Rituals for Salvage and Enchantment

Today has been a day off for me, and you can tell that it's been a day off because I've had a chance to get very creative and make something magical when it comes to blogging... Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of the things that I share here but there are some days when I feel like the magic is just that little more magical... 
It's getting magically cold, some might say somewhat Frostbitten and more than a little salvaged... Magically cold and collected from salvaged things... 

A Frozen Ritualist - which is actually the name of the tattoo from AURO, that you can get your hands on at the Frostbitten Enchantment Graveyard - was performing a Ritual - in a backdrop from FOXCITY - involving a mirror and a very large Tsarknife - from FOE, available now at Salvage Station - but ended up getting herself Possessed... Boken glass from the mirror went everywhere, including being embedded into her chest... Luckily she's magical and can withstand the pain...

Jewels From Junk!

It has been a long week already and today should have been my day off, and I ended up at work. Luckilly I have a day off on Wednesday so I get two weekends this week kinda sorta... 
I have so much to do in the house, I've been a little lax and needing some time to catch up... I do also want to let my mind wander off to things that aren't helping me feel better. My mum is on my mind, she's in hospital and I'm worried without being able to see her face to face... Hence why today I'm thinking about making something to make her smile... 

My mum is a jeweller, she has been one for about 50 years, and what started as a Saturday job at a local family jewellery store saw her getting a degree in gemology with a specialisation in diamonds... She's BRILLIANT at just looking at a gemstone and saying if it's real or not... 
I was rooting around in the house and randomly decided to become a bit of a Junk Jeweler - thanks to a set released by random.Matter at Salvage Station, that runs until November 30th - so I've pulled some of my junk out to make the things, I've lit a few Vintage Oil Candles - which are a gorgeous release from Candle & Cauldron at Enchanment by the way - and grabbed a box of Skeleton Grahams - from Junk Food - that I had left over from Halloween and along with my BitterSync - from AxisMundi - Robot buddies, I am going to learn how to make something gorgeous out of trash...

The Wolves and The Enchanted Snowman

There is still a lot of interesting things going on in the Enchantment's Frostbitten Graveyard. The inhabitants have come out to play in full force, and their awakening has drawn in more friends to explore the frostbitten landscape... For some reason a snowy graveyard always feels a little Dickensian in it's drama to me, maybe that's just my love of the Victorian Gothic ghost stories perhaps, but I love the frostbitten temperatures at this time of year... 

Since the fresh snow has now coated the Lost Cemetary - an older but still amazing backdrop from K&S - leaving it looking a little Frostbitten - thanks to items created by InkMe, for this month's Enchantment - it seems that the cemeteries inhabitants have been busy building snowmen that may be a little darker than outer appearances would have you believe... The snowman whose eyes seem to glow and has a strange set of roots that seem a a little rotten... Something is amiss with that snowman, I guess that is why the Wild Wolves - a new release from Aardvark available until December 8th at ACCESS - are being fairly cautious around it... 
The protector of the wolves is a guardian of Blind Faith - a headdress from MoonSha, available at Enchantment - but she will hav to work some serious magic to rid this poor little snowman of whatever magic is making him crazy...

Enchanting Little Mushrooms

Today has been crap but tomorrow is my day off so I'll be able to take things a little easier for a change. I'm going to spend the day relaxing doing not a lot and reading a lot more... I don't want to think about anything, I just want to turn my brain off and not have to deal with people or things... A fantasy world is the place I need to be... 

I'll keep it short and sweet today because frankly I am already falling asleep. Its making me see things that aren't real... Pretty fantasy things like the inhabitants of Elderbloom Courtyard - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - where the mushroom folk live happily... Princess in the Castle

I often dreamt of being a Disney Princess when I was younger... I wanted to be Ariel because mermaids were freaking cool... Now days I feel more like one of the villains, I'm thinking Ursula or Yzma would be more my style, and I guess if I HAD to be a princess with legs I might also go for someone with a bit more sass, maybe someone like Merida... Either that or I'd eschew the whole Disney Princess idea, and go for someone that lives in a cold palace, one that looks out onto a frozen graveyard where I can make ghostly friends like those in this round of Enchantment... 

