Dino Nuggets Take Me Back!

I had to make dinner, I hate making dinner just for myself as I always feel like I cannot be bothered. There are a few staples that I always keep in the freezer just on the off-chance; fish fingers, pizza, french fries... The usual, horrible, frozen fast food, but very occasionally on the very odd occasion, I have some chicken nuggets...
Though tonight I sought something quick and easy, and hit the jackpot... DINO NUGGETS!!! I couldn't believe my luck, I hadn't had them since I was a kid... They seemed to magically take me back in time... 

I ended up feeling like I was passing through time so much that I was transported through time to a land where the dinosaurs weren't only on my plate... At first I had a bit of a shock, thinking I'd been transported so far back in time, the Dinosaurs still ruled the world, but upon further inspection it was just to another memory from my childhood and the land of Jurassic Park... 
Now as I was looking around I noticed that I wasn't the only one looking to indulge in my plate of delicious Junk Food - the Dino Nuggets are a Junk Food release - I think I got company... I wonder if the new dinosaur buddy of mine, will realize I'm actually NOT a dinosaur, how long do you think I can hide in my Home-Made Dino hat - from Ananas?!

New Burgers at the Diner!

Dinner Time... You know I really have to stop thinking about blogging while I'm really thinking about my tummy and what I want to put in it. There are so many things in my fridge in SL, but in my RL fridge I can't think of what I want to eat. I HATE cooking for just me, if it was up to me I'd just skip things. I wish I could just pop out and head to a diner or something, where there are people and delicious food... Maybe a burger and some fries... OOOOH and maybe a shake... 

I just heard that the new local diner has the best burgers in town... I know that it's Junk Food but there are so many delicious things on the menu in the diner, and I hear they have just brought out a brand new range or two of some amazing sliders... They come in Rainbow colours on a pretty white platter, and the extraordinary Smoke Sliders, which are jet black!!! 
I'll have a taste, I'm particularly excited by the Smoke Sliders... I'll let you know...

Adventures in the Pages of a Book

I've been saying for the past couple of days that I want to go on an adventure... I want to explore, and discover new things, but - and this is a rather important, big butt - as yet I'm being far too lazy in actually starting on my adventures. 
The biggest adventures I'm having at the moment is when I curl up in my comfy arm chair and let myself get lost in a book, preferably with a blanket and a cup of tea, if I'm really lucky... 

Getting lost in a book has always been one of my favourite past times, I love being able to lose myself in a world away from reality. Finding SL was a way to escape the reality, but even here sometimes I feel there is a need to escape! 
So I'm curled up with a book and watching the magic of the pages drag me away into another fantasy... The magical sparkles right from the page, and the monsters and fairies and dragons are here to guide me... 
Nothing is better than a day in your PJs, than a day in your PJs with a blankie, a cup of tea and a good book!!

Leaving Home to Explore

HALLOWEEN is coming... Unless you're hiding under a very large rock I'm sure that you may have realised this fact,  but I cant help being more than a little excited by it. Décor is springing up everywhere and I'm trying to remain calm in my dark, macabre little boots... 
She can't wait to leave the house everyday looking for something Halloweeny to do!

In hindsight I realise she looks like she's trick or treating but no she's just going out for the day LOL the tricks and treats come later! 
Today she's playing the murderer, and I really hope she's not gonna get caught up in any plot because well, she's wearing quite an ominous tag LOL... The murderer top comes with an assassin version too, as well as the blade she has in her mouth, and you too can join in the murdering fun by grabbing the Murder Kit from PaperDolls at The Dark Style Fair! To add just a little more bloody murderer effect to the look I threw on a Bloody Razor Blade as a Choker - from Kibitz - and grabbed a butchers knife that I had just laying around from a store called Phi - which is available in a gacha collection of murder weapons, such fun! - before walking out the door!
Petting my Frankenstein Kitty and my Ghost Dog, I headed out to find something interesting and Halloweeny, there's so much going on I'm spoilt for choice!

