Darkness and Magic at the Midnight Order Show

Escaping from reality at the moment seems like a Really good idea, but I'm sure you've picked up on my desire to do that already. I did that yesterday when I had some Ice Cream, and today for some reason I'm feeling a little macabre in a good way... I mean if you've read what I have to say at all by now you'd know that the darker I get, the happier I tend to be, so this is a good sign right?! 
Today I decided to go back to one of my favourite Happy Places... The Carneval... For some reason, killer clowns (SL versions of me ONLY lol) and dark, macabre carni-types make me happy... Let's go play with them shall we?! 

Up on the stage, that has been known to be used for everything ranging from comedy nights to burlesque - a backdrop from Paparazzi by the way - one of the Carnival Freaks has a magician's show to perform... This one may go wrong at any point, hence the leftover body parts, but she's trying, what more can you expect?! 
Least if the magic trick goes wrong, her adorable little Jester Rat - from Tardfish, available until Augusut 31st at The Men's Department - can provide a brilliant distraction for the crowd, whilst the cleaning crew come in to help!!!

Prepping the Bad Magic before Valentine's

Ahhh Wednesday, thank fuck you're finally done for me and I have the day off tomorrow... I NEED to have some time to relax, although with the building preparations and having to pack umore stuff I think I have a lot more to do than I might have anticipated LOL.... 
For tonight I'm going to kick back and work a little magic... The month of the hearts and flowers and romance is alomost upon us and for the next couple of weeks everything will no doubt be full of Valentine's sweetness... I'm not a Valentine fan, can't it be Halloween again?! Perhaps I need to find a way... 

Now if there is one thing I do know is that Monster Smut is often a good way to enjoy the romance and seduction without things being too sickly sweet... Since starting my reading journey I've discovered a LOT of new things that are somewhat intriguing... 
I've decided to let the bood thirsty monster out of myself, I'm going to let her let her hair down and plan her Valentine season... No mush, no sickly sweet, not even a card, just dark Valentine funsies... The Free Red Light Library!

I was supposed to have the day off today, but being the Ass Man at work, that wasn't able to happen. It meant I had to leave and head into the city, and face the most disgusting Amsterdam that happens all year... It's horrible and I'd hate to be a tourist expecting a beautiful city on the day after King's Day... 
I seemed to spend a lot of time waiting, and it got my mind wandering... I was scrolling through the internet and wishing I lived in a place where I could have a free library with my neighbours... It led to my mind going off in a different directions... 

I was wondering about these free libraries, but rather than a neighbourhood library and books, I was wondering how things would go with a free "library" in the Red Light District... Perhaps they'd repurpose an old phone box, to become a London Style Shelf - like the one that was released by Boutique #187 for Man Cave - and they might have the odd toy to play with but I'm sure the hookers would LOVE some steamy reading to enjoy while they wait for their next client...

My Own Roaring 1920s!

Sometimes I do a little random. Sometimes I do things that get lost of the realms of high fantasy. Sometimes I do things that are a litte more grounded in realism, although those things my be based on stories of their own too... No matter what I do it's always done with love and happiness and it makes me smile to do whatever I feel like... Today I went with a story from someone else's mind, and an event theme that was a little outside my usual ball park... 

Normally I feel more like I should avoid anything Art Deco, but when the Anthem line-up was announced to be Great Gatesby themed ca me intrigued. I more often than not vere towards designs that are more Art Nouveau, than Art Deco - they are easy to tell apart Art Nouveau looks like it's been made by the elves, Art Deco is more harsh lines and bold prints and looks more like it's been made by the dwarves - but this was interesting, and even though I'm not really a Great Gatesby fan, I kinda liked what I did!!! 
Come take a trip with me to the Voyeur Rooms - the keychain is older but still awesome from Krescendo - and grab yourself a glass of Champagne - from Junk Food - at the 1920's fanciest hotel...

Home to the Laundry!

I'M BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK... Didyamissme? I'm not sure many people will have, or did or do, but I'm happy to be home although I'd much rather not be thinking about going back to work next week... Work is such a rude word, and I admit I love my job but would prefer it if there were a lot less people... 
I'm back home though, and I'm ready to rock and roll once more. It was a lovely trip, some family issues aside, and even though I'm ready to run home at a moment's notice right now, I'm glad to allow things to get back to normal... 

