A Queen in Hiding!

Finally a day off and I had the chance to have a lay in. It was blissful, until we heard the staff of the shop below arriving for work and disturbing the wonderful slumber... It was so lovely cuddling up with Hell and my cat,and then reality came through and we had to go to our house and do some of the final work before we handover the keys next week... The first thing I NEED to do though is get a very, large cup of coffee... 

Even though I'm happy to have a day off and had a bit of a lay in, I'm still bloody exhausted and I know that HellBone is too...

Milk, Cookies & Cowgirls!

This weekend is Valentine's Weekend and that mean the world is filled with hearts and flowers and romance and sweetness... I am not really a sweet romance kinda girl, I love doing things with my hubby but we're definitely not a romantic pair... We tend to end up doing silly things that make us laugh more than anything... 
Still I'm going to try and get some cute, random, fun in before the holiday and that means after this week I'm done with romance LOL... 

So for today, now that I'm done with work, I'm going to spend a few days at the farm in RL doing a little bit of tidying up, I might also find myself a cute farm hand to enjoy a roll in the hay with. Either that or the cow girl in me will find a way to make sure there is some extra money earnt for the farm by being cute and setting up a kissing booth - which is actually part of the backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis.

Midnight Order Militia

It's January 20th, and that means that today OFFICIALLY the Midnight Order is opening it's doors once again and welcoming the magical spark back into our Second Lives... There is so much going on in the world right now, and I think we need a little magic, a little spark that will make things seem a little better... There is so much going on in the world right now, and not just the wider world, my personal world is in chaos... I NEED to find a way to get myself some answers and calm my mind... I NEED someone to give me a little break... 

I am checking mysef into a cosy little place called Death Row for a while... It's not like the real place but it's a hotel that is themed and the bedrooms are supposed to be cozy, comfortable and padded... Exercise or Spring Rolls?

So a few posts ago I was all gun ho, full of excitement in planning things for the year. Working on getting through the year and maybe finding time for myself along the way... HOWEVER, like I said in that post, I am totally unreliable when it comes to getting exercising... I work SUPER hard every day, and know I should make time for exercise but I'm always running around so when I'm free I love to relax and rest... I've come to a new conclusion in life... It's like Krescendo read my mind... 

"My winter fat is gone. Now I have Spring Rolls" I mean I guess that it's half true, it's not gone it has just trasferred to being my Spring Rolls LOL... I know I'm a big girl in RL, I have no shame admitting that I'm not a skinny beam pole but I'm also not the kinda girl to go without jokes about it. I've always said I have more rolls than the supermarket... 
I gave up on working out and decided to find some food... Suddenly I have craving some Chinese Takeout - from Junk Food - I think I might have to get two portions of Spring Rolls...

Work Out Treats!

Today I was back to working... I want to say working out but actually it was just work plain and simple... I mean it WAS a nightmare to get to work, and involved a lot of me being overly cautious about getting to work which in itself was a workout, yet working out in truth it was not... AND when I did get to work, I allowed myself to have a happy, little treat... 

I have never been one for working out, I have always been good at doing things to keep myself busy but as for doing exercises I'm useless at it... The only time I'd do any stretches would be to reach out for something delicious to eat.

A Moment To Pause...

Home after a very short trip to see my parents in the UK over New Years... Every time I come back it always feels like it was never long enough and I feel totally and utterly empty at the moment. I miss my family and the homesickness never seems to get any easier, but I guess on that note I should warn you... This is my first pensive post of the year, it won't be all fun and games as I have a lot of rambling thoughts to share. If you're not wanting to read all that, I understand, but enjoy the picture and the credits at the bottom of my ramble... Otherwise read on... 

