The Tickles of a Ghostmage

The doors have opened, and the Midnight Order is here to release their magic onto the SL world for just a little while. There has been a sudden surge in magic since the doors have opened... Anyone with even the slightest hint of magical aura is already aware of it's presence. It's not just the living spirits that are able to enjoy the feeling, the dead are riding and on their way too...

That magic wakes the dead with gently tickling of some Ghostmage Hands - available from Aii at the round of Midnight Order that runs from today until February 20th - over their bare skin. It gets the magic to awaken and sparkle through their bodies, shining lights through their Archmage tattoos - from Nefekalum also at Midnight Order - it's a wonderful feeling, and the Midnight Order is the cause...

Burgers, Sandwiches and Fries

Another October day, another Crazy costume...I've told you not to expect all things dark and depraved, I know there will be a lot of that but a costume is a costume and dressing up is all part of the fun at this timeof year... I'm going to just enjoy the fun...
Today there's one other thing that is motivating me... I'm hungry!!!

I decided to dress up in something a little fun and fried to head to the burger bear diner...
There is lots of delicious things on the menu including crispy fries, gorgeously delicious Sandwiches - which are actually Sandwich Seats from Krescendo - and freshly grilled Burgers - like the ones in the Grilling Food Set from Junk Food... The bears tell me that the burgers are the best in the world, but they are Burger Bears - a release from Tardfish - and they are addicted!!!

Hoops of Rainbow Colours

When life is dark and somewhat monotonous, it is at that moment we must try our hardest to find the sparkle and bring some light to our own boring day-to-day routine... There are so many ways that I LOVE to relax, unwind and recharge my rainbow sparkles. I am very much back into reading these days - smut and violence dark romances I admit, but it still gets me feeling good - I am crocheting a blanket of old scraps of wool and when I do get into Second Life, I'm currently on a creative wave - athough I'm not sure how long it will last...

It feels easier to let Rudh find our inner sparkle as there's always another personality lurking somewhere beneath the surface... Neon comes pouring out of her today and once it glows, she sparkles... Colours of the briliantly bright surroundings lighting up her skin. Her black latex "Recover" bikini - an oldie but goody from Normandy - perfect to dance through the light, stretching her rainbow wings - from Doe - as she rolls her hips and to keep her Hoola Hoop - from Tardfish, which was available until today at the January round of Anthem, and which will hopefully find it's way to the mainstore soon...

Cookies Worth Fighting For

Christmas is coming down a slippery slope, today is in fact Sinterklaas in the Netherlands which happens to be their fke version of Christmas and I'm laughing as I say so... I have noticed that there are so many people getting into stress and dramas and almost fighting for the deals in the stores... 
It got me thinking about these fights, and how they could be better handled... How would fighting be more suitable... For some reason I started thinking about cookies and well the results were amazing... 

Nothing could be more entertaining than the Gingerbread Fighters in the boxing ring that were in the middle of a heated match... The place is crawling with spectating Gingerbread Friends, supporting and cheering and some don't seem all that happy either - both the Gingerbread Fighters and Friends are available now from Aardvark, with the Friends available until December 22nd at Uber whilst the Fighters are in the mainstore - there was even one trying to escape the event... Never worry though, bouncer Jolly Gingerbread - that's me in costume by the way - was able to play Kidnap Cookie - from Tardfish at The Warehouse Sale - and bring him back into the fighting...

Dino Nugget Fantasy

I got home from work, later than usual since buses and customers have been a pain in the buttocks, and I was tired, sore and starving... I needed something quick, easy and a little bit delicious, I rifled through the fridge to try and find something that I could make for a meal that would essentially be "dinner" and struck it lucky... Dinosaur-ishly lucky...

Of course, as I was sat on the sofa slowly chowing down on the cutest of dinosaurs I felt sleepy and as per usual my mind wandered off into a world of crazy bonkerishness... I sat looking at my dinner plate, a green plate decorated with the most delicious Dino Nuggies - like the ones from Junk Food which come in a set that are in a box, with tater tots and ketchup packets and to make it easier to see you can check out what the set really looks like here - and I ended up dreaming about being a nuggety cave woman armed with a french fry to defend herself against her Dino Nugget foes... 
My mind dos some weird and wonderful things sometimes... LOL...