One of the biggest problems with going away on vacation is that you always have so much to do when you get back, and some how it seems worse than the cleaning and organizing that you have to do before you go... I'm not talking about cleaning so much but there always seems to be a small mountain of laundry, and even though it's one of those jobs that are less crappy than others, why does vacation laundry always feel like a massive mountain to climb?! 
Wouldn't it be lovely if there was some magical assistance that would help you with those mountains?! I'd love to have myself some Lil Witches - like the ones from Tardfish - that could sort, clean, and then iron my laundry, if they could fold and put it away too I'd be even more appreciative... Since I don't have any helpers, I guess I'll have to do these things alone but maybe someday it might be a thing we all have... A little laundry witch!

A Lady Detective in the 1920s

I got very excited by a new release from a store that I'm not normally a client of. Sometimes you see something in an event and can't wait to get yout hands on it, and that's one of the things that I love about the SL shopping events. There are lots of stores brought together that you may not regularly use, but an item is released and everything changes... It was like that today with the amazing new release from Salt & Pepper at Equal10... A look that takes us back in time, to when glamour was jazzy coated with glitz...

The glitz and glamour of the 1920s, the era of the Great Gatesby, was one of highs and lows... Prohibition and mobsters, jazz and swing, it's an era that oozes decadence, especially when you see it represented in the media... Now, I know Salt Perry - owner of Salt & Pepper - has based her latest creation on the great Gatesby, but my current addiction is a tv crime series set in 1920's Australia called "Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries"... She's a lady detective in a time when men were still considered the stronger sex, and with her companion and household staff, she is out to right the wrongs and discover the truth... It's a BRILLIANT series, with some strong female characters, a little bit of steam between Miss Fisher and the detective, and lots of action too... Armed with her little gold pistol, and closing her cases with a Whiskey on the Rocks - like the ones from the Whiskey Tray set from Junk Food - this divalicious detective leaves Jessica Fletcher in the dust...

Sparkling Shit Happens

 It's cold and dark early these days... I'm exhausted and feeling like I'm just going through the motions... Things keep happening that are not totally wonderful and athough I get the odd spark of good news, all I want to do is slip into hibernation... 
I decided that now I'd be stepping out on a stage, dressed in neons, surrounded by neons and sparkling with a fake smile to act like I'm enjoying myself... BECAUSE well Shit Happens, so you just have to keep a smile on and try to get on with it...

Club Shit Happens, is definitely a place where anything can go on... I love dancing though, I don't care what it is or how I dance but when the music takes control it's easy to dance and let it distract me from the present bleh I'm in... 
Normally when things on my blog are dark and bleak, I'm at my happiest. I love being a fantasy pretty fae being, but tonight I'm hiding my feelings of being down in the dumps behind colours and sexiness... I'm going pole dancing...

The Second Best Way To Relax!

I've had a long day of studying and tomorrow until Sunday I'm heading off on a three day working at the shop kinda blogging time out... I have had a busy day and my mind is spinning with all of the new information that I received... This evening, I had to find something to do that was a bit of a stress relief, I found the perfect break time activity, and then I found another perfect way to relax once the relaxation was done... 

The relaxing part was more than a little naughty, but sometimes, that is one of the most relaxing things a girl can do... I love to get myself all pretty, though sometimes when you spend too long waiting for someone to turn up and help, you have to take matters into your own hands... 
I mean it always helps if you have a willing participant, failing that a bear in a strapon can work too, but once all of that is done, there's a good book on the bedside table and a coffee can be brought in by room service at the Northern Cliff House Hotel - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - so there is plenty to keep you occupied whilst you relax...

Flappers Don't Speakeasy

I've been watching old episodes of a TV show that I used to enjoy watching with my Dad on a Sunday evening after dinner before bathtime.. A series of adapted Agatha Christie's of "Poirot", set in the interim between the wars taking place in the 1920s and 1930s... 
It's making me feel a bit nostalgic and definitely feeling a little better, and when I was putting together a picture today to blog, I randomly found myself heading back to the 1920s for a bit of a party... 

The 1920s were a period of rising spirits... The war was over and good times were to come again... It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, there was a prohibition of the making and selling of alcohol. Parties took on a different tone, but that wasn't going to stop some people from having fun... The Flappers - for example - were showing the change in power of women, a sign of rebellion and the happiness of youth after the darkness of the war...