I'm home again, back in my little house on Gingerbread Lane - in this case a backdrop from Synnergy.Tavis - and while Hell is unloading the car, I'm going to take a moment to sit and talk with you over a nice cup of coffee from my cozy Thermos Flask - from andika, available until January 27th at Anthem - and I don't know why but being the snow feels peaceful right now... 
As I've been hinting lately, there will be a LOT of things happening this year and my mind is totally distracted and crazed and not in a very happy place right now... If you asked me about any resolutions for this year, I'd tell you that I simply want to get through the year with everything going smoothly, everyone around me being happy, and all the troubles passing by in the blink of a eye... 
HellBone and I have a MASSIVE undertaking starting in February. Per Dutch Law, our house is in need of some major rennovations. We have to move out for 6 months, and although we're lucky in that the cheese company I work for is able to provide me temporary accomodations for that time, I'm MOVING and we have to clear out the ENTIRE GROUND FLOOR of our house... There is SO MUCH to do and I'm stressing about that... Packing, organising, tidying, cleaning, travelling back and forward to our new location to get things sorted, I need a break already and we haven't even started... 
On another note, there is illness in my family and it makes me worry even more... My grandmother is 93 and suffering with demensia, she also cannot get herself out of bed anymore without the help of a nurse. My grandfather is trying but it's a stress on him, yet he's too stubborn to let anyone else help, and it's causing fights with others in the family. Then there is my Mum... In October, my mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. It's not going to be viable to surgically remove the cancer, so she is going to be undergoing intensive chemo for the next few months. At the moment it's all a case of wait and see what is happening and how things will go, I'm remaining strong for her but behind closed doors I'm broken and crying and STILL trying to focus on the move just to stop myself jumping back on a plane to see my mummy again... 
I'm not in a good place, this year has just started and I'm going to need all the luck I can get. Please bear with me if I start getting upset or my blogging is erratic... If you need support or love or someone to listen, I'll always be here, just remember I care even if I'm not doing well. Keep everything crossed for my mum, for my grandma and for my sanity... I already can't wait for 2026 to be done... OH AND on top of all that, this year I TURN 40!!! Bring it on 2026...

It's 2026! Happy New Year!!

Well it's 2026... The old year has passed and the new year has officially started... In the UK it seemed like a pretty sober affair, apparently it was quieter than it has been in previous years around where my parents live but then when we spoke to people in the NL it was like being in a war zone... There have been reports of fires and issues with fireworks, but that's normal for us in the NL... 
ANYWAY, I'm rambling. When I am home again at the weekend, I will be a little more thoughtful, honest and rambling with things that are comin for the new year but for now... Let's enjoy the festive feeling a little longer?!

SO HAPPY NEW YEAR... 
I hope that your passing from 2025 to the new year of 2026 was a happy and uneventful... I hope that you were in a place that made you feel happy and hopeful and that it sparkled. I mean if that's the change you were going for anyway, I LOVED that it was peaceful, I'd have been happy to spend the new year change with my eyes closed. 
There are so many things coming in the next few months that I NEED the downtime to allow myself to get stronger for what will come... ANYWAY, I will see you again properly on Sunday, for NOW enjoy the last few days of a peaceful weekend and don't miss my ramblings too much... Frost & Snow Elemental

I am once again trying to find a little magic, I NEED some more after the boring day I had at work today. I got home and went in search of the sparkle that would make this season perfect... 
It's rather warm for this time of year at the moment, it's supposed to be Christmas soon, how can it be warm. I bet the big festive day will be warm and wet... Lets see if we can find a little of that frost and snow sparkle... 

On my search, I managed to find just the fae that I was looking for... She's a Rein... Deer...

Another day in the festive period, another Christmassy look to try and find that festive feeling that I am craving so much... Of course I'm going to approach this in my way and there MAY be a little more of the darker, twisted Krampus side to some of my Christmas looks this year, but that's never a bad thing... A little darkness never hurt anyone, right?! 

Today we're doing some snooping around at Santa's place. There is a HUGE amount of rooms here, some with more Christmas decor than others, but you never know who you will meet as you wander the halls... 
We have bumped into someone who is a little bit of a superstar around here, she's one of the super 9, one of Santa's reindeer... Her name is Vixen for a reason, she's a kinky little deer but she's one of Santa's favourites at the North Pole...

The Last Day of November

Well Hi!!! It feels like forever since I had a chance to sit down and talk to you here... I've been such a busy girl in RL that eveerything seemsneglected and then I add to that the way my brain is fully and hurting, and I'm just tired... SO TIRED... Yet here we are, at the end of Novemeber and it doesnt seem hard to think it but how in the holy hell did we get here?! Pft, I guess it's time to try and get into the spirit of the Christmas Season... 

As Brit comedian, Michael McIntyre once commented, once December comes everyone starts discussing the "emotion of Christmassy", the feeling that we get for this festive holiday and I'm looking forward to the moment I get to make my announcement that "today I felt Christmassy for the first time" but right now I'm more interested in being a hibernating bear than celebrating Christmas LOL... 
Still I am going to make an effort, I HAVE to for my own mental wellbeing, and maybe a little Christmas sparkle will make life just that little happier... I've been busy in RL sorting things for the big renovation next year but that meant I was able to get my Christmas decorations out of storage... Is it just me or do we put the same little trickets and decorations out every year?! I cannot bear to spend a Christmas without them, each one is like a little trip down memory lane... A reminder of happy times and the sparkles of days gone by...

