Sandwiches for Dinner

It's the first of February and I have no idea about where this month will take me... I'm moving to temporary housing in a few weeks because we're having some massive rennovations done to our home. It's causing my anxiety to spike and therefore more stress is in the house than normal. I'm worried about everything and I'll be honest I don't really want to do much of anything, it's a difficult cycle to be in... For right now I'll stick to the easy decisions I need to make... Like what do I want for dinner?!

I would say that's one of the easiest questions but one of the hardest to answer, and there have been SO MANY TIMES I tend to debate with myself for hours... I NEVER know what I want and when there is something that I do want and I don't have it, or I don't want anything that I do have. 
One of my favourite things that has become dinner will always be a Sandwich, I could eat sammiches ALL day long, preferably with a side of chips and maybe a little vinegary... Today, the sammich of choice is a Reuben - thanks to Lucas Lameth - and although I've never had one I hear that they are pretty good, full of pastrami, melted cheese and apparently sauerkraut. Tonight, as it's a special occasion because I feel like it, I'm going to have a lovely bag of Puppy's Tasty Snacks Potato Chips - from MishMish for the Saturday Sale this weekend - and a delicious Snap'N'Dill pickle - from Tardfish - where each of the packages comes with a surprise inside...

Dinner by the Pool

Today was supposed to be my first day of the weekend, and rather than having a lovely day off, Mother Nature had other ideas and I was left feeling yuck all day... 
I did, however, wake up feeling extremely hungry, and decided it would be a great idea to head out of my bed to find food... 

There's this fancy new restaurant that opened called the Indoor Pool Bar - which happens to be a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and I've heard great things about the delicious things on offer, so I planned that would be the place I'd eat today... 
There is a lot of different things on offer to eat, but I decided to take on their Bacon Tower Burger - a Junk Food Saturday Sale release - although rather than fries I opted for a bag of Flooritos - also from Junk Food - with some spicy salsa... One thing aside from the food that you REALLY have to try at the bar is the amazing cocktails in the Mexican Tumblers - from Boutique #187, available until July 11th at N21 - they are tequila based and absolutely delicious...

Tears so you Forget-Me-Not...

Today has been a bit of a sad day... It was the funeral of my mum's oldest friend's mother. She was a lady of epic proportions, never having had granddaughters she adopted me and my little sister, and even though she reached the grand old age of 96, she always had a spring in her step, never complained about anything and was constantly heard singing her favourite song about rocking all over the world... On other news, I heard something about another friends mother that was less happy and a lot more worrying... After all of the people I know getting ill lately, this was the one that pushed me over the edge and tears were shed for everyone... 
Feeling a little melancholy, and rather blue, I knew what needed to be done, I let the fantasy take over and became the fairy of the Forget Me Not... 

For some reason, the Forget Me Not Fairy is often found wandering around in the Graveyard - which is a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - carrying a bunch of her namesake flowers as she weeps for those forgotten souls in the dark. Her tears mingling with her magic to join the constellations in the sky - since they are Constella tears from KitCat - reminding everyone to Forget-Me-Not...

Demonic Heart Collectors

It's almost February, and there has been a slow, subtle trickle of all sorts of hearts and flowers beginning to appear in the Second Life universe... It's the season of Love and it's almost here, and although I am NOT a huge fan of Valentine's, the romance is not something that can really be avoided... There's plenty of love out there for everyone, lots of love that can be sweet, passionate and burn bright hot, but it can also cause a world of hurt and pain. There may be angels singing songs and prising the good side of love, but there's always a demon that loves love for the darker reasons... 

On an Evil Night like this one, the demons are already on the look out for those little love hearts that have gone astray. Collecting up the beating hearts - like the Beating K-Hearts from KitCat available this weekend for the Saturday Sale - this little demon has decided that wearing some adorable gloves like her favourite pair of "clawed halfgloves" - from Quills & Curiosities, available now at The Warehouse - to pick them any she finds. These ones are relly, super pretty...

Dancing in the Rainbow Lights

Do you ever have days where you know you want to do something, but have absolutely no idea what it is that you want to do?! I seem to get those a lot, and no matter what I do things always seem to just magically come together so that I create magic to make myself happy!
Today was one of those days, my inner demoness came to brightly coloured rainbow life, and it was like magic... All that I needed was time for a little floorshow...  

