Sorry, but I'm Keeping the Ring!

It's almost the month of Love, well technically unlike Christmas or Halloween, Valentine's shouldn't get a whole month as it's halfway through and therefore we suffer less with it perhaps?! I shouldn't complain, I've had HellBone for the last 15 Valentine's but meh, it's such a boring holiday lol... 
All that trouble rejecting the (Non) Valentines that I get every year - it makes me laugh since I NEVER actually get one, even from the hubby - but it's such a chore LOL... I might as well get started early... 

Now I am no fool, I don't need all of these romantic gestures and gifts, BUT since the trouble was taken to choose and give me these things, it would be rude of me not to keep them and put them to good use...

Baby Snowflakes...

Just the other day, the Snow Fae were here spreading their various different flakes around - not just in RL but in SLtoo - and as much as I like looking at the snow I'm always terrified of the fact that I might slip and hurt myself. Let's face it, my track record for NOT falling on the ice is a terrible one... 
Yet all of this brand new snowfall, is causing the birth's of so many brand new baby snowflakes... Each one pretty, sparkling and soft, babies to bring happiness to the winter days... 

On the edge of the wintery forest, one of the prettier, softer snowflake faes is there to make sure that these brand new baby snowflakes are taught to dance in the breeze. The super soft snowflake - the fatpack exclusive in the Xmas Huggables from vespertine at Kustom9 - is one of the newest babies to be created... The light Snow Fae are very protective of the new flake babies, wrapping them in a veil of their dancing bretheren. DON'T MOVE?! Don't disturb the cat!

I've been working at home today and I love it on days like that when I can just laze in my snuggly jammies and lounge a little while I work. It's lovely, lay days like this that make a girl happy... 
It's not only me that is happy because of this situation... My fur babies have decided to use this as a good time to treat mummy like a happy and comfy piece of furniture... 

The puppy was happy to lounge on my feet and keep them warm, but it was the cat tht decided that she'd use my lap as her personal bed for the day... I love it, but there is only ONE huge problem with that. If you're a pet owner, especially if you have cats, you know that once they sleep then you MUST NOT MOVE THEM! You end up becoming a piece of the furniture, like a comfortable chair - a Chairperson from Ananas at Kustom9 if you will - and even though you go numb and cannot move, it's a happy feeling... 
Oh and one more thing... Enjoy the peek into my little living room hehe..

Marshmallows at the Camp Fire

Today was a day off for me, I was able to lay back and take things a little easy... I did a little shopping in SL, and found some time to sort some of my hugely messy inventory, then I parked my butt in front of a roaring campfire and decided that the garden was the perfect place to go 'glamping'... It's closer to my own toilet than camping anywhere else would be, and I do so prefer to use my own loo... 

Of course, because Rudh is a diva, she doesn't do regular camping... I've also been campling just the once in RL and I'd never do that again, I hated every moment of it lol... So when she decided to go camping it had to be done in a less camping and more glamping kinda way! A full-sized bed in a Backcountry Tent - from Trompe Loeil - and some comfy Campin Chairs - from Junk Food - close to the fire as she both watched in awe and dodged the fireflies that were freed from the Fairy Jars to make the light twinkle!
While we're on the subject of Junk Food though, have you tried their delicious Marshmallows? They are perfect for toasting around the campfire...

Fish for Lunch?

 Finally done having to go out into the world for the week, I´m done with work and it´s time to just start relaxing... What should I do with my weekend, a hobby of sorts... Knitting, colouring, cooking? What shall I do... OOOOH how about fishing?! It's peaceful, allows for lots of quiet time and well... Fish for dinner?

Hunting and Toasting Marshmallows

On the Beach

Summer seems to be finally on it's way in, and although I'm REALLY not a huge fan of summer - I don't like it when it gets hot - there are perks to the long daylight hours and sitting in front of a really big fan! I LOVE being able to play around on the beach with Rudh, although in RL I'd much prefer it when there's no one around like in the middle of a storm. 

Yet in SL there is nothing better than a day at the beach in a teeny bikini building sandcastles with a few friends hehe... 

Today, the friends that I took to the beach just happened to be of the furry variety... Two of my Jian made, beach loving boys - a 'dorable Dane and Beach Party Pointers - and both seem to be having fun on the beach, giving me enough time to build an epic sandcastle... 

I bought some lovely beach furniture with me, so that when I'm done building the castle I can lay back and drink a nice cold beer - actually the furniture and the bikini are both items from a gacha collection created by Petite Mort for the still running round of The Gacha Garden, which is open until May 31st so you have a few more days, and there are bikinis in various colours as well as the furniture... It's very comfy to sit in and drink a beer...

Bohemian Spring

A few days ago, the little living dead doll in me went Easter Egg Hunting over at the Witchwood sim... It was an adorably fun little hunt, with some very pretty spring time clothes and accessories from the stores that Witchwood calls home... Spring iz sprung,

the grass is riz! 

I wonder where the birdies is! 