A BVN Secret Santa Gift for Lanna Greenhoo

As someone who tries to be a part of the active SL Blogger community, I've always enjoyed being within the many blogger groups that allow members to work together, sharing ideas and tricks, and although I'm not someone well known or widely followed, blogging for me is a passion, a release and a chance to clear my head at times. Even on the worst day, I can sit down and write some random ramblings and allow my brain a chance to mellow out, and that for me is important. 
So this year I saw that the Blogger & Vlogger Network of SL, were hosting a Secret Santa, of sorts, I knew I had to apply... I waited patiently to see who would be my Santa, and more importantly who I would get in return so that as a gift I could find a way to give them a little promotion, and perhaps a bit of a smile too... 
Today, I am able to share with you the details of my Santa Giftee... Today, this post is for you, Lanna Greenhoo... 
How to start though... I guess, by doing what anyone would... Time for a little look at Lanna and her blog... 

Lanna's blog - It's Me Lanna - is so professional that it's something definitely fit for the fashion world. Unlike my messy ramblings and journal style, Lanna has everything clear, concise and well organised. It's no wonder that she has a great collection of sponsors and event coverage under her fashionable belt. Each of her posts includes a list with URLs for locations to get things, and what's really awesome about these lists is that they clearly show who  made each item, as well as names and locations of events where they are available. 
Yet I think that my favourite thing about Lanna's blog, has to be her pictures - which makes sense since they are the most important part of any blog to draw the eye and catch the attention. Her pictures that seem to be where we have a few things in common... 
Lanna - like myself - seems to be fairly eclectic in her style with pictures ranging from girlie prettiness to magically dark with everything in between for good measure. She has a varied taste it seems, and it is clear that she loves to play around with her looks, so that the end result of each picture is a beautiful little work of art. 
I know it's a little cheeky, and I hope she won't be mad at me but I compiled a few of her creations into a little collage just to give everyone out there a taste of Lanna's creativity... 

Though I thoroughly recommend taking some time to look at both her blog - It's Me Lanna - and her Flickr Stream - Lanna Greenhoo - to see for yourself. The pictures are MUCH MUCH MUCH better on a bigger screen than they appear in these little boxes, meant for intrigue!

Picnics with Cuties

Today I'm going to my happy place, a place where no one will bug me and people can leave me a message at the gate because well I'm kinda done bending over backwards to help people out when they so easily throw you under the bus... End of rant, but that's why today I'm going candy coloured, surrounded by adorably cute fluffy things!!! 
I know that Autumn is upon us, but I love the fact that in SL no matter what the temperature is outside you can be pretending it's a totally different season... Today for me it's Spring, and I'm going on a picnic!!

I'm not going alone on this picnic, that might make me a little sad... I'm taking some of my adorable new friends with me...
The other day I let some of my Half-Deer Bunnies join me in a picture and today I'm doing the same, they are coming on my picnic. These are SUCH a cute collection, too adorable, and as soon as I saw the little broccoli bunny I needed him, the rest were just added bonuses hehe... Horror Movie Nights

Is it weird that right now I am already beginning to get excited that Halloween is coming... It's still a month to go but I'm so excited that from this point on I will be getting my butt into gear and starting to get myself into the Holiday Spirit. 
Starting with some horror movies! I'm not very good with Horror Movies, I tend to over think and it get's into my head and makes it seem worse than the movies may well do for other people. HellBone is a horror movie fanatic and he knows them all like the back of his hand... Me, I tend to hide behind the cushions and only look out when I know that the bad things have passed. 
Yet today, on my lazy Sunday I am going to be brave, curl up in my tree house and watch "Last Arcade"! 

My Slumber Party style set up is a brand new Gacha release from one of my favourite stores... Lost Junction. Many of the props that you see here - such as the sleeping bag, pillows, videos and pizza - are available in the Slumber Party Gacha Machine at the latest round of The Arcade. The chips are also available in this event, but to get them you need to play the Chipsters Gacha Machine - different machine filled by the same creator! Yet my favourite item in this bumper release has to be the TVs... These are the machines rares, but they are so worth trying to get your hands on. Each TV - and there are three versions Horror, Kawaii and Sci-Fi - comes complete with 6 different viewing options including 4 hand drawn artworks by Lost Junction's Designer - Tala Laval! As always I get excited by things that are available at The Arcade, but these TVs are definitely one of my favourite items from the event this round! They clearly show that a lot of thought, time and effort have gone into making them! .
While on the subject of The Arcade, another designer really caught my attention this round too - Intrigue Co, has always made some adorable plushies but the Frightful Friends Gacha Items were things I couldn't leave behind...
Right now I just hope no one appears to scare the beejezus out of me...

