh has to take the doggies out for a little potty break... 

Since the circus is a magical place, you might have realised that Rudh's pets are more than a little magical... These Balloon Dogs - from Boutique #187 - were made by a clown one day and somehow they came to life. So now before the circus starts, they need to be taken for walkies so they can drop a few balloons... 
There's only one problem, just before the walkies were needed... Rudh got herself dressed in costume. Trying hard not to step in the balloons, in her amazing performance shoes - the TakenByTheSky from 1313 Mockingbird Lane, available until the end of today at Inithium - suddenly deciding that she needed to pee, she slipped from the panties of her costume and hid in the long grass, not realising that one of the creepy clowns was perving from behind a trailer! Naughty little clown!!

A Little Ray of Pitch Black

Halloween is now officially over and that means that for many people, the spookies will be stashed away in closets until next year... It's not going to be the case for me, I love the spookies, but then many people might say I've always been a little weird lol... I like it that way!!
I might not be dressing up in full on costumes at the moment, but I'm liking letting my dark little dead doll side out to play... 

I'd been playing in other ways too though this month, and was super excited that this Halloween saw the return of the ever brilliant Pulse Games, with their Cutting Class Game!!! The best Halloween event, aside from the Dark Adventures because I'm biased about that one, by far this month!!
While on the hunt through the game, the little dead doll I am had to find herself in an adorable outfit... I guess you might call this a look-of-the-day, and technically as we're talking about Pulse Games we can focus on the adorable Sn@tch Wrong Crop tops, which come in a set and have both cute Halloween and non-Halloweeny slogans on - these are available until the end of today at Trick or Treat Lane! Spiders in the Dark

There are so many phobias in the world, but there are some that are worse than others... So many people are deathly afraid of spiders, personally I'm not afraid of them - though I will admit that I'm not keen on them too - there's just something about the creepy crawlie, that unlike any other bug it makes people feel scared. 
Of course, it wouldn't be Halloween without the odd spider or two - people say the same about Aliens and OK I accept it and avoid them - but for me there's always going to be a spider at Halloween... 

Spiders seem to like the dark, spooky places, so it's no wonder that Halloween is full of them... Their webs will sparkle in the dark and brush softly against your skin to make you jump... 
This year, when our little Spider Maiden crawls out of the darkness she has plans to show off her super soft dress based on a model by the famous "Charlotte" - a dress from Salem - while she shows off some new Arachnae Horns and Legs - an amazing set of things that you can find from October 22nd at Spookzilla in the Boutique #187 prizes!

Demons love a good Chassis Augmentation

Anyone who knows me, or has read anything or even has heard of me may well know that I am, and have been or the longest time, a Secretary for the Gators MC in SL, and have been married to HellBone who is a RL Biker for many years. So I guess I have a somewhat pressure built affinity for a good motorcycle. I notice them more in the street, and love the sweeping lines of the bikes that my hubby makes in SL... 
So for some reason today, the demon in me had been playing in the garage, and suddenly she spotted something red and shiny... This demon is a motor head, drinking toxic waste and getting her kicks with the big rumbling machines... 

The toxic waste in the corner of the garage was delicious for her demonic tastebuds... Recharging her inner core, giving her a little Chassis Augmentation - thanks to the amazing new body piece released by FIKA at the new Mainframe event - the inner workings glowing as they charge. 
She approaches the new bike that's been parked by it's handsome rider, it's a shiny red Red Bob Chopper - from Hogs & Cart Wheels that will be available soon at the new round of Necrosis - she cannot help herself but take a seat on the seat of her bike, enjoying the feeling of the rumbling of the machine as it calms down...

Magic of the Hallows Horror Carnivale

 I LOVE this time of year... The Halloween season lets everyone dress in all kinds of weird and wonderfuls, and if you know me at all then you will know that any excuse to dress up, but there are so many different options I'm trying to get through 31 costumes for the 31 days of Halloween!! 
Today I've decided to cast a few little spells, whip up a little magic something special for a horror carnival... 

I'm having a magical moment now that the Gacha Guild's Hallows Horror Carnival has opened and the magical carni goodies within... Whipping up the magic into a frenzy... Protector of the Dragon Eggs

Taking a break from flowers today and decided instead that it was time to do something a little bit random. Something a little lost in fantasy, something lost in the middle of the deepest forbidden desert landscape... You have to be careful when crossing the sands... You never know who you might run into...

There's a mythical being hiding in the desert, guarding the last of the dragons eggs that have laid in wait until they are ready to hatch. She guards the newly hatched Wyvern Spawn - a release from Inner Demons at Engine Room - as her headless form casts crazy shadows thanks to her amazingly interesting Aetheric Navigator - from FIKA - but you had better not go near the last remaining Dragon Eggs. That glowing orb in her hand is the most dangerous weapon, and she's got a damn near accurate aim!!!

Walking Down the Row

I've been watching TV a lot while we've been stuck on lock-down and one of the shows that I really loved was the Orlando Bloom/Cara Delevigne fantasy series "Carnival Row". I love the mixture of fairytale, steampunk and mystery. 
I was shopping at Engine Room... It seemed to draw my mind into all kinds of different fantasy situations, many of which involved me wandering down the 'row'... I'm a Doctor, I'm on a mission, and I'm trying to figure out who is behind the murders taking place... 

Following in the footsteps of my father - more than anything because my Dad, Chopper, bought me this amazing outfit from tokisk at Engine Room - as I wandered though the Time Portal that is Victorian London. Decked out with some other Doctors accessories, the coroner wanders through the darkened streets hiding under her parasol to avoid the ashes that pour out onto the streets from the smoking train above.

Haunted By Humans

I'm really feeling like I'm getting back into my old, darkness loving self at the moment. I know that the pretty spring me will be back out to play before long, but while I can I'm going to embrace the darker side. I LOVE being a little dark and demonic, and although it may seem weird, that's actually when I'm happiest LOL. 
Right now, the little demoness in me is hiding away in self-isolation, a dark figure lurking inside the ruins of a local church, hiding from the haunting sightings of humans on the streets that flout the rules of quarantine! 

Dressing for my little demoness moods always makes me feel happy - in fact I've said this before but 9 times out of 10, the darker my look is, the happier I am! 
Today though I was inspired by this AMAZING "Grayas Tongue" release from PSYCHO.Byts - available until May 8th at ACCESS - it's gorgeous, and creepy, and strange all at once, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Demon me always has varying shades of eye colour - mostly the Izzie's Demon eyes if you're interested - but today with my eyes turned blind, I was lead by the eye on my tongue and my epic Peeker Earrings - an older but still awesome release from the combined minds of Contraption and CerberusXing. 
Still, she will remain hidden, haunted by humans as she clearly states on her shirt - which is actually part of the outfit with the wings from the Post-Human Gacha Collection by Antinatural! - the statement couldn't be more fitting right now!