Sharing Honey with the Bees

There are so many important days throughout the year, cultural holidays and national days and our own personal special days like Birthdays or Rezdays but there are other days that are important and far less known about which when you learn of their importance the fact that people know very little about them is shocking... 
May 20th is a very important day for some of the world's most important creatures... Creatures that are vitally important in the survival of our ecosystem... May 20th is World Bee Day, so today I'm going to be spending the day buzzing with the bees... 

Nearly 90% of the world's wild flowering plant species depend, almost entirely, on animal pollination, along with more than 75% of the world's food crops and 35% of sgricultural land... Pollinators like the bees are the key to conserving biodiversity.
So that people are made aware of the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and their contribution to sustaainable development, the United Nations designated May 20th as World Bee Day, with goals aimed at protecting bees and therefore assisting in the problems retlating to global food supplies... I had no idea of the importance of the humble little bee... 
Hence why today I got out my shrink ray and found the time to dance in the sunshine with my new buzzy bee buddies...

The Most Expensive Thing at the Museum!

Sometimes I get random ideas that start as one thing and end up in another, but as soon as I saw one of the items that was a special free gift for Valentines I couldn't resist the chance to do something silly with it... 
Valentine's is coming fast and furious, there is so much in the way of hearts and flowers and cute lovey dovey stuff, but buying Valentine's gifts can be trecherous and dangerous... For 2023, if you want something extremely special, something very expensive, and natural, maybe you need to look in the dairy aisle of the supermarket... 

2023's most expensive treasure, The Egg - a gift from Junk Food at Cupid Inc - would make a perfect "Engagement Egg"... 
Never know, in the future a specially preserved egg could end up in a glass case in the museum as the most valued posession of this year, alongside crown jewels and diamonds, and treasures throughout the ages.

Zoobydoo of the Berry Butts

I know I'm random sometimes, but I LOVE when I get more random than normal and do things that make even me do HUH?! 
Today I saw something new released that made me have an instant lapse into a jingle from a TV commercial from a few years ago in the UK. It was one that my mum was obsessed with, and she even set the music as her ringtone... I'm not sure if you've heard it, but the Ribena Advert from the UK has one of the catchiest soundtracks ever... I've decided to add it to the end of my post, so you get to enjoy it too, but today I found myself in the strangest of berry situations... 

I'd been in the middle of posing for an art class, I had slipped in amongst the prop fruits and flowers, set up all perfect for a still life, while I pretended to be a cute little strawberry - thanks to an older release from Ananas, that you can pick up at the mainstore as part of a set called Healthy Heads. 
While I was sitting there trying not to get a case of the giggles so that I'd mess up for the artists painting the scene, when there was a strange noise through the air, a strange song like noise "Zoobydoo Zoobydoo Zoobydoo"... A tiny little space ship, parked itself on a piece of fruit, and out of it popped the most adorable little "Fruit Butt" buddies - from Tardfish at the round of DollHolic that starts today - started dancing around singing the same tune that the space ship "Zoobydoo, Zoobydoo, Zoobydoo"...Such cute, happy little berries!

Reindeers and Snowmen

It's ALMOST here, Christmas is getting closer and closer... Weve got less than a week and everything is beginning to look just that little more festive, I've finally finished decorating my RL house and my SL house is almost done too... 
I've been doing things to get a little festive, I even managed to sneak in a trip to the North Pole for a little look around, and a chance to maybe catch a glimpse of the big guy... 

The place is like a Christmas Fairytale - although in this case it's a backdrop from K&S - and although I was perfectly sweet, and behaved very well but I didnt get to see one elf or even have remote hint that Santa was anywhere near... 
I may not have gotten to see any of the stars of this month's show, but I did make some adorable snowmen pals - Sprinks the Snowman from muffin, to be exact - AND I did manage to score myself the most epic Reindeer Hat - which is actually a gift in the MadPea Advent Calendar from Ananas - in the gift shop...