Today is my 10th Rezday!

It's here... It's finally here... A VERY important day in the life of Rudhmellowen Laguna, and also the RL Emily behind the avatar... 
TODAY IS MY 10th REZDAY!!! 
Yes, you read that right, I've spent 10 years in SL riding the changes that SL, along with both my RL and SL selves, have been pulled through... 

Looking back I wouldn't change a single thing!!! 
I started in SL 3 years after it was created - I know that there are older people out there, but I think 10 still entitles me to be referred to as a SecondLife Dinosaur. I was here pre-Mesh, pre-Sculptie, and even pre-Flexi... When I first logged Rudh in world her hair was like a large plastic looking lump stuck to her head! My first hair purchase was something that looked akin to a floppy spider - but hey back then it looked AWESOME!
Now days, I look just a little different - having two distinct sides to my fashion personality, the rebel biker chick with just a touch of kinky goth and the crazy rainbow cuteness with a touch of pretty and a sprinkling of madness! 

It's been 10 years of adventures... I've done so many things that I'd never thought possible... I learnt new skills - I'm a dab hand at photoshopping things now - and even found myself a RL job working in the SL world! I've been a Fairy and a Vampire, a Witch and now a Zombie - least that's the Living Dead Girl style I try to portray - however it seems I'm more biker chick than anything else since I stepped into the role of Gators MC Secretary. I've been a friend, a sister and a mother - and although people come and go, fights and fall outs have been numerous over the 10 years, each of you have made me stronger and built me to the person that I am today.  A journey that started out with dragons as friends lead me to knowing people that I cannot be without - my bestieface, my brothers and sisters and even my hubby all came into my life because of this "game". 
So when I look back over the 10 years, and people tell me that I have been wasting my time - it's been known to happen in RL on the odd occasion as I am sure some of you will be able to attest to - I sit back and smile... There is no where else I'd rather have spent the last 10 years. This rollercoaster of a SecondLife has been an epic journey, but one that I am so glad I stepped into - and to think when I started I wasn't sure I'd make it till the end of the month LOL...

Merry Christmas from the Barbosa-Laguna Family

This time next week it's Christmas Eve... The most festive few days of the year are finally upon us and so I like a million other people out there am wrapping presents, decorating and sending Christmas Cards... SL is no exception to that, I've had to fight them a little bit but I finally managed to get my boys to come and pose in the Barbosa-Laguna Holiday Card... 

Aren't they cute? Father and Son in matching-ish Ugly Xmas sweaters - from [high.v], which I cannot find a store location for but will endeavour to do so, so that I can update here - and Christmas hats that I had to force them into! Luckily they are both HUGE Star Wars fans, so it wasn't hard to use the force LOL...  Whilst I, being the glamorous one of the three went all out, dressing myself in a romper suit from M.BIRDIEstory and reindeer-ish accessories! 
We took a walk in the woods for our family photo this year, to build a snowman! I even went so far as to help them build it by bringing a Snowman Building Kit from Sway's! Such a good Mum and Wife I am right! 
Anyway, it won't be the last time you hear from me before Christmas, but I just wanted to say, from my family to yours have a lovely holiday season and I hope that everything is Merry and Bright!!

Through the Stars, Carried by the Books...

The Royal Visit is over... HellBone will be dropping my mother off at the airport today, and although it was a fairly unplanned event it has been such a lovely few days - busy but lovely - yet now I am SO worn out that I could use a holiday LOL...
Maybe I will just spend the weekend drifiting off into dreamland, oooh perhaps with a good book?! Or maybe I will let dreamland be some crazy photo session in SL?! Who knows? Right now all I can say is that damn I am TIRED!!! I love having family visit from the UK, but seriously it wears a girl out!!!
Maybe if I just close my eyes right now, I can drift off into dreamland...

