Blog Hero... Week 11

It would seem that Miss Shay has a love of the Eurovision Song Contest, as this week for the Blog Hero she leads us back there to a rather huge power ballad. Now don't get me wrong I love the Eurovision, every year it is fun to sit and watch usually with a face that looks like an Edvard Munch follow up to the Scream... The outfits alone, not to mention the weird backing dancers, cause this look of awe mixed with shock horror mixed with crazy laughter, though that could be the copious amounts of drink that you have to down to actually manage to get through the event.
Yet Fledge and I were discussing this song, and I have to agree with her it doesn't instantly make me think that it is from Azerbijan, it seems to me like one of those big power ballads that certain American singers can pull off,  Whitney Houston is a classic example! Yet it is definitely better than some of the recent Eurovision "songs" - Scooch entered the same year as this (watch it here), I warn you, watch at your own risk!
Week Eleven's song... Safura - Drip Drop
Tell me where have you been?
Why are you late?
You smell like lipstick, again
Come on, answer my question, say something
Why are you acting out? Or say it’s in my head
O.K. so my photo doesn't exactly link to the lyrics but it fits the feel of the song as a whole... I will also say that the song is about doubting your partner and crying about it... Hell says that he wouldn't and couldn't ever hurt me in this way and so I was only allowed to use a picture of him if I said so in the post. I just heard the song and thought crying in the rain after a fight, this song really should be used as some break up song in a teen movie LOL... It really would fit the bill!!!

Seraphim SL has a new blogger...

*Stands up at the local addicts meeting and says* "Hello Everybody, My name is Rudhmellowen Laguna, and I am a shopaholic"
I admit it, and to be honest I am sure a LOT of people in SL will agree that it does bring out the inner shopaholic in all of us, even Hell - a guy who in RL HATES to go shopping - will spend hours wandering around car and bike parts stores. I love the fact that in SL I can buy a complete new outfit for the same price as a RL loaf of bread costs, I love the fact that in SL a fat girl like me can enjoy dressing in clothes that in RL I wouldn't dream of even looking at twice, though sometimes I get to be a lazy shopper. At the weekend and even during the week there are any number of awesome events starting up, I could go and visit them all, but why bother when there are so many good blogs that do the running around for you - lol see lazy...
I follow a LOT of these kind of sites, but recently I have found myself getting a little bored in SL - SHOCK HORROR, bored in SL, it is a crazy notion - when I noticed that one of these sites I follow was looking for bloggers... I applied and I'm IN!!!!
I thought the work wouldn't be too hard, boy was I wrong... It is a LOT harder than it looks, and I commend all of the staff on doing so many events as they do every week. I've been allotted two events now, and love the fact I can help people with their shopping addiction...
Anyway, I am now helping to make the team at Seraphim into the Dirty Dozen! My first post was for The Fashion Garrett, and YAY I AM WORKING FOR A BLOG I LOVE... I will never get bored now, hehe!!

E is for EXCELLENT!! - Alphabet Time

E could also be for Emily, but pushing RL aside, I worked on this week's letter. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease in which this outfit came together, I had been thinking that E might be one of the harder ones, yet I was actually relieved to find that E was covered by a good range of stores. I had options for Hair, options for Clothing, options for Shoes and even options for Jewellery, so I was pretty pleased to pick and choose my look. Although, the outfit I actually came up with, was a fairly unusual colour for me, I blame it on the hat LOL! I like the hat!
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
 What E's did I dig outta my wardrobe;
Hair: [ELIKATIRA] - Frost
Necklace: Kosh - ENIGMA
Top: E! ECLECTIC APPAREL - Sparkling Dress (past hunt prize)
Sleeves: [Sassy Kitty Designs ] (now SAKIDE) - ELBOW WOOLEN
Bracelet: EDGE GRAFICA - 37 bracelet
Pants: [Cynful] - EVE BRITCHES
Shoes: SLink - ECHO HEELS

I know that it isn't Exile hair that I am wearing for this photo, but I chose Exile as my E store because I love the variety of hair that is set out each week here. Styles seem to vary in every release, more so than releases from other hair stores that regularly create new products. I love the colour options that come with these styles too, although normally you'll find me in black hair hehe...