Technically the rhyme is "boidies" that heavily accented way of saying birdies, but my mother always used to say it like birdies so it's what stuck with me, and what pops into my head every Spring. It's officially the Spring Season here and it's brought with it some gorgeous weather and the sounds of birds, and splashes of colourful flowers. Yet, due to the virus we're all stuck inside, not that it's a bad thing but we're missing out on that gorgeous spring sensation! The time when new life comes crashing in around us with a cacophony of colours, sounds and smells! I'm missing being outside, can you tell?! 
For now at least I guess we're lucky that we can spend time in SL and enjoy those pretty Spring time things...

A New Home with a Native Spirit

HellBone and I have been considering moving in RL... It is something that is being discussed but not something that's anywhere near set in stone, and the feeling is already making me very nervous. Why can't it just be more simple like it is in SL to contemplate a move? Some people change their house every week, and I LOVE moving into a new SL house when I can... 

There's less stress involved I suppose, less packing and unpacking is involved and a heck of a lot less chaos... I mean if you want to move in SL it's easy right? 
I will admit though that I LOVE moving into a new house in SL. Finding the perfect new dream home, or even just a temporary place until you get everything unpacked and looking pretty and then move on. 
I've thrown some of my new Native Spirit furniture - from the gacha collection by Petite Mort at Imaginarium - into my new summer guest house - from Trompe Loeil - and am slowly settling in. Even the cat seems to like it here! 
I just wonder how long it will last before I get cabin fever and need to move again hehe...

Excavations in the Desert

I let my mind wander away to far away places today... Drifting back to thoughts of the course that I studied during my days at University, the days when I had aspirations of becoming a world renowned archaeologist. Running excavations in far flung places and finding the most amazing reminders of the past... My mind wandered, and I ended up in a beautiful desert location, with an excavation to find the fossils of an unknown dinosaur... 

I know that Archaeology is human, and Paleontology is Dinosaur - but I've been rewatching the old episodes of Friends so blame Ross - but I fell in love with the way that my excavation site started to come to life... Like something out of the old photographs of when Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon excavated for Tutankhamun!
The site was actually a combination of things to give it that amazingly - almost Moroccan - feeling... After the Trompe Loeil Teigen Glamping Tent was set up, I threw so many items from the Petite Mort Zingara Collection around to make it feel soft and cosy, whilst remaining cool and shaded! Lastly, and well because it wouldn't be a good excavation without a few tools, I added some of the Fossil Hunter collection from Consignment and it felt perfect... Ready! 
All it needed was a cute and light outfit and I was ready... Thank you Belle Epoque - for the Anne dress -  and Lassitude & Ennui - for these awesome boots!!!

When the family is away...

So it's been a little quiet around the Gators MC today, which in so many ways is GREAT. I love having the family around but sometimes, it's nice to just have a little time to myself to hide away and do things that make me feel good about myself. It started with some picture taking, then some gentle inventory sorting and finally PJ time and playing games on my phone, which thanks to some rather wandering hands may or may not have become something else LOL... 

Get your minds out of the gutter, I was behaving watching cooking videos on Youtube - at least that's the story I'm telling and sticking to!
It was fun to just laze around on my bed, getting hungry watching those mouth watering videos - hehe! That was until I got so into the video, that I almost fell off the bed!

Wandering through Witchwood

I love a good Lazy Sunday... The kind where you can laze around and do a few chores or read a book all day... It's what Sundays were made for and I love it whenever I get the chance to use those days somewhat unwisely... Spending the whole day reading and hiding under a warm cosy blanket! 
On the off chance though, you decide to crawl out of hiding to go do things where you may find people... I have a suggestion... The Witchwood Boho Bliss Hunt!!! Witchwood is the home of Petite Mort and Oubliette, and this hunt showcases the best of both of these brands...

New York Shopping

It's crazy scary how little time there is left until the big day that is Christmas day arrives... This time next week will be Christmas Eve and then we will all have to go to sleep soon as the fat man will be making his rounds... 
I know that some people wait until the last minute to get their shopping done, but I like to have everything ready way before Christmas... I have a couple more things to get for my SL parents and then I'm DONE!!! Time to get my lazy butt shopping...

Getting Christmas Crafty!

Back to work... Like a good little worker bee! Busy making pretty gifts for anyone buying cheeses for Christmas!
So inspired was I that when I got home I decided to dig through my arts and crafts stuff... it's time to get Christmas Crafty!

Cute little tree - from Ariskea - will be help with making some pine wreaths, a bag of coal so I have a gift for my Daddy at the ready - thanks to Dust Bunny - but cookies ready for my Mommas too - thanks to Ayla at The Arcade - and some Arts and Crafts supplies from Star Sugar... OH AND I cannot forget a delicious cup of cocoa with a Kit Kut for when I need to take a break, since I have to follow the rule stated on my brand new Petite Mort Winter Chill Out set.