The castle hallways are often cold and drafty, but next to a frozen graveyard, it feels like the ice has taken over the walls... Our little princess likes to try and keep things a little warmer with lots of plush furnishings and wall coverings, but even though the candles that light the corridors give off a little heat it's never warm unless you are in front of a roaring fire... Long dresses and furs it has to be, just to keep the chill from your bones... It'sall the perks of being a princess when her mother is a Snow Queen, and life although cold is fu of Enchantment...

A Guardian of the Winter Realm

Enchantment is more than just a feeling, it's a total state of mind and the magic of a true enchantment is wonderful... Every now and then in Second Life a magical Enchantment comes to life and brings with it stories of magic, mystism and wonder... If you listen closely and take a peek through the gates of the graveyard you may see this month's magic sparkling in the snow... 
This month's magical enchantment is a tale of a young man's new found family of spirits in the graveyard and his troubles when dealing with both the living and the dead... It's a tale that could be true for real life right now, but I think it is time we slip through the gates to see what magic is occurring... 

As we cross the bridge over the Snow Path - a backdrop from Saintstreet, available now until November 30th at Enchantment's Frostbitten event - and head toward the Winter Realm Archway - by Tirrany Designs - we have to be careful. There are spirits that will jump out of the shadows and some of them are a little unhinged - like the pose set from -Extra-  that I am using here - just like the Lich Hollow - a head and skin set from BeSpoke - who is covered in ice with frozen wings... The magic is radiating from this monstrous fae, a protector of the graveyard...

Dark Fae Fights

I needed a little bit of magic today, the last two days have been chaos and I have two more to come... It's not long now until Eurovision and that gives me an evening of cheesy entertainment to look forward to...
Since I've been tired and ready to murder people that get in my way, so unfortunately it's only dark magic that I could summon...  

The Dark Fae that I have discovered today is the Bone Warrior, decorated in furs - thanks to the amazing set from Faunus which includes shoulder pads, as well as the crown, necklace, and sword worn here - and a touch of darkness with her Witchdoctor vibes... The only problem is that when she's about to face off the threats, her Dire Wolf Stag companions get a little boistrous and have been known to cut her with their razor sharp claws...

A Fairy Bath in the Woods!

Sunday's have always been referred to as Bath Night in my house.. It goes back to when I was a kid and we had to get ready for school on Monday morning. It doesn't mean that I only bath once a week, as I've heard from some random idiot that I shared this story with in the past, because we in fact DO shower more than once a week in this part of Europe - he was convinced that we didn't wash lol - but it's kinda stuck that we always jokingly say it's bath night... 

In Rudh's little corner of the world it's also bathnight, but because she's always a little different and today she's in fae form and when the fae have a bath they have to do something a little different... 
There's not that many safe places for the fairies to have a bath because they are so little they can be washed away easily... Down by the Babbling Brooks - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - there is a little Fairy Glade - filled with ruins and candles from the Enchantment of Simply Shelby - where the big people have created the perfect bath space for a little fae... All the water is channelled through a Teapot Fountain - which is a current group gift from MadPea - it's warmed in the teapot through magic which then pours out the spout to make for the perfect fae bath...

Clockwork Angel

The passing of time can be seen as both a good and bad thing... 
When I was a kid, I wanted to be a grown up, now I'm realising that this desire is something that I wish I could turn the clock back on so I could be a kid again... I find myself clock watching to get through the day faster, though funnily enough when I stop the day always seems to go faster... The years seem to fly by faster now that I'm older, it's already MAY where the heck has this year gone... Time is a strangely wonderful thing... 