Ah well that didn't take long to accomplish did it? LOL... Dreamland was closer than I realised all I needed to do was grab the strings of the flying books and head to the stars... Flying books are SO the perfect way to travel! If you haven't tried it, you really should!! Quiet, with a story thrown in for good measure! While we are on the subject of Collabor88 though, it seems that a lot of this dreamland journey passes through what we should refer to as a Collabor88 phase!
As I was pulled through the keke and Half-Deer stars, my Dreamy Dress - from Pixicat - became cosmic, I had to point my toes to avoid my Reign slippers from slipping of my feet. Hearing a noise in the stars beside me, my gaze fell upon a rather strange looking cloud... Did that cloud just blink at me?! Strange how much it looks like a kitten, a little MishMish Cloudie kitten!
I must be having a moment, perhaps I should stop drinking coffee or maybe there was something in the dinner last night that didn't agree with me, or maybe it was the strange and ephemeral glow of the new jewel that was crafted by the wizard of jewellery that is Maxi Gossamer. I wonder what kind of spells it contains?
Can you tell that I'm tired, my mind wanders off into it's own little fantasies... My sparkly imageination takes over and I'm off to another world... I wonder where I will land?!

Missed a damn good Romp...

I am supposed to be working, but have absolutely no interest in doing anything remotely work related... I just want to curl up and read a book, preferably tucked up in a warm blanket... It's cold for May... It should be getting warmer, not wintry again!
However, I've been such a good girl lately that for once I feel like doing something a little less PG and a little more kinky... So maybe the book would have to wait?! It's time to be a little naughty... What a collection of toys I have to chose from LOL...

Toys sound much more fun YAY... Some of these toys look like things I want to get my hands on in RL, not gonna tell you which but I'll leave you guessing... Problem is, I haven't played with at least one of them in SO LONG that the event which it was featured in has now closed... STILL you can get this special toy at the main store, you know you want to LOL... I'm talking about the Naughty Love Paddle from yumyums, the paddle is available in a few different colours and there is also a tattoo you can wear to make it look like the heart has been spanked into your skin... All of the other toys were things I had buried in my hoard... I couldn't choose a favourite, and I won't be telling you which of any I use but a girl's gotta have a toy collection lol, this is my SL one hehe... 
The outfit is made up of old and new things too... I love my shorts, but the BAT lingerie set that I am wearing with it is a release from Static for this round of Suicide Dollz. They seemed to fit perfectly together with my awesome new ankle boots from Riske - I bought these a while back at the Dark Style Fair but they got lost in my hoard until now LOL... I really need to clean that up!

Follow the Wooden Stump Road...

The Arcade - unless you have been completely oblivious and have no idea what I am talking about, you may have noticed - is well underway... Up and running for the entire month of March... As always, it seems pretty brilliant and an understandable reason why people get so excited about it each and every time! It's like a feeding frenzy in a shark tank! It could have been handy for people looking to get interesting birthday gifts for me too - just sayin' lol - if I hadn't already been in and raided the place myself!
I LOVED collecting things for my little play house... This place takes me away to somewhere peaceful, somewhere fun and somewhere that I can just escape to play! So while I was setting out my new toys, I had a feeling that made me giggle, it was something akin to Dorothy's feelings as she arrived in Oz... I spend most of my time surrounded by bikers, this was a bit of "you're setting out cute toys, this seems totally opposite to normal" moment LOL...

As you can see though the entrance to my garden follows a wooden stump path - thanks to Alchemy by the way - that directs you towards my toy house! My garden has now been decorated with some awesome Lego style plastic looking flowers too. I know these aren't to everyone's taste but I couldn't resist the [tea.s] Block-ee Flowers. The inhabitants of this adorable place are plushie animals! They float in the breeze attached to balloons - such as the Fly Away Bear from Boogers - and are Petal Pals to the flowers - available from Intrigue Co at The Arcade - each smiling and giving a warm welcome to anyone who visits! 
Whilst on my trip to this strange land, something rather weird happened to my dog! What started out as a perfectly normal looking Weenie Dog - bought just a few days ago from the SilentSparrow Pet Store, found at The Arcade - in our travel to this new found land he somehow became a Weenie Weenie Dog!
On my feet were a Rudhish style pair of "Ruby Slippers" - they'd be better described as Tropicano Heels in a bright magenta colour - from Bens Beauty, now off to skip down the wooden stump road!

