Pausing for a Moment...

A brief moment of respite from all of the cute, pretty, flowery stuff that February is all about to reflect on things... I know I've mentioned it a few times this past month but now that February has started, I'm already over a month past my life scare and I'm now evaluating things to make sure I don't let them dwell in my already, over thinking mind... 

It never hurts to pause for a moment, have a coffee, or in Rudh's case a sneaky smoke - of a cigar rather than a cigarette this time - thanks to the laid back "Cigar" Pose from Secret Poses at Shiny Shabby - and for my break I decided to chillax on the Hotel balcony, watching the city way below, wondering if I'll be able to sleep in this room tonight with all the glowing neon around...

Burritos & Rudhitos

I'm hungry, it's dinnertime and as it's cold, I want something delicious and HOT. Not just heat wise, it's gotta be spicy hot too, so that it warms me from the inside out... Maybe a curry, or a casserole that's been cooked for hours.. Oh I know... CHILI!! Not just regular chili though, feeling lazy kinda chili, maybe a burrito?!

Make the chili, and serve with some delicious salad in a fresh, soft, tortilla for easy eating... I'm so lazy but it's easier to eat this way LOL... 
I made myself some DELICIOUS Chili - thanks to not one but two gorgeous sets from Dust Bunny, the Chili Days and Bunny Bell sets - but couldn't resist playing with a mini-me ray and shrinking myself down to see how it would feel to make a Rudhito hehe... I wrapped myself up in a burrito, like a giant Burrito Blanket - made by Ananas at the soon to close CozyFest, where everything is priced at 50L until February 4th - dyed my hair green so that when I laid down it looked a little like a lettuce leaf, and rolled around a little while until I was warm and cozy, and even more starving than before!!!

Let Me Work My Magic!

I know that I have been really all over the place with my blogging lately, but I always seem to radiate back to the magical side of things with a large dollop of fantasy and a small dose of darkness... I've often expressed that blogging is an escape from real life, and I guess that's why I tend to be drawn to the crazy, or the magical... I'm not so good at doing the normal - I've shown that with the numbers of lies I'm getting on Flickr - but the magical makes me happy... 
I will continue to work my magic, like some dark, twisted magician... 

Hidden in the darkness, in a box of glitter - a Glitterbox photo booth from FOXCITY I might add - but this place is darkness for a few moments only though because with a clap of my hands the magic lamps came to life... Glittering in their Moroccan Glass colours - from Quills & Curiosities, available now at the Warehouse Sale - and sparkling through the holes in the "Themis Lanterns" - from [Cubic Cherry] at Midnight Order - as I prepare myself for the spells I'm about to cast... This one is a memory spell. I want to know just what you're thinking... Casting spells of memory... Calling on the magic of my Oracle Cards - from LuluB at Cozyfest - and my Hypno Watch - from Tardfish - is used to put you into a relaxed state!

That Long Drive Home...

Being stuck at home in bed for so long I'm left to think far too much... While I'm trying to put the ideas out of my mind, about how close I came to not being here anymore, it's getting harder to be without my family... I've heard though that Mum and Dad have booked a trip to come over and see me, and it's making everything feel a little better - like a medicine for the soul... 

It's not quite going home and spending time in the UK, which always feels like a chance to heal just by breathing the air - which I don't care what anyone says the air is different in the UK than it is in the Netherlands LOL... 
However, it's still a feeling of coming home, having the chance to be able to give my parents a hug and be in their presence. In RL, I'd be taking a a trip with a car packed with goodies and my favourite plushie - that I've had since I was a tiny baby - but in SL he doesn't exist and this adorable Doodle Pup - from Foxwood for the Saturday Sale this weekend - is a close fit to how he'd look if he was real hehe... 
One of my favourite things in this picture though, is this adorable "Arielle" Crop Top - from Decoy during this weekend's Happy Weekend Sale - and although I've always LOVED Decoy because of it's creative designs and beautiful colour collections, I recently had the honour of being invited to blog for the store too... I'm so excited, and two lots of good news today make me a very happy girl!!