A Scrap Booking Distraction

Yesterday night I got a bit of bad news in my RL and it's had a ripple effect, as these things always tend to do into my SL as well... I wanted to curl up and do something that will distract myself from the dark thoughts that were brewing, and since I couldn't really get myself in the mood to pose for pictures I decided to unpack my Christmas goodies.
As I sat on the floor, I found a new Holidays Scrapbook and decided it was time to sort through some of my pretty pictures... Memories of Christmasses that were better... 

Buried deep in a box of Christmas Clutter - from Half-Deer - covered with wrapping paper, fairy lights and tinsel - which actually is a new release, along with the santa head bands from dust bunny at Santa Inc - was the Holidays Scrapbook - from Insomnia Angel - just waiting to be filled with pretty pictures, and this would be just the distraction that I needed... 
I dressed my teddy in his cozy Christmas Pyjamas - a teddy from hive - and sat down with the book to start filling the pages with wonder, and as time slipped by somehow HellBone managed to sneak in with a brilliant Santa Cookie Jar that contained some candy cane cookies - from Junk Food at Anthem - and a very large mug of hot cocoa - from what next. 
Lots of nice things to take my mind off the bad things...

Wearing a Blanket on Laundry Day

I love going on holidays, and I love coming home and returning to my usual stuff - some stuff more than others - but one thing that I'm not keen on is the mountain of laundry that seems to fall out of my suitcase as I get home. I opened my case, I took out the most important thing, a Christmas Pudding made by my mum and then had to start loading the machine... Until that point I'd washed all my things I'd have nothing to wear... 

This time of year is a little too cold to be sitting around in my nudiepants, that's naked for people that don't speak Rudhese by the way, and I had to find a way to keep warm whilst all my clothes were getting cleaned. I got lucky in this case, I'd received the most wonderfully warm, soft, fluffy 'Wrap Me Up' blanket - from Ananas, available until December 23rd at Tannenbaum in 6 different fun colours - and sat on the floor to watch the awesome show in the spinning machine.

Pumpkin Carving on a Sugar High

Halloween is coming and it's getting closer and closer, there is no stopping the snowball effect of th arrival of the Spooky Season... I LOVE this time of year, it's been fun to decorate, it's been fun to get into costumes and I have 22 more days of Halloween looks still to come...
Today I've decided to prep some of the decorations for my home, I wanted to start carving pumpkins to make my house feel more festive... Carving pumpkins can be a little messy, and since it's Halloween I get messy with candy too, but since it's so much fun, when the big people leave the room, the little spirits come out to play... 

Once the big people have gone, and the spirits come out to play in the pumpkins... The adorable little Cute Spooky pumpkin ghost - from YOKAI - was dancing around his favourite veggies, while the Little Crows - also from YOKAI but available at Satan Inc until November 1st - get silly and search for their own fab little Halloween costumes... If you look closely, you will also spot a cheeky little Pumpkin Fae fluttering through the pumpkins, laughing at the carved faces and indulging on the sweet treats, like the Pumpkin Candy Latte - from Junk Food - and the delicious donuts that were left by the Big People. She got such a fit of the giggles, the sugar instantly making her high, and she couldn't help but  sprinkle some of her fairy dust to go for a little "Pumpkin Ride" - an awesome vehicle from Ananas, available until October 22nd at Salem.

Riding on the Shooting Stars

Stars are a map of the universe and have long been relied upon for many things in many different cultures through-out the ages and the cultures. To see a shooting star can mean that change, luck, fertility and love are on their way - depending on which culture you check - but there's nothing out there that says what riding on a shooting star could do for you. 
As always, and since I could REALLY use a little change and a lot of luck in my life right now, Rudh is going to play guineapig and test this out... 

