Getting Dirty

It's been a busy few days since I've been back in the Netherlands but that may be because I've been back at work and it's been crazy busy... The high season is coming and people seem to be making an appearance within the city... I'm tired and sore but my mind is happy that I was able to get back to work, AND that tomorrow I get to have a lovely day off... 

I love my job, sometimes it's hard work but it's a job that has lovely colleagues and a usually happy public that I can entertain... Sometimes I want to murder a few people, and there are always people that think they know better but it's job that I go out and do, that pays my bills, gets me to meet a variety of random and interesting people and COME ONE, it's CHEESE!! Rudh likes getting dirty in other ways, but even she needs to admit that sometimes it's good getting her hands dirty...

Valentine's Treats!

I know that I have said that I am away in the UK, and that I wouldn't be blogging anything because I'm having family time... Well... That was a kinda fib on my part, it's Valentine's Day and I wouldn't have been able to pass this romance filled day by without sharing SOMETHING on my rambling space would I?! If you answered yes to that, I wonder, do you even know me at all? LOL... Of course I'd find the time to do something full of romance and hearts and far too much sweetness... 

Of course, I will admit that I KNEW there might be something coming. I got ahead of myself and set something up before I left home because I knew myself and that I simply couldn't pass by a day like Valentine's without having something to say here lol... It's an addiction I fully admit to, and I'm going to own it... 
So I'll keep things short and sweet today, and send lots of love hugs and kisses... Remember to love yourself today, doesn't matter if you're in the self-love club or you're happily with someone... Loving yourself is an important step to greatness and if there is ONE PERSON in this world we should all be able to rely on, it's ourselves...

Fresh Out, So I'm Off!

That's it, it's officially Wednesday in my neck of the woods and that means only ONE THING this week... TODAY IS THE DAY I SAY BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE... Today is the day that I am officially checking out of my adulting life because today is the day that I am going back to my parents for the week. I will be the only one there too, which means I get undivided attention - ask me later if that's still something I am happy about - but I guess one last post to you now can't and won't hurt... 

So I woke myself up WAY TOO EARLY, I dunno if it was excitement or stress induced but hey, it gave me an extra few hours to be able to sit down with a coffee and write to you about my immanent departure... I've checked and double checked that I have everything, and HellBone won't allow me to take the cat because he needs someone to look after him so I THINK I'm ready to go...  
SO I won't be around until the 22nd - although you know me I'll be lurking somewhere in the background and MAY even have a post prepared, though don't get your hopes up too much at this point - but don't miss me too much... I will be back!!!

Love on the Pastel Promenade

It's the month of hearts, romance and valentines... Pretty, sweet, romantic things that make the heart flutter and those that love love, sparkle... I felt a need to do something pretty and pink and romantic and sparkly, it's not my favourite of the holidays and so I'm doing my best, even though I'm very much the Anti-Valentine right now... It's time for some hearts, romance and sparkly things... 

I wanted to create my own personal little cupid... One that looks sweet and innocent, a cute little replacement for the diapered baby, with someone a little more sweet and devious... A pretty little feathered angel, that's pale skinned and glittering hearts and dripping in pink... It's the perfect outfit to take a walk down the Pastel Promenade in the city of Love...

Dino Butt Snacks

I got home from work and felt like I had been hit by a bus this evening. Work was busy and stressful, and so when I got home there was nothing better than slipping into my comfy jammies, and raid the kitchen in search of food... 

I have no idea what to eat but right now I fancy junk food... I need junk food, something delicious and not good for me, but more than that I need to think about feeding my babies... The fur babies in RL, and the soft, adorable Dino Butts - from Tardfish at Cupid Inc - that I allow to share my comfortable snuggly bed...

A Brunchtime Romance

Since Valentines Day is coming this week, and I've been trying to get into the spirit of things but it's not ever going to be easy for me, as I keep saying I'm really not a hearts and flower kinda girl. I CANNOT wait until Halloween, it's the most wonderful time of the year. So I am now pushing myself somewhat harder, this morning I decided to take a moment and set up the most romantic of Valentines Brunches... For someone VERY special... ME!!!