52 Weeks of Colour - Week 47!

Apparently last week Luna had said in the group about not being able to style a house, HONESTLY I HAD NO IDEA!!! When the brick colour came up again I just searched on Marketplace and voila... HOW COULD I RESIST?! I honestly thought people would just ignore it and think it was dumb, but I am glad so many people liked it hehe... Thanks everyone.
This week though was dilemma time again, the colour title was nothing like the colour of the swatch I thought it should be. Should I go with my own thoughts of the colour or should I match the swatch? Why break tradition, lol, I matched the colour that Luna had posted... A very pale looking yellow, kinda Autumnal but then I seemed to end up in Spring mode. I think my brain left me this week!
Week 47...
KHAKI
Week 47: Carried away on the breeze
What is she wearing;
Hair: fri.day - Tatum
Necklace: No idea where this came from sorry guys
Tattoo: .:CoLL:. - Mab's Apprentice (past hunt prize)
Dress: :[Plastik]: - Narcissus (past hunt prize)
Wings: [Wishbox] - Dusk Wings
Bracelet: SLink - Orchid Corsage
Feet: SLink - Jolie Pied
Dandelion: No Strings Attached - Dandy (past hunt prize)

My view of Khaki is more of an olive green colour, yet as I am kinda anti-green this yellow worked better, lol. I went Fae this week, as you can see, when I first started out in SL I was a fairy all the time, it is still part of Rudh's character story that you may hear me use some day...
Next Week - Moss Green

Welcome to the Family!

**WARNING RL CONTENT** LOL
It's not very often that I get the urge to write a post solely about RL, sometimes it crops up randomly when I am talking about a SL related point, yet as this is RL and RL alone, I thought I better give warning, lol.
I don't know if anyone will remember, but back on the 11th April I posted about the sad loss of Hell and my RL doggie Biko. It was a sad time for us both, she'd had cancer and eventually she just couldn't take the struggle anymore. It makes me sad thinking about it even now, she was my first taste of being a dog owner and she was totally and utterly awesome! Yet it has been about 6 months now, and we have decided to become dog owners once again!!! Let me introduce you to our soon to be home puppy, IZZY!
The adoption of Izzy is a little complicated however, and we probably won't be getting her to live with us for a while! Time to explain... My sister Sophie, aka Titiania in SL, works at a Greyhound rescue center in England, this place takes Greyhounds, Lurchers and Whippets, many of which have been used as Race Dogs, and many of which have come to the end of their use and are just deposited with the charity. The Kennels are supposed to have a maximum of 25 dogs in at a time, yet recently there was a drugs raid on a local racer/breeder and when his operation was closed by the police he locked in all dogs, and abandoned them, the charity went in to rescue and ended up doubling their maximum capacity. Luckily some of the dogs have been taken to new racer families, that have been thoroughly checked out of course. We were told of a young mum who had been brought into the center, not related to the rescue yet still a dog in need, but Bonnie (the mum) gave birth to a litter of 8 healthy puppies on August 18th, at EXACTLY the same time as Hell and I started to discuss the idea of having a new dog, and although happy it was also even more strain on an already overstretched kennels. It was like fate, we wanted a female puppy. Hell had wanted another rottweiler, but to me that was just too much like a Biko replacement, and when my sister mentioned these puppies, I became very emotional. I know that there are dog charities closer to home, and that we could adopt from Amsterdam, but this Charity hits kinda close to home what with my sister being staff. The racing community didn't want these puppies as they aren't purebreds, Izzy is a Lurcher/Saluki/Collie cross, but I was more than willing to take her home. I know she is in good hands as she is spending her very young life being cared for by Aunty Sophie, and although we can't take her till she is about 6 months due to all the things that need to be done for travelling with an animal, the time line is pretty perfect for us... I JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!
Just for interests sake, if you wanted to have a look at the charity, there is a website, there are also pictures of the conditions these dogs were left in and I warn you it's HORRIBLE... I just can't stand stories of people treating animals like this, you wouldn't do it to a child, or maybe the people that can do this would?