High up in the Stratosphere - a backdrop from The Bearded Guy - so high that if you're lucky you might get to see the hands of the gods, so long as you manage to dodge the shooting stars that zip through the black space. The angels have perfected the art of flying the stars, it couldn't be that hard, really, could it? Wannabe Angel Rudh decided to give it a try. She pulled on a pair of Celestial Shades - from Violetility, which you can also see in the close-up I added below - to protect her eyes from the starry glow, waiting for just the right moment. A star came whizzing past and Rudh jumped on for a Space Ride - an awesome new vehicle from Ananas for Kustom9 - and screamed all the way across the galaxy...

I don't wanna play Mouse Trap!

Sometimes it's as if a designer gets into my head...One of my favourite creators, a super awesome Pineapple man managed to get into my head and managed to create something that would be perfect for me... A little extra cheese in a life that's already super cheesy... 

This designer knows that my normal 9 - 5 job is in retail. I work in a cheese shop in the middle of Amsterdam for a company called Henri Willig. We sell all kinds of delicious gouda cheese, made from cow, goat and sheep milk, with all kinds of different flavourings, smokings and aging... It's a delicious place to work. 
Yet, when I put on the most amazing new release from Ananas - that you can get your hands on at a discount this weekend - it was like Diffthought had gotten into my head and made it just for me... The Mac part of this costume aside, I LOVE THE CHEESE!!! I wasn't prepared what happened next, while I was dancing around in my cheese, HellBone accidentally hit the shrink button on a gun borrowed from a crazy inventor and I shrank... Then I had to run for my life...

It's Corn! It's Poppin'!

Corny Crazy Sundays, it's a poppin' good time... 
I think that tonight I will curl up on the sofa and watch a movie, oooh or the new Rings of Power Series that I have been waiting for. That sounds like a plan, I might grab my Gandalf Teddy, put on my jammies, and make myself some popcorn, whilst I watch those crazy corn videos that have become the new thing on various social media platforms... 

I love a bowl of popcorn for the movies, I'm much more a sweet popcorn girl than a butter or salted popcorn kinda girl... 
I grabbed some of those microwave Popcorn bags and filled a Popcorn Bowl - both of which are from Junk Food - and then had to tell my lil Chihuahua puppy off for jumping on the counter and becoming a sneaky snacker - from JIAN. 
Now it's usual in my house that something crazy, and somewhat magical, can happen... In this case, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a little magical sprite that shouted "It's Corn" - a costume from Ananas that's available this weekend for Happy Weekend - grabbed a fellow corn cob that flew off into the sky to a chorusing chant of "It's Corn!" - from FOXCITY. 
I know that the corn cobs would need to have dried out a little, but I never expected that to happen...

Memories on the Screen

Our brain is such a powerful tool, it makes the world's super computers look like amateurs, and even the most useless of people are brilliantly clever if they really put their mind to it! They run our bodies and keep us alive, they keep skills held tight so they can be used any time they are needed, and they hold on to so many of our wonderful memories as well as those things that we wish to forget, our secrets, our hopes and our fears... We can call on them when we need them, some come to the front of our minds unbidden, and others are locked up tight... 
If we had a machine that could tap into our memories, I wonder what we'd discover... 

I think if we had a machine that could share our thoughts it could be either really great - a way to help us clear our minds of the bad things - or really terribly - if things are used against us... Imagine if someone got hold of our innermost secrets?!!! 
I'd hope that if someone has seen memories in my head, they will only find the happy things. Memories of my childhood days, reminders of my favourite toys. There are so many that spring to mind at times, things I'd forgotten, things that may no longer exist... 
Whilst I don't have a machine, I will admit that I DO have a lot of toys, lots of them to remind me of my youthful days. Once the machine has found the image, it could be printed out and everyone can take a closer look at all my lovely toys... Things like my AMAZING Rocking Horsey - from Ananas at the Fifty Linden Friday Birthday Bash - or my beautiful dolls, but you have to be careful, there is one that is a little more lively than the others... Watch out for the Pistachio Puppet - from tardfish at Enchantment - he's not as cute as he looks, he's very stabby... 
Now as the image on the screen of the picture in my mind is small, luckily the print outs are a little bigger and give you a proper close-up...

