Gittering at the Roller Disco

I need some happy, I want to let my hair down and dance, and although all I'm listening to at the moment seems to be Black Sabbath, I feel like it brings me to tears every now and again... 
I might have to switch it up and listen to something a bit more cheesy pop as I head into my last day of work... Tomorrow I have one more work shift then I am on holiday for a couple of weeks YAY... 

I feel like I want to go back into my past and one of those crazy fun Saturday nights that we used to go to at the youth rollerskating rink... It was nothing special as they just turned a sports hall into the rink by adding a DJ booth at one end and spent a few hours playing cheesy pop music... 
I feel like that's what I need right now, it's definitely feeling like that wil help me get through the next few days before I go home...

Darkest of Three Ways

I do love times when I find myself getting inspired by the things going on around me. One of the biggest inspiratons that has been pulling onme latelyhappens to be the fact that when I'm not working on something blogging wise, or even knitting myself into a new blanket, I'm reading... I have always been a reader, but since the beginning of this year, I've been reading a heck of a lot more and I'm loving it. I've fallen into a world of smut with the occasional romantic sweetness, and maybe even the odd fairytale... 
The story that I've been reading this week happens to be a mixture of all of these things, and I decided to try my hand to see what can be made from my imaginings.. The story is "Her Soul to Take" by Harley Laroux...

This is the story of a girl moving back to her childhood home only to discover that she's become the obsession of a gorgeous demon, and the intended sacrifice to an old God. There's a level of scary, a level of tension and a level of darkness that make this book a great read. There's also a level of smut in it that meant there had to be a content warning which says the book shouldn't be used as a manual for BDSM practices... 
So when I was playing around with the look today it happened that not only was bad little Rudh on the hunt for a new toy to play with - capturing one in a zip up bodybag like the one from MDN at Midnight Order - it turned into her staking down a dark alley, dragging her toy to her demon dressed in the kinkiest of pink PVC outfits... There has never been a better time to STOP monogamy and have a three way...

Schools Out!

Today's the big day, here in the northern parts of the Netherlands, it's the day that schools finish for Summer... In the words of the great Alice Cooper... SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER!!!

Most everyone will be heading out to have a little fun in the sun, if it ever turns up this summer, but they are all about to leave school for a much needed break... Rudh on the other hand, because she's always been a bit of a bad girl, and somewhat of a rebel, she has been held back for another few weeks of summer school... School may be out for everyone, but Rudh is going to just make notes of all of the happiness and remember those who left her behind over Summer break...

A Break from the Games

I'm having a lazy day, I've been chillaxing, doing a few thing that have needed to get done and then tomorrow I get to go to work and deal with idiots again... Right now though I'm going to lay back, relax and enjoy a few guilty pleasures... Play some games, read a book and enjoy some good snacks. Everything is perfect to relax to... I'm happy and peaceful, I haven't felt like this in a while... 

I've had a very very relaxing day... Market Day

Happy Sunday, a lazy day for some but for me it's been BUSY as all heck... I've been working today but luckily because it was so quiet I snuck out early and find my way home to make myself something delicious for dinner... 
When I was younger I might have stopped in at my favourite place which was our local market - the market in my little town in RL now is on a Thursday - to get myself some fresh veggies and a nice bit'o'steak... 

One of my favourite places in SL happens to be my home sim... Hell made the gardens amazing, and our homes are set in what I think of as our own little provincial life. Yes I'm singing that in my head as if I'm Belle and I'm dancing around the gardens. We have our own little woodlands, a farm full of animals and a HUGE plant growing garden, but one of my favourite places is the market... I've put all kinds of fruits, veggies and home-made produce, fresh coffee and bread and flowers... 
So on this lovely Sunday afternoon, I went to market.Picking up a gorgeous bouquet of Spring Harvest Tulips - from vespertine at Fameshed - and stuffed my Farm Bag - from Junk Food for the new round of Farmers Market - full of delicious goodies... I maybe be naughty and pick up a cake or something for dessert...