Blog Hero... Week 10

TEN WEEKS ALREADY!!! OH MY GOSH!!! Ten weeks of getting overly excited listening to songs of Miss Shay's choice and working on both my photography skills and my creative building skills to set up a scene for it... I would like to say that I think it is making me better at both these things though I don't wanna sound big headed lol...
This week's song is one of my favourites, I LOVE Joan Jett, the woman had big balls of bravery for taking on the music industry like she did and her songs are total girl rock classics! This one in particular has been used in many film soundtracks, especially the teeny romance variety.
Week Ten's song... Joan Jett and the Black Hearts - Bad Reputation
I don't give a damn 'bout my reputation
You're living in the past it's a new generation
A girl can do what she wants to do and that's
What I'm gonna do
An' I don't give a damn ' bout my bad reputation
As soon as I saw the song the idea fell into place in my brain, to execute it would be fairly simple too. I dress Rudh like a bit of a skank anyway, so the outfit wouldn't be too hard, though for a second I want to rave about my new boots... HELL FOUND THEM!!! Hell never normally looks at shoes, but he spotted these and treated me to them! OH MY GOD!! Then I wanted Biker Chick, had to use one of the Hogs and Carts Wheels bikes really. I don't know if I mentioned it but Hell recently went solo in the vehicle building business (long story, don't ask lol I may tell later), but this is my favourite of the bikes made, with an aeroplane engine!!
I LOVE THIS CHALLENGE, thank you Miss Shay. Hope you are doing well!!!

INTERNATIONAL TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY 2011

Arrrr Mateys it be International Talk Like A Pirate Day Arrrrr *waves a cutlass around and starts jumping around the room to the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack*
Hell and I decided to dress up for the THIRD BEST HOLIDAY OF THE YEAR... It comes right after Halloween, which is first, Christmas and then International Talk Like A Pirate Day. When I was growing up a pirate was one of the two things I told people I wanted to be, I was going to be either a pirate or taller. During my days at university, my friends and I always got into the spirit of things too, talking like pirates all day, which got us some very, very funny looks LOL... Hell dressed for his surname namesake... Barbosa!
A pirate joke for you;
He had a wooden leg, a hook on the end of his arm and a black patch over one eye.
"You've been in the wars, matey", said one of the crew,
"Ay, a shark bit off me leg, a cannon shot me hand off and a seagull shit in me eye", he said,
"I can understand the shark and the cannon, but how could you lose an eye?"
"It was the day after the hook was attached and I wasn't used to it", said the pirate! LOL

D is for DIFFICULT - Alphabet Time!

Some letters we're going to find easier than others, I was ready and expecting certain letters to be hard, J, X and Y seem to have difficulty written all over them in my wardrobe warehouse, but the I wasn't expecting D to be one of those harder letters... Boy was I wrong! I mean OK, bits of it just fell into place but seriously I couldn't make things fit together like an outfit, it took me hours and much cussing!! Yet like always after putting together a particularly difficult outfit, something that has surprised me time and time again during the colour challenge, I really like the outfit that I created!
DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
What D's did I dig outta my wardrobe;
Hair: Magika - DONNA
Skin: DJINN & TONIC - Mua, Tears of Blood (past hunt prize)
Necklace: .phresh. - DIAMANTS D'AMOUR (past hunt prize)
Jacket: * ^v^THE DEATH ^v^* - Rock Star Jacket
Top: DYN - Bronwyn Top
Skirt: Sn@tch - DEBORAH ZEBRA SKIRT
Shoes: In Her Shoes - DISTRESSED BOW BOW FLATS (past hunt prize)

The Store that I have chosen for this week's post is definitely one of the best places to buy cuteness in many forms. D-LAB is stuffed full with cute animals, cute toys and zany plants that can be found as decoration in many other locations across SL, and if you haven't at least seen one of the cute animals at some point I have to wonder have you been living under a rock? There always seems to be something that I want from this place whenever there is a release, my home is overflowing with the cute, so much so that Hell is gonna start to complain at some point, lol!!