Believe it or not but this whole picture came about today because I was playing with a new release from FOXCITY - available until June 10th at Kustom9 - that isn't the usual poses or backdrops that they are most well known for, but is actually a Sunset Lamp that casts the most amazing lights to enhance any picture... I've used a rainbow lighting today but there are SO MANY different colours and patterns to play with... 
It was perfect for lighting up my performance as my dark little demonic-self as I danced in a hoop - which is actually a pose from -Extra- - it glittered off my adorable new body suit and lit up the stage... The Bodysuit by the way, is actually a Saturday Sale release from Neverwish comes in various colours with lots of different patterns... Don't miss out on that too!

That Long Drive Home...

Being stuck at home in bed for so long I'm left to think far too much... While I'm trying to put the ideas out of my mind, about how close I came to not being here anymore, it's getting harder to be without my family... I've heard though that Mum and Dad have booked a trip to come over and see me, and it's making everything feel a little better - like a medicine for the soul... 

It's not quite going home and spending time in the UK, which always feels like a chance to heal just by breathing the air - which I don't care what anyone says the air is different in the UK than it is in the Netherlands LOL... 
However, it's still a feeling of coming home, having the chance to be able to give my parents a hug and be in their presence. In RL, I'd be taking a a trip with a car packed with goodies and my favourite plushie - that I've had since I was a tiny baby - but in SL he doesn't exist and this adorable Doodle Pup - from Foxwood for the Saturday Sale this weekend - is a close fit to how he'd look if he was real hehe... 
One of my favourite things in this picture though, is this adorable "Arielle" Crop Top - from Decoy during this weekend's Happy Weekend Sale - and although I've always LOVED Decoy because of it's creative designs and beautiful colour collections, I recently had the honour of being invited to blog for the store too... I'm so excited, and two lots of good news today make me a very happy girl!!

Dear Santa, I can explain...

OK OK so when I did a few things that were a little naughty, and I spent time giving Santa a little gift so he'd empty his sack - lol yes, it was a terrible joke I am well aware of it - but I need to take a moment to step back and have another word with the big man in red... I'll start off as if I'm writing a letter it's easier that way... "Dear Santa, I can explain..."

While relaxing in the evening, looking out over the city landscape, I mulled over my options to get myself off the naughty list that didn't involve me getting further down the list in the first place... Do I beg? Promise I'd be extra good next year? Buy him something extra special?? "Dear Santa, I can explain..."
Dragging myself out of my mind, and back into my apartment, I look at my adorable tree - from Junk Food - pulling my soft fluffy rainbow robe - from miss chelsea - tighter around myself, and sipped my rainbow mocha - from ChicChica...
I let my mind drift to more important things, maybe I'd ask Santa to help with more important things... Maybe a little Pride at Home - such a brilliant raising awareness event in SL that if other people paid a little more heed to, the world might be a better, happier, brighter like my Christmas lights kinda place...

Time for a Wild Pool Party!

 Guess who is back?! That's right it's ME... I'm bak after the much needed break to visit my family in the UK... It;s recharged my batteries and I am ready to start working my little butt off again... 
Though as I'm back I think that it might be a little fun to welcome myself back to RL with a little party. I'll warn you now though, it could get  little wild...

Before any other guests could arrive, my little animal buddies had made themselves very comfortable! The tiger cubs - from JIAN - and the adorable pygmy hippos - from Foxwood - had a great time exploring the pool in our garden while I was setting things up for the arrival of my other guests... I think they seemed to like the awesome Safari Sprinklers - from Krescendo at Man Cave - maybe it reminded them of their natural wild habitats hehe... 
The place was ready... I had a tub of Summer Sodas, ready and chilling from Junk Food, and everything was set for a water fight of epic proportions. The Let's Play! Water Balloon Fight - from peaches -  and I've even pre-filled a couple of buckets of squirt guns - from Junk Food at The Warehouse Sale.

Show me that Neon Smile!

Funny to think that today is Sunday, and not only that it´s the last day of the second month so we're a step closer to Christmas LOL... Isn't that a scary thought, hopefully sooner rather than later life may start to get back to normal, but until then I'm going to just drift off back into my little fantasy world... 
The lights are bright, the sparkles are sparkling and then the neon kicks in and makes it glow... 

I've been hiding in the dark recently, but today I'm going to dance in the light... Lit up with Neon brings a smile to her face - even if it is a smile formed by an Afterparty grin - while even her brand new discounted for the weekend's Saturday Sale "Nyx Glow Jacket" from Psycho Barbie is lit up and on fire... Time for a Night Out!

It's FRIDAY and I've been given the weekend off by my amazing bossman... Although what I am going to do with that time off I have NO IDEA... I keep wishing that I could go for a night on the town, to a bar or a live music event, but in reality would I really go out? As much as I miss going to live gigs, would I really wanna go out or have I become too accustomed to hiding in my PJs? 
Maybe I would have to make the effort? Maybe I should try in SL sometime? Maybe I should hit the clubs and see what happens...