Toys and Cookies for Puppy Training

The books that I'm reading at the moment definitely seem to be having an influence on me and the way my mind is working at the moment... I've been letting my mind wander into darker delights that are delicious and fun, and creating some interestingly pretty new looks for myself...
Today, for some reason I ended up letting my mind slip into the realm of becoming a puppy to a worthy, welcoming and protective Daddy... I wonder if there is anyone that will welcome a new puppy into their home... 

I've never really had any desire to participate in pet play, it's something that always seems a little to close to being a furry or even darker desires that hide in the shadows... Though from the books I've been reading, I'm intrigued, and cannot deny Rudh the chance to find herself caught up in the playtime.. 
Daddy's play room in the La Chandelle Room - which is actually a skybox from Varonis - a small area has been set aside to indulge in Daddy's new puppy... He's set out a new bed, a leash and made a jar of fresh cookies ready to treat his new pet. The toys are new too, the big rubber cones can double as more than one type of toy, whilst she's got soft plushie donuts and lattes for her Pet Collection - from Junk Food, which is an oldie but still a cutie and is available in the mainstore! Shes even been bought a new collar for the games today, a Bone Collar - from Krescendo that is available in the mainstore - tht will be perfect for her new leash...

The Naughtiest of Games

Today I let myself get out of my comfort zone and allowed myself to be affected by the smut that I've been reading lately... I don't normally tend to get myself too naughty when I'm taking pictures as firstly it's not something I feel good at, secondly I worry that people might think it's too much... There are a lot of great SL photographers that take amazing sexual photos but I'm terrible at it... 
However, I wanted to get a little naughty, the books are effecting my mind, and well... It's time for a little game...

Magic of the First Flutters of Snow

Whilst out in the garden raking up the falling leaves, I discovered a new hole in the ground that wasn't there the day previous... It might have come up because of the ground works they are doing around our house lately, but it seemed pretty fresh, and I noticed something poking out of the dirt... 

When I looked more closely, there was an old looking book poking out of the ground... My curiosity got the better of me, I abandoned the piles of leaves - which are a cute release from kotte at Kustom9 - and sat with this book that appeared to be something of a Grimoire - from Tardfish - that once I opened the cover started to swirl it's pages around me... 
The air started to cool, and flakes started to flutter through the sky, then I heard the giggling... Madamoiselle and her Puppies

That's it... September is done and dusted and that means only ONE thing... Tonight is October Eve, tomorrow is the official start of the spooky season and whilst I might not be able to do much about Halloween in RL, I m going to live it up as MUCH as possible in Second Life. Like every year, I plan on diving into the costume box, and aiming to try to complete a new look for every day of the month... Normal clothes will be taking a backseat, starting tomorrow it's time to get monstrous... 

So for probably the last time that I'll be looking human and normal for a while I'm just making sure I get myself through all of the chores that I have to do before I start playing dress up... 
One of those last ones, as the sun is setting and the last thing I have to do is take the dogs out like the Madamoiselle I am - thanks to a pose from Fashiowl. The Sparkle of Angelic Demons

Weekends should feel like magic... Instead today has been nothing but arguements at my house in RL. I'm left feeling even more exhausted. I love my hubby but sometimes he's just too much and I want nothing more than to run away back to my true home in the UK...
At times like this I find myself reverting back into my own fantasy world and letting the pretty, sparkly, magical wonderfulness take over to hide my real feelings... It's a good indicator for me, if I'm feeling low things will be magical, if I'm happy and feeling full of energy, pictures will be darker and more dead looking... 

This time I'm magical, I'm ethereal and I'm trying to let my bad feelings flicker to the darker, back parts of my mind... This ethereal being part angel, part demon is someone that has been seen making use of the magical libraries within the Engine Room...

The Second Best Way To Relax!

I've had a long day of studying and tomorrow until Sunday I'm heading off on a three day working at the shop kinda blogging time out... I have had a busy day and my mind is spinning with all of the new information that I received... This evening, I had to find something to do that was a bit of a stress relief, I found the perfect break time activity, and then I found another perfect way to relax once the relaxation was done... 

