Hairy Hare Pirates!

Hair Fair 2022 has started, in fact it's been open for a while now, and there are lots of hairy reasons to pop in for a visit. Hair Fair is a very long standing event in SL now, every year they raise money and awareness for a charity that provides support and happiness for children in need... Wigs for Kids is a charity that creates wigs for children who have lost their hair through illness, providing these kids with a boost of confidence and happiness, something that is very much needed in the world...
This year however, there are also PIRATES... The Hare Fair Hares have become a pirate crew and they are on land in search of hairy treasures... 

Hair Fair this year seems to have been met with mixed reactions from the SL shopping community, but one thing remains the same. There is something for everyone, to meet any budget - be it freebie gifts, exclusive releases from a variety of different designers and even the bandanas, which in years gone by were brilliant for shopping in a laggy, chaotic place. Some of the bigger SL hair designers were not present, but that doesn't matter, there are lots of new designers to find showing off their wares, and I know that I managed to find 4 or 5 styles that I love! 
Whilst there though I also fell in love with the cutest pirate crew, made up exclusively of the Hair Fair Hares, that is until I got myself into the crew, and became the new captain... They loved my hair, which I'd just had done at the Exile booth - who made 25% donation to the cause from any of the purchase sales made, Exile can be found in the Foils Sim of the event.

Making Unboxing Videos!

Yesterday I suffered through a TERRIBLE migraine, and when I wasn't laying in the dark, trying to avoid any form of light or noise, I found moments where things eased and I ended up watching random videos, by some of my favourite ladies, on my phone... There are so many that I'm now addicted to, Celina Spookyboo and her sleepwalking antics, Charlotte Dobre and her diss videos, Emmymade and her cookery videos are all winners! Yet the one that's been getting my attention most over the past few days is GraveyardGirl and her awesome unboxing videos...

Who'd have thought that in 2022 we'd be finding pleasure in watching people open packages?! People always said that there would be flying cars in 2020, LOL HOW WRONG WERE THEY? Since 2020, we've been teaching people how to wash their hands and making videos of people on social media unpacking boxes of things they've bought a popular thing. 
Readying myself to take a leap into the unboxing video game, I made sure I had my camera set up and on my recycled, Old Bar - from Krescendo - tables were ready hold all of the amazing packages that I wanted to unpack - all of the boxes are supplied by Atelier Burgundy. I've set up my theme, and yes today's unboxing video will be rainbows and Pride! I'm going to start ripping open these boxes!

Pretty Clutter on the Shelf!

Keeping the house tidy... It's something that we're all expected to do unless we're able to have someone to do it for you. I will fully admit that I HATE cleaning, and the worst of the worst is dusting... I HATE dusting. The only problem wih that is that I have so many itty, bitty things, and that the city I live in is terrible for creating dust, so therefore if I don't do it often enough, it could easily become a scene in any horror film...

I love that about Second Life though, I can have all kinds of pretty things decorating each an every surface in my house without any need to clean them up. I have gadgets and gizmos a plenty, hoozits and whatsits galore, there are trinkets on every surface...
Beautiful lamps - like the one from Lucas Lameth - sit alongside potion bottles - from Short Leash, at My Bloody Valentine - books balance precariously alongside beautiful potted plants, and the most interesting of pictures are balanced on the shelves... This pictures in particular is a special one, it's a Bell'angelo, a Living Masterpiece - from Short Leash at Abnormality - filled with the prettiest of rose demons... Roses are beautiful but the thorns are definitely the playthings of the rose demon...
Since she's not so clear in the main picture, I had to add a little close-up, isn't she pretty?!

The Dirty Bar

It's Saturday Night, and I'm feeling far too sleepy for anything interesting at the moment. I feel lucky that Rudh can take a few steps back from doing anything and just relax while I write something in my rambling space.
Today she's going to be working at a special new kinda bar... A place called "Dirty" - which just happens to be located in the Backdrop City...

It's a different kind of bar, a place where the only liquids sold is a variety of different flavours of Lube, and you're able to get a tray delivered with varying sizes of toys, including Size Kween Collection - from The Horror!
The waitresses there - as Rudh is clearly showing - are scantily dressed, the Heather Harness from 1313 MockingBird Lane is available at the RLD but it's an awesome top that can either be hooked up or hang loose! She's wearing it with a TABOU Elena Skirt...

Sakura Skinned!

