Gathering of the Rainbow Fae

I was off work today and thought to myself "I'm going to be a good little blogger and get lots of pictures ready for me to post every day this week"... A few hours later and I got preciesly ONE ready... I wasn't being lazy, I just let myself decide to create something that took a lot of work and far too much planning LOL... Not to mention trying to get multiple versions of me into one shot... WHAT WAS I THINKING?!!

I had something in mind that I wanted to blog, I had a gorgeous new head - the Kanjo Anime Head from BeSpoke - and figured it might look great with the magical Astraeus Skins - a new release from Faunus, and both of these things could be found at the recently opened Skin Fair - and therein was my BIG PROBLEM... ALL of the colours were gorgeous... 
From the moment I was playing with colours, thoughts of rainbow fairies sprang into my mind, dancing around in space amongst the stars... Gathering together before they plan their descent to paint the sky with a magical rainbow...

Pretty Clutter on the Shelf!

Keeping the house tidy... It's something that we're all expected to do unless we're able to have someone to do it for you. I will fully admit that I HATE cleaning, and the worst of the worst is dusting... I HATE dusting. The only problem wih that is that I have so many itty, bitty things, and that the city I live in is terrible for creating dust, so therefore if I don't do it often enough, it could easily become a scene in any horror film...

I love that about Second Life though, I can have all kinds of pretty things decorating each an every surface in my house without any need to clean them up. I have gadgets and gizmos a plenty, hoozits and whatsits galore, there are trinkets on every surface...
Beautiful lamps - like the one from Lucas Lameth - sit alongside potion bottles - from Short Leash, at My Bloody Valentine - books balance precariously alongside beautiful potted plants, and the most interesting of pictures are balanced on the shelves... This pictures in particular is a special one, it's a Bell'angelo, a Living Masterpiece - from Short Leash at Abnormality - filled with the prettiest of rose demons... Roses are beautiful but the thorns are definitely the playthings of the rose demon...
Since she's not so clear in the main picture, I had to add a little close-up, isn't she pretty?!

Stones for Roses

I have been trying to keep my lazy brain active lately, reading and learning more about new and old things alike, and one of those things has been taking me back to my archaeological roots, today I was looking into a little Greek Mythology... Namely, at least for today, Medusa... The poor woman get's so much bad press for turning heroes to stone just because they look at her, but it has been said that it was a punishment caused by being in the wrong place, with the wrong person at the wrong time! 

It's what happens when you let Poseidon flirt with you in the tomb of another goddess... Mind you have you seen the recent re-incarnation of Poseidon, I mean I know he's not Poseidon but Aquaman is almost as close... 
She's not been on a date in such a long time, since her hairy pets have a tendancy to turn the boys to stone, but at least those boys that do come to visit bring her pretty flowers - thanks to the pose from Secret Poses, in which you have the option to use both Pink or Red roses. She loves roses, almost as much as her pet snakes, that's why she's had them tattooed into her Medusa Tattoo over her shoulders and down her arms - thanks to a gorgeous Skin Fair release from Psycho Barbie - and is happy to show them off with her adorable Shallan Outfit - a pretty floaty little gypsy number from 1313 Mockingbird Lane. Shame that to get the roses, the guys have to get turned to stone...

The Problems of Dogs in the Rain

Even though the sun is shining now, it's a little deceitful... There's more rain predicted, as if we didn't have enough already today... This morning when I woke up the skies had opened and it was POURING! Typical on a day when I have things planned that I need to do, but even worse, if you're a dog owner... 

I love my god I really do, but on days like this today, when I had to go out into the rain for her to have a wee... I'm seriously thinking "could I try training her to use the toilet?" 

I love to walk Izzy, make sure that she gets in her daily dose of tiddling where another dog has left a make, lots of sniffing and plenty of standing stone still waiting for another dog to be out of her way... The worst habit she has though is that she will poop, I have to pick it up, and then two minutes later she's pooping again and I have to carry not just one but TWO POOP BAGS!!! 

I was inspired by the release of the new Dog Park Items from Star Sugar, which included the epic Waste Station, and while I set up to go for a walk it started to rain.

Tears for the Dead Roses of St.Valentine

I felt like doing something that shared a little emotion today... I'm feeling worn down and tired, a little on edge and ready to crack, but because it's still February, and therefore still the month of love, I have tinged my sadness with some bright red roses just to give it that seasonal feel. 

It all started because of the tears I cried for the dead roses of Valentines. My tears actually became the petals of the flowers that died - Petal Tears from FIKA for those of you that want to know, these are the current group gift - and they are a perfect combination with the gorgeous flowers from LODE - the Camilla Wreath - May's Soul - the Ephemeral Beauty Eye Patch - and [The Forge] - the Chained Rose Collar.