A Walk in the Snow

Today has been massive amounts of chaos.. I was supposed to be at work, but that changed due to the arrival of the parts that wereneeded to make our new garden shed, and because they were too heavy to lift I COULD NOT help get them into the garden... SO I had to take today off work - luckily they could find cover for my shift - and then be at home while two young men, that really did NOT look od enough to be playing with power tools, were assembling the shed... Luckily HellBone got home, before they left without making sure things were finished or tidied up as they would have disappeared without saying anything and NOW we get to have the fun of contacting the company to get them to come and sort a few things out... FML... The building project has just begun and I cannot wait for it to be finished... 

I HAVE SO MUCH I could have been doing today, I should have been at work and now I'm left feeling shite because they were such cowboy builders... Where are the good guys like in the old days, that did a good job just for the respect that it would earn them... 
I've also had some horrible news regarding my mother and her RL sickness that turned her yellow... I'm not in a good place right now, and so I need to take a walk and get myself somewhere better brainspace wise. Maybe a walk to get me into a somewhat Christmassy Spirit?!

A Break for Veggies

I'm just home from work and it's been a long and kinda shitty day, but I'm off for the next two days and I plan on resting and relaxing... I will spend all day tomorrow reading books and MAYBE, just maybe find some time to cook something delicious for dinner... I've already stopped off to make sure I have all the groceries I need so I don't have to go out in the cold... 

I got home with the groceries, there was a LOT of fresh veggies today, along with somet things I'd abandoned onto the counter when I walked in... There was a HUGE pile of mail ready and waiting for me, Ive been ordering lots of things on Amazon to get ready for Christmas lol, and there are a few special gifts for myself of course, a girl needs her Christmas themed smut to get her through the upcoming festivities... 
I don't know if anyone else gets like this but sometimes when I'm reading I may have to reach for one of those special adult type toys that make you feel good, and today as I was reading and putting the groceries away I ended up needing a little help... No toys were to be found BUT there was a Flirty Eggplant - from MishMish - in the veggie crate, and well isn't that what the kids say is actually a penis emoji?! If it works, it works right? LOL... Excuse me for a minute, I'm gonna find out if it will work LOL...

Rainbow Bats in the Rave Yard!!

I think that I MAY be one of the very few people in the world that has had nothing to do with K-Pop Demon Hunters... I mean I have seen it advertised everywhere, I know that it features some catchy K-Pop tunes but could not tell you if they were from the movie and aside from being able to look at a picture and say that I recognise the picture I see, I couldn't tell you anything about it... Am I the only one out there that hasn't seen it? 
So even though I know NOTHING, I'm going to admit I LOVE the look and wanted to play with the style on a night out for a little Halloween fun... 

I decided to get all dressed up and head into the Rave Yard, you follow the neon corridor dotted with neon tombstones and follow the instructions on the floor... As above, So below... Searching for the Spirits

It's been a bit of a busy day here today, as HellBone and I are working hard to get things ready for this year's Dark Adventure. We're starting in the middle of October this year so we have a couple more weeks, but it's very busy getting the event set up and the theme ready... More of that will be revealed very soon... Right now we're just busy getting things sorted... Today was a task day that I don't enjoy much... 

My least favourite task when it comes to getting the Halloween events is rounding up the spookies... HellBone says we need haunts to come and play in our event, and that means I need to go out and help him get them from some of the creepiest places in Second Life... Today I set up the Ghost Hunting equipment in the Old Basement - which happens to be the current group gift from Synnergy.Tavis - to go in search of the Crooked Shadows in dark...

Come On, Play With Fire...

I am going to rant tonight about pet peeves because today people were getting on my nerves... I KNOW everyone has pet peeves, things that irritate them that other people do and I know that I may even be someone who irritates others around me but while working I've definitely developed a longer list of things that people that do that irritate the heck outta me... So let's discuss things shall we?! 

I've said it regularly that I work in retail tourism, but that would be in a cheese shop for those of you that are interested, and working in a setting like that you see so many things on a daily basis that make me wanna slap someone...
Firstly, one of the things is the way people act around free samples... Putting dirty hands into bowls of cheese after pushing the tongs used for picking them up out of the way, is just RUDE... Barging people out of the way just to get at the free samples, is just RUDE... Acting like free samples is anal you can eat buffet, is just RUDE... Though I think for me, one of the worst that I have to just shake my head and walk away from HAS to be the way people chew... Slapping their lips when they chew UGHHHH...
Don't even get me started on people that chew gum - which I am totally not against - and then rather thanputting the gum into the bin, they stick it under the table top or the nearest shelf... That's not just rude, that's a DICK MOVE!!!! If I see anyone doing that, they are playing with fire...