Today looks like it's going to be the a gorgeous spring day, and I'm up early raring to go before I have to head out the door to my new job... I've gotta be good and shower first but You know me by now, I can't resist taking a few minutes to sit back with a cup of tea and share my thoughts here... 
Spring is in the air, and I'm in a particularly good mood, so once again, at times like this I end up making Rudh look a little scarred! It's not my fault it's just something that seems to happen sometimes LOL... At least this time she looks a little spring scarred too!?! 

Oh and yes, she's naked LOL... 
I blame these amazing body scars from The White Crow - or TWC for short - because it was partly their fault for the somewhat macabre spring look! I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them but had no idea how I'd show them off... That was until Ama released their amazing new Sakura collection for this year's round of Bloom, a gacha collection that includes the pretty rings and nail flowers, as well as those delicate little flowers all over her skin... 
I won't be able to help but smile at the blossoms today. I'm really looking forward to heading out to work, so I will see you soon and wish me luck hehe...

Losing her Soulmate

I'm reading a book called "Soulmates" at the moment. It's a weird chick-lit, a young couple fall in love, blah blah blah, you know the kind of thing, but there seems to be a side-line story as they are being watched in some secret government headquarters and there are lots of weird natural, almost disastrous events occurring as they get closer. It's actually kinda cute and interesting all rolled into one, I'm wondering what the heck is going to happen lol - it seems like there are hints of a Romeo and Juliet-ish type love story developing? 
Maybe that's why I'm so feisty and forcing Rudh to do something a little Post-Apocalyptic. She's bringing the female character to life, a girl trying to get back to her love?! 

So Rudh's look was KINDA sorta inspired by this warning of doom, and partly due to the fact that Remnant is now officially open!!
I love this event, even though it doesn't appear to have been publicised properly. It's not available to see in the usual places like Seraphim! Anyway though it's pretty awesome, I bought a feisty looking pair of TABOU Elda pants, that come complete with this ammunitions belt, and a Caution Tape Choker from Vibes - amongst other things... 
Then like the bad ass Merc that she is - thanks to a pose and it's prop from Reve Obscura, my new pose crush store - she creeps through the long grass in the now abandoned, post fallout zone that surrounds Tralala's Diner and hunts for the people trying to keep her away from her love...

Incy, Not-So-Wincy Spider

Spiders have been a phobia for many people throughout the ages, and I know a lot of people are pretty terrified of them, personally I am not one of those people. YES I don't really like them, but I'm not terrified, Hell has to come handle them, but that's not because I'm scared LOL... Maybe you'll believe that?! 
Still at this time of year it's good to start doing things that are a little horrible, and well one dress release leads to a costume and... TADAAAAA.... Spider Rudh!

In one corner of The Forgotten there is a spider lurking in the dark that will usually be found in Gator infested swamps... 
She's tall, draped in webs which have been woven to make a beautifully ethereal dress - thanks to the United Colors -  her friends crawl over her face and rest in her hair, as she calls the spiders to her.

Today's the day that all the bears have their "slaughter"... 

It's not the slaughter of the bears I'm referring to here... Oh no no, Today's the day that all the bears get to go out and Slaughter... Bears of all shapes and sizes - Grizzlies and Polars, Brown Bears and Pandas, even our beloved Teddy Bears are joining in this year's horror massacre, and from the sound of it, they are all having a damn good time as they wander through the forest of The Forgotten!! 
This cute little Teddy Bear, or is that a cleverly disguised human with blood on their mind, seems to be having a wonderful time, displaying a trap as a necklace with... is that... it is!! A human head bucket of candy! 
It's dark in these woods, and unluckily for you the candle just blew out!!!
For those of you interested to know about the details that went into making this picture which in turn became a crazy story in my mind, it all started with me spotting this AMAZING Teddy Bear Mask by Katat0nik. I HAD TO HAVE IT! This wasn't just a want, this was a need... To make things even more exciting about this mask it was FREE all I needed to do was hunt for it... You can get this mask, along with a lot of other awesome goodies as a prize for the Ironwood Hills Hunt until November 5th. Dressed in a Bloody Fae Dress from Kaithleen's, and accessorised with a Tabou Punisher Trap, Bare Rose Gloves and lots of blood, the teddy bear me carries a Head Bucket from Balaclava and a lamp which comes with the pose from Nightmare's Never Slumber Pose Set.

