Helping the Pets to Grow

Today was a goddamn nightmare... I HAD SO MANY PLANS and each of these were foiled because I am someone in charge at the place I work in, and my boss is sick and so I had to go in at short notice to cover the opening of the location... I had plans to clean-up, plans to get things blogged, plans to try and finish my book... Cleaning will have to wait though, now that I'm home... I'm going to do something to cheer me up... 

It was a gray and misty morning this morning, a fog hung over the park as I was on my way and the people in the allotments were no where to be seen until the sun came up. 
This is the time that the allotments are alive with a different kind of folk, the gardeners are sleeping but the fairies are out in force ready to help the plants grow big and strong. It's Spring after all, and for some it's the busiest time of the year... 
There was a sparkle to be seen in the fog this morning, down by the potato patch where the spuds are beginning to grow. A children's toy has been left abandoned at hometime but from the look of the writing on the lid, it's the home for a Pet Potato - a collection from Junk Food - something that seems like a child may be looking forward to, when the time is right for harvest... The Fairies are eager to help, this one was caught with her Fancy Frog - from Aardvark - friend, giving them a talking to so that they'd grow faster meaning the child got it's pet sooner...

Pretty Clutter on the Shelf!

Keeping the house tidy... It's something that we're all expected to do unless we're able to have someone to do it for you. I will fully admit that I HATE cleaning, and the worst of the worst is dusting... I HATE dusting. The only problem wih that is that I have so many itty, bitty things, and that the city I live in is terrible for creating dust, so therefore if I don't do it often enough, it could easily become a scene in any horror film...

I love that about Second Life though, I can have all kinds of pretty things decorating each an every surface in my house without any need to clean them up. I have gadgets and gizmos a plenty, hoozits and whatsits galore, there are trinkets on every surface...
Beautiful lamps - like the one from Lucas Lameth - sit alongside potion bottles - from Short Leash, at My Bloody Valentine - books balance precariously alongside beautiful potted plants, and the most interesting of pictures are balanced on the shelves... This pictures in particular is a special one, it's a Bell'angelo, a Living Masterpiece - from Short Leash at Abnormality - filled with the prettiest of rose demons... Roses are beautiful but the thorns are definitely the playthings of the rose demon...
Since she's not so clear in the main picture, I had to add a little close-up, isn't she pretty?!

Dreaming of a Frog Prince

Enchantment has re-opened with another round of a magical fairytale theme... This time they hit the Louisiana Bayoux - though that may just be where the Disney version is set - and take on something a little bit croaky... There's a ribbittiness - yes that's a new word - to all of the items this round because, well, the Frog Prince is the new Enchantment!
Fairytale loving Rudh decided to check out the swamps away from home, and ended up needing a nap somewhere pretty... The magic was just too much for our little frog princess wannabe!

I think my favouritest froggy item from this round's line up has to be the Violetility Frog Prince Tiara... This adorable little crown comes with various metal tones, plus 6 different colours for the pearls and petal shaped stones... I LOVE IT, the frog is SO CUTE, and as per usual you can tell it's made with love, as any Violetility product will have been. 
Now the new little Frog Princess is going to take a nap in the pretty lilies that litter the swamp... Even if this isn't the fairytale for you, it's a very pretty location to enjoy, well worth a visit!

Eve of Eden

I'm not a religious person, but I do believe in Karma... No matter what happens to a person there always seems to be something that will come back to haunt a person. 
I'm writing slowly on a rant post to come out in a few days when I have managed to get my brain into action after a very hectic, drama filled few days, but right now all I can think about is that Karma will come back to get people... 
Though today while I'm thinking of religiousness, Christmas is coming and OK that's a combination of both Pagan and Christian religious holidays, so for today I took a trip into something evil that makes me smile... 

A story about woman being seduced by evil... Sounds about right for me, but to be honest, there's nothing Biblical to do with it! 
Even though it looks a little like that thanks to this amazing outfit from CUREMORE, I got this a while ago at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival, which is running until December 6th, but there has been a few leaves added for modesty sake!

The Dino Riding Gator!

Let's start this week off as we mean to go on, with something crazy, random and suiting the way that my brain seems to be working at the moment...
I'm back in the office after a lovely week of working at home - a wonderful week away from the depressing drudgery that is the office building I work in currently - and already it feels like the happy is being drained from me. Hence a need to do something random that will make me smile... Something like it was straight out of a crazy dream... Something like riding a dinosaur, perhaps?!