52 Weeks of Colour - Week 46!

This colour was going to give me a few problems, not that I have problems finding something in a red tone, it was more the fact that this red colour was very close to the red colour of two weeks ago. This situation reminded me of the time we had Neon and Tangerine so close together, yet looking at the swatch posted by Miss Luna, this was to be slightly pinker than the fire brick tone!
I began to dig through my inventory, secretly hoping that it would be as easy as it was last week, it wasn't, and by the time I had tried on every single red outfit I wasn't satisfied that the colour was even close. I began to trawl through the Marketplace, searching for brick, I FOUND IT... Perfect... Dressing up and funny, but even better IT FIT THE SWATCH yay, now I just wonder if anyone else will be as insane as I am when it comes to getting coloured up this week?!
Week 46...
BRICK RED
Week 46: Since putting this look together I've been stuck singing, "She's a BRICK HOUSE" lol
What is she wearing;
Hair: [LeLutka] - PINNED hair (past hunt prize)
Planes: The Black Forest - Wearable Dogfight Planes
Outfit: Weirdiculous - Brick House Costume
Necklace: **YBR (cant find actual store name) - Chair Necklace (past hunt prize)
Bracelet: KOSH - 3 Missing Locks
Shoes: [elikatira] - Move Pumps

She's a BRICK HOUSE!!! Dammit that's the only line I can remember of the song by the Commodores lol... It's been driving Hell mad!
Next Week - Khaki, isn't this a bit yellow?

Derriere

Following blogs is addictive, you never know what will turn up on them. Today I found another mini-Challenge, as these one off challenges shall now be known when I post-em-up, this one was a photo challenge as usual but it was the angle that caught my attention.
Hosted by the Juicy Bomb Blog, this challenge is VERY simple. All it needs is a picture of your Derriere, Booty, Ass, whatever you wanna call it, it can be clothed or not depending on how your mood takes you and there is no end date to this challenge either!
Once I was setting up to take the photo, a thought struck me as to the fact that this challenge was harder than I had imagined. I was so used to dressing Rudh from the front, giving the slightest check over that the back looked alright, but getting her dressed from the back was a completely new experience. It was more difficult than I realised to dress up my back and then pose so it didn't look like my spine was going to snap. Anyway, Check out my junk, lol!

Blog Hero... Week 9

YAY it's Wednesday! YAY it's Song Time! Though, not yay, as I had NO IDEA what I was going to create for this. I had a migraine, I couldn't even bring myself to listen to the song all the way through, and that was something I NEEDED to do as I had never heard of this song before. When Fledge was around I passed the thinking to her, it was just making my brain explode, and she came up with a kick-ass idea.
Week Nine's song... DQ - Drama Queen
I'm your drama queen tonight
All my troubles are out of sight
When the lights are on
I will be your shining star
I'm your drama queen tonight
Everything's gonna be alright
when I get on the stage tonight
Fledge's idea was simple, but it would take some work to create the finished photo. Firstly she suggested a very glamourous dress teamed with big hair, and being lowered onto a stage on the star seats that I finally managed to dig out of the wardrobe warehouse! I found one of my favourite dresses, it is gorgeous, yet only really suitable for static poses as the sculpted skirt won't move... To team with that she had suggested big hair, all the big hair that I put on looked shocking with the dress and didn't have the glamour that I wanted. I thought of the show girl headdresses that were worn in the video and wanted one, though on the marketplace they came with outfits and were expensive. I cheated, took an old dance fan and voila, when teamed with red hair, glamour... PERFECT. Fledge came to the rescue once again, dusted off her building skills and artistic eye and helped to set up the shot by creating the lighting, the best lighting technician ever I swear, I'd made a right hash job of it with glowing cones - lol it wasn't good trust me!
Thank you Fledge for helping with this... In fact I should just credit you for the entire shot, I doubt it would have come out just like it did without your help... Plus you've always been the one to handle my Drama Queen moments LOL!! You're my shining star!