So to the rest of my awesome "Not Kansas Anymore" outfit... Some of it is new, some old but I think the combination is just the right amount of kookie!
The dress I am wearing is one of the older things, but it's been stored neatly away until I can find it for a moment like this. It's a Somnia release called City Scape - in a Day pattern, there is also a Night version to match, and it comes with cloudy leggings.
Then I went to town with my accessories... The horns on my head were made of Pinkberry Ice Cream - that are available from Riske at the Luck of the Irish Gacha Fair - my lips are slicked with green lipstick and dusted with sprinkles, I knew I shouldn´t have made out with that donut -  but thanks to Babysteps for letting cover their Skin Fair Release, the Baby Butter Lips! There is yet MORE yummies in the form of my (Yummy) Spec-tacular Edible Specs...
The only other thing that I took with me is a basket that I found when I landed, you never know when things like that might come in useful... You see it did with me, I found two Wonderland Pixicat Kittens that needed my help, I couldn't have taken them with me without the basket...

Move over Lady Gaga

There's a new crazy fashionista in town LOL...
The day after the craziness that was SL's Black Friday Sales Fever, I realised I had better take a few minutes to look at the stuff that I had actually bought. Surprisingly it wasn't as much as I had thought, but I was pleased with my purchases hehe...
There was however, one dress that jumped out at me MUCH more than I had actually thought it might. I mean I loved the dress when I tried it on, but I never would have thought that I'd be so wowed by something without the word DEMO stamped all over it hehe...
I knew I needed to make pictures with it on, that's always my first thought when I love something I wear LOL, but after trying to down play the fixtures and fittings to make the outfit complete I KNEW that wasn't going to work... Hence, MOVE OVER LADY GAGA!!!

I am not ashamed to admit that I am absolutely, 100%, in love with this photo! It's possibly one of my favourites of the year so far hehe...
The dress that inspired it was one that I had been lusting after for a while. Called Ligeia Devil's Offspring, from the store Dead Dollz, I had spotted this one whilst hunting for Bridesmaid Dresses to wear for a friend's wedding on Friday! I LOVE the simplicity of the bodice with this amazing ruffled skirt, and the bright red colour just drew me like a moth to a flame... But I am hoping now that you can see why I NEEDED to go a little crazy with the accessorising hehe... The Dress has a wow factor and dressing it down wouldn't have done it justice!
So I went a little crazy hehe... I found this amazing, old-school, but still awesome hair from the store Griddie and I think the lime colour just adds a bit of a crazy psychedelic feel to the completed look... To accessorise I also dug into my hoard hehe... I found these brilliant Intrigue Co Red Damask Glasses, to give me a touch of that slightly bonkers celebrity feel, and just as I thought I was done I stumbled upon the epaulettes! These are bloody brilliant, I cannot quite believe that I had forgotten I had them! BOOM made these Erinyes Wings a while ago now, I cannot tell you how long ago or even if they are still available, and I loved the red with a flash of green in the dragon coloured pair.
Once I had the outfit I wanted an equally brilliant looking backdrop... If you haven't been to NekoZone Central East, it's like a vibrant futuristic cityscape... The perfect backdrop for modern, and futuristic pictures!!!

My Inner Feelings...

Something is stirring in secondlife, there is the sound of yet another stampede of shoppers and this time it's not a sale but an event they are all charging for...
Today sees the start of a new round of The Arcade - yep, it's been three months since the last one, crazy I know - but already people have been browsing the shopping guide, making a list if they are anything like me, and are in their running shoes as the doors open for another month of gambling LOL...
Though I know, for myself more than anyone, that the Arcade can make me go a little crazy... I spend more than I ever normally would, I develop a greedy need for things that normally I might not waste my time on, and I drive myself half mad needing complete collections - many of which are likely to stay in my hoard hehe...

So when I first unpacked the Arcade item, sent to bloggers, from Rachel Breaker, I had two instant reactions... First, Oh my God it's kinda ugly! Second was well that really does sum up the inner crazies I have when it comes to the Arcade lol...
This seemed to be the case especially after Jimmy suggested the mask would go well with a straight jacket, and I found this awesome Belted Fetish Jacket from Sugar.
So the crazy unicorn me was partly ready, there was a need to find a location - and though the Arcade Merry-Go-Round would have been perfect - I decided to find a different circus! If you haven't seen the 109 Prim Circus, then you should check it out... It's small but VERY pretty and more than a little fantasy in it's style! It was at that moment that the crazy in me decided it was time to enjoy the circus feeling just a little bit more, the unicorn eating it's favourite meal of Cotton Candy - supplied by MishMish - riding out on a noble Intrigue Co Carousel Attachment Steed, could it get much crazier than that?!
Bring on The Arcade now, that's all I can say... I'm ready to go crazy... I'm already there!!