Taking a few minutes away from the monsters, because well that is getting just a little too scary LOL, I opened a box sent from one of the stores I blog for to find that they had made some very biker chick "Rebel" Poses for this month's BishBox, and well you know me being in an MC I couldn't resist taking the time to pose in this set! 

The pose is one from Come Soon, and as I said before it's been released in this month's BishBox, The pose prop includes multiple poses and is perfect for the rebellious amongst us. The Beauty Of The Snow

It got very cold again in Holland yesterday - as it did in many parts of Europe - but this morning we wake up to a layer of thin, but still most definitely there, SNOW!
I don't mind snow on RL on days like today, when I don't need to leave the house but I get so scared of slipping over when it's icy that it becomes a bit of a problem if I ever have to leave the house in it... LOL thank goodness I don't like somewhere that's prone to snow and lots of it, right?!
In SL it's completely different... You cannot fall over unless you really want to LOL... Plus walking around wearing hardly anything isn't going to give you frostbitten bits!! 
Sometimes the snow scenes in SL even seem to have a magical effect, and I find myself dragged into the fairytale corners of my imagination! 

As with any good fairy story, It all starts with a Smile, and the donning of a magical crown of Thorns and Grace - flower hair accessories from LODE - on the head of a lost and lonely damsel... 
More thorns wrapped around her neck, silvering as they grew to form a perfect Nature Collar - from Tabou - while the snowflakes kissed her cheeks and eyelashes. 
I don't know the fairytale, I don't know where it ends but on this day, when the fresh snow covered the ground, as our maiden walked through the dappled light she felt a change in herself. A Bonding to the Goddess of Nature, a freezing of time and space... Not a sound was made as she drifted through the forest... Worshipping the beauty of the snow...

Death's Pretty Pet

The week has officially started, and right now it's Monday Morning but already it feels like it should be bedtime! This time next week I will be enjoying a lovely day off, as my parents are coming from the UK to visit for Sinterklaas - the Dutch Holiday - but that is a whole week away yet and right now I am stuck doing RL things. Work for example, such a rude four letter word!
I feel like doing something a little dark today, yesterday was too cute and I need a little dark and demonic feeling at the moment... Luckily that demonic side of me is ready to come out to play - one of the many sides of my imagination - so let's unleash a little darkness shall we?!

The entire reason the demonic side of me got all excited recently was a dress released by the store Meva. At the recent round of Whimsical - which runs until December 3rd - Meva unleashed their Ariola Dress collection onto SL, and my little demoness was screaming like a teenage fangirl at boyband concert. A selection of colours - mostly dark although there are colours available in the form of the dip-dyed versions - that strap over your torso and end in a very highly slit mini skirt!
Now she lingers in the dark by the cemetary - thanks to a photo location at WHOLE WHEAT - and waits for her Demonic Master to return home!

Want to ROMP with a Hooker?

I've been far too good recently... I get the feeling that right now it's time to let out my inner bad girl, and that may not entirely be all of my own fault... ROMP has started... The best shopping event for those kink lovers out there, in my opinion at least, has started and is celebrating in it's anniversary round... My inner bad girl starts to sing as soon as she steps foot into the ROMP event location... 
Dresses, Jewellery, Marks, Toys and Shoes... Bad girl me was as Happy as a Hooker could be... 

It was the perfect excuse for me to use the Exposeur "Red Light Showcase" Prop that I have used before but only recently bought for myself in the stores huge closing sale. It also gave me a few giggles as I honestly kept singing to myself "How much is that Hooker in the Window?" You'd think I'd be used to scenes like this now, living so close to Amsterdam! 
Hooker Rudh was wearing a couple of pretty things from this month's ROMP event... Her barely there dress - which I assure you from the front looks like a short but somewhat more decent looking black leather dress - is from Method, and it seemed to be a great fit with the adorable Foxy Collars from Tabou. Not that you can see the front of that either, but it's really cute you have to trust me... 
Maybe you can also see that her last client was a little rough on her... That hand print looks like it stings! Big hands too!! Ass Smacks like these are created by Ama at ROMP... You should get your ass smacked today too hehe!! 
Now she's ready to lure the boys in, but I wonder, will lil Hooker Rudhie have any takers?!

Dark Sprites and Gacha Guardians

I've been creative as of late, over the weekend I took LOTS and LOTS of pictures and have so much choice over what to blog I am kinda spoilt. It's hard to make these kinda choices at the moment, I mean I have nothing in particular that I feel the need to ramble and rant on about this morning, so I can just choose any of the pretty and hope that you all like it too!
SO this morning, it's something pretty, something random and something that for me feels like a little piece of art... I LOVE the picture that I've decided to share with you this morning... It's another cursed forest fae look - similar to the Flowers for a Dead Thing Fae from a few weeks ago...