Dark Magic Clan uses Blood Magic in their Cooking!!

Dark Magic... Something that I have recently thought of as that which shouldn't be dabbled in... I know a number of RL White Witches but saw first hand a reaction of one of my friends when she met someone that practised something darker, and boy was it an uncomfortable feeling... 
Yet it's the dark magic that always allures me... It's that dark magic which makes a girl feel powerful and devious, so when I'm lured to the dark side I tend to let myself go there freely - unless it's the Star Wars dark side then it's always under extreme duress LOL... 
Deep in a cave, Rudh has been welcomed as a high priestess into the Dark Magic Clan... An epic battle rages on between the Dark Magic and the Blood Magic, and it's going to be nasty, especially now we have a little of the Blood Magic's Magic!!! 

My mind can so easily go into over drive when I'm being creative it seems so it's not my fault that when I'm handed a set like this amazing Dark Magic Collection, my mind runs away with me... 
This amazing collection is a Fantasy Gacha Carnival release from the awesome Violetility. Everything you see here in this picture - Rudh excluded - is available in the gacha collection in both the Dark Magic - blue - and Blood Magic - red - versions... 
I had so much fun turning myself into a Dark Magic Mage... I wanted to be someone etherial looking, hence why I wear the flowers in my favourite new hairstyle from RunAway - at the current round of FaMESHed - and the loose body veil over the under bust corset... 
Before I disappear today though, I'm needed to work on this potion to attack our Blood Clan enemies, I do have one little confession... The "Staff" I'm holding is actually a lamp, and the pose I'm using is actually a NANTRA "I Protest" Sign Pose... I'll be showing the poses properly soon, but it just seemed to be the prefect pose to hold the lamp and make it look like I was using the Blood Magic in my spell cooking!!

Trapped in Burning Glass

It's HOT today... So hot it feels sweltering and stifling and oppressive almost... Ideally, I'd like to be sitting somewhere cool, in the shade and the breeze with a cold drink in my hand but unfortunately no such luck. I have to work, and that's all there is to it, so I'm stuck behind my PC - yes I'm working here in my underwear LOL - and I feel stuck... 
Going to share with you an image I took of Rudh, in a similar predicament. It was something that I was working on while I felt artistic one day, and I'm not sure what people will think, but I personally love it!!!
Trapped somewhere strange and foreboding, poor little Rudh is being held hostage by some weird cyborg like creatures... All she can do is cower behind the glass of the cage that they put her in, and hope that she can withstand the heat! 

I'm not responsible for the set of this photo, the setting is one of the awesome photo locations at WHOLE WHEAT and yes I am a little bit addicted to using their sets, but that's because they are so very well put together, and are free for everyone to use!
Her warrior like outfit is made up of a collection of different mismatched things, including something from the SOON TO CLOSE round of Memento Mori - in fact it may have even just closed as I write this - which is this awesome Strappy Mess - from le fil casse - that wraps around your body to cover all the naughty bits. Over the top of the straps, for a little more protection - although it too doesn't cover very much - is the Kaithleen's Chain Mail Armor.
She dresses herself with some Infierno Heels that will be handy in war, and a Cureless Mask to mark the Twelfth Night of battle. Something so fearsome it would scare even the bravest opponent. 
Stuck in the glass cage, I wonder how long our heroine can endure the heat?! I wonder how long the RL me can endure the heat

Gemstone Bubbles

I've been on a roll with taking pictures recently, all different kinds and styles, I've done so many in fact that it's hard to choose which picture I want to blog first and what is best suited to my current mood LOL... So for now, even though I am stuck in my RL office, I thought I'd do something a little bit crazy random! As much as I love taking pictures, it's the crazy random that I love best...

This came about because of two amazing things, that just seemed to connect together in my weird brain.
My first crazy need this week was the CURELESS Luxurious Dolls Gacha at the new Gami Gacha event. I needed this Engraved Doll Head in my SL and nothing was going to stop me LOL... Now this head is a Rare one, but it contains a few things that I wanted to point out... There is a colour hud for colouring the gems, a tattoo layer for both system and mesh heads, and TWO different possibilities for attaching the gems. One is as shown here, already laid out on a cute dolly head, the other is gems that can be edited to fit your own personal face... Now I tried this second option... It was SO Fiddly to get the gems in the exact spots that I kinda gave up and decided to wear the head instead!! It's not a criticism by any means, I LOVE that we have the option, but in my case I was being far too lazy and thought "Nah!"
The second thing I HAD to have was this Fish in the Bubble from Astralia - available at The Chapter Four now - it just really appealed to my kookie side!
I finished the crazy randomness from my brain with a past Hair Fair Freebie from YUKO - on a side note, HAIR FAIR 2016 IS COMING!!!!! - and a pretty necklace from May's Soul, and the crazy was ready!
I feel better for having been able to do something a little crazy... Now to just get through the rest of the day!