C is for CREATIVENESS - Alphabet Time!

*Starts singing the legendary C is for Cookie song* Sorry I grew up watching Sesame Street, I think it was my mum's favourite time of the day too as it meant she got a little bit of peace and quiet while I was sat watching it, that is till my sister was born anyhow!
But in regards to this challenge, C is definitely for Creative, there is NO WAY I could create an outfit without a little creativity... I have had a kinda easy ride of it in the first few weeks but I have a feeling that there is a LOT worse to come!
CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC
What C's did I dig outta my wardrobe;
Hair: [ploom] - CHRISTY
Skin: lessthan3 skins - Kyla CRIES
Necklaces: CONCRETE FLOWERS - Tinman's Heart, AND, .:CORE:. -tags
Dress (complete with belt): *CRAZY* - Horns Dress
Bracelet: Digit Darkes - COUTURE Big Ass Studded
Tights: Sn@tch - CHEETAH Tights

The store is CONCRETE FLOWERS, this is definitely one of my favourite stores in SL, it was the reason that I found my bestie Lynnieloo. I was wandering around minding my own business, and she IM'med me to say hello, the rest is history... The store is full of a treasure trove of furniture, jewellery, clothing and randomness that isn't to be missed! It definitely fits in with my creativity this week too!

Week 40, We Finally Did It!!

It has been a long time coming, Mayala and I have been a bit like two passing ships on a VERY busy shipping lane, hehe... We get the briefest of glimpses before one or the other disappeared into the mists. Yet damn when we did get together instead of meeting the sexy Miss Maya, I was met by a smoking hot man with a handle-bar mustache... EEK!! Apparently Maya couldn't make it to the filming hehe...
Talking of which I thought it would be a set of STILL photos, but Maya being Maya, she reached deep into the bag and pulled out the first comedy in the Rudh/Maya Movie Classics Series!
The narration alone, read by Microsoft Sam, had me in tears as I was laughing so hard... I guess Maya wanted to branch into her first RomCom! She did it with such flair that I have to say although it took so long for us to finally get our shit together, this is possibly my favourite movie yet Miss Loon!!! As always hon, it was so much fun to work with you... Thing is now can we get our acts together for at least two more joint projects, the one we missed and the one to come?! *hugs Maya* You rock my friend, but damn I cant believe you beat my thrown down challenge LOL... oh well there is always next time!

Themory ^Re.Birth^ and Animal Lips!

Now it is not very often that I ever buy make-up in SL and think DAMN I wanna talk about this... My normal go to wear is just a slick of lipstick from KOSH, yet during this week's Project Themory, I found the COOLEST LIPSTICKS EVER!!! I love a sale as much as anyone, but I can be fairly lazy when it comes to the bounty of stuff that is released in special sales every weekend, so lazy in fact that I let other people do the trawling over SL and I just look at the pictures on their blogs - THANK YOU FOR THOSE lol!! Sometimes things jump out at me, other times I can go a whole weekend without buying anything, this weekend was a good one, I bought lots! Thing is the majority of this stuff is likely to be blogged all over the place, but when I saw these I couldn't resist.
Project Themory this week is all about RL2SL (or real life inspiration in the SL world) and damn that could cover anything, such as the cute pet snails Miss Lynaja Bade of Concrete Flowers produced to represent her RL pets of her youth to the simply awesome lipstick artwork created by Miss Remi Bohemian of ^Re.Birth^.
There is a set of these lipsticks, of which I bought 6, each for 75$L till about 12pm SLT Today, so you don't have long. I'm not sure what price they will be after this time...
Apparently, according to the accompanying sign these were based on RL Lip Art... I was like NO WAY, but I looked at the link, it takes you to the Deviant Art page Viridis Somnio and OH MY GOSH THEY ARE REAL, and so worth a look!!! This artist is brilliant at painting her lips, I can't even create my own face paint, this is just AWESOME, take a look here and GO GET SOME LIPS!!