Father Time is one of the oldest beings in the Universe. He isn't alone in the Cathedral Halls, and the Clockwork Apses - a backdrop from THE ESCHATON - that it contains. He surrounds himself with the Golden Kronos Girls... The Vampire's New Lady

There is a LOT of drama taking place in SL at the moment as a revelation has been made within a RL article about ageplay at the highest level of SL organization, the drama seems very justified as residents are standing up for what's right and demanding change... It's great to see that people are rallying together against this cause and not fighting on opposing arguements...
Though it's got me on edge, worrying about the bad that may come our way, my anxiety is high when I worry about what could happen to my little corner of online magic... I need to do something simply creative, something to spread a little love and colour and maybe a little happiness... 

I feel like I'm going a little batty, it's bonkers in SL at the moment and who knows where this whole thing will end up, but I want to spread a little love, and I'm heading into the attic... I've decided to approach the vampire bats - from Vizarte - who may be able to direct her to their master so she can be Bitten - shown by the Tristan Flinders - and turn into the gorgeous WereBat - a release from Forest Fantasy Store at the Midnight Requiem round of Enchantment - that matches with the way her mind is feeling... 
Of course, her bat form was more than a little appealing to the vampire master, in her dazzling Serafina Gown - from Astralia - in it's sheer silk delicacy. He instantly wanted to woo, wanted her for his bride and make sure she was Taken - which is actually a pose set name from Fashiowl - and that started with a HUGE bouquet of two dozen roses - from hive...

Wandering into the Four Moons

I'm having one of those weeks where everything is going wrong, I've been feeling shit both physically and more worryingly emotionally for a while and I think I'm about to hit breaking point, so if I suddenly disappear then you know why... 
I've tried to find a way to bring myself out of the funky mood, I decided that I needed to slip off into a fantasy world, on an adventure... Hopefully I'll find my way back... Hopefully getting into a fantasy character will help... 

Usually when I find the inner fairy versions of myself, I find myself getting happy...I also find myself getting happy hen I create a story that leads me on an adventure. I was being lead into the wilds of the Four Moons - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - fantasy forest by some of my Garden Friends - an older release from Aardvark that has been one of my favourites for a LONG time - although they seemed a little nervous once they saw the sign...

An Enchanting Mermaid Dance

 My happy place always tends to be something fantastical. I'venever been very good at straight up, look-of-the-day kinda posts like some of my blogging buddies, and even though I ALWAYS love what I post, I know not all of them will please everyone. Sometimes I wonder if I'm too random and all over the place for most people, you never know what kind of picture you'll see escape my mind... 
Today it was something a little magical and aquatic... Enchantment has opened it's doors to the Mer Kingdom, and if you know me at all you should know that I love to create pretty Mermaids and let them swim through my mind as a happy place... 

Although many of my mermaids tend to look similar, they should as they are from the same family tree considering they all drop out of my mind... I still love to bring them to the surface and allow everyone to watch them dance under the waves, bubbles and fishies swirling along in the dance... 
She's dressed up for a party to dance, wearing her pearls and tiaras, but its the bigger that is the most special... The biggest of the tiara's was a special gift, a Mermaid Headpiece fit for a dancing queen - made by Boutique #187 exclusively at Enchantment until December 2nd - and it definitely enhances her mermaid vibes...

Trouble in Oz

I've finally had a day off and it's been an amazing chance to relax, unwind and let my brain have a bit of a rest. While doing that I've had plenty of time, amid doing all of the chores, to sit down, log in and let my imagination soar with a day of picture taking... 
While I sat and let my mind drift off, Rudh ended up on one of her magical adventures... This time she was taken to the magical land of Oz, where the road glitters gold in the sunlight and the cities are made of emeralds... It was there, she bumped into some interesting characters, and caused more than a small national crisis... 