A Guide in the Dark

This morning is one of those dark and rainy mornings, the kind where you feel like you want to do nothing more than stay curled up in bed and hide... Unfortunately it's Monday morning and that means it's a work day... I'm not sure how lucky it is, but looking at the weather I feel kinda lucky that I can hide at home and work here however... SO P.J Day for RL me it is... Rudh on the other hand?!?
Rudh is going to be a guiding light in the darkness today... Part angelic, Part destroyed - well it actually sounds like a pretty normal day for her LOL... I will tell you though, that this would have to be one of my favourite photos that I've created in recent weeks... I LOVE the outfit, the location, the lighting, everything!!! I wonder if you agree?!

I may have mentioned it before but I am going to say it again... As soon as I saw these wounds on someone on Flickr I HAD to have them... I know that I get like that a lot but seriously these were like a light in the dark I NEEDED these!!! The wounds, along with one on my face, my white eyes and chapped lips, are part of a collection from antielle for The Epiphany... (That's the place you can trade items for an exclusive remember?! Now you see why I was able to get the exclusive I NEEDED the rare antielle item lol).
It's not only the wounds that come from The Epiphany however, this Angel's Halo is a CerberusXing Halo called Tsukiyomi, as well as her outfit and staff - which are May's Soul - can also be found at this event in the clouds... See told you she was an Angel, she bought her things in the clouds hehe...
The last thing I wanted to mention with this photo was the location... I've talked about the sim design team before when I mentioned a location called The End of the World as we know it, but the Lick Sim Designs now have a new sim called The McFly Project. Based on the thought of time travel you start in somewhere that looks abandoned and wander through tunnels to a futuristic landscape, and BLIMEY it's awesome... I really love the tunnel system, they feel so realistic!!!

Her Lovers Hand...

Horror Haute is almost coming to a close for the month of February... The Dark Duets are once again being resigned to the darkness and will no doubt haunt that  romantic darkness for always. Finally the Valentine Month is coming to a close, The line-up of Horror Haute will close a day later however, February is such a short month and who doesn't love an extra day to find some awesome goodies! 

Sometimes you get things from designers and think WHAT THE HECK am I going to do with that?! This was one of those times, because as I unpacked the decorative item "The Hand that Loved" from La Maison des Corbeaux I will admit that I had a MASSIVE blogger block LOL... Then I was thinking, what would I do if someone gave me the hand of someone I love on a stick, that was still wearing their wedding ring!?! I'd cry!!!
This mystical warrior princess has just been handed the mounted hand of the man she loves...
The warrior princess wears the most amazing accessories... The leather tasselled collar and it's matching epaulettes are a release for The Fantasy Collective from May's Soul. They really called to me, as did a LOT of things from this month's line-up of industrial goodies! A halo from [TfAtN] marked out her mystery warrior element, but it was the mask that gave her the true power. The Mask of Poulpe ImmateriA, the part of the warrior units Dark Masquerade ceremonial garb! 
The last part of her outfit that you may want to pay attention to, is the amazing necklace from Kunglers Extra. A Beautiful Elenyr Necklace in the Obsidian tone... So intricate, so gorgeous... I may have to get more in other colours!!!

The Good and The Bad... Not very Ugly though?!

Valentines is coming... I cannot actually say that I am thrilled it's coming. Unlike some of the more exciting holidays - Halloween, Christmas and International Talk Like A Pirate Day for example - Valentines Day, to me falls a little flat... I love HellBone, I have him here with me everyday, and everyday should be about love not just one day a year! I doubt I am the only person thinking this way, but to me Valentines seems even more commercialised than Christmas and that says something!
Still there are so many adorable new releases, pouring out of the stores in SL, that I am trying to ignore the blah thoughts of this holiday and think of all the goodies I am getting my grubby hands on. Hearts are cute but I just wish there wasn't such an abundance of them at this time of year LOL... BAH HUMBUG!!!
Anyway although I complain, I will admit that some of the pretties coming in have to be shared... Some are very Valentine-y (Yes I know that's not a real word) and others are less so... BUT Pretties are pretties, and so to share these off a little I've created good and bad somewhat angellic versions of myself LOL...

The good version of Angellic me looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth! Sweet, innocent and purely angellic in every way! Her outfit is a new release from ImmateriA for the latest round of The Instruments. These outfits are available in three different colours, each in eye popping tones with dark strapping to make them stand out! Simple yet adorable, that's what Rudh likes to see hehe... The accessories for this look were NOT so simple LOL... Her halo - well May's Soul Halo actually - is pinned into her adorable Ploom Eskimo braided updo. Her brilliant red hair, matching perfectly with the colour of the new wings she chose from the Remarkable Oblivion store - called Eternity in Lust by the way. Her hands were strapped tight in ribbons of the MUKA Burlesque. All it took to make this little angel happy was a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows from Half-Deer and a XOXO Donut from katat0nik!