52 Weeks of Colour - Week 45!

My first thoughts on this week's colour were along the lines of YAY AUTUMN TONES, though it did bring up slight concerns that we may have another run of brown in the final few weeks... Ill keep hinting that there are SO MANY colours we haven't touched upon yet, maybe we should just keep going!
Yet this week, oh my god, I opened my inventory and somehow managed to find the PERFECT colour within the first outfit that I threw on... That has NEVER happened to me before, I was hanging on the edge of being a nervous wreck wondering when the apocalypse was going to hit, it is so rare that I don't have to spend hours finding something to wear, lol! To make my state even worse, as I was just pulling things on to accessories the look it just came together, there wasn't any issue of 'oh maybe I can find something better', it all just fell into place. The final straw was when I got into the attic and created the photo I wanted in the FIRST SHOT... that's all it took to get the look I wanted captured, just ONE PHOTO... That was it I had to go and lie down for fear of passing out I was in that much shock.
Week 45...
BRONZE
Week 45: Kinda Steampunk with a Girl's Best Friend!
What is she wearing;
Hair: <DEVIANT KITTIES> - Exodus
Glasses: Occular Goggles (no longer available)
Necklace: :::insanya::: - ForeverYours Collar (past hunt prize) AND .:ellabella:. - Phase (past group gift)
Outfit: *diavolicious* - Steamsy (past hunt prize)
Bracelet: INDYRA ORIGINALS - Flight Compass Wristlet
Diamond: aDORKable Poses - Carats (past hunt prize)

I have never really had much to do with the Steampunk style, I am not even sure if this look qualifies, but I liked it... it has something of a Steampunkish diamond inspector look about it hehe...
Next Week - Brick Red... A kinda pinkish red, pretty but let's see where this takes us huh?

RUDH'S RANDOM RAMBLINGS IS ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!

Seriously this is a HUGE achievement for me... One whole year of maintaining a blog, WOW! I never would have thought that I would come this far.
I guess in part I was spurred on by the Colour Challenge every week, but seriously now I couldn't stop blogging if I wanted to. It is such a brilliant way of letting off steam, not to mention letting my creative side have an outlet. I've become so much better at making photos of myself and others, though all the photo taking and preening of Rudh to do it sometimes makes me feel a little vain hehe...
Still... Thanks to everyone who reads my stuff, you don't need to, a lot of the time it is just useless nonsense. This isn't a fashion blog, or even a particularly deep one, yet still people actually take time out to read it... So Thank you!!!
On to another year of Ramblings...

B is for the Alphabet Challenge is back - BRILLIANT!

That's right, week 2 of the awesome Alphabet Challenge. I'm not sure exactly which day is change over day for the new letter week to begin but it seems that Monday is an empty slot in my blogging calendar, so Monday's it is for me at least hehe, every alphabet post after this will appear on a MONDAY lol...
As to be expected, this week's letter would be B! B turned out to be much harder for me to accomplish after the ease that was A last week. Hair was the biggest problem, I couldn't find a style I wanted to wear with the outfit let alone one that began with B, then after much digging I pulled on something that worked. Could have just gone and bought one at my B store of the week, yet I love this store for it's bright pink hair and don't really wanna spoil the pinkness by adding hair in a different colour - lol I know I'm weird like that lol!!!
BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB
What B's did I dig out of my wardrobe;
Hair: Exile - BRONWYN
Skin: #BEFORE SLEEP# - FAH Skin (past hunt prize)
Necklace: ::TroubleGum:: BLACK PEARL NECKLACE
Top: BOUNCE - Grand-ma's Sweater
Pants: BROCADE TIGER - Leather Patch Jeans (past hunt prize)
Boots: Redgrave - Girl's BIKER BOOTS

My location this week is the fabulous store BC322... They make all kinds of accessories, but it is the hair that I am addicted to... I LOVE all the freebie pink styles and will often go back and purchase in regular tones too...