This fae is all about the little friend she wears on her arm... What started with a look created by a Gift of the Guardians - yes the Gacha Event - from Static, grew and blossomed into the evil sprite you see before you now... 
The Caterpillar is a release from Static, as I said before, for the Gacha Guardians. Play their machine 10 times and you will be given a key to unlock this adorable little set - each caterpillar style is available as head or arm wear, and although the machine hands out singles, the Gift of the Guardians is a pair! 
The flowers in her hair are by one of my absolute favourite flower makers in SL... LODE have in my opinion some of the best flowers available, and these Wild Roses match perfectly with the colours of my new caterpillar friend...

When the Weather is Windy - Hair Fair 2016 Photography Contest!

One of the biggest shopping events on the SL calendar is coming, and for those people that are addicted to buying Hair, this is one that is definitely worth knowing about... I'm talking of course about Hair Fair 2016, the biggest hair event in SL that raises thousands of dollars every year for an amazing cause, helping to give children with cancer a little less to worry about! 
Hair Fair brings together a truck-load of SL's Hair Designers - some well known, others not so - each offering exclusive styles to raise money for the charity "Wigs for Kids" and in the coming weeks I will be talking more about the charity, the event and some of the awesome hairstyles available... Yet for now I want to inspire you, and let you know about the AWESOME prizes you can win if you fancy entering the Hair Fair's "Whatever the Weather" Photography contest! 

A little inspiration perhaps from a crazy rambling blogger! I wanted to create something that fitted with the theme of the contest - although I myself won't be entering - I couldn't resist using another pose prop from Exposeur and letting my inner princess out again hehe...
The theme of the contest is "Whatever the Weather", so any contest entry MUST not only focus on hair, but also have a subtle - or not so subtle depending on your ideas - nod towards the weather... My princess was trapped in a tower, that was so high she was up with the clouds and caught by some strong winds, for example!
Now as with any competition, there are a few simple rules! Firstly you need to use one of the hairs from the list of participating designers - I cannot list these all here as there are a lot of them, so I advise that you check out the list on the Hair Fair Photography Contest Web Page before you begin snapping - the web page also shows the full list of rules for this contest, but one of the most important is that there is to be NO NUDITY! That's right people, keep your clothes on, this is an event for children after all... If you're that keen to get naked, you can do it later LOL... OH AND REMEMBER, HAIR IS IMPORTANT IN THE PICTURE, make it your focus LOL... It's HAIR FAIR after all!!! 

All that said though, you should check out the HUGE list of prizes for this contest... First prize winners get 3 full fatpacks from ALL Prize Sponsors, lots of store credits, a VR Studio and VIP Access to the event for themselves and 5 friends!! That's not all though, there will be prizes for second and third places AND 7 Runners Up - all of which will get early access for at least one friend to shop!!! 
HOW CAN YOU NOT WANT TO AT LEAST TRY TO ENTER?! Look I'll even show you the list of prizes per rank... I mean it sounds more than a little bit freaking awesome right?!

Rudh joined the Mickey Mouse Army

Monday Morning, June 20th, and it's raining! It's a true Summers Day here in this part of Europe... One of the funniest realisations came to me this morning... When I initially moved to Holland, all of the Dutch people would tell me that the weather here was better than it is in the UK... NEWS FLASH TO THE DUTCHIES OUT THERE - the weather here is no different to the weather in the UK, it's windier, true, but it rains just as much!!
Still as it's Monday, it's time for me to pull up my big girl panties and swing into fighter mode... I have to work with someone I'm sure you've heard me complain about before, and right now I need to be ready... Perhaps channelling Rudh's latest Army style will give me the power to fight and ignore the irritations in the office?!

This fighter in the Mickey Mouse Army, just happens to be Rudh! She's enjoying a moment's peace - and some WHOLE WHEAT - while she prepares to face any drama that may come her way, and unfortunately knowing SL as well as I do, that won't be too far away.
Her military uniform is made up of the awesome katat0nik "Button Up Romper", which is available this month for Collabor88, and the surprisingly great with the romper "Adrianna Boots" from Pure Poison! Oh and of course not forgetting her whole stack of accessories too...
I'm hoping she's ready for war... I feel it's coming!!!