The relaxing part was more than a little naughty, but sometimes, that is one of the most relaxing things a girl can do... I love to get myself all pretty, though sometimes when you spend too long waiting for someone to turn up and help, you have to take matters into your own hands...

Just a few more days to get through and then I have a few days off... Right now though I feel like a trapped animal, a monster in a cage, and I'm desperate to get out... Sparking Up!

I don't normally partake in anything smoking related anymore, not since I finally forced myself to quit during the pandemic, but days like this and while I'm still feeling totally homesick, I find myself feeling drawn to rolling a joint and helping myself to relax... I'm feeling contemplative, trying to get on with things and mentally prepare myself for the stress of going back to work... 

I have this feeling of wanting to unburden myself, I could write paragraphs of nonsense about feelings and wanting to find ways to cheer myself up, but I think that it will send everyone to sleep.... We all have our issues, we all have our problems and we all have to deal with these things in our own way. I know I'll survive, it's really just a little homesickness. It's just taking me a little longer to get over than normal... 
For now though, I'm going to sneak onto the roof and light an emergency joint that I have tucked away.. Don't tell anyone will you?!

Chocolate Cake for the Devil

It's Friday Night, and most people are ready for the weekend now, I wish I could say I was too but I still have to work a full day tomorrow... It's never a piece of cake to be a working girl in Amsterdam these days, but now that I think of it, I would probably be more interested in the cake than the actual working... Not that I'm anti hard work, but cake always seems like such a good reward...

A Last Pop Of Pride

Pride month is almost coming to an end, and what a fabulously bright and wonderful Pride Month it has been. I've not had much chance to enjoy the festivities in SL, but I live in Amsterdam and it's such an amazing place to have some rainbow fun... That being said it's been a wonderfully colourful month, and there's still a couple of days to enjoy the show... 

I know that once the month is over, the Pride feeling will not ever go away. It's not just something that's important for the month of June, it's something that should be remember every day all year, and as I've always said it shouldn't matter who you fall in love with, love is the most important thing and it should always be celebrated... 
Plus it's a DAMN GOOD REASON to get myself drenched in rainbows of all different kinds and party a little... Right now I love rainbows so much that I can't even think straight!!!

Letting the Dogs Out...

I'm done with work for the day, I've been busy and now that I'm home I'm going to curl up on the couch and watch something a little nonsense like on the TV... 
Now that I'm home though, Rudh on the other hand has work to do... The dogs have been locked up since I let them out at lunchtime, and there is a little bit of a mess in the yard right now... I better get out there and let them out while I clean up, then it's WALKIES time!!! 

My Spoiled Rotties - from Jian - aren't locked in the yard for long, but I made sure they had somewhere comfortable to han out while I'm at work... I found this amazing Beloved Kennel in a rather strange catalogue, apparently it's Human Sized - and comes from Violetility at the current round of FaMESHed X - and made for some strange kinks, but the dogs seem to like it...

Falling into a Dream

I've had a LOVELY lazy day... I don't get them very often at the moment considering how my work schedule has been and although the shop has been calming down, I don't think that I will be getting many more relaxing days for a little while yet... So whilst I've been relaxing, lazing and generally letting my mind wander, I'm lost to a perfect daydream... Wasting the day, spending it dreaming...

Dreams are such strange things... Some nights I can have a really deep sleep and dream of nothing, others I am so restless that the dreams are kinda vivid and make me wake up wondering what the heck I've done to cause the strangeness... There are very few days that I ever have the kind of dreams I want to have again and again, although those little fantasies are the ones I find myself falling asleep to... I am SO exhausted at the moment I tend to have no trouble falling asleep... 
As I'm falling asleep it feels a little like I'm falling down into a rabbit hole, just like Alice did into Wonderland... As I fall, the magic sparkles around me and so many weird, wonderful and pretty things float on by... Some adorable new friends, some amazing new furniture and the silliest new sets of eyes to watch my fall... I just hope there is something soft to land on and that it doesnt turn into one of those nasty dreams with a feeling of a surprise fall... Ugh how I hate those!!!!