My trip to the wonderful world of Oz seemed to be going smoothly until the house that I was riding in came crash landing into the sleep inducing poppy field. I'd parked my house on the edge of the Yellow Brick Road - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis that is available September 2nd at Enchantment - but my parking hadn't been as good as I'd hoped... I did something terrible... I crashed my house onto the owner of the Ruby Red Slippers... It wasn't a witch... I LANDED ON DOROTHY!!!! 
She'd been on a walk with the Rudh Scarecrow and Rudh Tin Woman... They did not look too happy. Scarecrow went into a panic, arms out running around in circles crying "What do we do? What do we do?", so much for her having gotten a brain from Oz. Medicines against the Nightmares

I am tired, exhausted almost and no one seems, including myself, seems to be able to do anything about it... I've hada draining few weeks, since Easter, and even though things are slowly beginning to calm down at work and in my home life too, there are still plenty of things that I cannot seem to get myself through... It's like I'm being taunted and followed around by my nightmares that I can't make go away or even reduce in size... 
I need a break, I need somewhere quiet and failing the chance that I'm going to be able to go on holiday any time soon, I might have to take slightly more extreme measures... 

I have so many nightmare monsters - which are in fact Eerie Shadow Monsters from Aardvark, available now at Enchantment - following me around, floating through the corridors of my mind and they seem to come and go depending on where my mind and what is focusing on at any time... I've got nightmares that are work related some bad and another sad, I've got a nightmare of losing a friend since I heard about his health issues, my PC is giving me grief and I'm a little jealous that my sister is able to be at home visiting my parents... These nightmares swirl around me, I just want something to stop my brain from being active... I might have to find my own way to take a break, maybe a stay in a hospital where they give you a jacket that's a hug in a piece of clothing... This place seems nice, the Botox Bots - from Tardfish at Equal10 - fly around each patient as a little nurse to ensure the calming drugs are administered correctly, whilst they keep the monsters at bay...

Spring Fairy holds the Key

I'm still not a happy bunny as my computer is still something that HellBone is slowly working on fixing, I'm just having to test my skills and try to use Hell's computer to take some pictures are get my blogging caught up on... I needed to get some things done, and this was the only way, I'm not sure that I am overly happy with the results, but we'll get things back to the way that they should be... 
I wanted to do something a little magical and take my mind off everything real life that is bringing me down, and let my inner fairy out to play... I used to convince myself I was a mermaid at heart but I think recently that may have shifted, now I feel much more confident in a pair of sparkly wings full of colour and magic... 

All of the seasons have their own magical feelings, and each of them is remarkable in their own way, but for some reason Spring seems to be more magical than most seasons. It's the time when things come to life, the flowers bloom and the sun starts to warm up... I love the sun this time of the year, it's warming without burning, and the light dances in pretty sparkling rays... 
The Spring Fairy dances through the light beams assisting the flowers to sprout, they come out all over her skin, today it just happens to be daisies, and dancing with her adorable little butterfly buddies - from MishMish - all the while she guards the keys in her Keys Antlers - available until June 3rd at Enchantment from Boutique #187 - these are the keys to the secret garden that she protects with her magic...

The Witch Doctor and Her Pets

I needed to get away from the Valentines prettiness, I needed to do something a little different. I wanted to let my mind slip away into a fantasy place, I needed to let my mind wander into an Enchantment that's far away from the Valentines magic... I'm on an adventure into the jungle to find myself a Witch Doctor... 

There's a Fantasy Oasis - a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - in the middle of the jungle, where the leopards congregate around their mistress... The malevolent looking Witch Doctor - an outfit from !dM deviousMinds at Enchantment this month - who can summon the wild cats spirits and guide them as her minions in times of need... It's a beautiful realtionship, in a serene place, but when approaching use care. There is malice and danger within the forest glade...

Rock Angels and the Escalator to Heaven

Home after work, relaxing on the sofa after a bowl full of dinner and feeling myself dozing in and out of sleep. I haven't been sleeping well since the heat and having stomach pain, but it's finally cooling down a little and so I'm enjoying some peace on the couch. 
While my mind drifts in and out of snoozeville, I could hear some music in the background but it was only as I closed my eyes and noticed that a twisted little angellic version of Rudh was showing me the latest upgrades to the stairway to heaven... It's been modernized, it's an escalator now... 