LOL Only in SL right?! To see a girl dressed like some kind of fantasy being, riding on the back of a T-Rex is just, well, Secondlife... It's as much a weird part of SL as someone saying "I've lost my ears!" BUT in Rudhland, it's true and it happens!!!
My pet Dinosaur is not new but actually he's still kinda fresh out of his packaging... I'd said last week that I was working on Inventory, well I still had a folder of unopened items from past Gacha Events!!! He's a Dino Buddy - the rare Sharp Tooth to be exact - from JIAN and part of a collection of 5 different Dino types each in various colours... I have a full set of these awesome pets, and since I rediscovered them I've been storming all over the Gator Swamp riding my dinosaurs!
Of course, every dino rider needs a prehistoric fantasy outfit too... Rudh is the epitome of cool looking cave girl today hehe... A dress that is actually a GIFT from Vitrimi, made of leaves teamed perfectly with some leafy vines for her arms and legs, as well as the Rare Paradise Collar from Remarkable Oblivion. The Skull headdress that marks Rudh out as a leader of her tribe of Dino Riders is an accessory that comes attached to the Arwen hair from Truth, and it ties the whole outfit together perfectly!!
I went from being a Gator to being a Dino Rider over night LOL - I'm still a Gator but hey these members of the Gator family have bigger teeth than my own MC brothers and sisters... So question is, are you going to join us or become dinner for my pets? Heheh

Dark Sprites and Gacha Guardians

I've been creative as of late, over the weekend I took LOTS and LOTS of pictures and have so much choice over what to blog I am kinda spoilt. It's hard to make these kinda choices at the moment, I mean I have nothing in particular that I feel the need to ramble and rant on about this morning, so I can just choose any of the pretty and hope that you all like it too!
SO this morning, it's something pretty, something random and something that for me feels like a little piece of art... I LOVE the picture that I've decided to share with you this morning... It's another cursed forest fae look - similar to the Flowers for a Dead Thing Fae from a few weeks ago...

This fae is all about the little friend she wears on her arm... What started with a look created by a Gift of the Guardians - yes the Gacha Event - from Static, grew and blossomed into the evil sprite you see before you now... 
The Caterpillar is a release from Static, as I said before, for the Gacha Guardians. Play their machine 10 times and you will be given a key to unlock this adorable little set - each caterpillar style is available as head or arm wear, and although the machine hands out singles, the Gift of the Guardians is a pair! 
The flowers in her hair are by one of my absolute favourite flower makers in SL... LODE have in my opinion some of the best flowers available, and these Wild Roses match perfectly with the colours of my new caterpillar friend...

Poison Ivy for a Villainous Wedding

I'm so glad to say that is is already Friday! FINALLY!! The count down to my trip back to visit family is only 5 days, if we include today too. So as you can imagine I feel a little bit happier today... 
Another thing that is making me happy is that I have finally gotten myself into the mood and completed editing the photos I took for my friend's - and MC brother and sister - wedding. This time last week I had two very nervous friends, who were about to be wed, Comic Book Bad Guy Style! The bride and groom were Harley Quinn and the Joker, and the rest of the guests joined in the costumed fun - poor Batman must have felt a little uncomfortable surrounded by Black Mask, Cat Woman and my chosen character... Poison Ivy... 

Yes, I went as the toxic seductress, but being honest with you I had NO IDEA what I was doing. I spent ages looking at a million different pictures of her in google and when I had no knowledge of ANYTHING about her character and how she looked before it was baffling... She has so many different looks and styles... 
I tried a few different pre-made outfits that I found on marketplace, but I wasn't happy... So I came up with something I felt better in... The base was a Blueberry "Michelle" Swimsuit in green, which I wore with a new MOON "Threads" hairstyle, and a slick of toxic red lipstick - from PSYCHO.Byts. OK I KNOW that Ivy has nothing to do with Daisies, like the ones in her hair, but I figured I was going to a wedding! I was almost ready but I felt like it was missing something... A few mistries later I found it, the perfect things... The set of vines from ((OOC)) which are part of the Eden Outfit - it also includes a skirt and top too - they looked just perfect, sinuously wrapped around Ivy's arms and legs! I was happy!!!
The Bride and Groom looked awesome - as did all the guests - and watching The Joker drag Harley Quinn by her hair is a memory that sticks with me, it was a good wedding and as someone that doesn't normally like weddings, it was definitely one to remember!!!