My attempts at Building

I have always told people that I am NOT interested in building, I haven't got the patients to work on any building projects for long periods of time. I also kid myself that even though I have been in SL for 5 years, I don't have the know how... An idea which is actually pretty silly seeing as I am often to be seen setting up props for photos, modding clothes to fit my "chunky waisted ho" shape (lol long story, basically some jealous woman in a club acted about 15 and decided to insult me - had the reverse effect, I couldn't stop laughing!) and occasionally I put my mind to a project, like the time a couple of years ago I spent weeks making everyone of my SL family their own personal rag doll alike!
However today I finished a build project that I started about six months ago, and it was a pretty proud moment for me...
As a back story, since I was born I have had a special friend - Dogga... Genius name huh? He went everywhere with me, gave my mum nightmares when he was left somewhere and helped me to deal with some not nice reoccuring nightmares that I have had since I was 15 and still get to this day. I had wanted to try and build him in SL for a while, I'd thought that it would be easy shapes but I gave up as it wasn't working, still Hell prompted me and Rudh now has a Dogga in SL. The RL Dogga looks a bit shabby, he's 25 now has had many eye replacement surgeries, nose jobs, a neck tightening operation and is considerably flatter than when I was given him, but I blame that on the fact that I slept on him when I was little...
Does it make me a freak wanting to build my childhood toy in SL? LOL, if it does OH WELL I don't really care!!! I'm just proud that I could build something without wanting to kill someone!

Blog Hero... Week 8

A new week, a new song... This week I have to say that although I like the song, I am not keen on the singer. Nothing personal against him, I'd just rather listen to the song by someone else, lol there are plenty of covers of it out there to choose from! I just realised that I posted as Bog Hero last week lol, shows that I wasn't fully aware of what I was doing huh?!
Still it is good to see that Miss Shay is on form enough to be able to post the challenge for us from her hospital bed, good to hear that you're not totally pulled into the misty abyss that is RL! Missing the bounty of Shay posts though, so come back to us soon!!
Anyway, onto my picture for this week...
Week Eight's song... Michael Buble - Sway
Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me
I took the lyrics fairly literally again this week. I actually managed to stick with the ones that Shay had posted too... Proud of me?? LOL. This week I had this image of dressing as a flower, dancing with the flowers, kinda like Alice in Wonderland. I love this photo, the whole thing came together so easily, though getting the shot right with the movement too me a fair few tries!!! I do LOVE this photo!!

A is for AWESOME!!! A NEW CHALLENGE YAY!!

Sitting on SL yesterday staring at the screen wondering what to do, I saw a little notice message pop up. It was from Luna in the 52Weeks group, pointing us in the direction of another challenge, and by now you should know that I NEVER say no to a challenge lol... This makes it a hat-trick of challenges that I will be working on, at least for the next few weeks before the Colour Challenge comes to an end.
The challenge up for attempting is The Alphabet Challenge, hosted by Miss Willis on her blog What *is* Willis Talkin' About?, and it has been set up with a few very simple rules;

Everything you wear… must begin with the letter you are blogging.. for example;
 - Store Name
 - Item Name
 - Item Colour

Sounds fun, would appear that the challenge has been run before, but as a yearling blogger (I'm still in my first year of blogging - lol), I figured that this time I would give it a shot...
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
What A's did I dig out of my wardrobe;
Hair: Maitreya - APPLE
Skin: AL VULO - Elena Huntress Sunkissed (past hunt prize)
Glasses: .:ACID&MALA:. - Reader Glasses (past hunt prize)
Necklace: [ACIDE] - Chained Necklace