This is NOT a Game of Hide & Seek

 It's the week before Halloween, this time next week we will all be able to trick or treat and get lots of yummy candy... I mean we would if it was something that they did here in Holland, AND that Covid would let us... Still to prepare for this awesome time of year, little Demon Scout Rudh was walking through the halls of her residential dorm asking anyone if they'd like to buy some Demon Scout Candy and rather than getting a treat... She got a very scary Trick... 

Unknown to her, and apparently anyone in the building, there's a crazy man living in room 235... You'd think the hint would have given it away on the wall at the end of the corridor, but NO, anyone can create that kind of graffiti now days! Right?! 
She politely knocked, decked out in her Devil Scout Uniform - from STOIC, which you can see more clearly in the ad which I've added below for the purpose of making it look more clear hehe - and her comfy Dragula Boots - from 1313 Mockingbird Lane - carrying a freshly made, Colourful Halloween Candy Board - available for the Saturday Sale from vespertine - and waited until the door was opened... When the man appeared wearing a mask and holding a knife, she thought for a brief moment that he couldn't find his covid face mask, then he advanced and she ran... Crouching down and hiding around the corner, although she wasn't sure it would work... 
The footsteps were approaching, she was getting more scared by the second, and then as the hand touched her shoulder she let out an ear piercing scream, only to be met by the words "AHHHH GOTCHA, HAPPY HALLOWEEN BABYGIRL!" and the laughter of her father...
I'll give him a Happy Halloween indeed!!!

Picking My First Pumpkin

 I KNOW it's not quiet October yet, but let's face it from now until about Mid November is Halloween Season. So I was second guessing, myself thinking it's WAY too early to think about Pumpkins, but what the hell was I thinking, it's NEVER too early!!! HALLOWEEN IS COMING!! 
So today I decided to go for the first of more than one trips to a pumpkin patch... It was time to start collecting pumpkins to carve... 

I'd been told about a cute little Pumpkin Patch at Fox Hollow, and we'd discussed taking the MC over to have a little field trip so I decided to check it out... Once I was there, what was the harm in checking out the pumpkins... I couldn't really leave without one, it would be SO RUDE! 
Luckily, I found the perfect Pumpkin for the start of my collection and picked it using my handy garden shears - a past group gift from astralia - and posed like the hero of the day to show off my amazing find to no one in particular LOL - thanks to this awesome pose from Extra which is available for the Saturday Sale this week! It should be a pose for a group of three people, but I couldn't find my mates to pose with so I'll add the poster below, but I LOVE that the poses can be use individually too!

The search for Coffee...

 Friday is officially my first day of the week that I'm not having to go out to work in RL... I am SUPER LAZY on days like today, I woke up so late and then lad a lazy lunch, took a long hot shower and have spent the day getting some of the stuff I needed to do done in SL! It's been great... BUT here's the thing... I log into SL and drink my first cuppa coffee while shopping or checking out blogs... DO NOT EXPECT ME TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOU LOL... Before that first cuppa coffee - after which I become more normal and switch to tea - Rudh is a no disturbance zone lol, you message at your own risk... 

I had just woken up this morning and was in search of my first cup of coffee... I must have looked like a bit of a mess lol... Comfortable slouchy clothing - although these new "What's The Tee?" Shirts from Misschevious that are available tomorrow for the Saturday Sale, are super cute and don't deserve to be used as slouchy wear, they could look great all dressed up too! I'm only just awake, I pulled on the wrong glasses - it's hard to see without my reading glasses and in the dark I pulled on my Ananas "Henry's Hands Glasses" instead so I'm blind as a bat... Teddy and I went in search of coffee...

I'm Nicer When I Like My Outfit... Or Am I?!

Have you ever seen that saying "I'm nicer when I like my outfit!" Well, that's how my thoughts are going today. I feel much nicer right now because I like this outfit, and what's funny is that it involves a colour I normally tend to run away from. In fact I think I might actually be starting to like this colour - just don't tell anyone that I said that... 
It just feels cute and girlie, something that I have a craving to feel right now, and well... when you like your outfit, it's great to show it ofr, right?! 

I had two items stashed away in my hoard that I wanted to blog today, but it wasn't really seeming to come together all that well until for some reason I started chewing gum and blew a bubble... Then it seemed like a natural look... Like something that a somewhat slutty high-school girl may wear in the movies perhaps?!