As with her good sister, the bad Angellic me was strapped with the MUKA Burlesque ribbons, and her hair is that brilliant red colour, but that is where the similarities stop! This little angel is more akin with the devilish kind!
Lazing back on her chair this DevilAngel is nothing like her sister... Her ripped pants and wrap top complete with it's dildo carrying abilities from The Bishes Inc - a hunt prize too so free no less - is a far cry from the pretty outfit that Angel me is wearing... Her stomach scarred and scrawled all over with the truth. Her head adorned with horns - from Half-Deer - as she abandons her halo, it's a fake anyway from Remarkable Oblivion and her paper wings from yumyums, checking the buckles on her brand new SAKIDE Thrift Store boots before letting her hair fall loose as she begins to eat the heart she just stole...  
While both angels lounge in the clouds, they are keeping the seats of the cupid - there has to be more than one to fire that many arrows, he's not Santa after all!! - these awesome pose props, and there is one other similar too - are available from Signature Pose and can be found at the latest round of Pose Me Amazing. Good Angel me is perched sweetly on the Her Heart seat, whilst Bad Angel me flopped onto the Ti Amo Chair... As always with Signature Pose the poses are great, the props are adorable and well, if I wasn't so anti-Valentines day I know I would be screaming from the roof tops about these hehe...

There's a Beauty in the Beast!

One of my favourite stories of all time has to be The Beauty and The Beast... It, for me, is one of the stories with the most power - telling a tale of a true love that can be found without looking at the persons outside, but by discovering the person from the inside. As I've always been someone that loved fairytales, a message like that for the little fat girl with the red hair and glasses was very deep and meaningful! 
SL sometimes can seem like a boiling pot of fairytales if you think about it... In this case, for me at least, I can honestly admit to you that when I first met HellBone's avatar... Well it wasn't the classic, hot, grunge boy look that I'd chosen to mess around with in the past, in fact and he knows I say this but he looked like a bit, well... Anyway, we worked together as friends, he would sing silly Dutch songs for me while he was DJing and eventually we met in RL as "friends"... The rest is history! Beast isn't the right word, for HellBone, but I looked beyond what I saw on the surface and found something I loved... 
So when I saw that Enchanted was running a Beauty and the Beast theme, I got more than a little excited... 

Then when I saw the items that May's Soul had created, they were all over Flickr how could I miss them?! I simply had to have them LOL... The Beast Horns are a subtle nod towards finding the beauty within, adorned as they are with roses, and although they are available in both black and white colours, I just felt that the black had more of that dark beastly look to them! The Eye Patch and Choker are also available from May's Soul but are to be collected once you have a filled out a complete stamp card for this event. The way Enchantment works is that if you buy something from the participating designers, you are issued with a "stamp card", you then take this to all of the participating stores and collect a stamp which will unlock a location with special items that can be unlocked by turning in the full card... Think I'm talking gibberish? Check it out here for more information! 
Though enough shop talk lol, lets talk more about my Beauty within the Beast look! I decided to show that even though she looks scary - because I LOVE LOOKING LIKE A MONSTER Lol - that there is still a beauty there... Maybe you disagree and think "Ugh hideous"... 
I bought the hair from Exile, which will also earn you an Enchanted stamp card, it's called Librarian Chic, I wonder who it is based on LOL... 
But that my friends is where the pretty stops, and where the beastly devil takes over... I spent a LOT of time listening to a particular song this week, and you can actually tie it together with the Beauty and the Beast theme... The words "You'll realise I'm not your Devil" permeate the track! I'll share the song in a bit, but the Devil in me took over LOL... 
I'm wearing a super cute, but kinda sexy bad girl outfit from SAKIDE. It's not available yet, you have to wait until tomorrow and the opening of the With Love Fair, but I couldn't resist dressing my beast in this outfit... The beastly face was created by revealing my huge Carnivorous Jaw - which you can get yourself from ContraptioN - and then the iBurnout eyes which are a group gift from my new passion-of-a-store 7mad;Ravens!  A flick of make-up, a Stacked Bracelet of Pure Poison, and a Mark of Cain branding her as cursed - which you can grab for free in the men's path of the Jack or Jill Hunt from Fallen Doll by the way - and this Beast is ready to rock out on the roof of her castle in the rain. Isn't that how the Disney version ended anyway?! 
Now I mentioned a song, I warn you the video is a bit graphic, but it is Slipknot - or Snotlip as Hell calls them. We saw them live in Amsterdam on Sunday, I was pretty impressed I must say, and this song, seems to kinda fit with the whole beauty inside...