I set up a table on the Rue Cremieux - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - with some fresh bread, some delicious fruits and a HUGE jar of the most delicious Yumtella - a release from vespertine at Cupid Inc - for a wonderfully indulgent brunch. I'm making this year my year, it's all about me learning to Love myself, and so dressing up all pretty in a gorgeously, sexy dress - from Psycho Barbie - doing my hair up all fancy in a fresh, newly dyed do - from Doe at Cupid's Fault until February 20th - to feed myself this scrumptious breakfast. I even brought myself some beautiful pink roses - from hive - and a soft fluffy bear,then even wrote myself a note promising a silly strip tease in the mirror... This year is going to be my year, and I am going to love myself!

Magically Summoning A Valentine

It's Valentines Weekend, and everywhere I look it seems like there are so many couples being cute and adorably sweet, but knowing my Hubby I'm going to be doing things all by myself on Tuesday and over the rest of the Valentines weekend. I got home from work, after a stupidly long and mental work day today, and I decided to take matters into my own hands. I wanted to find myself someone who'd appreciate me, I needed to find myself a special valentine that HellBone couldn't object to... It was time to head to the store to collect a few things and work a little magic... 

There are so many good things at the store these days to prepare for  magic spell on Valentines... I had a look at the spell that I've found in one of those cheesy "Ravishing" Romance Novels - from Random.Matter at Cupid Inc - which said I needed some Valentines Candy both chocolate and love heart styles, some beautifully scented flowers and since it's something that I enjoy a variety of different Valentines coffees, since they are definitely a way to a girls heart... Then place "The Perfect Boyfriend" made from chocolate - and released by Junk Food at Cupid Inc - into a pentacle of  Love Hearts and start chanting... If the magic works, your chocolate man will become your perfect Valentine...

The Most Expensive Thing at the Museum!

Sometimes I get random ideas that start as one thing and end up in another, but as soon as I saw one of the items that was a special free gift for Valentines I couldn't resist the chance to do something silly with it... 
Valentine's is coming fast and furious, there is so much in the way of hearts and flowers and cute lovey dovey stuff, but buying Valentine's gifts can be trecherous and dangerous... For 2023, if you want something extremely special, something very expensive, and natural, maybe you need to look in the dairy aisle of the supermarket... 

2023's most expensive treasure, The Egg - a gift from Junk Food at Cupid Inc - would make a perfect "Engagement Egg"... 
Never know, in the future a specially preserved egg could end up in a glass case in the museum as the most valued posession of this year, alongside crown jewels and diamonds, and treasures throughout the ages.

An After Valentine's Chocolate Haul!!

One of the best things about a holiday like Valentine's Day, is that the day after the event, there are lots and lots of deals on discount price chocolate, adorable plushies and pretty flowers that had been sold at exorbitant prices... It makes a girl like me, that's addicted to chocolate, very happy... 

Heading into the Crystal Convenience Store, I grabbed myself a shopping cart - from Junk Food, an old Halloween release that's FULL of candy - and as I wandered through the store I stopped to grab some delicious discounted heart candies, in gorgeous heart shaped boxes - from Violetility - bouquets of flowers and cake, and even a super cute, plush huggable Heart - from Vespertine. Dressed like Chocolate myself, I seemed to blend in... A cute little chocolate drop, Truffle Beret - from Half-Deer - and an amazing costume  made of "Chocolate 4U" - from Ananas at CUPID Inc - and once I'm done stuffing my face with all of this chocolate, it won't be long until Easter brings more chocolate!!

Angels Relax in the Clouds

Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day. and everyone is focusing on Cupid, it would seem like such a good day to take some time off. A day of rest from watching people over their shoulder, heaven knows that the one watching over mine deserves a day off after the crap I've put her through recently LOL...

Pastel Rainbows!

Spring is very much on it's way, yeah it's still cold but the sun has been shining and it won't be long after Valentine's is over until we start talking about chocolate eggs and bunnies! Popcorn And Pizza Stealing Puppies!

Life is fairly slow and simple for me at the moment, so I'm starting to go a little crazy being stuck at home - have to wait until my wounds fully heal before I'm allowed to go back to work, and I never thought I'd miss the cheese shop so much LOL - but I'm doing a lot of sitting around in my comfy jammies, watching crappy tv and eating far too much junk food! 
Normally I am using SL as a place to let my imagination run wild, distracting me from the lazy boredom, but today... Nope today is a Movie Chillax kinda day... 