Not sure that the Led Zepellin song would have quite the same ring to it if it was an escalator to heaven - like the backdrop from FOXCITY - although you can't really blame them for updating since everything is modernizing these days... 
Everything is modernizing and becoming more accepting, even the angels are upgraded and allowed to style themselves... Rudh as an angel is mixing her styles together, pretty sparkles like the beautiful sparkles - from random.Matter - around her neck and in her ears. She's gone a little rock chick with the most brilliant make up of Enchantment proportions - a gorgeous welcome back release from Bella Elephante at Enchantment, worn with a set of lipstick called Ember - and spiked her Galaxy Halo - from Salem's Lot - that perfectly matches her Seraph Wings - from Paper Antler. 
Heaven's had a make-over, colours are in, white is out. The Rock Angels are taking over...

Dancing the Flutterby Flutter

I have to admit something... At the moment I seem to find myself being that a little addicted to Butterflies... They seem to be floating all around my garden, I have lots of budlea, and hydrangeas, and because I can't get enough of them, LOADS of Sunflowers... 

In Second Life I seem to be just as addicted to the Fluttery Friends - which I've shown numerous times already but they are from Quills & Curiosities at Enchantment - and I cant wait to dance with them in the Secret Garden - a backdrop from Synnergy. I've joined them in their fluttery dance. I've adorned myself with flowers - these incredible Warder's Branches, that are also from Quills & Curiosities at Enchantment - and the most glamorous of Gaia outfits - from miss chelsea... 
Though I think the best and most amazing part of my outfit to dance with the butterflies, has to be my beautiful new Butterfly markings. These beautiful markings come in multiple jewel like colours are from the Forest Fantasy Store and there are so many colour combinations, multiple wing sizes and antenna and a staff to complete the look... Simply gorgeous and so very glam for any butterfly babe...

Flutters at the Flower Market

It's been such a hot few days here, and I worked my ass off all weekend, so today I've been able to finally able to take a break and relax a little bit. I really hope that things cool down here so that I don't have to work in heat like that again. 
Today has been fairly relaxing, I've done a few things around the house, taking my time with them while trying to stay cool, and even went to the market. I was so tempted to get some flowers, there are SO many beautiful flowers and they looked so happy... I know they'd wilt at home... 

One of my favourite things in my SL home has to be the little market area that I've set up... I wanted something pretty to decorate the space, and since I love flowers, the flower market seemed to fall together naturally... SO MANY FLOWERS, and a touch of magic... I'd done some shopping, I'd bought a paper and some bread and fruits but the colours of the flowers, and the flashing flickers of colours drew me in. The beautiful Fluttery Friends - a hunt item from Quills & Curiosities, available until August 31st at Enchantment - were enjoying the gorgeous flowers too... What a beautiful Flower Shop - a pose set from Fashiowl helped with this picture set up - and well once hooked, I was buying flowers LOL...

Waking the Mushroom Fae!

It's so freaking hot today, another bloody heatwave and I'm desperate to get out of the heat. My office is under a flat roof, and there's no avoiding the heat upstairs, so I'm hiding down in a cave of my living room with everything closed. 
I'm craving Autumn, I want the cool crisp air, the feeling of leaves falling and that beautiful frost that settles over the ground I want the cold air, and the fact that I need to wrap up warm and snuggly... 
I've heard that things are changing, the fairy folk are preparing for their winter sleep whilst others are starting to wake... It's almost the time of the Autumn Fae... 

In the deepest, darkest parts of the forest, by the dark pond - a backdrop from Synnergy - there is a perfect environment for the hiding place for the Mushroom Fae. These pretty little dark fae need dark damp places just like their moisture loving fungal friends... These pretty little Autumn Fae decorate themselves with their favourite mushrooms, some are into the red with spots, others like the frills that grow on trees and the Rudhie version who loves the cute little brown button cups... She loves them so much they adorn her body - thanks to the amazing new release from Quills & Curiosities at the soon to open round of Enchantment - you'll have to excuse her mess though, she's just waking up from her Summer Slumber...