Life Goes On

This week is a crazy one due to RL being full of Easter tourists in the city and me having to work in a tourist based Cheese Shop... 
Things in SL have also been getting to me a little bit too... I don't want to whine or grumble or complain, but recently I have been beginning to wonder what I'm doing wrong with my blogging. I work my butt off and try superhard, but this week there had been a collection of rejections for spots in blogging teams - two of which were straight out No, the other was an addition to a waiting list only to be rejected a little later on... Each little rejection, chipping away at my self-esteem, and a backwards slide into thoughts of "why is that person able to get more likes than me?" It's a feeling that I'd been trying to get over, a feeling that I was succeeding in getting past, but three rejetions in a day feels like a total slam in the gut.... 
I needed a moment step away, take a breath and try to get back on track...  

Out on the rooftop - which is actually a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - I looked perfectly glam, all prepped for a picture that I'd been planning to take, wearing the most adorable of outfits including an item from a store that I'd been rejected by, to take a secret smoke break... 
Looking out at the city lights, noticing how they twinkle against a starryback drop of the night sky, taking a deep breath made me find some perspective. It helped that I was contacted by a friend who made a suggestion that I applied for an Event she was a part of... Within a few hours, there was a boost me trying to increase my positivity with an acceptance and a chance to try something new...
By the end of the day, I felt better... My blog is my therapy, my happy place and my place to express myself. If I get rejections that just means that I am not what the designer is looking for, that doesn't mean I am bad at what I do. There are plenty of people out there, there are plenty of people that LOVE what I do, and that's a part of my therapy process that makes me happiest. I realised thinking about it, Life Goes On and I amhappy to see where it goes and what willcome my way...

Saucy Novels in Detention

I know that I tend to get lost sometimes when I am working on a blog post, it is the one thing that makes me feel most relaxed and trust me, today I need to switch my mind off of things that are going on, but I cannot seem to get my head into working on one of my twisted fairytales... The only thing that is coming easy seems to be the making of pretty looks that I would wear every day... So to distract myself I've decided to work on a little Look-of-the-Day... 

I don't often do things like a look of the day, I always feel a need to create a fairytale story... Today I've set up a scene that makes me feel super happy, but it's the outfit that made me feel the most happy... I LOVE how cute I look, I love that it's a little slutty and still totally adorably innocent too... 
It's an adorable outfit from Mug called "Maddie" - available until January 20th at The Fifty - that looks a little like a naughty schoolgirl uniform, and when I was dressing I knew a classroom would be a perfect location, for this adorable little "Snuggle Slut" - thanks to a tattoo from Adora-tions - to sit in her detention and read a "Saucy Novel" - from Puddles at Anthem...

WonderRudh and the Pirate Space Cats!

I've been kicking butt and taking names at work today... Thing have been changing at work, and I've decided that this year will be my year, so I sent a message to my boss to ask about a possible step up in my work life and was responded to with lots of positivity. I cannot wait until tomorrow now, although I'm nervous to have a formal sit down conversation to start me on a possible path for a new work course... 
I feel powerful right now, like I could do anything... It's the first time that I've felt like this for a while, and I feel like I could be a superhero...

While I was feeling this powerful, I was walking out on the street heading home. In my head I was skipping down the street in London on a pretty sunny day but in reality it was pissing down with rain in a dark city of Amsterdam. It wasn't long before I heard a commotion and noticed the little space ship blasting back off into space and it's inhabitants, a bunch of Pirate Space Cats - from Tardfish at Level - were causing all different kinds of trouble. 
I slipped into the nearest phonebooth, and had a little Clark Kent moment... Busting out of the booth, as the superhero that I am, I had to start kicking some butt and showing those kitties who is boss!!! Don't mess with WonderRudh! LOL Maybe I need a better superhero name, that really sounds like drain cleaner or something LOL...