Blowing Bubbles, Transporting Fairies!

When I was little, I was lucky enough to be able to have a HUGE amount of toys of all different shapes and sizes. Things from dollhouses, to plushies of all different kinds, inside and outside toys, games and puzzles and story books, but one of my favourite things was ALWAYS bubble blowing wands with a huge bottle of bubbles... I used to wile away hours dancing around waving the wands to fill the sky with a shower of rainbow filled bubbles... I used to dream that each one held a tiny fairy who'd fly free to grant wishes as each bubble popped. I have no idea where the story came from, but it was always something I believed! 

I've always loved bubbles purely and simply because I've believed that fairies are teleported around in them... All you have to do is raise a bubble wand to your lips and gently blow, a whispering of Bubble Bubble - the release from Ananas for The Fifty - close your eyes though because as the fairy pops her way out of the soapy confines, the sparkles and bubbles that pop can sting... Close your eyes, make a wish a blow...

Color the World, Me and my Plus One!

Wow looks like it's a HOT day again tomorrow, today has been pretty warm too... I've been trying to focus on some random things to keep me occupied and avoiding the heat. 
I decided that today was a good time to take part in a challenge that we've been set in the blogging team for Ananas. They like to keep us on our toes, and keep us interested in the things we're blogging. This time we're being challenged to play a game of "Check Me Out: And My Plus One"... 

Now the idea behind the challenge was to showcase an item from Ananas, and feature a plus one... It didn't have to be a partner, it could be a friend, or a colleague, or even another blogger on the team, yet I guess, for the ease of it, I grabbed HellBone from what he was doing and pulled him into my little blogging world. 
Now, what would we do... We grabbed some MASSIVE crayons and decided to start drawing up a plan of what we'd be working on, when the plan fell together and we decided to "Color the World"... These epic crayons are an Ananas release that can be worn and leave a trail of brilliant colours as you draw all over SL.

Tropical Fruit Juices

It's been a very hot day, and actually it's going to be hotter over the weekend so right now I'm trying to do anything to cool myself off... 
Frankly I'd like to be somewhere cool and relaxing, a tropical beach perhaps where the sounds of the rolling waves and the breeze in the palm trees is the loudest of noises. It would be nice to sit on a beach in the shade of a palm tree with a nice, cool, glass of freshly squeezed fruit juice! 

This gorgeous little beach bar set out tables laiden with fresh tropical fruits - thanks to the amazing Tropical Fruit Selection from vespertine - and fruity Ice Lollies, that can be ground fresh by the blender - from Disorderly - that is available for use on the table. I made myself a delicious Summer Drink of Berry and Ananas - it's actually an awesome VEHICLE, yes vehicle, from Ananas, available until July 20th at The Fifty. It makes for a delicious juice, but also an awesome chilled place for a little dip...

Ice Cream Treats for Dessert!

After dinner, I don't always feel a need to have dessert but when I do I often reach for a delicious, sweet and icy cold... As they often say, "I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream"... Let's all scream for Ice Cream... 
Let's all head to the Ice Cream shop, where we can all have some delicious frozen treats... 

There is adorable little ice cream shop in town, it's bright and rainbowlicious, and decked out to look more than a little retro. Even the bar is created to be an adorable little van of Ice Cream Dreams - from MadPea - and there are so many delicious flavours and toppings and cups or cones... SO MUCH CHOICE! You could even do like my little pug friend, he's such a Sneaky Snacker - he's also available from Jian - and he stuffed his head into an industrial sized tub, he's my hero!
This place though, is even cooler than just the retro bar... The servers are dressed in the coolest, and yes the pun was intended, costumes ever! My server today was wearing a pretty Banana Ice Cream Delight - created by Ananas for the Summerfest Event - apparently her partners were decked out in the blueberry and cherry versions, I'll have to go find them somewhere!