The Arrival of the Snow Queen

The winds are changing, and for many places the snow is falling - the time of the coldest days has arrived and that makes me a happier bunny since I'm not a fan of summer heat. 
I love the way that snow sparkles when it's crisp and fresh, and I LOVE the sound of the stillness when the snow covers the ground... The sharpness as you breathe in the cold air and a need to wrap up in a million layers feels like heaven... So things are going to start getting a little chilly looking here for a while and we're starting with a royal visit from the Snow Queen to open the season... 

She's made a visit to the beautiful island that is Moochie - YES the Moochie that was Halloween styled until very recently but 'Tis the Season - with the sounds of Disney's Frozen echoing through my headset, it's an Enchantment... 
The theme of Enchantment this month is the Snow Queen - which is actually the background story used by Disney when they created their Frozen story line...
The Snow Queen is nothing like Elsa however, she's definitely one with more of a dark side, and the only similarity between her and the Disney version is the similar colour of her Crystal Ballgown... The Crystal Ballgowns are brand new releases from Petite Mort for the new round of Enchantment, and it works perfectly with the Fur Stole and Muff sets that have been released by the store at the event too... Keeping the chill from the chilliest shoulders in Fairyland. 
It appears that while she's working some Winter magic, she's borrowed the Ice Queen Sceptre of her Narnian cousin! The Ice Queen Sceptre has been created by Fika - which is also available at Enchantment - and it's gorgeous! It comes with three different bento hold poses, a collection of colours and even pulsing glows...

Furniture for the Royals

It's been a while since I did something that was pretty without having hints of the dark and macabre... I blame the fact that it's seemingly more accepted to be dark and scary when it's Halloween season, so today I'm doing something very girlie, a touch of the princess in me is showing, and she's living in the luxurious settings she deserves. although the rebel in her can't be totally subdued as she smokes a sneaky cigarette!

The life of luxury is partly due to the very sumptuous furnishings of the Cygnus Gacha Collection from Petite Mort - which is currently available at The Gacha Garden - it's a gorgeous and luxurious collection that comes in both blues - shown here - and gold. There's a beautiful chandelier too which is too high to be seen, I love that sumptuous royal feel!

I'm Back... What Should I Wear?

After a few days recuperation, I find myself getting stir crazy at laying in bed, and as I'm sore but now able to move without pain it's time I found myself again... Starting slowly, I'm going to get back into life, starting with something that helps me whenever I'm down... BLOGGING! 
It's been so long, feels like too long, and right now I am floundering, I don't even know where to start... 

It's never a bad thing to have choice in what to play with... There are just too many pretty things out there at the moment, so too much choice seems to be a little bit of a bad thing for me... My clothing rack is full of lots of new pretties that I've gotten my grubby little hands on, and now I'm spoilt for choice LOL... There's a problem there somewhere right?! LOL... 
Luckily, while she's picking and choosing what she wants to wear she has the most adorable little Effie Bandeau Top and Highwaist Knickers - from Petite Mort at this month's round of AnyBody -  but for now, can anyone tell me what to wear?! Someone? Anyone? No?!

Back at Home but not yet better!

If you've ever had Gall Stones, then you will know how I am feeling right about now... After a very scary week of being rushed into the hospital, and put through an emergency operation to remove not just 4 LARGE gall stones, but also my gall bladder which had become infected meaning I had to have a drain in my side so that any toxic liquids could escape, I am finally back at home... 

I'm feeling a little worse for wear... I definitely won't be back up to speed any time soon, BUT for now I'm HOME!!! That should help with the recovery process! I don't think I'll be able to do much in the way of blogging for a bit, but I wanted to at least let everyone know that I'm alive, I'm working on getting better and I miss everyone! 
Luckily in SL, Rudh has the perfect new bedroom in which to hide from the world until she feels well enough to go out and rock out again! A gorgeous set from Petite Mort called "Wanderlust" that is available as a gacha collection from The Imaginarium until September 30th. It's soft, feminine and has a yearning for adventure, but right now I think that the only adventure I'll get is in the pages of a book or behind my eyelids... Speaking of which it's time for me to lay down again, but I will be back soon, I promise!

Books on Sundays

Sundays are my favourite days for being lazy... Weekends are great that they come in days of 2, one for getting stuff done and having some fun, and a second for being a lazybutt before the perils of work the next day. I don't like doing anything on a Sunday, no chores, no crazy busy stuff, just relaxing... Breakfast on a tray, a good book, and well... that sounds like a perfect Lazy Sunday to me! 

The book I'm reading at the moment - one called The Finisher by David Baldacci - is captivating my attention, meaning it's taking me far too long to write anything that makes sense today. Though I need to find just a few minutes to show you my gorgeous new furniture collection. The set is soon to be released, you have to wait until August 1st I'm afraid, so I'm just giving you a little taster of what's to come. It's a new release from Petite Mort for the upcoming round of The Gacha Garden called Modern Bungalow. It feels like the perfect set for a modern yet cosy country style home. Everything in the photo is included in the gacha collection besides the tray and the book, which are dust bunny releases, and the house, which is from Trompe Loeil, but they add just a little extra to my feeling of a lazy Sunday!
Now if you'll excuse me, my book is calling my name...