Mushroom Harvest Starts, The Celebration Begins!

My working week is finaly done and it's the weekend, so I'm going to let my hair down and have alovely, relaxing party - Pyjama's and Relaxing Time YAY! - there hasn't been much time for that this week and I truly need a rest at the moment. I don't know why, I'm exhausted... It must be the time of year as the season is beginning to change... 
I get home and I'm about to head inside and relax when the fairy senses inside me started tingling... There was something going on in the fairy grove and I had to go check... 

When I got to the fairy glade, having morphed from standard boring human to something a little more magical, I stumbled upon a different kind of party. Not the relaxing pyjama party I'd been hoping for, but a Mushroom Buddies - a new release from Pitaya for The Fifty - have been picking Orchand mushrooms to get ready for the Autumn feasts and hibernation preparation... Now I KNOW I wasn't keen on the idea of having to do anything more than relax BUT I can't turn down this kinda party, they have tea and CAKE!!!

The Walk of Shame

Yesterday was my 19th Second Life Rez Day and that meant that she has now enterd the final year of her SL teens... That's a big scary thought... I've been in SL for nearly 2 decades... WHAT THE HECK where did time go???
Of course, being the typical teenager that she is, it was definitely a good reason to go out for a little party!!!

Now that a new day has begun, and in my neck of the woods almost finished, Rudh willbe suffering the consequences of her fun time out partying... When you get old it always seems to feel harder after a drink or two. Maybe that's just me but I aways end up feeling yucky the next morning, and hangovers definitely last a week or more LOL...
She made the walk of shame home this morning... The lights were just coming on in the houses as people were waking up to start their days... She´d decided that the hair of the dog was a good idea, carrying home with her a Wine Box of Pink Moscato - which is an Anthology release from Junk Food - that may or may not be leaking over her shoes... Just gotta hpe she can get home before HellBone wakes up...

Who let the Cats in?

Being an Assistant manager SUCKS... While my boss is on vacation I've been drafted in to cover her role, and I'm working my butt off... So much so that I'm working ALL WEEKEND this week... I don't want to be working, I want to be doing the fun things like reading, taking pictures in SL or napping... A nap would be fantastic, but there is no rest for the wicked, and apparently I'm wicked... I will find a way to relax, even if I have to lock myself in a dark room and work on my pictures...  

Not sure if being in a dark room - which is a backdrop from blaink by the way - when all I want to do is nap, but maybe the smell of the chemicals will help me stay awake... OR Maybe they will knock me out?! I will have to make sure that I put my cameras down before I fall down and snooze... I've always got a camera with me in RL - something like the ones from Synnergy.Tavis which are a posed holdable - but never have I ever been in a dark room... 
I was enjoying myself and minding my own business, but my stomach was starting to grumble a little bit and as if by magic, HellBone appeared with a snack... Hoding the snack in his hand, as he opened the door, I didn't manage to get the "NOOOOOO" out before my cats all dashed into the room and started causing chaos... They don't even take time to Paws and Reflect - which is the gacha collection from Aardvark in which you can find all these kitties... Chaos ensues...

Packed and Ready to Go!!!

OK it's here, today will be the last post I make before I say farewell and get overly excited... Tomorrow is the day that I leave the Netherlands and head back to the UK, and as you may have already guessed I'm more than a little excited about the prospect... I'm packed and ready to go, everything is ready and waiting and it's just ONE MORE SLEEP!!! 

I mean I will be heading to the UK but I'm definitely going to be a passenger princess... HellBone drives, and I sit... The ferry captain and his crew drive, and I sleep in a comfy bed with my own private toilet in a cabin onboard... Then HellBone drives across the UK to my Mummy and Daddy's while I sit... 
I've made sure that everything is packed, I'm wearing something comfy - which happens to be the miss chelsea Mina Set that is available now until August 6th at Equal10 - I've got the passports AND I've packed a Summer Picnic Basket - from Junk Food - with lots of snacks... I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Gittering at the Roller Disco

I need some happy, I want to let my hair down and dance, and although all I'm listening to at the moment seems to be Black Sabbath, I feel like it brings me to tears every now and again... 
I might have to switch it up and listen to something a bit more cheesy pop as I head into my last day of work... Tomorrow I have one more work shift then I am on holiday for a couple of weeks YAY... 

I feel like I want to go back into my past and one of those crazy fun Saturday nights that we used to go to at the youth rollerskating rink... It was nothing special as they just turned a sports hall into the rink by adding a DJ booth at one end and spent a few hours playing cheesy pop music... 
I feel like that's what I need right now, it's definitely feeling like that wil help me get through the next few days before I go home...