Chocolate Cake for the Devil

It's Friday Night, and most people are ready for the weekend now, I wish I could say I was too but I still have to work a full day tomorrow... It's never a piece of cake to be a working girl in Amsterdam these days, but now that I think of it, I would probably be more interested in the cake than the actual working... Not that I'm anti hard work, but cake always seems like such a good reward...

Stuck in a Canyon Sized Rut!

Things in my RL are changing a little, everyday I'm hearing about new and amazing things that are happening... Sometimes for the better and others for the worse, depending on the luck of the day, but recently there have been two changes that are making my life more interesting... I've being on a lifestyle course for the last year now, since my terrifying rush to the hospital's recovery was over... I've been told I've lost 20kgs!!! Today was also a change in my working life... I've had the first day of training to become the assistant store manager for the store I work in... 
Changes are happening in my life, and I am kinda excited to be travelling down this road, I just hope nothing breaks down and I get stuck along the way... 

I'd started out on this road, a road that seemed like a road to nowhere and it felt like I was stuck in a bit of a rut... It was like I'd been driving through Canyon Valley - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and the car broke down. I'd gotten stuck in the biggest of rut and wasn't able to get out or grow anywhere...

Do I want to take the exit - a sign like the one from Lemme - that leads to routine or do I take a jump and dive into a passion?? I walk a lonely road, but I want to know what to do to make it a good walk...

A Sparkle in the Club

Saturday Night and some people are heading out for a night on the town... I wish that after a day like today that I could do exactly that. I used to love being a happy-go-lucky, party-animal, I'd be out on the town, I'd be surrounded by friends and I'd hit the center of the danc floor and would be there till the sun came up... 
My, my how things change... Now I'm old and work far too much for a living, I find myself wanting nothing more than a night curled up on the sofa, under a blanket with chocolate and a cup of tea... I'll just send Rudh out to do the partying for me...

Convincing them to give me toys...

Tis a brand new year, and with that comes brand new expectations of myself and all the fun things that go along with the new start. I've been doing some pretty things, some wintery things and for now I've decided to do one of those naughty little things that always make me smile... 
It's about time I got myself a little naughty on, I've been a good girl and now that Santa has come and gone, and won't be back again for a while, I can get away with things... 
Today, I'm going to be slipping into a disguise and heading down to a factory to find myself a new toy that Santa forgot to bring me...

Using Christmas Gifts to Seduce Me

Around this time of year, everyone starts to send out their pretty, couply Christmas Cards with well wishes for the holidays and into the new year. I have been planning on getting somethign cute and couply done with HellBone, but then there are so many pretty, but rather risque poses out there that he'd never be happy posing in... I needed to find help, someone I know lives on the risque side of life, someone I feel safe and comfortable to bare all and lower my inhibitions with, and someone that means a lot to me since I was thinking of one of those cutesy Christmas card pictures in the darkest corners of my mind... 

The obvious choice had to be Deangelo, a man who has been a rock for me since we met over 15 years ago. Our relationship has changed over the years, but no matter how far away from each other we drifted, we have always been watching out for each other. He's protective of me, and I of him. He is someone that knows the real me, the truth behind my sparkly facade and he's supported me on so many occasions that I have lost count so many times over... 
I asked him to celebrate Christmas a little early with me this year, I made sure I was wrapped up in ribbons so that he would enjoy the unwrapping of the gifts as I asked him to Seduce Me - thanks to a pose from Secret Poses. Choices, Choices, which door do I choose?

Halloween has finally left the building, although I don't think it will ever fully be gone from my corner of the world. Though there is lots of magic still swirling around in the air, and I know that since Rudh is always into the magical arts, that there will ALWAYS be plenty of magic and monsters and darkness... Yet right now, as the Halloween magic fades away Rudh has a choice, is she going to be playing more on the darkside of the magic, or will she be able to follow to the light?

Standing before the doors in the Library of Portals - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - she has to make her decision before the doors are able to close and block the magic for a while. The dark side is hoping to lure her in with it's beautiful collection of skulls and devious little monsters, but the good side is offering up sparkles and magic tricks and everythig that's cute and adorable! 
Which door should I take? Which is the right path for me... You know it's such a hard choice to make!!!