The 10 Things I Love About SL - Blogger Challenge

Reading through the massive amount of posts this weekend has provided so far, I noticed a post on the blog of Miss Laila Laperriere, posted last Thursday 1st September, with a title that suggested another blogger challenge. Now I am NEVER one to say no to a challenge and this one seems to be a one off set by a Miss Chalice Carling, on her blog Chalice in Wonderland. It caught my attention, so I got my brain into gear and came up with pictorial representations of  THE TEN THINGS I LOVE ABOUT SECONDLIFE.
Rudh is MY BARBIE DOLL, I will always tell people that. I don't claim to be anything like her, except personality wise as our personalities are one and the same. As a RL "fat girl", CLOTHES AND SHOES tend to be a little more on the expensive side, so SL helps me to appease my inner clothes-loving demon, as they are just so cheap and so pretty!
HELLBONE and I met in SL when we were working for a club, he sang to me on voice in Dutch when ALL the guests of the club could hear, lol. He is now my favourite DJ, my Ken dolly, and the man I wanna grow old with. My FRIENDS are another of my things. SL is great it helps you meet people from all over the world, without this "game" I would have missed out on meeting some of the most amazing people, from all walks of life!
I have learnt recently about what it means to take PHOTOS of SL memories. I used to be so bad at it, never thinking of clicking a little button, now I click all the time, and have a hard disk that is groaning under the weight of all my SL photos. The sixth of my ten things are LOL WTF MOMENTS - there are so many things that happen in RL that can make you laugh but at those moments I rarely tend to have a camera, in SL all you have to do is point and click... Like this one, the day that Fledge was a toilet and she decided I needed a shower, lol wtf?
TREASURE HUNTING  seems to be my favourite past-time, possibly equal to shopping! I love the thrill of finding a prize, or finding a great store that I never knew existed, and then when it comes to opening the prizes it's like being a kid at Christmas! DRESSING UP is definitely another of my must do things in SL, I will never get tired of trying to put together a fancy dress outfit, be it a pirate, or a princess, or even just my PJs, dressing up is awesome!
Although I have only been BLOGGING about a year now it is one of my loves that stems from SL. Now in the morning I get up with a coffee and my blog dashboard to see what everyone is up to. My SL HOME is the best place to sit whilst I am blogging as it is one of the most calming spaces in SL for me. Built and designed by HellBone and Remus, it is a wild garden, with many hidden places perfect for getting away from it all surrounded by the soothing sounds of nature.
That's it, all TEN... Some of them may seem silly, but that is what makes me love them so much, and if you wanna check out the original post I point you to Chalice in Wonderland. I know that sometimes I bitch about SL with it's lag and crashing, but seriously at the end of the day, I wouldn't give it up... I couldn't... Do you think they drug it or send out subliminal messaging or something, ya know something that stops people leaving?

52 Weeks of Colour - Week 44!

This week happens to have a colour that falls into my favourite colour range... I LOVE red tones, red and black prior to this challenge made up about 95% of my wardrobe, so a monochrome colour followed by a red - Walk in the Park lol... Though saying that makes me worry I have spoken too soon... There do seem to be a LOT of colours we're missing still, things like Gold, or Turquoise!! I would love to create a gold look!
Still this week is in the red range again, and might I just add YAY, though in all seriousness I found myself wandering back to the carnival that I had visited with the pink post for Week 28. This worries me, I don't, can't won't do clowns - they are ALMOST as bad for me as Aliens (long story!) - yet I keep being drawn back to Carni style looks! First it was the Candyfloss seller and now a Balance Artist! Thankfully not a clown in sight, well unless you count HellBone but maybe that's a little mean... nah lol only ONE clown in sight hehe...
Week 44...
FIREBRICK
Week 44: Balancing on a ball in heels, NO MEAN FEAT!!! I have booboos on my booboos lol...