Getting ready for Movie Night in my SL house is never an easy task. The moment that the doorbell rings and the pizza delivery boy is outside, my fur babies go bonkers wanting a delicious slice of hot, fresh, pizza! I grabbed myself a couple of slices, stuffing them away for safe keeping in the handy pocket of my "VDay for One" Shirt - from Vinyl at this year's wound of Cupid Inc - as I was mobbed by my pack of adorable puppies!! Maybe while they are distracted, I will make myself some fresh popcorn - the microwave kind from Junk Food is the best - though I doubt I'd even be allowed to eat that in peace!

Cupid of the Future

It seems like every year the holidays become more and more commercial, maybe I'm just being a grumpy old fart, but it seems like nowadays you can get everything and anything you want covered in hearts at this time of year... I find myself wondering, what a holiday like Valentines will be in the future... Will cupid grow up a little and become part cyborg, ready to spread a little futuristic lovin'? 

I would think that in the future, cupid might have become Cupids - or would that be Cupiden as a plural? - and there might even be female versions of the little angel... I know if there were, and it's the future they might be less baby-like, more adult in size, and armed with a brilliant new gun - like the UNA Cupid's Gun. Candy at the Prom

It's the month of romance and since I've been stuck in bed, I found myself watching old movies again... Movies I loved from my younger days. The kind of movies where a girl gets swept into a life changing romance with a little magic in for good measure... Movies like "The Princess Diaries", "Never been Kissed" and one of my old favourites "10 Things I hate About You!" 
All this romance, and all these movies, I'm slipping back into daydreams I had where I was going to these dances to live start my life as a fairytale princess - yes I was that kind of teenage girl, a dreamer lol... 

So in all those movies, there tends to be a school dance, which I would say ALWAYS seems more interesting than the one I went to at High School. The reason that I'm rambling on about this today is because I've been playing around with the brand new, gorgeous release from miss chelsea - available until February 28th at Anthem - which as soon as I played with this pink colour reminded me of Bianca Stratford's dress in "10 Things I Hate About You" and from that moment on Rudh was going to her own Prom hehe... 

After losing out to the Prom Queen title, a sash was given to Rudh as she became Miss Congeniality - which is another AWESOME movie by the way - it was time to celebrate. Slipping away from the dance floor, following the delicious smell of Candyfloss... Delicious Cotton Candy, one of the best kinds of Junk Food types you can find... So Much Sugar!!

Long Distance Valentines

I know that I am not a fan of Valentine's Day as a holiday - there are many other people that do love the chance for a bit of heart and flower based romance - but one of the things that I remember most about the feeling that went with this time of year was when HellBone and I were newly dating, everyone else was sharing gooey romance stories and my other half was across the English Channel... So I'm taking a moment to share a hug with anyone that is missing their loved one right now, and I don't just mean the romance kind - although Rudh definitely got into that kinda spirit in her bedroom earlier - if you're missing someone you love, I'm sending you a huge hug... 

Rudh on the other hand, decided to get her own little lonely hearts moment on and found another lonely heart on one of those sleezy websites... Sitting somewhere comfy, on a bed set up for a Sexy Streamer - from Violetility - with some random.Matter accessories dotted within reach. Her toy with spare batteries, a bottle of wine with a classy mug and half a box of chcolates as well as a trashy set of romance novels in case her new found friend doesn't fulfil her needs... Just before they get on cam though, she wondered to herself, should I take off my adorably cute toe socks - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - ooooh or even better, maybe she should eat some of that delicious vespertine fried chicken she just had delivered, after all who wants to play on an empty stomach!!!

What happened to the Anti-Valentine?!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! It's a holiday that I'm really not a fan on, but sometimes you cannot help but get swept up in the festive feeling. Today I'm all about hearts and romance and soppy cute stuff, even though I tried to be an Anti-Valentine, somehow everything got twisted and there was FAR too much cute stuff covered in adorable little hearts that seemed to follow me everywhere I went! I guess I got struck by one of cupid's arrows or something... I was fully prepared to do something dark and twisted today, but well... This happened... 

You can see I was decorating for something a little dark and macabre, and very Anti-Valentine. These amazing balloons - from Angelic Designs, available as a last day today at Necrosis, were being scattered around liberally to show people how I really feel about Valentines, along with me grabbing a can of "Not Today Cupid" from NOIR. When suddenly these far too cute to be real, little Cupid Bunnies - from MishMish - appeared and started shooting their little heart arrows everywhere. It was like I had a target on my body - from MooLoo -, they seemed to hit again and again - which would be a good horror story really - and the Anti-Valentines me was suddenly filled with a weird desire for hearts and pink!?!