Quality Control at the Love Factory

Sometimes I let my naughty side out to play, I don't tend to plan things but wheen they come up then I cannot stop them as the ball gets rolling and it's snowballing before I know it... 
Things have been so busy lately that the workplace floor is somewhat forgotten, but that is where the work takes place and that is where the Quality Control checks take place... The Quality Control is carried out on all manner of things, by the Cyberbots... 

They are willing to test EVRYTHING, including the machine that makes the most amazing array of toys. The Love Factory - a brilliant machine from LEMME that's available for the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - makes fuck toys, it's just one department in the quality control department. Since, they are here for quality control, the Cyberbots are all expected to test the merchandise and record their findings via the Cam Girl - a pose and prop from Extra - app with the big bosses. I think they will e pleased with the findings...

Stuck in Bed

So I'm back home now as I said before, and I've finally gotten myself set up so that I can have some access to my PC... I think right now that I need some sanity, I need to be able to have a little access to SL and perhaps I have the chance now to be able to get myself into my blog?! Baby steps, but I need something to do to take my mind off the pain... 

Right now, I'm curled up on the bed that was loaned to me from the health care companies so that I have a place to heal... It's not ideal, it's right in the middle of my living room, but we've rigged up a computer to it, and I have the TV so I guess I'll have to wait for the comforts of my own bed... 
Right now though, I guess having access to the TV, my cellphone - thanks to the new Boutique #187 Precious Phone for Happy Weekend - and a computer, being forced to spend all the time in my Pyjamas - or in Rudh's case one of my favourite sets of soft fluffy robe and nightshirt sets called Clem from miss chelsea - checking and rechecking my temperature, taking pills as ordered by my doctors and make sure I look after myself with some delicious bowls of hot soup to make me feel better... I LOVED this kinda soup when I was a little kid, and when I'm sick it comes second only to Chicken Noodle as my healing soup of choice, but how can anyone turn down a bowl of delicious Alphabet Soup - from Junk Food, served with Crackers and a glass of water, available at Blanc until January 25th - my only question for you now as I tuck into my delicious soup is, what can you spell with yours?!

I'm Getting Off The Naughty List!

 It's been a very long time since I let myself get a little naughty and I have a funny feeling that right now, I have to get myself out of a tricky situation... I heard from a failry reliable source that should not be named, but apparently my name is visible on a certain fat man in red's naughty list... 
Now I know that it might get me deeper down the list but I know the way that might work... It might also make me Santa's Baby?! 

Dressed like a naughty little Elf - thanks to an amazing outfit created by 1313 Mockingbird Lane, available at Tannenbaum, and more visible if you want to check the advert that I've added below - I found a way into the big guy's room and waited, surprised to see the amount of things that HE should be on his own naughty list for... 
I got the chance to speak with him, and he luckily he agreed there was a way I could get off the list... Ten minutes later I was bound and gagged, Strung Up with Christmas Lights - thanks to an amazing  Gag and set of cuffs and collar from Short Leash - BUT I had a gift from Mr.Clause, well a gift or two hehe...

HALLOWEEN PARTY TIME!!

This is NOT a drill people, it's finally Halloween!! There's so much fun to be had today and it's all about to start kicking off for me as we start hosting our Halloween/Closing Party for the maze this year!

A Shy New Pet

 During the lockdown, you hear so many people were adopting new pets to give them things to do at home... I have two adorable pets of my own at home - Izzy, my Puppy, and Anna, the cat - so I know how valuable they have been at keeping me sane. Yet, I think back on the time that it took for the babies to settle in and make my home, their home... 
This goes for the adoption of any pet... You never know how long a pet will take to settle in, and it plays a lot on the personality of the animal... If  they are a little shy, it might take them a little longer!

Rudh is not really the kind of person that most people would call shy, but I have to tell you that a lot of it is all fluff and hot air... Behind the screen I am a very shy and self-concious person, I have anxiety and a lack of self confidence, but I've learnt to keep that hidden... Now that I'm married it's a little different, but before Hell I was the kind of submissive Babygirl that was considered a brat until someone got close. 
If I was a little pet, no matter how spoilt I'd been with a room full of some lovely kitty furniture in the form of the Magical Kitten Set - from Krescendo - I would probably be very shy to show off my lingerie - a new set from 1313 Mockingbird Lane called Dark Torment - even if she's been praised as Daddy's Prized Pet...
